"We wish we could walk into any convenience store and come out with a cob of Mexican street corn. La Tienda Mexicana El Oaxaque is a tiny bodega with hand-painted signs and a big rainbow umbrella that sells mostly groceries and dried grasshoppers, but they have a cart in the front where you can order elotes on a stick or in a cup. It’s $3, incredibly satisfying, and goes perfectly with a few slices of fresh mango topped with chile, which you can also get here." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Google
We stumbled upon this gem. Absolutely delicious street corn! Very friendly owner as well. We will be back!

Google
This little Mexican store is more expensive than other stores than I know, I give 2 stars is because went you get there the lady won’t say like oh hello welcome or can i help you. You don’t even know were the line is or were to pay,the owner needs another employee. 3 elotes 3 mangonada (raspado kind) 1 tostilocos =$40 bucks Other stores will be like $15

Google
This place started selling elotes out of the parking lot of MacPhersons produce stand. They opened this place many years ago and it is a great family run bodega with some standard fresh made options and some pantry items. When driving by, stop in, get an elotes, and soak in the sun on picnic bench out front.

Google
Great food made to order, go for the elote but eat everything else on the menu, too. Nice selection of shelf stable groceries and goods, didn't buy any perishables though...

Google
This store is so tiny but I was looking for masa mix for tamales and they had it.

Google
The hours are inaccurate. They close way earlier than 9pm. They didn't even have a number to call. At least get your hours in order with the false advertising.

Google
This is just for the amazing corn on the cob. Lots of seasoning options. The two times I was there the folks were quite nice.

I love this store

Yelp
The best place to grab snacks, but I religiously come back for mangonada and esquites. I have never been disappointed and the food always hits the spot. I don't even want to say anymore. Definitely worth supporting this family business and getting the best roasted corn in Seattle.

Yelp
It may not look like much from the outside, but inside lies deliciousness! We got the mangonada, the most refreshing snack along with the corn. Everything was delicious, with friendly customer service!

Kiem H.

Yelp
This is my second time coming here for mangoneadas and elotes and they were still as delicious as the first time I tried them. I've been referring this place to family and friends and will absolutely be returning here in the near future again and again. I've tried a mangoneada and elote from another place down the street from where I live and they pale in comparison with Abarrotes El Oaxaqueño.

Yelp
Elote, mangonada and did I say elote?? I thought nobody in the WA can beat the Roasted corn man, but after he told me his friend runs one near beacon hill, I used my trusty yelp app and found there was one right next to the VA which is a bonus!!! $3 a cup or cob and they have everything from takis chips, to grasshoppers!!!

Josh D.

Yelp
This place has dynamite elote. Definitely going back ASAP. So so soooo good :) Next time maaaaaybe I'll try something else. Or maybe I'll just get everything

Yelp
Great place for a variety of snacks such as candy, chips, and drinks also one of the best places in Seattle to get a mangonadas and esquite.

Yelp
A neighborhood treasure. It's as though I am visiting a bodega in a small town in Oaxaca. They are lovely people and the store is jammed packed with great stuff from Oaxaca and Guatemala.

Graham B.

Yelp
I came here back in March, and honest to God, I've never seen elotes in so many places than after this visit. This is the first place I'd ever heard of (and tried) elotes--living in the Midwest your whole life will do that. I'm a convert. It was positively delicious. This is the perfect street food snack. I only wish I wasn't back in Indiana so I could enjoy this again.

Karen M.

Yelp
Best place to get your antojitos mexicanos in Seattle! I recommend the esquite and the mangonada, they are very unique and well prepared for a great price.

Emily H.

Yelp
A bit hard to find but love the mangonada. Sweet refreshing and perfect for a summer's day!

Brian A.

Yelp
Just happened on this place form Yelp. All the reviews are right really good and quick good. I had 4 different tacos and all of them were delicious!

Tuyen T.

Yelp
They sell THE best elotes (Mexican corn) for $3.00 as of 7/19/17. They've increased the prices by $0.50, but that's totally understandable as prices for everything in Seattle as inflated. They have friendly customer service, and besides the elotes, I also recommend the mango con chile y limon. Yummy! Besides the snacks, this is a convenient store with lots of hispanic snacks and groceries.

Renee Miko W.

Yelp
I'm rating a 1 star because they no longer serve hot food. Only corn. I was looking forward to tacos. :-(

Michelle R.

Yelp
15steps from our AirBNB - we lucked out!! Elotes (roasted corn) were sooooo good!! Hot, tasty and just the right amount of everything! Loved it. Going back today.

Bobby C.

Yelp
Across the street from Macpherson fruit and produce. Roasted corn is awesome and cheap! Only $2.50. Make sure to have the owner spray some lime juice all over that tastey mofo. Will be back!
