Abe's Restaurant

I have been coming here since I was a kid I have very fond memories of my dad bringing my sister and I here. There were times we would go for dinner, just for Ice Cream or for both dinner and Ice Cream. I’ve never had a bad meal there staff is very friendly however the only issue I have is a lot of times the tables are dirty and need to be wiped down. It is a cash only place, there is a ATM on site if you don’t have cash on you. Prices are very affordable and you get a lot for your money. The Beef on Wick is absolutely amazing and out of this world every part of the sandwich is so delicious. The beef is so flavorful and juicy no fat at all on it, the Au Jus is delicious and the Wick Roll is PERFECT! It has the perfect amount of salt and seeds on it. On my visit a few days ago I got the Beef on Wick with fries and beef gravy. My sister got a Hamburger plate with fries and potato salad she loved her meal as well.

This is a place you order your food at the counter and pay. They will give you a number and bring your food to the table. The staff was friendly. The food came out quickly. We even stayed for dessert. The only complaint here is that the spoons are too flimsy for hard ice-cream. Over all a descent place. I'll be back to get the breakfast.

This place is great. It’s like a log cabin and has lots of Abe Lincoln memorabilia on the walls. It’s no frills but that’s the best part. You read the paper menu and then go to the register and order and pay. The guy taking your order will bring your food to you. We have never been here but we learned the guy who took our orders name was Tom and he was a great guy. The food came out fast and was everything you want in a diner. This place doesn’t overload the grill with butter like some diners and I appreciate that. This place is cash only and they have an ATM if you didn’t know that. You have to have great food to do business this way. This helps them keep the prices lower than a lot of places around. I ordered the steak and eggs. And if you look at the picture and think they didn’t cook my steak just know I always ask for my steak “as rare as you will cook it” and to me this was perfect. Thanks Tom for not being afraid to do it as I say. Everything else was great and the home fries have good flavor and are cooked through if you’re a home fries eater you’ll know what that means. Excellent place you will not be disappointed if this is the style of place you dig.

Food was great. Seems like a typical "burger joint" but they actually had some really unique and delicious menu choices. Service was fast and atmosphere is retro but kept up.

First time going to Abs. Stopped in for ice cream. No line. Walked right up to counter to order. There were not much choices of icecream. The girl behind counter was not pleasant and was commenting on only making $12.00 in tips. Hmm I wonder why?! My husband decided not to order anything and wanted to leave. I continued to purchase ice cream for myself and children. It would have been nice if they told us they dont take cash before we ordered. Atm charged 2.00. Paid and left. Pb ice cream had a mint chip in it and green mint ice cream. No one ordered mint ice cream so scoop must have not been rinsed/washed. Both milk shake straws were cracked and could not use, had to stop at a gas station and get another straw. Hospitality could have been much better.

Stopped here with my brother. Garbage plate was really good. Burgers have a nice sear on them and the portion was huge. I wish it was closer to where I live, Abe’s would be my new go to spot.

Wanted to try a new place other than fast food! It brought me here to Abe's! And glad it did. Friendly staff, good juicy burger. Different atmosphere geared around Abraham Lincoln! Enjoined it would come back!

This is an adorable local restaurant to Spencerport. Perfect family restaurant. They seem known for their burgers, hots, and garbage plates. But they also have breakfast, salads, wraps, and even a veggie burger and, spinach wrap as an option to any of their wraps. They have ice cream and soft serve custard as well. The Ambiance is all about Abe Lincoln and is decorated like an old log cabin, with outdoor and indoor seating. I had a the cheeseburger wrap, which was delicious, and a healthier option to their regular cheeseburger. It was very fresh, came with lettuce, tomato, onions, and mayo. The lettuce was super crisp, which was nice and satisfying. My hubs, had the regular cheeseburger and hot dog. He wolfed it down. The price was extremely reasonable, and the place was very clean and the staff friendly. I would definitely go back, and families looking for a fun night out of burgers, dogs, and Ice cream can't go wrong here. Plenty of parking.

The welcome, service, and food is worthy of 5 stars! It's not fancy, but exceptional in being clean and comfortable. There's an extensive sandwich menu with everything cooked to order and delivered to your table with a smile.

Warning- CASH ONLY! This is a rustic cabin style restaurant trying to imitate the idea of a log cabin that might have once housed an early Abe Lincoln. Order at the counter and then take a seat and your food will be brought to you by a runner. Again, cash only and tips are left in a can at the counter. They sell hard ice cream and frozen customer soft serve. Lastly they have a small toppings bar with lots of pickles and onions. Note to self- you do NOT like their Buffalo sauce. It has nutmeg or cinnamon in it.

The chicken and biscuits on Thursday is the best I've had. Go there as often as I can. Clean, good food, happy people. Order at the counter from their extensive menu. and it's delivered to your table. The grandkids challenged each other to see who could spot the most pics of Abe on the walls. Cash only with ATM onsite.

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff were very nice and the food was phenomenal. Service was fast and well. The place is cozy and filled with cool Abraham Lincoln items. 10/10 recommend.

Went to Abe's -we placed an order over the phone-not only was the order spot on, but their pricing, given today's high restaurant prices, was really reasonable. But the key to all this is the food was delicious and hot. The double cheeseburger for $8.20 was amazing-curly fries-excellent and to finish it off a large milk shake for $4.00. I encourage anyone reading this review-go to Abe's-order whatever you want (huge selection) and enjoy an excellent meal at a great price. You will not be disappointed.

This place is super goood and the guy who owns it is hilarious and so Witty and the pancakes and french fries are busing. and the out side is ok ok bye

Great restaurant; relaxed atmosphere, delicious and well prepared food. We live in Churchville and often drive to Abe's knowing we'll have a delightful and good lunch or dinner. The only suggestion we have is that Abe's use more robust Kimmel rolls because their current rolls don't hold together throughout the Beef and Kimmel meal (although the meal is still delicious).

I've been going to Abe's for over 30 years. The food and service are impeccable. Love the location and the cute Abe Lincoln theme. Highly recommend.

Decent spot, I enjoyed my hamburger and macaroni salad. The burger was medium sized and made with decent quality ingredients. The bacon is a bit thin and the beef patty is decent. This was not a bad meal but as you can see in my description it was not special, just decent.

The food was delicious, the chicken wings were delicious and reasonably priced..i have enjoyed everything on the menu!!! Service was great, and a quiet place to eat!!!! Great people!!!!!!!!!

Always good and always recognize me even when I haven't been there in a while. Honestly (pun intended) Abe's is my favorite burger/dog joint. Great breakfast too!

Great place, food came out perfect, fries nice & crispy, burger nice & juicy! Lots of food for $11.10. First time coming here, will be stopping again. It's a simple place, served with some tasty food, simply.

Kinda a townie place, but I love that! Very casual, good place to stop in for burgers or a "plate" They have ice cream and custard too.

Cash only establishment. They do have an ATM on site, food is good and it's a family ran business that has been there for years. I remember going here as a kid. New England Clam Chowder soup is homemade and excellent, plates are great, Chicken Fingers are amazing to they are those home style Chicken Fingers. And they have good Ice Cream. Great place to bring the family.

That was the worst fish fry I ever had...I couldn't cut it with a knife....uncooked potato in the potato salad...Mac salad was ok....

Nice, clean place. It looks like a log cabin on the inside with pictures of its namesake on the wall. They have the burgers, fries,onion rings, and hot turkey and roast beef sandwiches. They also have specials and "comfort food" such as meatloaf. The staff is extremely friendly!! They also have huge cookies and serve ice cream and milkshakes.

I enjoyed the meal there. Been here many times. I love a good burger and fries and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed it overall and the ice cream was great! Fun place to stop while driving on the ridge.

I have come few time but for over 2 hours each time shakes are good not perfect food is always Awsome

Food is consistent, I have been going there for years. But for the first time I just tried the wings. I got their medium sauce, which had a hint of sweet in it. A very unique sauce that almost tasted like cinnamon. Wings were cooked well, with a nice crisp on them.

Went and had a fish fry. It was just ok. The tartar sauce was very good but the fish fry could in my opinion have been better. It seemed kind of thin and had that frozen watery flavor. It wasn't overly expensive I think it was like less than 10 and came with fries and coleslaw. I don't eat coleslaw but my boyfriend said that it was very fresh but didn't have a lot of flavor. Anyway I just think the fish could have been a bit less I guess translucent? I had the home fries instead of French fries and they were really good. Even though I live close by I have never been to Abe's everyone says it's really good. It seemed like a few people had garbage type plates and burgers and they looked good. Everyone that worked there was really nice but I just wouldn't recommend going for a fish fry. I would try it again maybe for a weekend breakfast; especially because I liked the home fries so much!

I was coming through town with my family to visit my mom for a few days. She suggested Abe's. I had the shrimp platter. So damn good! The mac salad is from scratch and amazing! My wife had the honey dipped fried chicken. She said it was some of the best she's ever had! This will be a stop whenever we visit here! Great service and perfect food!

Great food for the price you pay! You can also get ice cream for the ride home!! My wife loves the unlimited supply of pickles haha The only thing that's a bummer is that it's cash only, so I make frequent trips to the ATM. Nice, homey feel to the restaurant. Glad I only live a couple minutes away! :)

Good service and good food. Everyone is very friendly. One thing you have to try is the cabin fever plate. It is by far the best thing on the menu. If you are a fan of a garbage plate give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Abe's is one of those places that, driving past, you might thnk, "Huh...wonder how that is?" You might stop, if it's meal time, or if you're hungry, but it might not draw you in otherwise...unless you have family who think it's the best place around for casual food, then you might go often. Want a burger? The Cabin Burger is a good place to start. Like chicken? They have a very good chicken sandwich. Maybe you're fond of that western New York oddity, beef on weck. Abe's serves one of the best around. Good fries, including sweet potato with maple dipping sauce. Good ice cream. Zweigles hot dogs. And an excellent Friday fish fry. So maybe you should stop by.

A quaint little restaurant in a strip mall type building but on the inside it is log cabin type structure. The menu consists of mostly fast food, hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, wings etc. If you are a fan of Abraham Lincoln you will love this place. The inside is decorated in all types of Lincoln memorabilia from pictures to his bust. The picture I liked the bay show up test was a silhouette type print made of of hundreds of little pictures from the Civil War. When you enter the restaurant you grab a menu and head to the counter to order your meal. Once you ordered they give you a numbered block that you set on your table and once your food is prepared they deliver it to you. Service is surprisingly fast and the employees are nice and polite even though they may show up to your table with a dirty shirt or apron since they prepare your food and wait on you. I will return here again when I am in the area.

Food is always good. They have a great breakfast and good Cabin Fever Plates. They have a good selection of food. They even have a theme of Abraham Lincoln. Hence the name Famous Abes. (Who is ny favorite president! )

Super cute restaurant in what seems to be the middle of nowhere. The owner was very friendly. Even in between meal times, the place was busy with locals. Solid food. Veg burger and other options for non-meat eaters. Good stuff.

Good grub, fun shtick. Been coming with the fam since I was little. Introduced my bf and now we HAVE to get takeout every Friday. He loves the Cabin Burger with its mountain of meat patties, and I drool over the fresh fish sandwich (which they also do Wednesdays). They use good rolls and have good pickles in the toppings bar. Enjoy eating there too, in a log cabin with Lincoln swag. The kids that work there are quick and actually go the extra mile of customer service. Honest meals fo' real!

My girlfriend and I ate lunch at Abe's last weekend on our travels west of Rochester. We are pretty sure that the chicken parm sandwich that she had at Abe's caused her to get very ill later that night. The biggest disappointment was upon calling Abe's the next day just to politely mention they might have something contaminated I was basically told by the manager in a very flippant attitude "do what you have to do" . Thanks .... I just did.

I finally stopped here today with my fiance to give the place a try. I have lived in Brockport my whole life and have never eaten here even though I drive by almost everyday. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the man behind the counter (I assume he is an owner/ manager, if not then he should be). I had the bacon cheeseburger, and he had the bacon blue burger. The only complaint is that the burgers could have been a little thicker, not so flat. Otherwise it tasted great, fresh toppings and not too skimpy on the bacon. We also had a small order of seasoned curly fries and the small appetizer sampler of fried zucchini (yum), onion rings and fried mushrooms. He also had a side of coleslaw and said it was the BEST that he ever had. It was decently priced for about $4 for the sampler, and the burgers were about $5 a piece. Medium drinks $1.80, refills are discounted. I would have liked to see some meal options instead of having to pay separately for entrée, side and drink but hey, they need to make money too. If you are big on customer service, then come here. Every employee we interacted with was very friendly and polite. Also the employees were dressed appropriately and had CLEAN uniforms on unlike other places I know of (::cough:: Hamlin Pizza Shack.) The Wifi is a plus. All in all I really liked it here and will definitely be back. What a nice change of pace from the usually dissapointing restaurants in the area.

We go here often especially in the summer as they have a lot of outdoor seating and we can take our dogs for a little trip which they love. Pretty much as you would expect for a hamburger place. They have a large extensive menu with specials every day. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly and eager to please. We usually order a burger, hot roast beef on wick, fresh haddock dinner or sandwich or one of their many specials. Their fries are good, onion rings OK. I prefer their homefries. Lots of indoor seating and they always have customers. I recommend it for a nice drive out west.

Literally the worst place I've ever eaten. I don't know how it got such great reviews. Maybe I tried the wrong things cause everyone else seems to love it but my husband and I were not impressed at all. I added a second star only for the decor. It was fairly cute with decorations

Great food, reasonable prices and fantastic service! The big apple waffle was amazing. The owners and wait staff really care that you had a positive experience and go the extra mile. I highly recommend Abe's. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Nice people behind the counter and service was quick. The food was just ok. I ordered a side of bacon and it was nearly see through it was so thin and poorly cooked.

Great meal and cheap too! I had the sloppy Joe platter...very good a little sweet but tasty. My dining companions ordered different burgers and really liked them. The only complaint if you can call it that was there wasn't enough bun! This is a great place for kids too. Nothing fancy but perfectly charming. Young crew of employees were great and professional! They seemed to enjoy working there.
