All the Charleston Restaurant Openings This Fall, 2024 | Eater Carolinas

"Restaurateurs Don and Joanne Migliori opened the restaurant on Friday, November 8. Chef Devin Sansone puts out dishes like rigatoni with pork ragu, ricotta gnocchi, margherita pizzas, traditional cioppino, gelato, and more, and the space includes a fire pit lounge area for chilly nights." - Erin Perkins

Google
We recently celebrated my birthday at Abbracci Italian Cuisine & Cocktails after quite a bit of searching for the right place. The ambiance was nice, and we were seated in a separate room with a large table, which felt private at first—even giving the impression we had our own restroom. However, we later realized it was shared with the rest of the restaurant, so we had occasional foot traffic from other guests. There was a slight delay in getting seated due to the party before us, which wasn’t a big deal. Our waitress introduced herself, and we started browsing the menu. It was a Friday evening—the start of the weekend—but unfortunately, we were told that seafood dishes weren’t available, which cut out nearly half of the menu options. Service was slow. It took a long time for food to arrive, and even more time between courses. Some guests didn’t order appetizers, so the wait felt even longer for them. One dish arrived with a hair in it, which the kitchen re-cooked, but it still left a bad impression. Service overall felt below expectations for a restaurant in this price range. Our drinks were often empty and we had to ask for refills or wine to be poured—no one was checking in. When our meals finally came out, servers didn’t know who ordered what, so we had to go back to the menu to sort things out ourselves. We were a group of 10, and the final bill came out to over $900—even though only 3 of us were drinking alcohol. While the food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, the experience didn’t quite justify the cost. I’d say the food is solid, but the service needs to match the pricing. I’d be open to giving it another try and will update this review if my next visit improves.

Abbracci Italian Cuisine in Mount Pleasant is an absolute standout! We had reservations for 8:00 and showed up 15 minutes early. The restaurant was busy so we went to bar to have cocktails while our table was being prepared. We finally sat down at 8:25 and were greeted with complimentary Prosecco for our delay. We began with the burrata appetizer, beautifully paired with fresh peaches and vibrant pesto—creamy, sweet, and savory all in one bite. For the main course, the squid ink pasta with crab meat and mussels was nothing short of spectacular. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the seafood fresh and tender, and the flavors wonderfully balanced. Our server, Georgia, provided superior attention to detail throughout the evening—anticipating needs, timing each course flawlessly, and making us feel genuinely welcome. Abbracci nails both the art of Italian cooking and the warmth of true hospitality. We’ll be back soon!

From when we walked in we knew we were in for a great dinner. The service and attentiveness of the wait staff was spot on. We had muscles and drinks to start with which were all delicious. Our meals then followed and were even better. Dessert topped the evening off. Our server Holly was amazing. They are lucky to have her, she is a great asset to the restaurant. I will definitely be back for more!

The entire experience was excellent! Loved the decor, seated immediately with reservation, drinks came right away. Focaccia Bread was amazing, we shared a Caesar salad../I would get dressing on the side next time. It was large enough to split. the Veal Picatta was equally as amazing. My husband had the grouper and it was delicious as well. We pray this place stays in Mt Pleasant! Hope to eat on their beautiful patio next time!

I had the rigatoni for the main and the prosciutto salad for the appetizer with the focaccia bread. The food is fresh and excellent, and all House made. I saw a previous review complaining about the portions and these portion sizes are normal and very filling. This is not the Olive Garden where you get a bucket of pasta. This is House made fresh pasta and the food was excellent and the service was good along with the super Tuscan wine. I would recommend coming here if you like authentic Italian food. If you’re worried about portion size, maybe you should go to that all you can eat buffet, but this is for people who actually have refined taste

Incredible meal and overall experience made even better by our wonderful server Emma. Octopus appetizer cooked to perfection, pasta made in house, and phenomenal branzino filleted at the table. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back when we return to IOP.

Yelp
First off, I think they need to decide what they want to be, a classy Italian restaurant or a sports bar. Having said that, the food was delicious and the decor was very well done. Started with a limone salad, basically a tri- colored salad. Huge portion but way too much salt. I happened to like salt but it was bordering on too much even for me. There were fried onions in it that made the whole thing! Went on to order the fusulli pasta and the cioppino. The fusilli pasta came with shrimp which were fresh and cooked perfectly. The cioppino was delicious but pricey considering the amount of seafood. It came with a small Lobster tail which was not removed from the shell and in the course of trying to remove it, sauce splattered all over the table. The server was a little slow in cleaning it up even though it was brought to get attention. Our server was trying but fell a bit short. The bathroom was nicely decorated but the garbage can was full, this was surprising especially considering they had just opened. Easy parking in the lot. Overall, huge potential, just needs some tweaks.

Yelp
Met up with a few friends for dinner and the ambience and aesthetics that the owners put into this build out is beautiful. The service was wonderful and the food delicious. I will be back!

Yelp
Nice new Italian restaurant, nice decors . Have not been there as spaghetti bologna USA is not on the menu, the standard I measure all Italian restaurants on. Locally I like miglories, amalfis, brocco bracco, cuoco pazzo.

Yelp
First, the interior of Abbracci is extremely well done. The staff is pretty good. We did not have reservations and felt pressured to quickly wrap up our dinner even though we had dessert. The food is very good. We each had three different pasta dishes and the bean dip as an app. The bean dip is full of garlic and flavor. All of our dishes were hot and the presentation was well done. I had the squid ink pasta dish. It was better than I expected! It was full of crab meat and mussels. I would get it again and reccomemd it. The cocktails we had were well done with proper pours! Desserts were also delicious. The prices are slightly high for Italian food, but we were prepared. I would get drinks and apps here regularly. Dinner, not so much.

Yelp
Went for the first time and was not disappointed. The food was very good. The service was spotty, but no unexpected in a new restaurant. Caesar salad was tasty.

Yelp
Great food and staff. Atmosphere was very comfortable. Our waitress went was excellent, we never waited for anything.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, but honestly the food is pretty unappealing and bland. The Fusilli was very bland with the shrimp having zero flavor with a rubbery texture. Very disappointing . Calamari was acceptable but missing any semblance of artistry.lPizza was served cold as if it had been sitting in kitchen for some time. Tiramisu was had too much rum or amaretto as the liquor was swirling around the bottom of the served glass. Lovely interior and the place was packed but there are MANY other options in town for an exceptional Italian fare and this one needs work. Suggest working on kitchen staff and improving recipes. Caesar salad needed tang as well.

Yelp
Great new restaurant with exceptional food and service. Best Veal I have ever tasted. And wine selection is a good one.
