All the Restaurant Openings in Dallas and Fort Worth for March 2025 | Eater Dallas

"A cheese-centric sandwich shop from Chef Scotty Scott built around an inventive array of grilled cheese sandwiches—variants include chicken, a sloppy-joe–style beef version, and a vegetarian sandwich with gouda and Honeycrisp apples—as well as playful combinations like salted honey with gouda. The broader menu features a guacamole hot dog, a burger loaded with havarti, and rotating specials such as a duck bacon BLT and a pickled-shrimp po’ boy, all emphasizing cheese-forward comfort fare." - Courtney E. Obsessed with Abe Fromage. Fancy and delightful grilled cheese. My boyfriend got the Prezzy Plain Jane - straightforward and delish. And I got the Gouda Butt, which was also great. The mint was such an interesting touch and did not overwhelm the taste. We want to try the other items, specifically the burger and cheesy Joe. The food is priced aptly; the ingredients are great quality. We also love that it’s paired with The Holly, a natural wine spot. Excited to go back!

Man oh man! Had high expectations for this place. Thought is was a restaurant near downtown ft worth. Then could find the place. Had to go into a bar and then outside the bar was a little food truck out back. Still I thought I would give the benefit of the doubt. Then I got my near $25.00 bag of food.,I know you can’t go to a place based on the pictures but this tiny grilled cheese was just laughable. Sorry Abe And then the French fries were like little tooth picks. It’s funny they have the gall to charge prices that they do as if they are at a level they show on their website. Now I’m still hungry and have to go somewhere else to eat now lol Live and learn on my part for sure! Tell ya what, I was trying to be nice but if you wanna be a dick I can too. Website is VERY misleading! And I thought I was getting what was represented on there. I was wrong and that’s my fault. Won’t make that mistake ever again, that is certain!

Very friendly service and nice neat seating area. The burger was very good, the buns were very soft and perfectly covered the patties. The honey grilled cheese was average, i could not taste the honey. It was like any other grilled cheese. But to be fair the owner recommended other grilled cheese sandwiches.

Awesome food and chill atmosphere. People may think it's pricy, but honestly, it's worth it. As a Chef, high quality ingredients can make the difference, but so does technique, and the Abe burger was honestly the star of the show. I had to stop myself from devouring the whole thing before writing this review.

The abe burger was delicious and really stood out from everything we tried. Recommended. Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes with Chimichurri Aioli were delicious. I was looking forward to the cheesy joe but was a bit disappointed in the amount of cheese on the grilled cheese sandwich. Decent. Might feel a bit pricey but the ingredients make up for it in my opinion.

WORTH THE DRIVE! I’ve dined here several times since ABE’s opening. The food & service is consistently good & delicious. Chef Scotty ensures you’ll always be eating his cheesy grilled sandwiches. A day or evening out, ABE is always worth the drive from Dallas. My order: Goud Butt with Duck Fat Fried Potatoes.

Seriously SO good!!! I got the Goud Butt, which had crunchy apple slices, combined with the perfectly melty Gouda and truffle butter— worked together so well. The potatoes with aoili/sauce were also super delicious. This is the perfect place for a night cap after hanging at The Holly. My food came out hot and quickly after ordering. Scotty is a talented guy!!

Flavor perfection! So glad we found this food truck gem right here in Fort Worth. Abe really raised the bar! Ambiance is great too with plenty of seating.
