A Viaxe

"An unusual bistro-style restaurant located in a small square close to the centre of the city. The chef at the helm creates dishes that have the distinct feel of his native Peru, combined with influences he has amassed on his travels around the globe. Here, you have the option of creating a tasting menu to your own design, based around dishes from the à la carte that can be adjusted in size and then priced accordingly. They say that “every dish is a journey”, hence the desire to explain the provenance of each one on the menu (Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Galicia, Basque Country etc)." - Michelin Inspector

A exquisite journey of the senses and tastes. What a fantastic place! The head chef with his Peruvian influences and the gallego local ingredients made for a truly inspiring evening. As a lover of both Peruvian and spanish food this was my dream and expectations were exceeded! Every dish was sublime but our absolute favourites were the seared tuna with tomato consommé and the razor clam ceviche, however every dish was a knockout it was difficult to choose! The night was made by our wonderful host Marcelo, whose explanations bought each plate to life in a way that was interesting without being pretentious. He was charming and funny, and a perfect addition to a fantastic meal. I will also mention the drinks pairing, we started with a delicious pisco sour, one of the best i’ve had, and some extraordinary reds and whites which perfectly complimented each course. These guys are doing something different and I highly recommend for anyone in Santiago! I hope to be back again soon!

Awesome restaurant where meals are truly a journey and joyful experience! All the dishes were super tasty! The menu is long, so this performance lasts 2+ hours :) My reservation with Google didn't work, but they allowed us in despite being fully booked and found a solution, I'm so grateful for that! Highly recommend this place especially after Camino!

The ambiance is relaxed yet refined, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors seeking a memorable culinary journey. The best experience ever in Santiago de Compostela ! Hands up to the three best chefs who runs this amazing restaurant: Tomas, Jose and Caes ! They are truly the best ! Highly recommend 5⭐️

What a great surprise! We booked this restaurant half an hour before coming and had an amazing dinner. The mix of South American and Galician food is incredibly good. The service is excellent. Not to be missed, highly recommended!

If I could give this experience above a 5 I would. This was one of the top 5 meals I’ve ever had. My daughter and I were seated at the kitchen area so we could see the 9 course meal being prepared. The staff cared about how everything tasted and looked and they took pride in their creations.

This is a haute cuisine restaurant for still reasonable price. We had a 7 course menu and enjoyed every piece of it! Delitious combination of taste combining inspirations from Galicia, Peru and also other countries - we were delighted!
