We ordered munggo with gata - this is new to me, i never had gata in munggo and wow this blew me away with chef’s kiss. As for a poor man’s food, the taste is rich considering it’s a non meat dish, no bad after taste on the palette and it has soothing soupy feels nostalgic, taste like childhood like how my father used to cook mungo of course without the gata. And the crispy roasted pork, this is the perfect pair to munggo. Soft, meaty, melts in your mouth and crispy at the same time. Service and Atmosphere feels homey staff even recommended us to get a half order cuz we won’t be able to finish the single order and yes she’s correct. Overall experience is amazing and recommended. Well done Michelin for discovering this!

Abaseria Deli offers a truly comforting home-cooked experience in Cebu! The staff's warm hospitality made us feel right at home, with friendly service that's like being cared for by a loving mother. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cebuano-style Monggo with Gata - a first for me, and it was a delightful surprise! The dish was delicious and comforting. The Humba, a Cebu staple, was also a hit, with flavorful meat that fell apart easily. Highly recommended for a taste of home-cooked comfort in Cebu!

Im a regular of Abaseria for more than 10 years. This place is our comfort place for food, ambiance and feeling of Home. I usually bring friends to the place who eventually became regulars as well. Through the years the place also became our Associations refuge for Christmas Parties . I have known the staff and management who warmly welcomes us everytime. Their food is consistent since its the same staff who are preparing the food for years. The photos are compilations of my various visits to the place.

Ordered the eggplant, humba, and munggo. The flavors and quality were pretty good. Some parts of the humba were tougher than other parts and some of the skin of the eggplant were difficult to chew compared to other pieces. I found that it was a bit heavy handed on the oil for both of these dishes and would have preferred if it was less oily. Otherwise we enjoyed the food and found it worth visiting. Parking can be difficult so be prepared. Getting the bill and attention for servers was a bit difficult and could be better.

Definitely 10/10 this is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Cebu that you should try. The place feels very homey and the dishes are comforting – will definitely come back. I highly suggest you should book a reservation ahead

Food is just okay. The humba could be better. The bangus longganisa was flavorful. What made this place special is the service - they don’t look like professional hospitality staff but more of your friendly neighborhood manang or ate. They made us feel at home.

This place hits close to home for me 😍. Humba (one of my dad's fave dishes to cook), and munggo (one of my mom's limited alam na lutuin) with gata, perfect combination! If you're in Cebu, this is a place you absolutely have to visit!

We ordered the green salad with mustard dressing, carbonara, bacon breakfast plate and garlic shrimps. All the items we ordered were cooked and prepared well, but the quality was below what we expected: The bread served with bacon breakfast was the typical pullman loaf; we had to ask for the fresh fruit that was part of the same item also. The sunny side up egg was actually deep fried well done egg and the staff were the ones who suggested sunny side up. We also found an aluminium wire or a piece of aluminum that was clearly from a aluminium scrubber in the salad. Carbonara pasta is typical pinoy style but served with penne instead of fettuccine or linguine. The garlic shrimps were ok. Overall, the ambiance was cozy and homey, it was also comfortable and cool inside the shop even though it was sunny outside. I think we just ordered the wrong items from the menu that's why I didn't enjoy much of the food.
