"This no-frills spot pizza spot serves delightfully foldable slices dripping with house-made, delicately sweet tomato sauce. Try the popular gyro or chicken gyro pizza for a balance of savory meat, peppers, and onions with a cooling cucumber sauce. Slice of New York also serves meat-packed hot sandwiches, hefty calzones, and pasta classics like spaghetti and lasagna." - Natalia Mendez, Justine Jones

Google
Exactly what you would expect for a slice of NY style pizza. Not my cup of tea but if you like that style you’d probably like it! Various different pizza options + build your own. Place looks a little messy but it’s good for a quick causal slice.

Google
just got back from a trip to New York and had a craving. Pretty good, the crust could be a tad less dry, slightly more greasy wouldnt hurt. also felt like they skimped on the pepperoni - too many gaps. but it hit the spot so 4 stars.

Andrew Abi-Mansour

Google
Pretty decent place for NY style pizza. What they get right is the tomato sauce, the cheese, and the slice size. What they could improve on is the crust, which is a bit thicker than it needs to be. A thinner crust would make the slice also perfectly foldable without cracking, and it would alleviate the tomato sauce/ cheese taste.

Google
Ordered hamburger and onion pizza no onion when pizza arrived menu says hamburger it is not it’s processed sooo to save dollars take advantage of dominoes they are way better even if cold or hot

Google
The slice of pizza was good.Let the whole piece up.It was not good

Google
This is the real deal! I can't find a better New York style pizza around. It's so good I drive in 35 minutes from the Northern suburbs just to get it! The bonus is that the staff is great! The pizza and bread sticks, though, there's nothing as good as they are!

Nathaniel Andersen

Google
Definitely a New York slice kinda place, but each component was a bit off. The sauce was the best part, but not amazing. The cheese wasn’t fresh motz. The crust…no one wanted to eat their crust. On top of that, of the three pies we got. The crust was unevenly done on each. Not done, normally done, and then crispy brown. You’d think the last would be best, but it just tasted burned. It wasn’t terrible (better than a chain pizza), but it definitely wasn’t a great pie.

Google
THE SLICE IS NOT NICE! Ordered delivery for a small office party. Placed the order online with a 15% tip. One of the entrees was open and leaking through the bag when delivered. The delivery person was incredibly rude to reception staff and told them to tell me to tip better. I called the restaurant and they said if the food was right, they did their job. I was also told the delivery person complained about their $2.00 tip. Since when is $2.00 15% of $43.00? That's some fancy math! Thank goodness you got the food "right"! Thanks, Slice of New York for making what should have been a pleasant holiday lunch for our office stressful. We find housing for individuals facing homeless so in order to avoid more stress, we'll order elsewhere. P.S. We know it was not DoorDash. P.S.S. I provide math tutoring on the side so if you need help those percents, let me know.

Yelp
Best New York style pizza I've had in the twin cities area, no contest. Atmosphere felt exactly like a New York pizza shop. Quick service.

Yelp
I never care enough to write a review of restaurants but my experience with this place was terrible. I decided to order off Slice, the app, to give this place a go. I had it delivered so it was overpriced and not worth it since it was burnt. I contacted Slice to get a refund, who in return contacted a slice of New York to conduct that but I was denied. I said I had proof but a slice of New York doesn't have an official email so I was supposed to send the pictures to an employee to their personal phone number. Very weird, disappointing, and unprofessional experience.

Yelp
Oh man I love a giant slice of New York pizza and this place absolutely delivers! They have a wide variety of options available as slices all day. They have some fun varieties which makes it hard to choose so you may as well get more than one haha. The service is quick and friendly. You can see through the windows of which ones to order. There are places to sit and enjoy with plenty of natural light or you can take your slice on the go. The place itself is clean and has a nice comfortable atmosphere. Only go if you love a big foldable slice of gooey greasy pizza! Now I'm craving one (or three). Ha!

Yelp
My second pizza place since arriving in Minneapolis and no matter where I am, I'm looking for food I crave the most....authentic New York pizza. Especially if sold by the slice like I did living in New York. Purchased two supreme, 1 pepperoni and sausage, and 1 cheese slice. Also tried their beef calzone (but I should have tried the veggie instead. They don't sell pork, only beef. First for me, beef pepperoni and beef sausage. The pizza slices were true New York size slices. I could fold up the slices to eat them. Good amount of toppings on the supreme slices, not as much on the pep and sausage slice. But the cheese slice was my taste test. Good cheese and the crust was okay. But the crust didn't have that New York taste. Just didn't seem to have the special New York water used in making the crust. The beef calzone was another matter. Filled with meat but I favor a more Italian sub-like calzone. The beef meat was not my favorite. Would have liked more cheese. Should have gone with the veggie calzone. I would have given a 3.5 but an only rate in whole numbers. Would I come back for a late night slice, yes maybe. But my search continues.

Yelp
My favorite local pizza joint! The pizza is excellent, my favorites are the pineapple and the supreme! Service is great and quick, the ambience is clean, family oriented, with educational television playing in the background!

Tim R.

Yelp
They do a very good job of New York style pizza by the slice here. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very rustic.

Andre M.

Yelp
Literally the worst pizza I've ever had including frozen pizza. I have no idea what people mouths are on lol.

Ismail A.

Yelp
As a native New Yorker, I had to give this spot a try and I gotta say, they definitely got it right! This is the best pizza I have had in Minneapolis bar none. They do not use pork ingredients so, I got a medium pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. The cheese to sauce ratio was a little high, but that's how I like my pizza. Besides the excess of NY ornaments and NY themed decorations, I felt like I was walking into an authentic NY pizza joint. It was clean and pleasant inside however, I did not get the chance to review the condition of the bathroom. They are located in front of a bus stop but parking was doable and there is additional parking in the back of the restaurant. My pie was reasonably priced and ready in the time frame I was given (10-15 min). The service was smooth. This is my official go-to restaurant when I'm craving pizza in Minneapolis.

Alexander P.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Perfect slice. Char'd at the bottom. And while I was eating in the store I saw they were making an order using fresh ingredients l. Music in the lobby was also enjoyable.

Eli T.

Yelp
Nice place to stop when you need a late night slice of pizza. My buddy and I stopped in here when visiting the area. Good pizza, decent prices, nice service! Definitely would return to this place in the future

Lamark B.

Yelp
It's Pi day so I decided to stop for a slice after my Drs appointment and this place had been recommended to me a few times. I got a pepperoni and Sausage slice and a garlic knot. The slice wasn't bad but it wasn't great or outstanding either. This place doesn't sell pork so all the meat products are beef. This was a typical slice spot where you order and they heat your slice up so my slice did come out hot. Because they only sell beef products you might want to add a bit of s and p because the slice was a bit bland. The garlic knot tasted nothing like garlic at all and my marinara was served to me cold. They definitely lose points for this. The crust on the slice was fairly enjoyable though. Would I go out my way to come here? No. Would I eat here again. Maybe.i do know that Mesa or Frank and Andreas( my personal fave) is a much better slice option

Dan A.

Yelp
Ordered a large pizza and it was delicious. Great crust and flavor. Place is doing it right.

Sab S.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite place . A little disappointed with the service. I ordered a well done pizza as per usual and they served an me old pizza .

Peter S.

Yelp
This place has been going downhill for years. Smaller slices, worse ingredients. They are dealing with inflation by lowering quality rather than raising prices. Not my idea of a good way to handle it.

Paul C.

Yelp
I've been going to a slice of New York for 10+ years. They have great pizza. My favorite is the feta and tomato. The staff is always really nice and attentive. Call ahead and get a whole pizza, it's worth it.

Kerry M.

Yelp
New Yorker born and raised here! A word to my Minnesotans: this is the BEST pizza you will find in the Twin Cities. A word to my New Yorkers: if you go in with Bronx expectations, you'll be disappointed. The minerals in the water just don't create same chemical reactions in the dough but this is the closest you will get in the midwest. Dough deficits were more prominent in the calzone, so I'd skip and go straight for a classic cheese pizza. Cheese and sauce were delicious. The thin doughy-ness of the crust was just right. Those who complain in other reviews about reheating don't get that the brick and oven reheat is essential for bringing the flavors come together. Pizza here is both fresh and flavorful. Cannoli was a delightful treat to top it off. Decor created a true NY vibe. Online ordering process was smooth. I also appreciate the PayPal option (as a secure online payment option). Order was confirmed immediately and came out quicker than expected.

Yelp
I moved to Minneapolis about a year ago, and I have been a frequent customer to this place ever since I tried it. The pizza is so delicious and the perfect Sunday night dinner. Occasionally, we'll get the Cesar Salad and garlic rolls to go along with it. The salad is nothing special. Just simple salad with dressing packets to go with. The bread is also good but not heart stopping. The delivery service is always fast and come before expected delivery time. The pizza is always good. I highly recommend.

Karla V.

Yelp
AMAZING AND DELICIOUS! My husband and I discovered this place and haven't looked back, their pizza sauce gives it a New York delicious taste, they're fast and their staff is super nice.

Christina G.

Yelp
OMG!!!! This place was so good!!!! My husband is from Queens and he was impressed at how much this pizza tasted like he was back in New York!! Staff were very friendly. This is our go to place for pizza now

Chris T.

Yelp
Bought meat stromboli and it was in the oven like 15 minutes and could only taste burned oven taste n

Kimberly R.

Yelp
I lived in Queens for 7 years and unfortunately a NY slice this is not. Then again I haven't found a slice close to one here in Minneapolis. The nostalgic NYC decorations though were nice and reminiscent of so many fun nights out! I gave the restaurant 3 stars though because I appreciated the wide selection of foods like the Stromboli's, calzones and pizza by the slice. I end up ordering the meat calzone and a slice of cheese pizza. The calzone has good flavor with lots of meat but not enough ricotta and mozzarella cheese. The pizza was decent but needed that extra cheese and crispy crust to be anywhere close to a NYC slice. I'd go here again for a dinner since it's close by but definitely wouldn't go expecting an authentic slice.

Kelli D.

Yelp
I've never had that great of an experience with pizza-by-the-slice places, but it was late and I was hungry and this place was near by. I was pleasantly surprised. The vegetarian slice I ordered (forgot the name) was pretty tasty. It had spinach, bell peppers, banana peppers and two types of olives. It really hit the spot! The guy at the counter was friendly and I didn't have to wait long. The slices are huge and reasonable priced. Parking in this area can be difficult even late at night.

Abria M.

Yelp
best community pizza spot. being in an position of starvation, whomever that gentleman was, was very much generous in so many words i couldn't explain. the thrive they have inside is amazing. an establishment with amazing staff and great customer service and ambiance. thank you (the gentleman who given me the slice of pizza god bless you)

Scot F.

Yelp
Forgetaboutit!!!! If you crave a slice of NYC Cheese Pizza, this is the place! It's as close as you are going to get the Big Apple pizza joints. Throw in the classic mini dining area, a broken window and a little dust and you feel right at home. The service is fast, friendly and before you know it, you'll be folding a slice of pie for dinner.

Atikur R.

Yelp
The pizza is really good. The moment I got in, it felt like I'm in NYC. The owner is a very nice guy.

Alex B.

Yelp
Came here twice while I was visiting for the weekend. Great prices and service. I would prefer freshly cooked but they reheat your order. Still a good value for the price. I would definitely go again if I were back in Minnesota and it was close to the hotel.

Soapy N.

Yelp
Very nice thin crispy crust. They do have to cut up and reheat but it still tastes very fresh. I will definitely be back.$4 for a giant slice.

Wendy G.

Yelp
I love New York Pizza and the pizza here was delicious!! The slices were large. They came out of the oven not and crispy., My garden salad was good also.

Paul K.

Yelp
This is the BEST slice of NY style pizza in the twin cities. I love this place. The atmosphere, the pictures on the wall, the seating, the food and the workers. The best slice personally is the Tomato and Feta. Save room for a piece of Baklava. Super good.

Kirk R.

Yelp
Growing up in Queens, I know New York pizza. this is a poor excuse for it. That wasn't the worst part. They served a piece of baklava via delivery with a bite taken out of it! Be wary of the food you order. They attempted to pass it off as a break, but the baklava was perfectly formed and sliced, save the bite taken out of it. They offered more baklava with the next order, but no thanks. Not after the rude customer service I received on the phone.

Angel S.

Yelp
This is a good place the attention of the owner is phenomenal he try to please the customer always good pizza decent price would I eat here again? yes of course they make you feel like home

Ann L. D.

Yelp
Awesome destination to get a really great affordable pie! New York Pizza at it's best!

Jill Z.

Yelp
If you are from the East Coast, then you will appreciate this pizza! You will appreciate it if you are not from there! Its also a local business so it feels good to support them! My only complain is that they used styrofoam - (which is not allowed in Minneapolis anymore and for good environmental reasons)- so I hope they stop using it for their other dishes besides pizza.... other than that we had 2 good experiences ordering from there recently.

Allie E.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and was pretty disappointed. First, I got a chicken gyro and it did not show up with the additional toppings that I requested online, or the chips and drink that I paid for. Also, the gyro meat is just bland grilled chicken, not shawarma style chicken like I was expecting since it's advertised as a gyro. We also got a "chicken parm" hero, which was made with the same bland grilled chicken. In my experience, chicken parmesan refers to chicken that has been breaded in parmesan cheese and bread crumbs, then fried. However, this was was just plain grilled chicken on a sub with marinara and melted provolone. Definitely not what I was expecting. Overall, the food was just mediocre. I wouldn't go back.

Benjamin S.

Yelp
This place is good, like really good.... I find most pizza in Minnesota to be boring and the crust to always be lackluster, this crust is perfect however and the veggie and tomato/feta slices I had were perfect. Had to go slices warmed up in the oven for lunch, will for sure be ordering a whole pizza in the future.

Cosimo Medici M.

Yelp
Finally an actual pizza parlor counter that sells slices, calzones & stromboli's. The pizza crust was good, for once i found crust thats more of what pizza is. Im tired of cracker crust with piles of stuff on which seems to be the normal..The ingredients were a little slippy and not holding on to the slice but it was a good slice.. if you havent had it chicken roll it's a must.. it didnt have spinach which is usually how its made but none the less it was good.. the sauce does need work, its was bit sweet and little undercooked, it was missing that deep slow roasted complex flavor that comes from sauce cooked all day slow.. it could of had more spice and herbs as well. But still these guys scored high marks. When you put it all together it was a great pizza. I would highly recommend mix and match , buy a few difference topped slices..

Lisa M.

Yelp
The pizza here is so delicious. The slices are huge. The crust has a nice crunch. The sauce will leave you wanting more. We will drive 20 miles from the southern suburbs to get pizza here. We order a whole pizza and have them cook it halfway - uncut. When we get home we can cut what we want and cook it the rest away.

Kristina D.

Yelp
I'm a NY transplant and absolutely reccomend this place to anyone looking for NY style pizza.

Hima M.

Yelp
Delicious slices that taste like home. You know a pizza place is legit when you crave their basic cheese pizza!

Brianna E.

Yelp
Love pizza by the slice places. This place has a decent thin crust pizza. We tried a slice of supreme and a slice of a Mediterranean type pizza with feta, roasted tomatoes, and olives. I'm not from the area so I can't compare it to other local pizzerias but we liked what we had and would eat there again.

Kolton L.

Yelp
This is a must spot for pizza. It's a very chill ambiance. The pizza isn't always fresh but regardless they heat it up and it's still just as good. They have many options and unique food.

Santiago R.

Yelp
Got their pizza, wings, and garlic bread with cheese and my expectations were excited with ever dish.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Best pizza and calzones. Staff is always friendly and they are open late to accommodate bar hours on the weekend.

Melissa S.

Yelp
So excited to have found this place (thanks, Yelp!) because they're serving up the closest thing I've found to NY style pizza in MN. I just returned from my first-ever trip to NYC a week ago, and I came back a changed woman. Changed in that after I had NY pizza, I realized I'd been cheated my entire life out of what pizza passes for here in the Midwest (and most other places). See I'm a fan of thin crust pizza, but I don't like it to be to wet/floppy--it must have a crunch the entire way through. That's exactly what I found the pizza to be like in NY, and believe me I ate a LOT of pizza--6 different places in 2 days, as a matter of fact. I was like an out-of-shape 30-ish Midwesterner version of a teenage mutant ninja turtle out there when it came to pizza. I was unstoppable and as I boarded the plane to return home, I grabbed one last slice to soak up my tears of knowing I might never have pizza exactly the way I like it until one day I could return to NY. I ordered two slices of cheese to go. This place is TINY, maybe 5 little tables. There was a soccer game blaring from the TV which was why I deducted one star--I don't know what kind of chant or whistles were coming from the stadium crowd but it was damn near deafening and I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there, it was making me anxious. The crust was perfect!!! The sauce also had that slight sweetness that I found to be consistent with the NY pizza I tried. The cheese was just the right amount. Overall the flavor was maybe a LITTLE bland but what do you expect from plain cheese pizza?! Nothing a little shake of garlic salt and red pepper flakes can't fix, and I add that to all pizza anyway. Sorry, Punch and Luce, but this place is my jam now.

Brianne J.

Yelp
I needed to update because i stopped in with a friend for only a slice of pizza and I gotta say it's the best pizza I've had in Minneapolis. The crust is perfect. Also the employees are super nice and it was quick service. I'll be back regularly to grab a slice.

Annie S.

Yelp
Steak and cheese sandwich was amazing! Pizza is really good too. It really is east coast style. Great ratio of sauce to crust to cheese...roasted taters are good too but needed a lil salt. Single slices available. We will order again for sure. Thanks!

K H.

Yelp
FINALY a real pizza! New York style crust... As my man says you"re not obligated to eat the crust, you want to. Ordered the Long Island veggie- loaded with veggies: spinach onion, black and green olive, green pepper and mushroom. I'm so happy with this late night choice! NY, I will be back! Oh they also offer slices, sandwiches, Heros, calzones, salads wings and pasta. They make their own sauce!!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Hold me Wrap me in a pizza blanket Touch me gently with your chili flakes Tuck me in at 3am. /\ -- Above you'll find an artistic, abstract poem. Been wanting to come here for EVER, finally made it in at 3am. The guys working were super nice, still churning out fresh slices. Got the margarita, which and fresh basil and I think feta on it. Huge slice, cheap price, fresh bites (aka they heat it up in their oven again to make it warm and crispy). Don't you worry, I'll be back.

Shawn S.

Yelp
I am from New York so I write this review wanting this place to be good and a bit worried about the Goodfella/Godfather/etc references on the wall, but I gotta be me. The pizza is not great. But I haven't found greatness in MPLS either. But it could use more sauce, more toppings, a better crust. They are open till 3AM, so maybe that is where they do most of their business. The owner is a New Yorker, and I loved the nostalgic photos on the wall, the artifacts, but the pizza and other food needs a bit of a boost. They have HD TV for games.
