Stopped in for an iced long black today. I would have given 5 stars but they didn't have any vanilla only caramel. The coffee itself was good, rich, full flavoured. I normally get a large but glad I went with the small. Service was efficient and friendly. There was no wait, and there was lunch items available aswell as pastries. Was nice to sit and watch the people go by.

I got the almond croissant and an oat milk latte. Would have preferred the croissant heated and more fresh. It might have been on display for a while. Coffee was ok. Stayed here to work for a while and it had a nice atmosphere.

Google
We ordered two coffees and they tasted good, but there was little difference between the flat white and latte. The almond croissant was quite average. It was a light croissant, decent in size and had a good rise, but it wasn’t very buttery. It was flakey but I found the flakes didn’t hold well and sort of crumbled / became “powdery” when bitten into. Frangipane was a custardy texture but didn’t have enough almond flavour for our liking.

Google
Great coffee and breakfast. However, if you are bald and or approaching baldness and order food here - check the receipt. I was referred to on the receipt as “hh” (hairless head) and then eventually “bald suit”, before I decided not to return. It’s not that I’m offended, it’s the silliness of it by the cafe. With other great options in the area whom are able to manage without providing customer descriptions, I won’t be back.

Google
Was expecting the croissant it to be very flaky but it had slight chewy texture….mind you I bought it and took it home to eat. May have been different if eaten there straight away. It was definitely airy. What was a nice surprise but hardly mentioned, their sausage rolls variety available- yummy

Google
Came here 2 days in a row during our stay as the croissants were that good, almond croissant of my dreams. Highly recommend for coffee too

Google
Delicious sandwiches, recommend the pulled pork and the panko chicken, also recommend getting a side serve of roast vegetables. Really good coffee too, and friendly service. Nice setting.Ticks all the boxes.

Google
dropped by today for a pastry as its rated as good... disappointed and over rated. My cinnamon 'jovi' was average to say the least and $9:50!! its a bun! Lacking in flavour, dry inside albiet kinda soft, icing hard and just fell off when breaking to eat to no extra flavour there either . Not a good cinnamon bun at all. Didnt bother finishing it - waste of$9:50 which is outrageous amount. Dont bother.

Yelp
Finally finally finally I got to come here!! Pastry heaven in all its glory, I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The place smells incredible as soon as you walk in. The sweet danishes and pastries on the counter will break every bit of willpower you thought you had. I came to try the famous Danwich. Yes, danish sandwich. I got the Danish Harlett which was guacamole, maple bacon, soft boiled egg and dukkah all sat atop a high puffy pastry. It's quite a rich start to the day but everything about it is delicious. The soft boiled egg is perfectly cooked, the egg yolk is so creamy it's almost sinful. Can I just say as well that I looooove the way they name their pastries. So clever. PS: We may have bought some more "for the road".

Yelp
Abbots & Kinney are by no means new to Adelaide - they have been popping up all over the place for a while now. Their most regular haunts have probably been in Leigh St in the CBD and in the Unley Metro shopping centre. But rejoice! Because now they have their own home on Pirie St. These guys are the absolute pros of pastry. Their almond croissant has got to be the best I have ever had in Adelaide. They're constantly coming up with new sweet and savoury options that intrigue and delight with their names alone (such as 'silly sausage' and 'mark prosciutto')! There are healthyish options - 'danwiches', soups, pasties & toasties - but you can also get your fill of delicious and decadent sweets. Think donuts injected with jam and custard, croissants, danishes and sfogliatelle warm out of the oven. I'm getting hungry just writing this! The coffee is good and the staff are friendly. I was wearing my work name badge as I ordered, and when my coffee was brought to me and when I left I was thanked by name, which always makes me feel welcomed. The fit out of this place is simple but attractive, and I think this is important because it is really what they are making that should be doing the showing off! I'm looking forward to visiting these guys again and seeing what else they have to offer my rumbling tummy!

Yelp
Heard so much good stuff about this place, they really have earned their stripes with their awesome menu. It's almost impossible to decide what to have! Their pastries are well-known around adelaide but their dishes are truely superb. I ordered the pork belly with steamed bun from the brunch menu and would 10/10 recommend everyone go on a Saturday just to check out the whole brunch menu. In a world where every place is doing pork belly or pulled pork, these guys truely stand out from the crowd. The seating arrangement is pretty odd, but somehow works well in the quirky cosy little space. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Yelp
I have died and gone to pastry heaven and it's pretty goddarn delicious. For all of your savoury and sweet pastry needs; go no further. They also can caffeinate you in a highly satisfactory method. Another beautiful space with a little bit of outdoor table space and an interesting bi-level seating space inside. If you're a savoury person like me make sure you try the barry croquer: savoury croissant, bechamel, ham and cheese. It also comes with the most amazing side salad. Also, the sausage rolls are unshareworthy. You will need one each. On the sweet side, you really can't go wrong however their almond croissant or their choc and raspberry croissant has winner written all over it. Great coffee stop. They use some seriously creamy, delicious milk. I go a double shot latte but a little espresso is pretty good too.

Yelp
Tasty Pastry. Not your average suburban bakery. This place doesn't have a great variety each day but the quality is great. The savouries have plenty of filling and a lovely thin (buttery) pastry crust. The sweet ones all look light and delicious. I had the day's sausage roll. (pork, pancetta, apple and fennel) MMMM so damn tasty, served with a great tasting salad on the side. Well worth a visit for sure.

Yelp
Woooooah, I'm in love!! I have tried Abbots & Kinney when they used to be From Scratch, so was very excited to see their store open up near my work ;) I had an absolutely amazing 'danwich' for lunch (ie cross between a danish and a sandwich) with chorizo, soft boiled egg, baked beans and cherry tomatoes, served with a delicious salad - mmmmm! The coffee was delicious too (pretty sure they use Bonsoy). This place is pretty busy, so you'll need to be quick to nab a seat ... but I assure you, it's totally worth it ;)

Yelp
These guys know pastry! They have a small selection of hot breakfasts, lunches and danishes available. There are some good vegetarian options, I recommend the sautéed mushroom Danwich. The inside is a bit sparse with shared seating, but you can always take away.

Yelp
I found these guys on instagram and found their pastries very interesting. It wasn't till a month later I realised they are in Adelaide, not America like I assumed. I was excited and couldn't wait till my next visit. First stop when I arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful, guiding me through every variation of danish and croissant. I chose the raspberry and choc pastry. It was amazing. Wow. Great texture, great flavour in the pastry, fantastic custard texture and flavour. I went back 4 times during my week visit. That good!

Yelp
Stopped by the Croydon cafe on the weekend for a raspberry chocolate pastry and a coffee. I hadn't eaten anything from here in years. What happened to the pastry at this place? It used to be beautiful, light and airy with a crispy caramelised shell giving way to whatever culinary delight was nestled inside. This time, despite appearing the same, it seemed kind of deflated and compressed, quite tough to chew or tear through to the filling, of which there was way too much, overwhelming my appetite - I couldn't finish it. The coffee was lovely though, and they've got a neat in-and-out setup to address social distancing restrictions. Just sad to see it's not the same as it used to be.

Yelp
Most likely a stone's throw from your office (certainly from mine) Abbott's has arguably one of the best cafe designs in Adelaide (and awards to prove it) and some of the best 'snackables' too. You know when you're not sure what to eat for breakfast? That's called a Danwich and you'll only find that at Abbot's and Kinney. Great lunches too, pooch friendly, and they serve pickles on the side of everything. Pickles.

Yelp
Did a quick stop by before work as I heard this place was amazing and OMG it is ! I was lucky enough to arrive at the right time as they just had the crossaints out of the oven. The smell was as good as it tasted and it's no ordinary no filling crossaint! They weren't stingy with the filling either! I brought an extra for my colleagues and their face said it all when they smelt it! Unfortunately I didn't have time to eat everything else but I will be back :)

Yelp
The only thing better than the coffee is the customer service, which is the best I have gotten in a long time. Strongly recommend.
