Here Are the Hottest New Restaurants in San Francisco, June 2024

"The Ferry Building is now home to Roman-style focaccia sandwiches and slices of pizza al taglio. A16, the Union Street restaurant that was listed as a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2022, opened its newest outpost in the former Cowgirl Creamery stall of the legendary marketplace in February 2024, bringing high-class panini and pantry goods to the building’s hallowed halls." - Dianne de Guzman, Lauren Saria

"A16 made its Ferry Building pop-up permanent as A16 La Pala, offering Roman-style pizza by the slice or whole pies, focaccia paninis, and pasta with beer and wine forthcoming pending a liquor license." - Lauren Saria

Restaurants and Bars to Try This Weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area: February 23 | Eater SF

"I'm looking forward to hitting up the newly opened A16 La Pala, a casual spinoff from the original A16 on Chestnut that debuted earlier this month at the Ferry Building; it serves thin, rectangular slices of pizza al taglio that can be ordered with toppings including roasted cherry tomatoes and fior di latte, escarole and anchovies, and fennel sausage and broccolini, and there’s also a list of paninos, all of which come on freshly baked focaccia — so the only question in my mind is how to pare down my order when I want to try it all." - Lauren Saria

Can You Get Booze Delivered During the Coronavirus Lockdown?  - Eater SF

"A16 has always been known for its award-winning list of Italian wines. The restaurant is currently walking its pillowy pizzas out for curbside pickup, and oh yes, you can get a bottle of vino with that." - Becky Duffett

Such a cute Italian spot inside the Ferry Building Marketplace! The service was wonderful — the guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the tuna panini and the lemon polenta cake. The panini was a little fishy for my taste but still really delicious, and the cake was moist and unlike any other cake I’ve had. The lemon slices on top added just the right amount of bitterness to balance the sweetness. Both items tasted authentic and homemade, which I really appreciate. Great spot for a quick lunch or to catch up with a friend over a bite!

Hello , my friends! I ordered Panini Ramini. It looks nice, taste is good . They add arugula with vinegar to my Panini. Good! I recommend, so you can order drip coffee .

Tried the Nutella Cornetto, the pastry itself is the fluffy kind and not crispy. Even though the Nutella amount is a lot but they are all concentrated to one portion of the pastry only and most part of it doesn’t have anything

Nice panini with a very good crunchy feel but the inside became cold on the second part. Overall great taste, recommend the campagnolo

The Nutella Cornetto was $6.52 with no tip. Pretty good, the Nutella needs to be spread through-out pastry better. Currently you only get Nutella in about 20% of the whole pastry but it's almost too thick in that area

Grabbed a quick healthy lunch. Food is delicious and Italian recipes are authentic. Price is honest considering how close to the city center is.

Nothing like the original A16. I have been to A16 a bunch of times but this place is nothing like the rest. The food looks like it came straight from a factory. Should not be charging people this high for such low food quality. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Their focaccia is to die for. So light and crispy after toasted. The combination of pesto, mozzarella and mushroom is delicious! Strongly recommend!
