Dim Sum in Sacramento
ABC Bakery

Richard C.

Google
I visited the ABC Bakery and it did.not disappoint. Instead, it surprised me that there was not a line of people "Out- of-the-Door", as I found in all of my previous visits. You can get all of the classic dim sum pasteries: shrimp dumpling (har kow), pork dumpling (sui mai), baked bbq pork bun were my choices. The bakery also carries: Portuguese custard tarts, sweet rice cakes, bbq black bean tiny ribs, the steamed bbq pork bun, sticky sweet red bean sesame balls, sticky pork turnover, and a new addition homemade moon cakes to celebrate New Year! Flat entry, plenty of parking, not venue for dine in / only take out. Good pricing for hand made dumplings. * More photos of the pasteries on the rereview

Get there early. The have many different items to try. You wont be disappointed. There is usually a long line here, sometimes the line is out the door.

Google
Love that this place has plenty of sweet and savory options! There will always be a line, it just depends on your timing but it goes by fast. Their foods are a great and tasty quick bite! Prices did go up, but with the economy and inflation, it's still cheap and totally worth it!

Jerry A.

Google
It's the good one! Pineapple pork bun is so crazy good and the sesame rice-balls are very crunchy and sweet!

Google
Lazy hai gow tsk tsk...They decided to not mince the shrimp anymore on haigow. Disappointed in shortcuts being theyre considered the benchmark dimsum spot in Sac 🤔 Their baked items are a lot stronger than their hot food. Prices are high for fast dimsum Slightly overhyped/overrated but lack of options elsewhere

Fast service even with long line. Very busy in the morning. Select items may run out before 10am. No inside dinning, very small area for customers. Bakes buns are delicious! Recommend baked chicken bun, pineapple bum, chicken feet, and soup dumplings. They only accpet cash or debit card only as payments.

Google
My boys really like the BBQ pork buns. We usually go on weekends, so there is usually a line, but the wait is never long. They only accept cash and debit cards. The only item I probably won't order again is the large steamed chicken bun, but besides that, everything we've ordered has been delicious, especially the egg tart.

Google
First time at this bakery and I haven't had a lot of Dim Sum in general. This place pretty good in my opinion, especially for the price despite the rapid and constant price escalation since COVID. The workers here want you to be fast as they get really busy and are no nonsense fairly typical Asian food service that does to go only. They don't take same day phone orders (at least when I called on a Sunday) because they are extremely busy and make a limited supply of all items. When I arrived there were no Shanghai Soup Dumplings and I arrived before noon. Menu picture does not include all item prices. IMO it's rare for a place, let alone a random little place like this to be as good as this place is. Despite its flaws, anyone in the area definitely must try this place. Pork Siu Mai - Huge partially wrapped pork meatball. Very large, meaty, chewy in a good way. Largest I have ever seen/eaten. Great flavor imo, although the size of them kind of skews the ratio of meat to wrapping that I like. Similar texture to that of vietnamese meatballs but with chunks of stuff inside. Worth a try for a great price. Egg tart - Soft and mildly sweet egg filling in a golden beautifully flaky crust. It was a solid egg tart, maybe the best I've had (not many tried). I just have no desire to eat these so I wouldn't get them again. Shrimp dumpling/har gow - Shrimp and bamboo shoot in a translucently colored dumpling wrapper. I felt like it would've been really good... if it was fresher. Idk what the problem was, basically shrimp and bamboo shoot, but something tasted off/unfresh. Bamboo shoot tasted more like old asian man breath smell. Maybe it was a bad batch. Chicken Curry Bun - Soft semi sweet bun filled with a mild curry chicken filling. Good, fairly sweet however. Decent ratio of filling and flavor, not really spicy at all. Hotdog Bun - 4 chunky slices of hot dog evenly placed on a delicious semi sweet bun sprinkled with green onion. I like the hotdog to be more spread out but it was very delicious and looked great too. Bbq pork bun - Soft sweet bun filled with Chinese style BBQ Pork filling. Good, had that five spice kind of flavor, quite sweet but not sure if that's normal. My girlfriend didn't like the level of sweetness but I thought it was fine. Good ratio of filling to bun 👌 Pineapple buns - Soft bread with a delicious crust on top and fantastic custard cream filling. Must get. It is very yummy. Sometimes the creamy filling is a little sparse but even just the bread is delicious. Reheated it in the air fryer and it tasted like a cinnabon. Not pineapple flavored if you're scared of that. Sesame balls - Sesame seed covered mochi balls filled with red bean. Must get. Best sesame balls I've eaten (not tried many) delicious and fair size. Outstanding quality. Mochi pancakes - pan fried mochi pancake with filling. all quite good and I think I would crave the red bean and custard one occasionally, bbq pork filling was kind of lacking. Fried pork dumplings - Mochi like wrapper filled with spiced pork. Decent flavor of five spice and good amount of filling

Yelp
My absolute favorites here are the potstickers and pork shumai! When I'm craving them, it's so hard to find a place that makes them fresh but ABC Bakery has the *best* in Sacramento. I can always count on getting my fix here. You can tell everything is fresh because they're constantly refilling the trays. The potstickers are HUGE unlike other places where they're tiny, these are packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. You definitely won't be disappointed. Other items I love are the shrimp balls, curry buns, BBQ pork buns, sesame balls, and pork balls (sorry if I got a few of the names wrong!). Everything I've tried has been delicious. If you go early, you can beat the long lines that often stretch out the door. Plus, they close early, so definitely check their hours before you go. The shop itself is small, so only a few people can fit inside at once but it's totally worth the wait. I'll definitely keep coming back again and again!

Yelp
The food is always good. I always get the pork shumai and the shrimp shumai. My daugther loves thier pork baos and the hotdog bun, we always get those 4 items. I haven't really tried alot of the other items but they all look delicious. The only thing that sucks about this place is that the line can get long depending what time of the day you go. Sometimes around lunch time the link can wrap around the building and the wait can be about 30 mins or so. But overall I come here about once a month just to get my dim sum fix!

Yelp
I've always wanted to stop by and on many occasions I attempted to stop by I always left because of the very long lines. I finally had a chance last week and of course the lines were long. I waited about 30 minutes before I can place my order and was excited because I thought the long lines meant the food was amazing. I ordered pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, barbecue pork buns, and rice wrapped with chicken. After I got home, I tried the pork dumplings and shrimp dumplings and found that there was a slight after taste. I couldn't really pinpoint what it was whether it was the white pepper that was overwhelming or what it was. The portion is generous. The baked barbecue buns were fluffy and round, but the stuffing on the inside was rather dry. I'm used to the filling being savory. For me, I prefer my local dim sum spot and just thought to check out this place to see what the hype was about. Oh I also wanted to point out. It's cash or debit card only no credit card.

Yelp
Stopped by this bakery on the way to Reno and so glad we did. No dine inn strictly to go. I really wanted to try the pineapple bun pork BBQ but they were already sold out and just ended up trying the regular baked bbq bun which was good and had a lot of meat inside. We also got some chicken feet, shrimp har gaw, pork dumlpling and let me tell you it was huge, meaty and not dry, sparerib with rice noodle and brisket rice noodle all were amazing. We tried apple turnover and probably was not my favorite. Overall will definietly come back for some dimsum and bbq buns.
google avatar

Yelp
They have the pineapple bbq pork bun ! I tried it good mix of sweet and savory ! Also got the egg tarts ! My favorite bakery item !

Yelp
Line Up! Bao Down -Sacramento's Steadiest Staple I've been coming here for nearly 3.5 years after a dear friend mentioned this place to me, and if that doesn't already say something, let me spell it out: this bakery is worth your time. I don't hand out praise lightly to bakeries or dim sum places, but the quality here has been reliable every single visit. The BBQ pork buns set the standard-soft dough, balanced filling, and just enough sweetness without being over the top. The egg tarts are equally impressive, with a flaky crust that actually holds up, filled with custard that's smooth and not cloying. It's rare to find both texture and flavor this well-executed. Service deserves mention too. The staff work quickly, and even when the line is long (and yes, it usually is), it moves at a steady pace. On one occasion, I arrived right before closing and they still went out of their way to steam fresh siu mai for me. That kind of consistency and work ethic doesn't go unnoticed. Be realistic: if you show up late in the day, expect the most popular items to be sold out. The smart move is to come early or call ahead. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and there's a wide range of bao fillings beyond pork-chicken, curry beef, pineapple, green onion, even a hot dog bun if you want something different. My staples are BBQ pork bao, steamed chicken bao, pineapple bun, hot dog bun, and green onion bun. The siu mai and fried pork dumplings also deserve attention. Everything holds up, nothing feels rushed or sloppy. Really quick counter service ambiance like place.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
ABC is open early and their dim sum is decent. I mainly stick with the siu mi. As with most restaurants they do a certain things well and a decent job on other items. I will always get the siu mai especially for a road trip.
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Nice bakery spot for quick and semi cheap eats, just depends what and how much you get. They offer dimsum items (har gow, siu mai, chicken feet, black bean sauce spareribs, steamed noodles plain or with shrimp or beef, etc.), a variety of baos, and even do select party trays. I will say it was a great experience the first time I came but after coming back after a couple years, the quality wasn't what it used to be. The fried pork dumpling (football shaped) was very skimpy on the meat. The siu mai and the big combo bun's meat were very chewy, and the shrimp balls being $2 each isn't worth it to me. I believe it's about $5-6 if you were to get them at a dimsum spot and they come with 4 pieces and fresh made sweet and sour sauce. Don't get me wrong, some items are still a hit for me, like the bbq pork puff pastry, black beans spare ribs, and the custard mochi, but aside from those, there isn't much that I'd care to go back for.

Yelp
ABC Bakery isn't new, in fact it's been around for ages. It is, however a well kept secret that should be discovered often! Finding the exact location if you're not familiar with the area, may take a minute, and waiting in line will be frustrating, so get there early and be prepared. ABC has some pretty tasty pastries, food items, and more! You'll absolutely want to try everything and should! The prices are pretty reasonable, the staff while they are super busy, are friendly under pressure. It's easy to see that they are baking and packing orders at a rapid rate. And it's all done with precision. This is one of the best Chinese bakeries that I've been to in Sacramento. Pork bao buns are a must. Scrumptious, filled with meat, and you can't eat just one. Pineapple buns are a must. If you know, you know, and if you don't, you need to find out! Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of the items. We ended up ordering what it felt like everything and the fam Bam enjoyed everything down to the final crumbs. The lines are absolutely worth the wait, and if you're looking for a pro tip, get there early in the morning because it's a guarantee that by 10 AM they will have run out of quite a few things!

Yelp
Anytime I am near this bakery I stop here but normally in the afternoon when they are depleted. Today came in the morning, long line and fully stocked. Shrimp Dumplings Pork Dumplings Pork and hot dog bao Egg custard dessert Sweet rice cake All so good.

Yelp
Perennially great food. This time around I got some egg custard tarts, pineapple buns and steamed shrimp dumplings. Is it my imagination or did the dumplings get smaller? They're still a very decent size but feel.smaller....or maybe im bigger these days. These are excellent. The shrimp taste and texture of the wrap as always is excellent. The pineapple buns have a good mix of pineapple flavor and sweet bun taste. The custard tarts are my favorite...I feel taste even better cold. This place and been remodeled and expanded and looks good. Still.too crowded on weekend mornings and may require a bit of a wait.

Yelp
Yes please, this spot is my kind of restaurant. They always have a good amount of options and the pricing is very fair for what you get. My only problem is that I come in with a plan, and want to leave with everything. I think they prefer cash but I think they take debit cards now, I'm used to bringing cash though. Depending on when you stop in the line may be long, but they are pretty quick. This also means that while you're waiting in line you should be planning your order, because you'll want to be ready as soon as it's your turn. I really like the pork bao, shumai, and shrimp dumplings, but I try to get a variety of items and try new things when they're available. The parking lot also has plenty of spots so it makes it easy to stop by. It's great for a quick meal or to buy for a group. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

Yelp
We learned about this place through cousins who would bring their egg tarts to family gathers and we happened to be passing by and decided to stop by to bring egg tarts to a friends gathering and I'm SO GLAD we did. They were a HUGE hit with all our friends - reminding everyone of the egg tarts we all grew up with in SF - the light flaky crust, along with the super light and flavorful custard! AND these were the REGULAR size egg tarts - nowadays alot of other places made them slightly smaller - this is the "what I grew up" size! Big and PERFECT! I just wish we lived closer - but then again - we may be eating this all the time if that were the case! LOL... We also grabbed their chicken bun - and what a surprise. I usually get them where they are steamed (white bun) but theirs come baked - what a nice surprise. It was tasty and different with the different bun and we loved it. We also got the sticky rice chicken - OMG - so MUCH flavor - and the sticky rice had additional flavor that complemented the chicken. They are very efficient - if we could of we would have ordered more but will definitely stop by here when we are in the neighborhood or passing through.

Yelp
After trying alot of different Chinese food spots, I had to give it up to this spot for always being consistently delicious. The place usually has a line but it moves fast. They are primarily cash so come ready. The dim sum is soild and my go to are the shu mai and baked bbq buns. Most items here are tasty so you always leave with a full bag.
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
The staff isn't always the friendliest. The food is decent but they use 5 spice in some things, which just isn't my favorite. It gets pretty busy so get there early. Still worth a try.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
It was my first time checking this place out after work. I attempted to go on a Monday and found out they're closed so I tried again on a different day and was able to come in. My favorite was the peanut mochi as it was very soft and good quality. The shrimp dumpling was also good but a lil on the pricey side. I wonder how they compare to a dim-sum restaurant....I was told they are cheaper. But you do have to go here earlier as they run out of items fast. The red bean cake was good and they were out of the red bean mochi. I also tried one of the spongy rice cake slice. The ambiance was neutral, as it was a small mom and pop where they just have a line where you order and leave. It would be nice if they could have seating outside for those who want to eat or on a lunch break. Overall, I plan to return to try the items that were sold out when I first came.

Yelp
ABC bakery has been a Sacramento favorite for probably decades. Nowadays, there are many more places in Sacramento where you can buy dim sum. But, ABC bakery is still the place you can go to for a tremendous variety of foods that you can't easily get elsewhere from a singular place. That's quite a feat. And, they've managed to keep their prices reasonable and continue to churn out fresh dim sum throughout the day. Ambiance is no frills. One line, know what you want. It's a cash or debit establishment so remember that before you step into the queue. The line generally moves well as long as the customer knows what they want and orders swiftly. The slowness is almost always due to the customer because the workers hustle to get people in and out. My favorites at ABC bakery include the shrimp dumplings, bak tong go, siu mai, and pineapple buns. The buns (bread) themselves are fantastic in the pineapple buns, bbq pork buns, and curry chicken :pillowy and tender. But, the bbq pork filling and curry chicken filling are average.
google avatar

Eva W.

Yelp
It has been a while since I have been here. I used to come more often when I lived closer. I heard the bakery was under new ownership. I called ahead and ordered three dozen BBQ Pork Buns a head of time for a work function. When I went to pick them up. I saw a sign for cash only. This was a very inconvenience for me. Now a days, I just don't carry cash anymore. Good thing my bank is across the street. I went to get cash and went back to the store. Now, I look at their prices on their board. The prices of the buns are not the same as online. They have raised their prices. So now, I'm short of cash! I went back to my car. I remember I had a bunch of quarters. I remember, they use to take credit cards. I guess under the new ownership, they don't want to deal with the fees of the credit cards. But they can put the fees back to the customers. There are ways. It just became a hassle for me, and I was pressed for time. Truly and inconvenience. The BBQ Pork buns were ok. The ratio of meat to bun was not there, little meat. The flavor was not as expected, a little bland. I remember the buns were a lot better.

Yelp
Havent been in a fat minute and they changed so much sadly. They got rid of alot of their sweet steamed baos and some other baked baos and prices obvi increased. We went around 12 something on sunday and there was a line but it moved decently well. We got 3 curry chicken bao, and 3 pineapple bao and i also got the white sugar cake. The baos got much smaller, especially the pineapple bun. Filling wise the curry bao had a good amount of filling but the pineapple one was defined lacking. Also bought the lemon roll cake (8$) and the shrimp and beef brisket cheurng fun (5$ each) and when she pulled them out the container was sooooo tiny LOL. Overall tbh i think Dim Dim is better bc they have much more selection and im pretty sure their stuff is cheaper and also pretty good.

Yelp
By far the best Chinese bakery yet! Visited on a late Sunday morning at around 11 am. Lines were already starting to form, and honestly, I can see why. The space is small and clean, and the display cases were filled entirely by all kinds of breads, cookies, and savory baked goods. Fair prices and amazing quality, not to mention variety; trays of dim sum and baked goods were constantly being replaced. I ordered hot dog buns, fried pork buns, pineapple bbq pork buns, almond cookies, and steamed vegetable pork buns. Despite large order sizes and long-ish lines, staff were attentive and kept the line moving quickly. Staff also offered a printed out menu to guests for ordering when up at the counter. All were delicious, but the favorite was the pineapple buns. Don't let the lines scare you, definitely a must try!

Yelp
Some friends picked up some egg tarts and I got a chance to try it. Egg Tart - creamy, thicker, yet lighter egg custard with a flakey crust. Looking forward to stopping in personally.
google avatar

Yelp
Rice noodles, har gao and shu mai just to name a few of our favorite treats to enjoy at ABC Bakery. Service is always fast and efficient in this little family owned bakery.
google avatar

Victor X.

Yelp
It's too expensive for the quality of the food. The food doesn't taste fresh. I give them 2 stars for the good service they have and the choices of drink selection (soda cans and bottles juices). The restaurant is clean. I'm not going back.
google avatar

Joe A.

Yelp
A hidden Gem on Florin Rd. There's so many delicious treats you can try. But a must try is the Egg Custard tart. Don't let the long line scare you the service is fast. No seating everything is to go.
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
In my opinion they have some of the best Dim Sum in Sacramento. Everything is cooked daily. Their dumplings are huge and the value is good, especially these days with prices so high on everything. My favorite is the baked BBQ pork buns hot and fresh. One is enough to fill me up. It's a far drive for me, luckily, because I would come here more often.
google avatar

Geneva L.

Yelp
This is a local legendary bakery and after one visit I can see why. At 10 am they were still packing in people looking forward to their weekend bakery treats. They offer a large variety of baked goods and steamed dumplings. They are famous for their BBQ pork buns, which they sell by the dozen or singly. We made a variety of selections. Taro roll, BBQ pork bun, mochi tart, etc. My favorite was the egg tart with an outstanding flaky tart crust and their apple turnover. While waiting in line a helpful customer ahead of us gave me some insider tips to get the freshest pork buns, and shared which delights her kids liked best. A sweet S. Sacramento moment for sure. It's obvious why there are lines snaking out the front door here, but the able and efficient bakery staff work quickly and effectively. Definitely worth the visit. Note: cash or debit card are the only payment forms accepted.

Yelp
Haven't been back here in a while. Decided to make a stop since I've been wanting some chicken curry buns. Yum . They're the only bakery I know that makes it and it always satisfies the tummy . Besides the curry buns the bbq pork buns are delicious too. I got an order of the bbq steam rice noodles as well. The foods are still delicious but the prices have definitely gone up. Will continue to support in the future when I want more chicken curry buns.

Yelp
Still on this personal journey to find the BEST takeout dim sum in Sacramento and this time we visited ABC Bakery. I've heard many different things about this place and decided to give it a shot. This takeout spot is located in the shopping center near Raleys on Florin. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff as well as a huge line of people waiting to get their grub on a cold Sunday morning. The ambiance is alright for a takeout spot. I might've seen one table inside but it isn't really a spot to sit in and dine. They offer variety of different goods like bao and potstickers but I was looking for Siu Mai and Har Gow. While I did like the siu mai and its GOOD flavor , I didn't really like with the Har Gow. The filling wasn't very flavorful and tbh wasn't my favorite of the many places Ive been to. ABC bakery is good but I expected more from all the things I was told about its I would come back but it's honestly not my preferred destination.
google avatar

Yancy M.

Yelp
Great and authentic dim sum! No seating, all to go. Fast service too! The baked char siu bao is excellent, as are their fried pork balls. Actually, it's all good! Although it can add up pretty quick! We always spend more than we intended because we want it all!
google avatar

Cathy D.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday around 1pm, there was a line but it didn't take too long! We probably waited less than 15 minutes. The workers there kept track of our big order. We ended up getting 2 dozen shomai, and Dozen Baked Buns, 4 Egg tarts, 6 Shrimp Ball, 6 Dumplings and 6 of the Fried Dumpling. The lady also told us it would take 5 minutes for a new batch of baked buns so we said okay. I forgot the price but I think it was under $120? Which is definitely not bad. We ended up having this food for the next couple days! Would love to come back to try more of their food!

Yelp
I decided one weekday to do a food run in Sactown and this place made it on the list. I came on a Tuesday morning and there's a short line as I went inside. It was a quick process and I was next in line in no time. These were my orders: pork bbq bun, hotdog bun, shumai. The pork bun was so soft and filled inside with savory bbq. pork. The hotdog bun is not really a bun but more of a bread that had 4 cut up pieces of hotdog on top with green onions. The bread is soft as well and has a chewy texture to it. Shumai, is a bit on a hard side. It sits on the steamer and once it cooled down it got a little firmer in texture as you chew. The place is small, busy and filled with delicious goodies. There were a good amount of people in line but they go fast and you wouldn't have to wait long. Prices were affordable and the people who worked here were receptive especially if you have any questions. A must try whenever you're in the area.
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
It was my first time here and i can't believe been missing out on this amazing dim sum spot my whole life! There's no seating and there was a line of about 10 people that went by fairly fast because the workers were efficient and fast. The service was great as they're friendly and provided everything we needed. We got the hargow, steamed bbq pork bun and shrimp rice noodle and i highly recommend getting these items. I'll definitely come again to try more!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was great long lines. The dim sum was great.. steam manapua and baked manapua were great. Pork hash was so yummy. The sweet rice cake were great. So good we went 2 days in a row. Staff is very patient and polite.. but they work and their own pace. Love it.

Yelp
For some reason I was craving some dim sum. I remember hearing about ABC Bakery and decided to stop by. The bakery is a bit hidden as it's not in the "main" lot. It's a small place for basically take out. No seats, as expected. The service was good. I guess I should've checked the menu here on Yelp before stopping by, because they didn't really have much beef and chicken items. I was really hoping for some beef siu mai. Anyways, the only beef thing they had was the rice noodle. I decided to try both the beef and the brisket rice noodle. Also got an order of their regular chicken bun. I found the chicken bun bland. I wouldn't recommend it. The beef rice noodles were just ok. I prefer the brisket and it seems to have more meat. The rice noodle itself was plain, no additional brisket in it. The regular beef rice noodle was just ok. I had better. I guess my expectations were too high, and I was just disappointed that there's no beef siu mai. If anyone knows a place here in Sac that has good beef siu mai, let me know! At least now I can say I tried this place out. But unfortunately I will not make a trip out here again.

Liliana N.

Yelp
SACRAMENTO ICON. FULL STOP. Minimum order of a dozen Pineapple buns each visit. Bless yourselves, that is all.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning with a line of about a dozen people in front of me that moved quickly. The place is small but decent run of options for takeout dim sum. The har gow and siu mai we solid, and very meaty with good flavor. The spongecake was slightly fluffy and reminded me of my childhood. The shrimp and beef rice noodles were solid as well. prices are slightly less than what you would pay for sitdown, dim sum, but good place for a quick snack.
google avatar

Trilina M.

Yelp
SO FILLING. Got the-- 1. Dozen pork potstickers 2. Bbq pork bun (baked) 3. Mochi custard, red bean 4. Shrimp rice paper roll Everything here tasted good and was at an incredibly affordable price. The steamed items are HUGE. One of their potstickers is equivalent to 3 Costco lingling dumplings. It's super meaty. Just wished they came with a sauce.
google avatar

Jaane F.

Yelp
When I arrived, there was a short line inside the shop, but it moved quickly as there were many ladies working around the store. They sell a variety of breads and dim sum, as well as mooncakes. The price is quite affordable. If you have a big party, it's worth getting a dozen of their items. Be aware that they only accept cash and debit cards, not credit cards. The plaza has plenty of parking, and their shop is located near the I5 Florin Road East exit.

Yelp
This bakery sells affordable and delicious dim sum! There was a line when I was there on Friday noon but it moved relatively fast (about 15 mins). There were a lot of variations so I had to type the items that I wanted on my phone and ordered it at the cashier. - mochi custard: delicious! The custard had perfect sweetness & the mochi was chewy: perfect combination! - peanut mochi: good. The mochi was chewy and the peanut filling had a perfect balance of salty & sweet. - egg custard: good. The custard was smooth & had a perfect sweetness. The shell was flaky and crispy. - sesame ball: ok. The outer dough was crispy and not too thick. The red bean filling was good but I wish there was more of it. - fried pork dumpling: good. The dough was crispy & chewy. The filling was tasty but too little. - pork siu mai: delicious! Each one was big so it was worth it for the price. The filling was very good: tasty and full of meat. - BBQ pork bun: delicious! The bun was soft & perfectly baked. The bbq pork filling was tasty. It was savory with a little sweetness.

Yelp
Yes, I'm giving this take-out style dim sum bakery a strong 4.5 stars. Simply because their food is good. I don't come here for the ambiance, there's nowhere to even sit down, not even the service. Just the food, it's yummy ;). Finally, I found a place that actually has more than decent dim sum around here. Came here on a friends recommendation and this place did not disappoint. The dim sum here is hot steamy fresh, and flavorful! Every single time I come there is a long line out the door. Don't get turned off by this, the line moves pretty quickly since this is not a dine in type of place. You pretty much just point a what you want in the glass counters or just let them know your order. Come early! They do run out of the good stuff, I would say don't come after 12 noon and expect everything. I've come as early as 7:30am, and that's just because I happy to be in the area. Here's my favorites that I get all the time; siu mai, har gaw, the pork buns (not the curry ones), egg tarts, and the plain bag of bao buns! They take cash or debit only! If you pay cash you get a 5% discount.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with ordering any of the items this place has available. Everything is fresh and tastes delicious. I try to stop by whenever I'm in the area, seeing as I don't live nearby. My favorite items are the bbq pork bun and the egg tarts. They get busy, so I recommend to go early in the day before they sell out of certain items.

Yelp
Usually always an excellent experience. There have been a few instances were they made a mistake or forgot something so we had to turn around and ask for it. But overall the main spot to get baked and steamed bao. Their baos are always consistent and well made. Their hot dog pastry is also a great item as well, but sells out faster than there other staple items. Inside is small and line can build up fast but it can also move pretty quick too.

Yelp
Love this place. The dim-sum items are always good. This will always be our go-to place for a quick dim-sum fix. Price is good and service is always prompt. Parking is also very convenient.

Yelp
No wonder this place is a Sacramento favorite. This place stays busy. The staff were very kind and helpful. I ordered the sui mai and had to try it right away in the car. It was steaming hot, but it was sooo good to eat while warm. When you wanna buy sui mai by the dozen, this is the place for you. Next time, I want to try the pineapple bun and shrimp dumplings.

Yelp
Great little bakery with limited dim sum assortment. Things are fresh, hot and good selection. We went around 11a during NY day and there wasn't much of a line. By the time we left around 1120a, the line was out the door. Would call this spot more of a bakery than dim sum but things were good! Got a bunch of baos (BBQ, pineapple, curry chicken), several mochis, and a bit of everything for dim sum to try! Would def come back and recommend at least going once. Since it's grab and go, food does get cold quick. A re-steam at home works nicely!

Yelp
I wished they Had delivery service! Their dim sum is the best I ever tasted - food is so great that you must come early to get your selections because most is out in the afternoons. I've seen also a long line outside but it's worth it because as I say best dim sum ever‍!

Yelp
Such a Sacramento staple! They have a good variety of buns and dim sum items. Brought two dozen BBQ pork buns and some siu mai for an office potluck and they were gone by the end of the day! Line moves fast here and they're quick to pack up your order.

Yelp
Although these had to travel a long way, from Sacramento, to here, but always well worth it. Some of the best Char Siu Bao's I have ever tasted. Maybe it's just because I've been having these since childhood, but I don't think I have tasted any better. Sure, some people prefer the steamed bao, I prefer the baked ones. These were a gift and will be greatly appreciated. Enjoy....

Yelp
Great place to get dim sum if you don't want to deal with the hassle of ordering from a restaurant or eating inside a business. This is more a Togo dim sum spot. Food was decent and price is okay. I've been here twice now and there was a line each time, but it moves pretty quickly. The food is good, but will add up if you're not careful. The desserts are okay. There are other places that do it better. The buns are decent as well. Service is typical of a chinese/asian place, seems unfriendly, but there is no rudeness or intention of it. Place is small though so best he prepared with you're order once you reach the register. I'll stop by when I crave dim sum on the go.
