They might sell lovely holidays, but from a working environment it’s not at all good. It is an extremely clicky place my girlfriend has said, where one department doesn’t talk to another, worryingly creepy old men that hire only females 20 years younger than themselves for their department. Apparently his nickname is Hugh Hefner, that alone tells you all you need to know about the guy. She is glad she got out.

We booked a holiday in the Maldives 4th to 12th October 2017 with this company - I have disability problems which were made clear to the agent when booking and paying in full 2 months in advance. Promises were made to us that an agent would contact us 3 days before the flight regarding the flights and any other questions we might have this never happened and when we contacted A&K they said the agent responsible was out of the country. Attempts to find us suitable seats failed and we were promised when we arrived on the island of Baros we would be given suitable recompense this never happen and the management from Baros had never been contacted by A&K. if it had been possible to give them no stars I would have.. would we book with them again - NO THANKS

Please be aware of A&K's cancellation policy!! No matter how far in advance you make your reservation to travel - even if it's over a year in advance- if you cancel, you lose 50% of your deposit. I checked some of the other upscale travel outfits like Travcoa and Tauck, and their cancellation policies are far more reasonable. So forewarned is forearmed!! When considering adventure travel, there are companies that offer the same trips at the same level of service as A&K, but if you cancel, say 10 months in advance of the trip (as in my case), you won't lose half of your deposit, which for me was $1000.
