The staff here were absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. I wish I could say the same about the food. Unfortunately, it was… a disaster. Everything was excessively greasy, and the pizza tasted oddly sweet, almost as if someone sprinkled sugar on top. It didn’t just miss the mark on authentic Italian flavors—it felt like a complete misrepresentation of Italian cuisine altogether. For a place claiming to serve Italian food, it somehow managed to strip away everything that makes it special. Friendly people, yes. Good Italian food? Not even close.

Excellent meal with the family. Our server, Michael, was very friendly and informative about all the specials and the regular dishes. He gave us plenty of time to decide on our orders and we were not rushed while eating and drinking. All the food was excellent, standouts included the calamari with a hot pepper jelly (not too spicy) and the meatballs with red sauce. The fresh pasta dishes were excellent and even the bread for the table was fresh and came with interesting butter options. Glad to have finally visited and we know we'll be back soon!

You have to go here! Truly authentic Italian food with incredible service.

The pepperoni pizza prepared in the wood-fire oven of this family-run restaurant is terrific as an appetizer to share. Also, as a main course, the pan-seered scallops in romesco sauce are delicious. The service is friendly and efficient, and the ambience is conducive to an enjoyable dinner with friends. UPDATE-1: This restaurant was originally named A Mano's Kitchen and Bar. After one of the principal owners left town, it assumed its current name and the scope of the menu was reduced somewhat. However, the same family continues to operate the establishment and maintains its tradition of serving high quality cuisine. We returned to celebrate a friend's birthday. I started with a Caesar salad. It had a crispy well-seasoned breadcrumb topping and a traditional dressing, although too little of it. For my main, I very much enjoyed the swordfish piccata. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, and I happily sopped the extra sauce on my plate with their excellent bread. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse. My wife ordered fried mushrooms with a tangy dipping sauce. It was one of the hits of the meal and she generously shared it with the table. Her main course was an order of meatballs with ricotta cheese and marinara sauce. She finished with four mini cannolis with crispy shells. One end was dipped in pistachio nuts and the other in mini chocolate chips which she found delicious.

We had an incredible dining experience! The food was outstanding, service was top-notch, and everything arrived promptly. The staff checked in on us frequently, and the owner even stopped by to treat us to homemade limoncello. The appetizer special was a delightful surprise, and the pasta dishes were absolutely delicious!

We went here for a date night before a show at the landmark and dinner was amazing! The service was the best we've ever had and our waitress Nicole was very attentive and sweet! Food was out quickly and was delicious. Dessert was also really good! Would definitely recommend coming here before a show or for a date night!

Dined here last night. When we walked in the atmosphere looked great and we were very excited. Once we were sat, we received our menus which were a little limited which surprised us. Later on in the evening we heard other customers order dishes that we hadn’t seen and specials that we weren’t informed about. We ordered the carbonara and NY strip. The carbonara was overly cheesy with very little flavor from the meat used. The NY strip we ordered also came out unevenly cooked, some slices being rare and some slices medium. Our dishes also took an hour to come out and we were waving our server down for our check for nearly 20 minutes. Overall very disappointed in the quality and the service we received.

Google
I really liked this place and it’s going to give pastabilities a run! A very cool atmosphere that has space to it. We started with a pizza for an appetizer and I thought I was in Italy. The calamari was perfect ( not chewy at all) and had this sweet jam kind of thing with a salty sauce that was outstanding. I had the Veal parmigiana which was huge! (Had to get a side of pasta since it didn’t come with it) The Bolognese was superb. The scallops were delicious and perfectly seared in brick oven. Erica our server was great. It was my first time BUT not my last

Yelp
We went back to see if our second visit would be as good as the first. Well, it was. The service was as good as our first time. Our waiter was a a riot and was very attentive. The ambiance was as nice. The details haven't changed from our first visit. Plenty of room and space for everyone. We started with the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta and focaccia. The board was the perfect size for 3 people. The quality of the meat and cheese was excellent. The star of this visit was the entree that my wife and I split. They had a 34 ounce bone-in ribeye steak. It came with some marvelous twice fried fingerling potatoes. We ordered some sautéed broccolini as a side. It was literally one of the best steaks I have ever had anywhere. Best of all, we had leftovers! If you haven't tried Abbiocco by a Mano yet, do so.

Yelp
Very loud restaurant. Was hard to hear the person I was sitting next to. The service was fast, but the menu is very small and most options you can't tell what it is without looking up Italian. Unfortunately, the food was the worst part. My Zozzona was hot, yes, but the sauce was incredibly acidic and there was barely any sausage. And for the meat that was there, it was in such small pieces that I couldn't tell whether it was sausage or bacon.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service. The charcuterie was top notch and seemed like it was fresh carved in the kitchen. The Chicken Milanese is a definitely a "go to" meal for me whenever I'm back in Syracuse.

Yelp
I had never went to A Mano, so I was extra excited to try Abbiocco. We went for a coworkers' going away dinner. They were accommodating with the time & large amount of people, but not as attentive and engaging as l had wished. Nonetheless, the happy hour wine deal $6 - woo! We started at the bar, watching the restaurant quickly become full. Was not a Thursday so we couldn't have the exclusive gnocchi, I opted for the "Ragu di Agnello," lamb, SO tender and flavorful with the mint - many got pizza, which looked amazing especially with the stone fire oven. An intimate date night to split some apps & dessert is necessary, as we got the bare minimum. I will absolutely try again!

Yelp
Met friends for a great dinner at Abbiocco. We started with the pear and rosemary martini and also tried the blood orange martini. Both were excellent and perfectly chilled. They have a good wine selection also. We tried the Trapanese wood fired pizza with almond pesto, provolone, basil and fresh mozzarella balls. It was cooked perfectly, crispy and delicious. We also tried the scallop special--roasted with fennel and carrot purée, with shaved carrots on top, so creative and flavorful. For dessert we tried the brown bread sesame pudding with brown butter cream sauce. It was perfect to share and the cream sauce made it to die for. Our server was fun and set just the right pace for the evening.

Yelp
Food was just ok - nothing horrible but nothing noteworthy either. Service and cocktails were good. Very expensive for a small dish of pasta and place has an awkward atmosphere. I would try again but not going to rush to do so.

Yelp
I was in town for business and was hungry but not starving so I wanted to grab something semi lite. I walked by this restaurant and it appeared like a comfortable spot. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a Pear & Thyme Martini from the drink menu. Between the bar tender flirting overtime with two young girls at the bar he asked for my order. The drink was good not great. The pear flavor was almost absent and the vodka was not smooth enough for the pairing. The honey thyme flavor was well balanced. I decided on two appetizers. The Caprese Burrata, and the Calamari with Lemon Aioli. The flavor was great in the Caprese salad. The tomato was flavorful, the burrata was fresh. The plate barely had any basil and was missing that flavor. The balsamic glaze was great. Overall it was the star of the meal. The calamari was okay. The calamari was slightly overcooked and chewy and had slightly too heavy breading. I didn't ease any seasoning or flavor on the calamari. But the lemon aioli and balsamic glaze was amazing. I mean you could put it on cardboard and it would be the best ever! As I got carry out, I was rather surprised that there was no napkins or cutlery included. Oops. Overall it was an okay experience. If I would have dined in I would have asked them to add more basil and replace the calamari.

Yelp
The experience during both of my visits has been nothing less than 5 star. The first for my birthday party and I and the family all had a wonderful time. Seating arrangement, food, service, ambiance all delightful. Second visit with a companion was superb---food was great, Nicki the waitress did a great job plus we had a fun visit from Joanne, an owner. I and my friend have eaten in great restaurants all over the U.S and the world and would highly recommend this restaurant to any of our friends. Bill W., Liverpool, NY

Yelp
I had a great experience here. It's a little hard to find as the entrance is off to the side as opposed to directly facing the street. The ambiance is a little difficult to describe. The tables are well spaced apart, the ceilings are high, the lighting is dark, but it still feels comfortable rather than trendy or upscale. The wait staff wears t-shirts and everyone was extremely friendly. Not as pretentious as some of its peers. The polpette are fabulous. Had the Cacio e Pepe which is definitely al dente (which I love) and was delicious. I felt it was far superior to LaLaLu's version which, while more showy (prepared tableside) was not as al dente, and was pricier. The Cacio e Pepe was hard to eat gracefully though, so not the best idea for a first date or if you're sitting at the bar. I had them bring out the polpette and the Cacio e Pepe at the same time which I'd recommend as the marinara sauce with the polpette contrasts well with the pasta sauce. I'll definitely come again!

Yelp
Food was perfect!! I got the Casio de Pepe, and my fiancé got the pork chop. Staff was so so lovely

Yelp
Started with fresh bread and Old Bay butter! Crazy good. Had the sweet potato tortellini for dinner it was absolutely amazing! The pasta is fresh, sauce is unique, and potato filling was light and fluffy. Rhubarb tart - fresh cream, delightful crumble and tangy rhubarb made an absolute perfect ending to a stellar meal.

Yelp
Talk about good food, service, and, ambience. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend we were visiting in Syracuse. We bellied up to the bar and were served by Mackenzie. He treated us with kindness and shared with us all of his favorites on the menu. This will definitely be a place we dine at when we are in town!

Yelp
I brought my friend for her birthday dinner earlier this week. We started with a Prosecco at the bar. Bar tender friendly. 615 reservations seated shortly after we chose the high top seating when booking reservations. No other patrons were seated in the area. We were delivered menus and water promptly we luckily still had our Prosecco's. No one checked on us for at least 25 minutes. Our glasses were empty and we were waiting on ordering drinks and appetizers. A waitress finally arrived she was very pleasant and listed specials. We ordered a pomegranate martini a pear and thyme martini, Arancini and a misticanza salad. Shortly after Focaccia was delivered with a blueberry butter. The blueberry butter was interesting twist, May have been appropriate with a brunch or charcuterie. Arancini was hot and delicious, best item we ordered. The misticanza salad never made its way to our table, just forgotten. My friend liked the Gnocchi served with sausage, small portion for the price and other Italian restaurants offer choices of meat or seafood. No seafood on the menu at all except for calamari, disappointing. The menu is very limited and doesn't have many of the meals I had viewed on apps when choosing location. I had the Bolognese which was awful. I'm not sure what the Mystery meat was, supposed to be veal, pork, and beef, I can't be sure what it actually was and the sauce was not any better than Prego. Even the left overs I brought home for my BF were thrown away still wondering about mystery meat he thought it tasted plant based. Once everything was served we were pretty much left unattended for long durations. A young man did bring us boxes. But we had to waive help down for an additional wine and to see dessert menu. I specifically noted this was for my friends birthday at reservation and dessert menu or suggestions were not even offered without asking. When we finally received the wine we ordered there was lipstick on the glass. The dessert menu has nothing without nuts, except for an Espresso ice cream. At this point it was just a flop of a choice for a celebratory dinner. The ambiance was nice, staff was pleasant but close to non existent service and meals were less than mediocre at best.

Yelp
So this is a tough one. This spot might actually be good but unfortunately we didn't experience anything too impressive on our first visit. We had 7:15 reservations for a Saturday night. My husband and I arrived early & were promptly seated. That sums up the best part of our dining experience. The back waiter provided water & we waited 10 minutes for our waiter to take our drink order. While we waited for our drinks we noticed a couple that was seated shortly after us had a very engaging waiter who delivered their drinks and appetizers in the time it took for us to get our drinks- a glass of wine and a bottled beer. The wait time seemed excessive but it gave us time to take in the restaurant and see what changes had been made since the previous restaurant. The vibe is casual with a laid back decor. Most of the tables were occupied and it has a homey feel that makes you feel like everyone knows each other. The wait staff attire is a mud brown t-shirt emblazoned with the restaurant name and jeans. It honestly doesn't matter much but some of the staff looked like they were on their way to paint a friends house complete with paint rag hanging out of their pocket. Their attire does not match the vibe of the decor or the menu. The menu screams I'm fancy, the decor speaks of a "cool" vibe and the staff attire screams joes deli. But again, it's not that important, I'm just pointing out some inconsistencies, no biggie. When delivering our drinks the waiter said the delay was because he has to get the seeded bread for our bread basket and it's far away. Ummm ok While our waiter was fluent in providing insight on the menu, it was hard not to be distracted by his overly amped demeanor. He must drink a lot of caffeinated coffee on his breaks. Outside of that we mostly saw him from afar after he took our order. He's also a no name waiter because he never introduced himself. ‍ We ordered calamari for an appetizer. For dinner a salad of baby greens and fennel with a honey vinaigrette served with a crostini. My husband ordered spaghetti with an oil and butter sauce with breadcrumb topping and a side order of meatballs. The menu has a nice Italian name for these dishes but I'm basically telling you what was on our plates. Our dinner were dropped in a hurried fashion, but the waiter took time to grab the neck of my husbands beer bottle and asked if he wanted another. Upon hearing yes, he scurried away without so much as looking in my direction to see or ask if I wanted a drink. He dropped off the beer, again without asking if I would like a drink or if we needed anything, fresh pepper, Parmesan cheese, nothing. It was a drive by beverage drop. You can tell he's an experienced waiter so I was surprised at the lack of eye contact and i his inability to read the table. So onto the food. The calamari was quite good. It was an average size portion of small rings that were seasoned perfectly with a very light batter. The salad was plentiful and the dressing very complimentary where it didn't or over power the salad. It was served with a piece of crostini that was hard enough to be a weapon and damage a tooth. . While the meatballs appeared to be burnt my husband said they were ok. The red sauce has a slight sweetness to it but was good. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was ok, nothing special. As our waiter hurried by our table my husband flagged him down to ask for to go boxes and the check. About 5-10 minutes later a back waiter came by and asked if we'd like to go boxes and quickly accommodated us. Shortly after our waiter dropped off our check without noticing or acknowledging that he'd forgotten our to go boxes. He also did not engage to ask how are meal was or even a "thanks for coming, hope to see you again." A different waiter stopped by to take our payment. I would say the back waiter gave us more personable experience and I was hoping to give her the gratuity directly rather than to our server. If I were to base our experience on the service it was terrible, with 2 stars being generous. If I were to base it on the food I would give it 2.5, because the meal was just "ok". There was nothing special about it. It was average at best. However I won't write this restaurant off completely. We saw other tables receiving prompt service and had engaging waiters. The menu is somewhat limited so it's possible we ordered the wrong dish. The restaurant was fairly full so I have to imagine they are doing something right. If we visit again hopefully we'll get an opportunity to have a better experience. And next time we'll go for the wood fired pizza, I have a feeling that may be the winner here. That and a different waiter.

Yelp
A Mano Kitchen and Bar was a conflicting experience of, that's incredible to, that's made really well but I've had better. I'll make this clear there was nothing bad, not remotely, maybe it was the hype or the prices on the traditional menu that was swaying our opinions. We went for dining week, which is amazing that they participate in because it gave us an opportunity to try so much we otherwise would be hesitant to because of total cost. A Mano itself is really beautiful inside, a great spacious layout with unique designs. Music is playing loud enough to hear, quiet enough to easily converse with your table. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and did his job well. I was impressed that after every course they cleaned everything up and gave us new silverware. For drinks a wide variety of choices of cocktails, wines and beers. Everyone who had a drink enjoyed them. The food, this where mixed positive reviews start coming in and I'll go course by course. The complimentary bread, very soft and fresh, the butter with it was different than a traditional butter, but not our favorite. I used the delicious bread to soak up the sauce from my appetizer. I had the Polpette and this was hands down the best restaurant meatballs I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and the flavor of the sauce left me wanting more. The Caesar salads were very fresh and well made. Someone order the special goat cheese appetizer and they adored it. The main dishes. I had the Gnocchi stuffed with Ricotta and they were cooked perfectly, they nailed the texture. I was underwhelmed by the flavor profile of the sauce they were in. Making it a simply enjoyable main. My wife had the strip steak and again they cooked it to perfection, underwhelmed by any flavor. It needed more of a favor punch to put it over the top. The twice baked potatoes that came with it were very good. Those that ordered the Cavatelli were in love with it. I got to try some and again cooked to perfection! This time with the sauce having flavor that makes you go wow with each bite! Someone also ordered the pepperoni pizza and they said it was good, it's pizza. The desserts, the deconstructed cannoli with orange ricotta and the lava cake. Both were very nice. We weren't a fan of the orange flavor but you can't knock it for accuracy, it was well executed and a fun take on the traditional version. The lava cake was very good and they used peanut butter in it which was a preferred twist on the traditional. Overall A Mano is easy to recommend, everything was good to great. I want to give it another try to have the opportunity to be fully blown away. I do encourage you to check the menu for pricing and to reserve a table as it's very popular and will easily fill up. Enjoy!!

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Abbiocco on Warren Street in downtown Syracuse. They just rebranded, but we had been to the former restaurant. Our server, Michael, was great. Great personality and explained the items on the menu. We started with calamari. We both had different homemade pasta dishes, a bread pudding which is the best we have had since London and after dinner drinks. It was an awesome dinner, everything was delicious, service and great company.

Yelp
Here for a retirement party for the first time and it was a great experience! The cocktails were delicious. Squid Ink Sorpresine was my main dish and it was different. Not bad, just unique. I didn't realize it would have a kick of heat though (a bit more than my liking). For dessert I tried their special which was a spin on an espresso ice cream cake. This was divine!! Our server was attentive and sweet. Would love to come back for cocktails again soon.

Yelp
This is probably the best contemporary Italian in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I got the Bolognese, and it was excellent. They have a nice big bar area, which was packed and the restaurant was busy. Nice atmosphere some good Italian food options.

Yelp
Definitely a quality authentic Italian spot in Syracuse. We started off with a few cocktails and a garlic-goat cheese dip. I opted for a wood fire pizza. I asked them to drizzle balsamic on the arugula/Prosciutto pizza as it needed that finishing touch. The pizza was very good overall and cooked perfectly. My friend had the riggies which were very good although for sure Al dente. My other friend had the strip steak that was delicious. They do offer a couple daily specials. The atmosphere isn't anything to gloat about. Our waiter was very friendly. I do appreciate that you get bread and they box up your food for you.

Yelp
By far my new favorite restaurant in Syracuse. We came here on a Thursday evening for dinner and the bar area and restaurant was decently crowded. We started with the fresh bread and the goat cheese special appetizer which was flavorful and delicious. The bread is definitely home made as it was crispy yet soft. For our mains, my friends got the chicken riggies, NY strip steak, prosciutto and arugula pizza. They all loved their dishes and I tried a bite of each, which I agree were all delicious. The streak was my favorite, it was cooked perfectly. I got the Caesar salad and assorted meats plate. The Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had. I loved the dirty martini, the server even brought extra olive juice. Overall, this is a 5/5 restaurant, service was great, food was fresh and however a bit more expensive; the quality of food, atmosphere and service is worth the price. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Tried a mano for the first time for a special occasion last week and it was excellent! The food and drinks were delicious. My fiancé and I each got an entree and we split the meatballs as an appetizer. The bread and butter they brought out was unique and tasty. Service was also very good. The food was pricier than your average Syracuse restaurant but worth it. I'd say the average pasta dish was around $25, very similar to other upscale Italian restaurants in the area. If your looking for something a little cheaper they also have pizzas that look delicious. We will definitely add this to our list of places to go for special occasions!

Yelp
This was our first time in A Mano and it won't be our last! We went on a weekday for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. It did take sometime for a server to show up at our table but it was seamless from then on. We started with some drinks- Pumpkin Spice Chai cocktail with vodka and sangria. Both the drinks were delicious! We had to ask for bread and glad we did. They had a housemade grape focaccia with some smokey chili dip. Yum! We got the classic calamari appetizer which had long hot peppers on it which elevated the dish. For mains we had their meatball pizza and cavatelli pasta in a hot peanuty sauce. The pizza had a crispy thin base and was cooked to perfection with generous toppings. The pasta sauce was unique and new to me and I really enjoyed it! Our server made great recommendations and was polite and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying other stuff on their menu.

K W.

Yelp
The food and service is terrific. It's rather expensive but worth it. Our server, Michael, was great. The ambiance isn't as nice as the food is delicious.

Yelp
Nom! Loved A Mano! Went there for dinner before watching Hamilton- drinks and specials are fab. The restaurant def has a date night vibe, perfect for a dinner and a movie/ show kinda night. Got the Octopus Alla Pizzailola as appetizer, was delicious. Their dinner entrees are delectable as well. Highly recommend to make reservation WAY in advance

Lizzy Y.

Yelp
We got the ceaser salad which was perfect. Prosciutto and arugula pizza. The Zeppoli or olive oil cake for dessert are always 12/10. This place is always on- I recommend it to everyone from out of town.

Mary D.

Yelp
I rarely go downtown and generally try to avoid it, but heard Abbiocco was worth the trip -- and it most certainly was. The ambiance, the service, the food, and drinks were all incredible. Think classic Italian flavors done really, really well. Everything from the fresh bread served with housemade butter to apps (best arancini I've ever had) to desserts (we had the Zeppole and apple fritters) was perfection. Highly highly recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic Italian and wants a superb dining experience. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
I had the pork chop it was the most amazing pork ever. I wanted to order another one for take out but the kitchen is close.

Yelp
Based on the food and service this place is 5 stars all day long! Delicious, well portioned food with great flavor and high quality. Attentive service and staff! Highly recommended in the summer, spring and fall. The only downside was the frigid temperature we had to consume the delicious Italian food in. It was frigid - my fiancé needed to wear her Canadian Goose Jacket for the entire meal, after telling our waitress how cold it was and if we could move she said 'it's very cold everywhere, I'm sorry!' When it comes to the Rib Eye, it was a perfectly cooked steak with delicious flavor. This is the best Steak I've consumed in Syracuse. The twice fried potatoes were crispy and creamy all in one. The calamari had amazing flavor, lightly breaded and extremely fresh and tasty! We will certainly be back but not on a cold Syracuse Winter night.

Yelp
4.5 stars? For real? People in cuse be TRIPPIN over this one. I swear people are impressed by anything with a decent ambiance and an espresso martini on the menu. You want Italian food? This would be my 10th choice in the area. A Mano is one of those places I'd eat if other Italian options weren't available for the night. It would never be my first choice because frankly, the food is decent but nothing special. A huge factor when determining my rating for a restaurant: is the food worth the PRICE? A Mano? Absolutely not. They are charging high end prices for sub par food. I'm not saying their food is bad But what I'm saying is you could get the same quality if not even a little better for way less money at countless family owned restaurants in the area. Their calamari? Good but boring. Expensive. Burrata? Good but boring. Expensive. Carpaccio? This was a miss for me. Expensive. Their pasta. Also a miss. Satisfying. It didn't taste BAD. But it just missed. I'd rather go to a more family style Italian restaurant for the food that they are serving. If you want to do something a little more intuitive w the menu, you better execute it perfectly because the competitors downtown such as Francesca's and pastabilities absolutely crush this place. Before you yell "OMG FRANCESCAS AND PASTABILITIES YOU ARE SO BASIC." Eating at a Mano is just as basic and the food isn't as good. Ok now for some positivity. The ambiance is nice. You can't beat it. Very classy, modern, dark romantic vibes. Perfect for date night. I'd go for drinks and an app maybe. Their pizza is also pretty good. But again, I can think of a few other options I'd prefer as far as fancy pizza goes. Service is always great as well. I just wish the food was better.

Yelp
My party of 8 made reservations for Dining Week. I had never partaken in dining week, and when I was told we could try A Mano, it had been on my list as a place to try but always hesitated at the price. When 2 of us arrived early, we were allowed to sit at our table. The place itself was beautiful. We ordered the triple charcuterie board for the table and the carapaccio. Both were delicious. I was very underwhelmed by the "local veggies" part of the board, I paid extra but only got... Caesar celery? Roasted beets and pickled mushrooms? C'mon. The board was beautiful and everyone walking in to join our table loved it. The blueberry jam that was housemade on it was a favorite. A lot of different things were ordered over the course of the next few hours. The calamari appetizer was as good as everyone said it would be. Honestly. Crisp and so much flavor, and not tough. The cavatelli pasta dish I got for dining week was so good! The orange whipped ricotta with the dessert was delicious. The bread that came with the table was... Kind of weird because it was cold, not just room temp, but cold, and it made the focaccia feel like cold french toast for some reason. The server was pretty good, but took a while to get some drinks and refill our water and take our orders and get us our checks .... That being said there was a group of people occupying the back space and blocking the bathrooms. When I said excuse me to every person in the way, they would move more into my way as I tried to travel down the entirely too long pathway to the bathrooms. People were just rude last night, I don't get it. Our group seemed to enjoy the experience overall, but the price was an eyeopener. Glad we went for dining week. I would maybe go back for lunch to have those calamari rings!! Or for once in a while date night.

Yelp
Last year, I stopped in for dining week, and was wowed. Ever since then I have slowly been frequenting A Mano. Their brick oven bakes more than just their amazing pizza. I'm a huge fan of brick oven Neapolitan pizza, so this place works for me. I tagged a photo of their Scampi Toast. The flavor of that dish is beyond on point. The toast was crispy, and sucked up every flavorful bit of the wine sauce. It's an appetizer, but you should get two and have your own plate all to yourself. My go to dish is the Spaghetti. It's corn and creme sauce that I crave out of the blue. The mix drink list is great too. I had a blueberry gin drink that I loved that particular evening. Also, one time I pulled a little prank. Their request off book is on the way to the bathroom. So I made sure the coast was clear and I requested off my birthday haha.

Yelp
Tried A Mano out for a date night a few weekends ago. Can get busy so highly suggest calling for reservations or using open table. The restaurant is nice inside, big open space. The service wasn't bad. We had a few cocktails, there were very good but pricey at about $12 each. We got the Cheese and meat platter that we enjoyed. There was complementary bread that was good and these very tasty meatballs that also came out with the bread (you only get one per person, they were so good we wish we could have had more!). For diner my husband got the Tortellini that he said was good and I got the chicken riggies, they are not your average riggies but they were tasty. We didn't get dessert. For 4 drinks, app, and two entrees the total with tip came to about $140. Overall this place is a nice spot for a date night. They have a nice pizza oven and I bet the pizza is good.

Yelp
THE CHICKEN SAUSAGE CONTAINS PORK!!! If you don't eat pork do not order the chicken sausage as it contains chicken and pork. They do not advertise this and I was informed about this on my last visit here. Very annoying. Poor menu design that's so easy to fix. Hopefully they will improve it.

Yelp
Had one of the best meals I've had in Syracuse here. Loved the food, the staff and the location.

Yelp
Went to lunch with friends at this restaurant for the first time Most of the Staff are friendly and helpful, place is clean and comfortable Food was very delicious, definitely coming back Two of us had pasta dishes, definitely tell it was fresh / made right there at the restaurant I had spaghetti with clams, sauce was delicious and had both chopped clams in the sauce and They also put five small clams on the side - delicious - I can always tell farmed clams from the wild ones (Not a speck of sand in the farmed ones) Other friend had a hoagie sandwich which she said was delicious and another had a pepperoni pizza which she very much enjoyed Now the bad news; the waitress was very unpleasant; she gave us dirty looks when we asked her for anything; when she started to take our order my phone rang, as soon as I looked at it (it was my kids school BTW) she ran off saying "I'll come back when your off the phone" I don't know why she didn't simply take everyone else's order first. She didn't return for 10 minutes (I was only on the phone for 20 seconds BTW) if we do return we will make it a point to try a different server, although my friends will probably feel it's not worth it

Yelp
Our first time at Amano was an all around incredible experience! Wait staff was attentive and kind, the complimentary bread was addicting (especially the homemade "cheese crackers") the homemade pizzas were out of this world. The mushroom parpadelle dish was excellent, and a very generous portion. Oh, and the cocktails were on point--full of flavor and a good bang for your buck, not watered down at all with juice and ice. I honestly can't believe we haven't been here before, & we will be back asap!

Yelp
All I can say is WOW. This place was great! The ambience is a nice modern look and very comfortable. Our server, Peter was great and very knowledgeable. He started us off with bread, a couple slices from Dilauros bakery which was sweet and delicious, an in house made focaccia bread which was delicious, and in house made cheese crackers which taste a lot like cheezits. The bread paired wonderfully with an in house made smoked roasted rosemary butter which was AMAZING! After the bread we decided to order the special appetizer which was fried fresh mozzarella with the in house made marinara sauce as well as the meatballs. They were both delicious but the meatballs were the star of the evening. The meatballs melt in your mouth and have a slight hint of heat but not enough to say they're spicy, underneath the sauce is a bit of mascarpone or ricotta (I'm not sure which one and I forgot to ask) to neutralize any acid or heat. For dinner I had the pappardelle with bolognese sauce, it was delicious. My daughter had just a regular spaghetti with marinara, and my friend had the chicken Milanese allá antipasto. Overall, I can say if you're looking for a nice authentic Italian meal with homemade fresh ingredients, a nice drink menu, and a warm atmosphere check this place out. I know I will be back!

Yelp
By far some of the best Italian food in Syracuse. You walk in and feel like a member of the family. The menu is carefully developed, offering unique dishes you won't find anywhere else. The service staff are also top notch, they know the place like the back of their hand.

Yelp
Amazing service, the staff were so thoughtful and kind. Food was bursting with flavor, fresh & homemade!! More upscale than average, the bigger dishes are a little pricey but totally worth it. This place is honestly a hidden gem in my opinion, I wish I knew about it earlier.Bread Basket

Yelp
The food was amazing! The calamari was best I've ever had and the pumpkin capparelli brought me right back to Florence Italy!

Yelp
I've been here for dinner and loved it, so I was so excited to come for brunch and it didn't disappoint. We had a salad, breakfast poutine, biscuits, and then the kitchen sent us surprise homemade pop tarts! For two people! But I would order it all again.... all so yummy. We went the first or second week they began doing brunch again (post quarantine) and there were open tables, but I know it gets pretty busy so call first!

Yelp
Love the limited menu. Foods always decent. Dining areas are ok for the most part. Great bar area. A bit pricey for Syracuse but not outrageous. Service has always been good.

Yelp
Omg this is a hidden gem. Went on a Sunday for brunch and ordered the biscuits and got a surprise homemade pop tart with it. Shared the Cobb salad and loaded home fries with a friend. Everything was good and our waitress was awesome. When they brought the check they brought two homemade chocolate chip cookies with it which was such a nice touch; though I was soooo full from all the good food. Can't wait to go back and try their dinners.

Yelp
I visited A Mano this evening for a couple workers retirement dinner. What a wonderful establishment. It's an Italian restaurant with great tatsing wine, beer, and delicious food. The menu choices are not too many, and it contained my favorites: chicken riggies (made different than the traditional Utica style, and greens). I ordered the Poppyseed lemon cake with blueberry I've cream; wow, it absolutely rocked! The restaurant is nicely decorated and has old fixtures and exposed brick. The noise level is fine, Not overbearing at all. You can hold a conversation without having to ty all loud. The service is too notch. I am looking forward to returning to share some Woodforest pizza and a bottle of wine with my beautiful wife sooner rather than later. A Mano is a great I returned to A Mano again. This time with my wife on February 15, 2019. I maintain my rating. This is a great place. It's just the right atmosphere for friends to get together and have a good time. We ordered the Utica Greens for an appetizer. I ordered the pepperoni pizza; the pepperoni had a slight hint of honey flavor which added a perfect touch to an already good wood fired personal size pizza. I think my wife ordered a half portion of a spinach item that she loved. Unlike many restaurants, half portions can be ordered if you plan on eating desert, which we did. Dessert was peanut butter lava cake and pastachat (not sure of spelling) with a chocolate pudding filling. It was good, not great. Nothing beats peanut butter, right? Please visit A Mano, you, your spouse and friends will have a great time.

Yelp
We were very excited to learn this place had fresh pasta! I've been told for so long how good fresh pasta is. So we were super excited to try A Mano. It is really clean and beautiful inside. But the chairs felt a bit cheap and wobbly, and our friends who we were surprised to see said the same thing. The service was excellent. We had a gentleman who was super attentive and nice. The food however was just so disappointing. I tried the pistachio pesto pasta. My husband had the special with pasta and "wild boar" I think? My pasta tasted like straight dough. Idk if fresh pasta is supposed to taste like that, but ew. The sauce was so gosh darn bland and dry. I could not tell you one flavor I tasted in that dish. This was the same with my salad. Barely any parm or fennel in the salad, just a huge mound of lettuce with a bland vinaigrette. Oh, and my pasta was $18. Yeah.....a little insane considering how bad it was. My husband had a special dish. It just looked like large flat noodles with pulled pork. It was very watery and looked like it was slopped together. Did not taste good at all. We left unsatisfied and did not finish our dinners. $75 bill for 2 pastas, 1 salad, and 2 glasses of wine. I can do so much better cooking at home with that kinda money. Will not be returning here.

Yelp
This by far my favorite Italian restaurant in Syracuse NY. Beautiful setting and most often great knowledgeable and personable service staff. I did have one out of three not so great experience with a waiter. He literally just ran away in the middle of talking with our table as we were seated outside. Said after returning about 15 minutes later he had to greet another table. Weird. As for the food... I have not had a bad bite even once. The plates are also very appealingly presented. Last time had there special strawberry salad and squid ink pasta. Both were spectacular and I could have licked the pasta plate it was so well done. My advice is go if you like upscale Italian food and atmosphere.

Yelp
Late posting this. But, worth still doing it as this food was memorable and amazing. Chicken Riggie. Wow. The pasta was perfect. Best I've had. Salad was full of flavor and I've tried to make it at home since leaving. This is the one place In Syracuse that I feel I need to go back to and I ate out a lot.
