A nice Italian restaurant. Enjoyed my meal quite a lot. The service is very good. The cocktails are excellent. The only thing that was out of place for such a great atmosphere and exceptional food was the music. They played all the hit songs from a Gen X prom. It was weird to have such a fine dining experience and hear 80's pop songs.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! My friends told me about this place as one of their favorites, and did Joe deliver! Their menu is constantly changing, but Joe still made me a carbonara that wasn’t on the menu that night. A carbonara with a little hit of wine and a little bit of onion to make it their own! Had a bite of the branzino, which had a marvelously crunchy exterior and a perfectly cooked interior. Finished with the sticky toffee. Also highly recommended!

10 stars out of 5! This was the first place that my husband and I ate at mid-pandemic, after recently moving to Winchester. And it was such a great experience that we've never stopped going back - no really, we're there at least once a week. It's got a small, family vibe with staff and food quality that rival much bigger, fancier joints with higher price points. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful and creative menu planning, family-friendly, reasonable prices, options for those with food allergies, engaging cooks and servers that know us like family -- and all of this right in downtown Winchester! They also host amazing wine dinners where you get the chance to sample a range of lovely beverages that aren't easily found in liquor stores, and have done a fantastic job catering for our family holiday meals and parties. We honestly never expected to find a place like this in the Boston area, it's a true gem and a source of community, and we take all our friends there.

Google
Food The appetiser was certainly the highlight of my dinner. I was impressed with the smashed white bean (not sure if that’s how they call it). I couldn’t tell what it was because even though it had a mild flavour, it was good. For entree, I ordered risotto, and I didn’t like it very much. The taste was fine, but it was too bland and plain to me, which made me feel like I was just eating some saucy rice. Everything else It is a cozy family style restaurant and the service was great. When it's *this* hot out, all I want are 'summer light' bites Luckily A Tavola in Winchester fits the bill! What I love is that everything was so fresh and the menu is everchanging; the night I dined there, Chef Joe spoke highly of the fisherman he got the branzino from and the farmers market he got some of the produce used in that night's dishes from. Some of the dishes I was able to taste (& my phone ate first) were: * Beet Salad - horseradish crema, cucumbers, whole grain vin * Branzino - blistered shishitos, shaved artichoke salsa verde * Halibut - olive oil poached herloom tomatoes, basil, oregano & garlic * Strawberry Shortcake - vanilla white cake, fresh and macerated strawberries, cream cheese whip * Blueberry Ricotta Cake - ricotta, blueberry glaze All of these dishes were complimented by my two craft beers - Bent Water Brewing's Premium Lager on Draft and Lone Pine Brewing's Summer Lights Citrus Wheat Ale. A Tavola, like their food menu, has a rotating beer & cider menu featuring new brews from New England craft breweries and cideries. Incredible food in a warm, intimate space featuring an open kitchen, newly opened expansion and a patio space to take advantage of this beautiful weather! A neighborhood restaurant that is truly invested in the community through collaborations, giving back and even partnering with the local elementary school to run a Seed to plate program to educate children about how to harvest ta garden and turn it's bounty into food for the table - a true seed to plate full circle! They also offer cooking classes, wine dinners, BBQ & Bourbon Dinners so keep an eye on their Instagram and website for upcoming events!

Update Antipasto, smoked house made mozzarella sticks, more cocktails than I can even remember, fresh burrata over beets, grilled eggplant with Calabrese sauce, tuna tartare, whole fish bronzino, halibut, an amazing housemaid Burger with in house grind combo. Then dessert... This was an amazing night for a Taste of New England Supper Club. Thank you to @chefcarli @a_tavola_winchester and all who joined us A Tavola in Winchester serves the freshest scratch made Italian favorites Like Antipasti, carbonara and arancini But my favorite dish at A Tavola is Chef Joe's Bolognese made with basil, oregano, parmesan and  a beef, pork & veal ragu, over fresh tagliatelle pasta.

Google
Joe and the staff at A Tavola go above and beyond at every turn to make you feel at home. Super cozy space, great outdoor patio and cute bar set up that looks into the kitchen. The cocktails, wine list and menu are ever changing, always fresh and interesting. From wine dinners to burger nights + cocktail classes they have done a wonderful job putting together a community of fun loving foodies. Joe took over the space just prior to the pandemic and I admired his proactive approach and efforts to engage the community. He never takes his foot off the gas and does everything to ensure each person who steps through the door walks out happy. A few of my fav dishes are the rabbit, the roasted pork, Bronzino, tuna tartar + believe it or not the chicken is outstanding and of course the cookies for dessert (get the adult version). The pastas are all homemade and the bolognese is my husbands fav. I’m realizing I just listed their entire menu. So just go, eat, laugh with the staff and be happy!

Google
Food was fairly good although portions on smaller side especially the fish. Main issue was when the check came there was a 4% charge for the kitchen help. It was explained that since the kitchen help didn’t receive tips that was added to make up for the disparity. I don’t feel clientele should have to subsidize the pay for the help due to a cheap owner. Better to add the 4% into the cost of the meal and pay your help a livable wage.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about A Tavola! We hosted a private event here and it was excellent. Every single person, including me, raved about the food which is what I really want to tell you about. To crank out 40+ salads, dinners, deserts and still check on people's drinks and special requests all the while having the food taste AMAZING is a huge feat! The salads were very good - I had Ceasar - very nice. That dang steak- so stupidly easy to cut and chew - no gristle, no bad parts - wonderful crust on it and gorgeously cooked inside. I have had a lot of steaks in my time and this one easily rates among the best. Highly recommend. I don't like swordfish at all, but everyone else LOVED IT! Swordfish - can you believe it? Oh the deserts - the chocolate cake thing was amazing! So lush and divine - absolutely worth the calories! I tried the bread pudding - has a unique sugar crust to it - wow! Staff is all nice and friendly and hard working. My hats off to this place - they really outdid themselves! Please try this place and let me know how great it was!!!!

Yelp
The food was absolutely fantastic. Came with my friend who said the Lamb Osso Bucco was one of the best lamb dishes he has ever had. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and was very satisfied. The portions were great and all the food including the bread was amazing. The bread is made fresh so that was a major plus. The service is amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He was helpful recommending dishes and cocktails and gave his honest opinions. It's a small place and definitely has a romantic vibe. We didn't get to sit at the chefs table but that looks like a fun experience for the next visit. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner out in Winchester.

Yelp
We recently hosted a party here. We rented out the entire place. Everything was great. The food, drinks and service - all of it. They made it all so easy for us we hardly had to do anything for the party. And our guests were pleased with everything as well.

Dilek K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Love the places where you could enjoy watching chefs cooking the dishes. It is a go to stop with my family and one of the best places in Winchester!!!

Dorit S.

Yelp
I have been going here for a few years now and each time I am reminded how absolutely incredible this spot is. The owner gets his ingredients from a local farmers market and it shows. The food is fresh and flavorful and put together with care and love. You can't go wrong with anything you order. They recently expanded to a bigger space but were still able to keep the cozy vibe. They also have an outdoor area for those who want to enjoy the weather. You have to check this place out at least once! You will definitely want to go back time and time again

Yelp
Quaint restaurant in the heart of Winchester Waiter very attentive Maitre D very accommodating and personable The chef Joe Carli came out to all tables to talk to new and old customers Antipasto dish was great and fed 4 people Bread baked on premises warm moist soft while crust was firm and crunchy Shrimp scampi over gnocchi was delish

Yelp
My husband and I go here every Valentine's Day for the past few years and the food is always AMAZING!! The chef and staff are always nice and make us feel welcomed. The Italian food is homemade and delicious! We are excited for our next date night!!

Yelp
This is the restaurant I first took my son Edmund after meeting him for the first time 5 years ago! Will never ever be more nostalgic. Take him here and Olive Garden every year to remember the first time we met. love this place!

Stacey G.

Yelp
Awful awful awful! Expensive terrible Italian food. If you like Olive Garden go there! It's better than A Tavola! Service was awful! Lots of empty seats yet told by hostess that we'd have a 20 minute wait. I asked a manager about the wait and was sat immediately. It's very loud & casual. If you like Italian food you should steer clear of this place!

Barrie B.

Yelp
Love the variety and the fact that the menu changes but mostly the people who work here are great.

Gayle R.

Yelp
Very disappointed in our meals. Bolognese Ragu was tasteless, no sauce, just crumbled meat. Chicken al Mattone was supposed to be moist but had zero flavor and vegetables with it were inedible, undercooked and no flavor. Only the bread and child's mac and cheese were edible. Draft beer was $10, entrees $30 and they upcharge 3% kitchen fee. Would not mind if food was even half decent. Don't waste your money when other options around.

A G.

Yelp
Great food at this Winchester Italian restaurant. The pasta is made on site and the recipes are delicious. The wine selection is not great and the price quality is not there. They do make their own lemoncello in a variety of flavors. Good to finish a nice meal.

Nancy G.

Yelp
I attended a birthday party at A Tavola on Saturday night and experienced a delicious meal. The service ,as always, was attentive to every detail from cocktails to cake and cannoli. The appetizers included Roasted Egglpant,Speck,Lobster Bisque, and Insalata. That was followed by a choice of (my favorite)Parmesan Ravioli, Ribeye, Swordfish, or Ragu Bolognese. And for the partygoers that still had room...dessert consisted of Birthday cake, Cannoli and cookies! I would highly recommend A Tavola and all it has to offer for your next birthday/holiday party!

Erin G.

Yelp
One of the most disappointing meals I've had in memory. Part of the meal was left behind and I had to go back for it. We ordered a kids' salad that was described as full of pickles. No pickles. Just lettuce. The kids' chicken tasted old and the potatoes/carrots with it looked like very sad leftovers. The steak was smothered in a weird smelling cheese, which was not at all mentioned in the online takeout menu. A lot of people don't like strong cheese so it would be good to know it's included. Meanwhile the seafood pasta I ordered smelled fishy and old and terrible. I've had seafood pasta and this ain't it. Everything was lacking salt and flavor. The desserts were watery and bland. I ordered takeout to have a break from cooking and had to make myself a grilled cheese because this was so inedible. The one good thing was the popcorn, but still could have used some salt.

Tom F.

Yelp
Apps were great. Service was great. Entrees a disaster. Waited an hour. Hastily prepared and missing ingredients. Asked to remove one from bill. Sorry, but no. Run! "We have a new chef!" who obviously hasn't a clue.

Matt D.

Yelp
The antipasto is a must. There is Bean dip that is addictive - very unique compared to other restaurants. The bolognese is made in house and it's done the traditional way. All pasta is homemade. Very easy to find parking in downtown Winchester. I noticed the tables are thoroughly cleaned In-between meals. Open kitchen with bar space if you want to watch the chef cook. A must visit.

Jessie H.

Yelp
This restaurant is outstanding! Excellent fresh pasta dishes and delicious cocktails. Winchester is not in my general vicinity, but would love to go back at some point. Great staff and modern, rustic decor. Plus, a patio!

Benjamin H.

Yelp
My favorite spot in Winchester. Came here first, about the time that the new owner Joe, previously from Posto took over. Returned with my wife on New Year's Eve this year, and was welcomed warmly by his professional and joyful staff, some of whom even remembered us from the first time! The food is spot on, if you like modern Italian food with a dash of experimentation. Hearing the chef talk about some of his tweaks of classic recipes is a joy, and should be recommended as part of your first visit. A favorite dish is the burrata, which is fresh and tasty, combining the best parts of smooth mozzarella with the tang of balsamic. Truffle mushroom soup was a delicious, and innovative appetizer. Wish that we had gotten to try a couple of the seafood entrees, which had sold out that evening, but every time we go to the pasta is stellar. Stellar. It's made fresh on site, and is spot on. Five stars! No question. Will return!

Yelp
A rediscovered gem in Winchester. I had forgotten about A Tavola after my first visit but restaurant week reminded me there was a great restaurant just down the street. I made a reservation thinking, "I wonder what they're up to now-a-days?" Like some old friend I hadn't visit in some time. Well tonight I got to find out what they are up to. They've since brought in a new chief and coworker. Now I didn't but go there much before but tonight I was convinced I'd be coming back more frequently. The staff was very friendly and attentive but don't think that's a cover for the food. The food it self was fantastic. Easily, a favorite to come back to. See pics for mouth watering details. The lasting impression that A Tavola gave me cane from their Mela dessert. I couldn't foodie out hope they made whiskey gelato but i still enjoyed it all the same.

Susan L.

Yelp
Lovely little restaurant nestled along a main street through Winchester center. In spite of being on a main road, outdoor seating felt enclosed by flowering plants and concrete barriers, very separate from the road. Tables were picnic tables with umbrellas, so while not the most comfortable seating for an upscale meal, well-shaded. Wait staff personable and helpful. Excellent. Food was very good for all of us. We had, among us, the Burrata, Caesar Salad, and Roasted Eggplant, all appetizers rated highly, especially the Burrata. One of us had the Swordfish entree with chick pea puree, which was very good, and one of us had the Ragu Bolognese, with home made pasta. The pasta was delightfully al dente. The sauce was good, but ground meat in it was a little hard (overcooked). Homemade bread for the table was excellent, as were drinks. And Warm Chocolate Torta was exceptional! And one person was celebrating a birthday. The staff all signed a card, a nice touch and much better than singing the birthday song! A really nice experience.

Mandi L.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to have our rehearsal dinner at A Tavola and it was the best decision we ever made! We had the restaurant to ourselves with 30 of our closest friends and family, and it was the most wonderful experience. The overall space is so warm and inviting with the updates they recently made, and the staff was on top of everything! Our guests could not stop talking about the food all weekend! The catering menu had amazing options for us to choose from, including Marsala braised chicken, swordfish with polenta, and chef made my favorite dish, beet risotto!! We ended the night with freshly made cannolis. I cannot recommend A Tavola enough. Chef Joe, Rachel and the rest of the staff are amazing to their guests, and I can't wait to go back! Thank you for everything!

Liz T.

Yelp
Just so good, in fact I'm thinking I'll order some take-out for tonight. Everything is fresh, good portions and prices. I always get the meat and cheese, the antipasto and I'll nibble on it for 2 days.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Really disappointed - Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had. We ordered dinner last night for what we had planned to be a special dinner at home for our wedding anniversary. I got the Carbonara and it was awful! It smelled badly when I opened it and tasted worse. The pancetta tasted spoiled/rotten and that taste flavored the whole dish. I couldn't eat it, and ended up throwing it out after one bite. My husband got the sword fish - it was not fresh and smelled very fishy and was a mushy consistency. I did not like all the pickled items on my salad (personal preference as my husband liked that) and the dressing was mostly just balsamic vinegar. I really NEVER leave reviews .....but $80 dollars for this meal ?? ... At least I got beautiful flowers and a very nice card from my husband.

Kathy T.

Yelp
Been there twice in the last month, once with friends and once with 14 colleagues. In between went to bistro 5 for a celebration dinner and saw her vittorio who owns both restaurants. He recognized me at A Tavola, I reminded him when and where and said I had to bring my colleagues because I love his food so much. He sent out a complimentary charcuterie platter! So nice! A tavola is the more casual sister to Bistro 5, but shares the very tasty food--nice to have I. Winchester! The menu changes frequently but I love the bigoli pasta with wild mushrooms and the eggplant purée app. Charcuterie platter's generous . Some years ago they had more risotto, which I loved, but it hasn't been there for awhile now. Fun atmosphere, warm and welcoming space and staff.

Allison S.

Yelp
Where to start?! We had been meaning to go to this place for a while and finally got around to it, and I'm only sorry we didn't go sooner. We started off with the burrata with apples and a cider glaze and it was the perfect combination of sweet and creamy. The decadence of this appetizer could even be classified as a dessert to some. Then I got the ragu bolognese and my husband got the gnochi and both were delicious. Perfectly cooked pasta and perfectly seasoned! We ended the night with two desserts because we could not make a decision and everything on the dessert menu that we read made us salivate. We went with the dozen warm, soft chocolate chip cookies which is perfect if you want some leftovers and the sticky toffee pudding which had a coconut marscapone whipped cream that was to die for. They had a great selection of wines that were reasonably priced and we absolutely loved sitting at the bar overlooking the kitchen and talking to the chef throughout our meal. Highly recommend!!!

Kathy D.

Yelp
What can I say...Joe and his staff outdid themselves again! Joe did whatever he did to get us 3 seats at the bar for 7:30! From apps to dinner to dessert 10 out of 10! Tim's steak was huge and perfectly cooked. Emma's lobster pasta dish was loaded with every part of the lobster! My Osso Bucco was to die for! So huge I took half home for lunch today! Our waitress paired red wine perfectly to go with Tim's steak. Limoncello flights were sooo good. My vote is the Rhubarb! Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!! KD..very satisfied customer

Arthur S.

Yelp
Small place nice atmosphere and great food. We had the eggplant appetizer and the entree was the pan seared swordfish. Both were delicious. Our server Pam was friendly and took great care of us. Very happy would recommend.

Monica O.

Yelp
They have a lovely outdoor area. Service was great and meals delicious. Freshly made pasta and sourdough bread.

Sathasaurus T.

Yelp
This place was nice and cozy. Everything was delicious!! The funghi dish was one of my favorite. Pork loin was amazingggg! Would definitely recommend the apple pie for dessert if you have room! I couldn't finish it but it was soooooooo good!

An L.

Yelp
Excellent pasta, kids pasta and home made bread! Food is a la carte so you can personalize to your liking. Excellent seeing and staff, a beautiful kitchen opens into the eating area. Bigoli was good as was kids pasta.

Allison S.

Yelp
Echoing what others have written, it's average. We went in last night for the first time for dinner. It's small and quaint. The hostess and waitress were nice, but the overall experience was not worth the pricetag. -Service was incredibly slow. We waited a good 30 minutes between portions -The restaurant itself was unbearably hot. At one point I looked to see if I could open a window (I couldn't) because it was cooler outside (in August, mind you) than it was in the restaurant. -We got the calamari app. It tasted good, but was TINY. -My husband and I both ordered pasta dishes. His lamb carbonara pasta was bland, and my tagliatelli bolognese noodles were overcooked. Chewy and sticking together. -We ordered a chocolate torte for dessert. I believe it was $11 and came with a tablespoon's-worth of salted caramel ice cream. We both laughed when it came out. The plating & presentation was strange, and I think we each had two bites because of how small the torte actually was. Underwhelming! Maybe we'll give them a second try. Maybe not. :\

Ralph B.

Yelp
We have been here several times, either privately as a couple or through a business dinner, each time the meals are beyond excellent and fresh. No disappointments as you sometimes have at restaurants where the appetizers are great, but entrees are "ok", at A Tavola it is all excellent. Probably driven by a medium sized menu that allows all ingredients to be super fresh. And if there is something that's not on the menu, for example ensuring a dish is kosher (as much as possible), that's an option that gets catered on the fly. Service is on point as well, never have to wait for service and ambience is great. Place is intimate but still allows groups of 8 to have dinner (could probably be even 12) while each other table in the restaurant still can feel their own privacy. There are several seats with view on the kitchen, which are our personal favorites.

Joe A.

Yelp
Enjoyed our recent visit to A Tavola. Sat at the bar and had a great meal while the kitchen staff entertained us. Have had almost everything on the menu; it's all great. Nice to have a top flight restaurant in town.

Renee H.

Yelp
I enjoyed a delicious meal with my family this evening. This was my first visit to Atavola. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a friendly face and warm welcome. Once we were seated, we were immediately approached by the bartender who took our drink order. The bartender was friendly and conversational. We ordered the octopus and the beets for appetizers. For dinner, we ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, Ravioli (which my son wanted to lick the plate clean) Ragusa Bolognese and my mother-in-law had the Salmon which she found delectable. Expressing to the owner, Chef Carli, his food gave her an F.O (food orgasm) For dessert. We each had the By the Scoop enjoying the vanilla ice cream, salted caramel gelato as well as the lemon sorbet all served with a pizzelle. I love the open kitchen concept where the chefs engage with the customers. Over all, the amazing cuisine, ambiance and friendly atmosphere will have me return time and time again!

Jess H.

Yelp
We got takeout tonight on a whim and WOW - each and every dish blew us away, even when eating it a half hour after it was packed! Everything was perfectly seasoned and so well-prepared it's hard to pick a favorite: my partner really enjoyed the lamb and the carbonara was absolutely on point. I was worried that the eggplant would be too spicy, but the oil was packed separately so I could add just a touch for flavor. The cookies are exactly as my mom used to make, and we were too stuffed to try the antipasto and toffee pudding, so those will be treats for tomorrow. We'll definitely be back!

Kim C.

Yelp
Really disappointed! We ordered takeout for our anniversary dinner. I ordered the carbonara, the pancetta tasted rotten and spoiled the whole dish. It smelled horrible when I opened it, and tasted worst. I threw it out. My husband got the swordfish, very fishy and mushy. Even my side salad had to be thrown out- pickled items tasted terrible and the dressing was pure vinegar. 80 dollars for two awful dinners.

Ron T.

Yelp
We had dinner twice here in 2021 - the last time in August 2021. Each time the food has to be returned either because it was not cooked well or had no taste. We sat outside which was not great because the tables are in a busy street. The service was sub par. You don't inexperienced wait staff. When asked we were told that the chef/owner is new - not The owner of Bistro Five where we have always had great meals. Since August I have meet two other couples who had negative experiences at A Tavola. It used to be a good place although very crowded and noisy inside and overpriced but a good local place to go for an innovative interpretation of what many would call Italian. I would not recommend this restaurant for any reason and don't plan to return.

Phil O.

Yelp
Pretty average at best, not sure if it was because they were trying to pull a fast one on the atypical clientele during chaotic restaurant week or if they just consistently put out underwhelming grub. My entree was supposed to come with hazelnuts and came with raw almonds instead, which didn't blend well at all. In fact, it was terrible. And the rabbit was definitely overcooked. The cheese platter appetizer was terribly overpriced. The grilled calamari app was blatantly overcooked (the giveaway is when you can't easily cut it with a butter knife). The calamari portion was laughable as well. For a place that's just as uncomfortable as it is small, I'm expecting a somewhat positive experience. A Tavola fell well short. Jon Taffer would've been breaking plates in the kitchen.

John F.

Yelp
Our experiences at A Tavola were always fantastic. This review has long been overdue. Great food, cozy atmosphere, excellent wine selection. Great people !

Erin B.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend, so I made Valentine's Day dinner reservations for my husband and I. The staff quickly greeted and seated us. The tables were close but that's kind of expected for this type of restaurant. The food was amazing - best olive oil and best calamari I've ever had. However, they had one major downfall. Our server did not acknowledge my husband once throughout the dinner. His back was facing my husband while only asking me for my drink order (never asked my husband). When ordering dinner, I told my husband to go first, and our server didn't look at him and just said "ok" then went on to ask me for my order. The food was slow to come out, but they were clearly very busy. Our server never said a word to us about it but repeatedly apologized to the couple next to us and was explaining why they were so slow. After dinner, we even had to ask for our check after waiting for some time. We both felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome and couldn't help but think it was because my husband was the only Black patron in the restaurant. We had never experienced anything like that before. The food was delicious, everyone else was friendly and their service was on point. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return or recommend due to our treatment.

Frank P.

Yelp
Had the kind of meal tonight you hope becomes a regular on the menu. Grilled Rack of Pork Ribs in a Molasses Brine. Wow! Juicy, tender, delicious. As usual the staff made the dinner a joy. They always suggest the right wine pairing and Neal, our chef, took the time at a peak hour, to talk to us about the food. A+ again on date night. Grazzie.

Summer C.

Yelp
Was able to eat hear during Covid. Had a nice evening with their outdoor seating that they have makeshifted from parking spots in front of the building. The service was nice and food was good, I am picky about skin on my salmon so that was my only con. I also felt the price of a small glass of sparkling wine was overpriced. This place was definitely busy!

Mike M.

Yelp
Simple atmosphere, not very clean, the wooden tables had a sticky sheen on them. They were uneven when combined together, which made seating uncomfortable. I ordered a pasta dish with a meat sauce on it. My dish did not have much flavor to it. It was mediocre and overpriced. My wife had the sword fish with rice, which she liked. The waiters and waitresses were nice and attentive. Overall I felt this restaurant was overpriced. We could have gotten our meals for 2/3 rds of the price had we gone some where else

Yelp
Disappointing. Very limited menu -- the 4 entrees were heavy dishes for summer. Two pasta dishes we ordered were pretty bad -- a Bolognese Ragu and a Pesto dish. Bother were dry. The potatoes in the "vegetarian" Pesto dish was a fail combination and texture. They were out of asparagus even though it was on the menu and they didn't have cream for coffee. The desserts were ok. Overall not worth the price. Will not be returning.

Yelp
A brief story of my visit to chef/owner Joe Carli's exquisite and newly adopted A Tavola restaurant. I walked in and was greeted like family, not only by the chef himself but by more than one table of happy, fellow guests eager to share tips about the completely revamped menu. We sat at the bar, which provides an intimate encounter with the entire kitchen and a view into the meticulous preparations of food artistry practiced by chef Carli's team. We were served in a wine and food pairing experience unlike any other. The food was incredible, the kitchen staff sharing their stories and process as they cooked in front of us. Every dish was unique and the fascinating collection of dishes was crafted to perfection with clarity in their design. Old classics and clearly original creations gave the eater an exquisitely painted portrait of his carefully sourced ingredients, which were on display directly in view, with each having a story that the chef was excited to share The meal was incredible. The wine pairing excellent, and the company was the standout feature One of the guests remarked that it was funny to see so many people coming from Cambridge and Somerville to Winchester for fine dining. Nonetheless, I'll be making a habit of it

Yelp
Our absolute go to for an easy and always delicious dinner in town. Pasta is amazing, and the menu is constantly changing. Consistently great. Wine list is also different and special, service is friendly!

Yelp
Wonderful night at this restaurant with a great vibe!! We decided to stay local for our anniversary. Very happy with the casual atmosphere and friendly staff. We were treated to a glass of Prosecco and Happy anniversary wishes from Lindsey. Our starters were excellent a burrata with honey crisp apples with a cider glaze and rosemary. Roasted eggplant with garden herbs and goat cheese My wife had perfectly prepared swordfish with creamy roasted garlic polenta brussel sprouts and chili I enjoyed the Bucatini grilled escarole red onions anchovies with herbed breadcrumbs We shared the Torta a warm chocolate cake caramel gelato with salted caramel The only problem was we only ordered one. So I had to share. Schedule this place for your next night out Casual atmosphere with Great food. Enjoy!
