We dined here for an 8:00 pm reservation and unfortunately the experience fell short overall.
We were seated about 30 minutes late, which already put the evening behind. When we were first seated, we were initially placed at an undesirable table in front of the service area with high foot traffic and noise from the kitchen, despite several better two-top tables being open for the duration of our meal. We asked one staff member about changing tables but nothing came of it. After asking the hostess, we were moved, though the interaction felt a bit dismissive.
Service was inconsistent, though I do want to note that our server himself was polite and tried to be helpful. A French 75 we ordered was forgotten, but it was comped. Utensils were also not changed between courses until we asked.
One of the main courses, the fish, was undercooked and slimy. When we mentioned it, our server offered to have it remade in a professional, non-pressuring way. We declined, and he later brought us complimentary cookies, which we appreciated.
The biggest issue for us was the food. Out of around eight dishes, we truly enjoyed only one. Most of the dishes were very bland and under-seasoned, which was disappointing given the restaurant’s reputation and price point.
Between the late seating, initial table placement, inconsistent pacing, and underwhelming food, this isn’t a place we’d choose to return to.
