"An unusual bistro-style restaurant located in a small square close to the centre of the city. The chef at the helm creates dishes that have the distinct feel of his native Peru, combined with influences he has amassed on his travels around the globe. Here, you have the option of creating a tasting menu to your own design, based around dishes from the à la carte that can be adjusted in size and then priced accordingly. They say that “every dish is a journey”, hence the desire to explain the provenance of each one on the menu (Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Galicia, Basque Country etc)." - Michelin Inspector

The ambiance is relaxed yet refined, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors seeking a memorable culinary journey. The best experience ever in Santiago de Compostela ! Hands up to the three best chefs who runs this amazing restaurant: Tomas, Jose and Caes ! They are truly the best ! Highly recommend 5⭐️

This is a haute cuisine restaurant for still reasonable price. We had a 7 course menu and enjoyed every piece of it! Delitious combination of taste combining inspirations from Galicia, Peru and also other countries - we were delighted!

Loved the staff. Loved the food. Loved the experience. This restaurant is a pure taste explosion hard to be unforgettable. I will defo be back! I can consider it an still hidden gem in Spain, that offers an incredible dining experience, especially fitting for those who've just completed the Camino de Santiago. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting getting us ready for a culinary journey through Peruvian cuisine with Galician ingredients, while also “travelling” to other lands. The menu is more than cheap for the high quality offer of ingredients and presentation. The dishes are all prepared with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I didn’t drink much, but the Maracuja drink was impeccable! My favourite one didn’t disappointed me, the tinto fish course, but also the Vietnam trip with the mussels. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and add to the warm atmosphere, making you feel at home after your long journey. They are great and provide everything needed for a good experience. For pilgrims and travelers alike, A Viaxe offers not just a meal but a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended. You can’t miss this restaurant!!!

This restaurant was outstanding! This was my first meal In Spain and although it was Peruvian- I loved it. I couldn’t read the menu so I took the lovely waitress’s advice on what to eat. Not to spicy was the request and boy did they deliver! It was excellent. And they spoke English.
