LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT ABBYS This place is amazing! The staff & atmosphere is welcoming and amazing. The newly redone patio area is beautiful and a nice place to kickback. Karaoke on Thursdays is beyond fun! Don't forget to check out Dumpling Queen, the food is unbelievably good!

We were travelers who wandered in on a warm summer day and were welcomed by a crowd of locals, a friendly staff, and great drinks - what more could we ask for! We are fans of a good local dive bar and this one was a perfect place to grab a cold drink. There were all the typical beverages you would expect beers, wells, and mixers - but this place had a surprising cocktail list too - my favorite was the "Kick Rocks" and raspberry lemonade drink with an explosive candied rim - pop rocks! A trick I will be using at my home bar from now on!

Great place to hang out and have a drink. Live music in the back patio makes it cooler.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised! The bartender was super friendly and attentive and the drinks were yummy! The inside was clean and the patio would be nice during summer nights! Would recommend!

First place in town I've been able to watch a Pac-12 football game with sound. New owners appear to be USC fans so for now at least they have the Pac-12 Network (all channels). The big TV is outside but the large fire pits can keep you plenty warm. I also really liked the bathroom setup- three individual occupancy rooms with vacant/ occupied signaling door locks and then a shared sink area a little more open to the bar which I think encourages hand washing. I'll definitely be back any time they are showing a Pac-12 football game.

Unbelievably hip! Wow! What a renovation... The patio area is so inviting and perfect for chilly nights with several outdoor fire pits!

Kristin is a legend, she literally brought the vibe from 0 to 20. Great place to go with a group of friends, you MUST come.

I love a good dive bar, so I've been wanting to check out Abby's for a while. I loved it! Went in with my boyfriend this past Saturday during the snow storm, so it wasn't very busy (it was also fairly early). They didn't have a large draft selection, but I still enjoyed my beer (an IPA). We played some pool which was free, and the table wasn't a wreck (like you wouldn't normally find with a free play). The best part is the outdoor space - it's huge! They have 2 fire pits, lots of adirondack chairs, and heat lamps. Nestled in the back is and Airstream/food truck that serves dumplings (the Dumpling Queen), though we didn't get any food this time. We saw a few people come and go just to pick up dumplings, so they're probably good! I'd like to come back for live music, and we'll bring the pup now that we know they allow dogs :D

How about a beer? Come here for free pool and Karaoke on Thursday night. But I can't take it any more so I'm going to wave her down and ASK FOR A BEER!!! I'm on my third beer made by New Glory. You will appreciate sunset surge. Tangerine flavor beer. ITS SOOOO F'ng good!!!

Such a dive bar with a large outdoor space for relaxing and live music. They also have the Dumpling Queen outside to order fantastic eats while there. The inside is everything you expect a dive bar to be with pool table, some high tops, bar seating, video poker, fun signs on the wall, great bartenders and...their bathrooms are anything but dive-like. They look newly renovated and kind of posh for a dive bar. I love seeing places with more than one bathroom. This place has three available with nice tile work and cool wallpaper. The two on either end are spacious and the middle one is tight but still nice. The outdoor area has both low tables and high tops plus two firepit areas with Adirondack chair seating around them. Bonus if you gone when the Reno Aces have fireworks because you'll have a perfect view from the patio. This was a great find and I highly recommend checking it out.

I attended the Yelp event at Abby's in the spring. A month later one of my. Clients was looking for a venue to host her organization's fundraiser. The event was a garden party. I immediately told her about Abby's. She met with Kristen and set up the event. So at the end of September I attended The Century Club's Garden Party. It was a fundraiser for a nursing scholarship. The ladies of TCC were thrilled. The day and the back patio were beautiful. The perfect venue for their theme. Kristen had created a couple of special cocktails for the event using botanicals and infusions. Kristen also gave a lecture on the botanicals used in liquor infusions and as additional ingredients to create more flavorful drinks. She then presented a demonstration of the two special cocktails. The group loved it. Dumpling Queen provided snacks of dumplings and noodles for the event. They were a nice pairing with the refreshing beverages. The patio was spacious enough the guests could wander and talk and enjoy the gorgeous weather. There was even a space for them to set up a raffle prize table. Besides popping in here for snacks and adult beverages, I highly recommend you consider Abby's for any of your event needs. Fabulous huge patio. Indoor space with bar. On-site food available. Great staff. And clean restrooms. There's also a large parking lot in the back. Thanks Abby's for helping make The Century Club's event a success.

This place is a vibe. I love sitting at the bar with the stellar staff slinging drinks. Had my first steak shot and can't wait for another

Another bar on fourth street! I love options! This bar is not fancy, but it is a fun location for meeting up for drinks, playing pool, or getting some delicious food from Dumpling Queen. I would say this is a classic American bar, with classic bar vibes. The inside was ample, a fully stocked bar, and a huge outside back patio with 2 fire pits. Apparently, you can also reserve the fire pits for large parties. There were "reserved" signs hanging up, when we visited. Dumpling Queens food truck is also located in the back patio of Abby's. My husband and I ordered some dumplings, then grabbed a seat at the bar to enjoy some weekend cocktails. We will be back!

The bartender who was tall and had short blonde hair with a half updo and two pig tails was being rude for no reason. I was asking her about the Santa crawl specials and look at me like I was dumb. Fire her.

One of the bartenders called me retarded and continue to say additional commentary about me. Terrible service.

This bar has an amazing patio and friendly bartenders. They have 2 fire pits going and a number of tables. They also happen to have Dumpling Queen food truck in their patio. I highly recommend you order some soup dumplings, grab a drink, and take a seat and relax! The atmosphere here is very chill, with a game being projected on their outdoor screen. This has become a frequent place to introduce friends to this great hang out spot and great food! Can I also note that I have never more pleased for a bar bathroom layout and design before? I was so pleased and blown away that I had to take a picture of the ingenuity. Three unisex individual stalls with a communal sink and hand soap that smells delightful. This has been the first time I've ever mentioned a bathroom as part of a review, but my goodness, this bar is just that great!

Abby's is a chill Reno bar. It has the "dive bar" feel without being janky, sticky, and gross. It has a fantastic patio area in the back where you can take advantage of the Dumpling Queen food trailer. I suggest getting the pork dumplings! The bar staff are great people, but no one here is a mixologist, so keep your drink expectations simple and you won't be disappointed. We've become a big fan of the vibe here and will be more regularly attending.

This is a fun dive bar with a great cocktail list. Loved the mall rat-so tropical! Wednesdays are trivia night and Thursday's are karaoke night. The patio is very cool with fire pits and a big screen TV. They don't serve food but Dumpling Queen shares the patio and their dumplings are delicious! Very cool place

What a great bar!! Our gal Monica took great care of us. This is a very cool place with all the nostalgia on the walls. Bonus was The Dumpling Queen and being to get a wonderful bite and eat it in the bar. I will definitely go back. Super fun!!

Monica was a great professional individual that is awesome, super nice and respectful. Loved her company and she's the reason why I stayed longer buying drinks. Love her she's awesome! She played Pool with us. Recommend amazing drinks for us and it was AMAZING!

We visited Abby's for a burlesque show that was happening. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar. The bartender convinced me to try the signature PB old fashioned. It was mild on the PB so that pleased me, and overall a good cocktail. She even served it was a PB dipped pretzel stick. The bar has not been changed much as it looks like a good ol' dive bar. The outdoor patio however has been revamped into a spacious, comfortable hang out area with fire pits, seating, a large screen tv, and blankets to keep you cozy! A refurbished airstream sits out there as well, holding the food truck business "Dumpling Queen" but that a different review right there! Inside for the show, the space was packed with close seated chairs and stools and slightly cramped but still cozy and full of great energy! There was no stage but the burlesque show was still big enough for the three performers to do there thing and plenty close to the audience for lots of interaction. I'll have to go back strictly for the bar/patio vibe but it was a fun first experience!

Going down to 4th St for dinner? Stop by Abby's Highway 40 for a pre dinner drink. Stop by Abby's for a post dinner drink. Just Go to Abby's. Abby's was recently re modeled but still kept the old Nevada vibe that has made it a popular watering hole. They feature a wide assortment of draft, bottle beers and offer great signature cocktails. Food is offered by the Dumpling Queen located next door. Sit back and enjoy your drink inside the bar area or that it outside and enjoy the fire pit. Bartenders are friendly and will make your visit a great one.

It doesn't get any better. The bartenders are amazing, especially Chloe, and if you're looking for a backyard kind of feel, their outdoor area is perfect. That doesn't even begin to cover the dumplings served on premises. Cherry on top, the pool table is free.

Abby's Hwy 40 is a good dive bar. It doesn't seem like much. Only has drinks but that's enough though. Friendly atmosphere. There's a patio. It has some basic cocktails. Most things are served in a small glass. The popular drinks here include rum and whiskey. It's about $5 to get a typical cocktail. There's nothing fancy, but the drinks are strong. Best part about the bar is the patio in the back. It has some fun stuff like cornhole or some other games. There's usually a friendly bartender or some colorful local hanging out.

We swung by Abby's because the allure of Xiao long bao and Dan Dan noodles from the Dumpling Queen food truck was too much . Lots of drink choices and even some unique cocktails of their own as well! We love being able to grab a drink, a bite, and relax in their spacious back patio area sometimes accompanied by a DJ or live music; and if you're lucky you'll also be able to catch the fireworks from the Aces Stadium after a game!

Such a great find! From the moment we walked into this place, we felt right at home!! Bartender was super knowledgeable of the area and shared stories. She was very accommodating to our needs and made great drinks! I may've lost 2 of my 3 dart games against my bf but I still walked out a winner having visited this place. Definitely going back again next time I'm in town!!

As far as dive bars go, this one is a homerun. The dumpling truck on site provides a nice warm bite to eat and the price points aren't too crazy on drinks. The bartenders are friendly and the place is kept clean enough. The close proximity to our home and friendly enough vibe will keep us coming back.

It has a great pool table and a big outdoor seating area with fire pits, the dumpling queen has amazing food perfect to snack on while your drinking, I got a peanut butter old fashion it was one of the best drinks Iv had, the bartenders are so fun and knowledgeable we will be back for bingo night!!!

Had a super nice evening sitting in the courtyard at Abby's Highway 40. Such a lovely little hide-away. Monica, behind the bar, was so friendly and helpful. I wasnt sure what i wanted to drink and she was great assisting me. And how great to have Dumpling Queen right there with delicious soup dumplings (the soup is in the dumpling). Sean at Dumpling Queen was great, fun and friendly to talk with. What a nice group of people. Looked like they have a date night special with dumplings, bao and sake.

We were out in Reno for Bret Jr's bachelor party, or as we like to call him BJ, and we stumbled upon this awesome dive bar totally by chance. We were all so glad we did because the bartenders were amazing and made sure BJ had a great F'n time! They were super friendly and entertaining and poured us some special shots! If I was from Reno I'd be here every weekend. Awesome vibe with a pool table and darts. Also a big outdoor patio with fire pits, a movie screen, and the most amazing hot and fresh dumplings I've had in my life! This place is sick, definitely stopping by again next time I'm in Reno!

GET THE OLD FASHIONED FROM MONICA. This whole place is a vibe and outdoor area is perfect for the current weather. Monica was a great bar tender and makes a killer old fashioned. Remember, the vibes are immaculate.

Quick trip I to just use the rest room. I noticed a cool craps pool table lol. I was impressed. The bathroom was slick and clean! I decided to get a quick vodka soda. The bartender owner operator was super cool. I got a little reno history lesson while I was I'm, a cold drink and learned about a secretive cool bar off the grid. Check em out! 5 stars

This old Reno bar has been totally refreshed, cleaned up and updated. Great drinks and amazing outdoor patio with fire tables and a big screen tv that shows sports or features movie nights. The service is also amazing. An employee served us on the patio even before her shift started. Clearly a place people are happy to be working at.

This bar. I can not tell you how awesome the bartender and all her bar backs are. This place made 6 strangers feel like home. All day everyday.

Man, what a great local Reno dive bar. Some friends took us here one Saturday night and it was outstanding. From the bartender that will be celebrating his 19th year there to the great vide. Even when you tell the locals you are from Sacramento they don't get mad. haha Well, they didn't get mad at me because I'm awesome. We loved Abby's and will be back.

Fun bar that we like to end up at! Donny makes the best bloody Mary's! Definitely a dive bar, but a great place to hangout and play pool.

I've stopped in here a few times while out walking with my pup. The first time was during Street Vibrations and they brought out a bowl of water for my thirsty pup. Now I swear, she thinks of this place as her new cookie bar. Whenever we walk past, she wants to stop n and say hello. We never have a chance to stay real long, but we do grab a drink and say hi. Everyone is real friendly and welcoming. Definitely my kind of place and I will continue to stop in while living here.

Donny is fantastic!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun bar to let your hair down and play the jukebox loud!

My favorite bar in Reno. This is a real bar, and it feels like home... it's my favorite place to spend hours drinking beer, listening to the jukebox, and playing horseshoes outside. This is a Clampers bar, so know what you're getting into before you go. Donny will take great care of you, so do the same for him. This bar opens when he gets there, and closes when he wants to leave. I miss this place already.

I'm a "dive bar" fan, if they're all like Abby's Hwy 40. I like it because of the friendly, but smart-ass bar staff, the funny regulars, the outdoor & private seating, it's clean and low-key. Full bar and I'm comfortable going here with anyone. Pretentious? HA! It's 4th Street, there's hookers and homeless. YES, it IS safe, sheesh, they're just people.

So we have been to Abby's a few times and I love it. You have a nice dive bar I love this place
