"Many Vancouver locals consider this Fircrest Indian restaurant, just off I-205, to be the suburb’s best, with popular standbys like chicken makhani and vegetable masala as well as an extensive South Indian menu. Start with a crisp dosa, paired with vibrant and flavorful chutneys, before moving on to one of the restaurant’s many thali, like the mild North Indian lamb pasanda or any of the biryani, which comes with korma, papadam, dal, sabar, raita, naan, and the vegetable curry and dessert of the day. The lunch buffet is a popular go-to on weekends." - Rebecca Roland, Ron Scott, Eater Staff

Have really enjoyed this place over the years. Delicious dishes and if you get the thali plates they come with sides and a choice of dessert. We got lamb vindaloo and chicken tikamisalla thali. Mango ice cream. Also if you aren't familiar with the cuisine please research before you go. It's not fair to give 2/5 starts because you didn't know a dish was traditionally spicy.

Google
Very delicious indian food! Had a lamb Somosa to start. Very fresh! Also had the Lamb vindiloo...perfect! They have a buffet Fri, Sat and Sunday as well.

Rachel Davis

Google
This lunch buffet is amazing. I like to put a row of rice down the middle of my plate and then spoon various curries and other dishes down each side. Scrumptious.

Google
Amazing dosa!!! The Thalia option with any vegetarian curry, is plenty of food!!! Hot, both in spice and temperature make this food amazingly tasty!! The warm rice pudding for dessert had just enough cardamom to make me want more.

Tried this place for lunch - it’s a casual Indian restaurant with excellent customer service. One of us went with the buffet and one of us ordered masala dosa from la carte. Lots of options available on the buffet in both vegetarian and non- vegetarian sections. Most of the food items were 3-3.5 out of 5. Loved the dosa as it was made with pure ghee and masala also tasted good. Second round of chutney came from a different batch that might’ve been close to go stale. Other than that everything else was good. Navratan korma 3 Palak paneer 3.5 Eggplant 3.5 Sambar 3 Fruit salad 3 Goat, gongura chicken 3 Pakoras 3.5 Onion rice Overall a positive experience and friendly and attentive staff.

Google
Delicious Indian food! Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants that I've tried in the US. I could easily tell that the chef really knows how to cook tasty Indian food. We tried these items: - Thali: I took Bhindi Masala as the curry (they let you choose one). Oh, boy! It tasted soooooo good. Too yummy! Super authentic. All items in the thali tasted good. Huge portions were offered. - Dosa: We tried a bunch of dosas and all of them tested perfect. Service and ambience were great. If and when I visit Seattle/Portland, I'd definitely try this again! Highly recommend.

Google
Very delicious Indian food! If you go to dinner, it is well worth the extra $5 for the full dinner (Thali) rather than just ordering a la carte. Staff are friendly and provide excellent service. They really do care about making customers comfortable and serving delicious food. I’ll definitely back for the lunch buffet.

Please know there are many in your community awaiting for your amazingly authentic S. Indian restaurant to re-open! Until then, we’re surviving on frozen naan ;)

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Coming from Los Angeles, this was some great Indian food. The owner and waiter were such great people. Don't miss out on this hole in the wall!

Paul M.

Yelp
The food was authentic and fabulous. My buddy, his kid, and I were starving, and a trusted friend recommended this restaurant. We did not regret it. Everything we ordered was delicious. The garlic naan bread was perfectly grilled, and the lamb curry was spicy and flavorful. The service was excellent; the servers were very polite. It felt like a family-owned business. The food arrived promptly. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. Its location right off the freeway made it very easy to get to. I will be back.

Wade T.

Yelp
I've had their dishes several times and they're always insanely good. I get food to go and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is also very clean and kept up well. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had.

Roni S.

Yelp
This place is my go-to whenever I'm craving some Indian food! The food is authentic and every time I order from here, it's amazing! I always order the chicken masala & vegetable samosa. This time round, I just ordered the chicken masala and it was flavorful per usual :,) It's a mild spice with cilantro and onions! Comes with a side a rice & I also ordered a side of naan. Perfect combo! The ambience is comfy and the service is attentive! Will continue to order from here :)

Ray S.

Yelp
Great food! Amazing service! Beautiful ambiance. A truly wonderful food spot. The owner is very nice too.

Olwen C.

Yelp
The lunch buffet was soooooo good! I was honestly skeptical when I pulled up and saw the place, but don't let looks deceive you. Inside you will find the most amazing Indian buffet. So much flavor in every dish. Spiced just the right way. This was the best meal on my 8 day trip to the Pacific Northwest. Lunch was $16.99. Free and easy parking. Get out of Portland and come here.

Yelp
Yesterday was our first time to eat at Abhiruchi Indian Cuisine and it turned out to be the best East Indian food we have eaten in years! The menu is extensive, but we decided to try vegetarian entrees. My husband ordered the Vegetable Biryani dinner and I ordered the Vegetable Kharai dinner. It did not take very long for our order to come out and it arrived with a basket of freshly cooked naan which was by far the best naan we have ever eaten. It was much more food than we wanted for lunch, so we ended up getting containers to take our leftovers home. Service was great and the food was fantastic. If you are looking for authentic East Indian cuisine, this is the place to get it. We will definitely go back again when we are in Vancouver.

Patty B.

Yelp
Out for a new lunch place today. I was introduced to Indian cuisine a few months ago. Raved about it to my husband. He's vegetarian and decided to try. A friend recommended this place to try different dishes at once. So we came on a Saturday. It was busy which is a good sign. We were greeted and seated immediately with a cold ice pitcher of water and two glasses. We were told we can begin to serve ourselves at the buffet or he could bring menus. There were plenty of dishes to try. My husband was very happy of the large amount of vegetables with curry. I myself went for the chicken dishes, lemon rice and I also tried their goat curry. Yum!Everything was so delicious. My husband went back to sample more, I was way too full for a second serving. For $16.95 for Buffet, in today's economy it's well worth the price. Very nice people and accommodating. We will be back. I will rate this a 5 for the food and friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of my go to places and Vancouver. The staff is very warm, visiting this restaurant is like going home to your family who's cooked a meal and expect you to eat a lot they Masaladosa very very well

Melody M.

Yelp
I loved this food. My friend brought me here and I loved the ginger chicken dish. Every part of the meal was wonderful. The sweet balls were great if you like sweet which I do.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Great samosas! Came with a group of the and left very satisfied. Great mango ice cream too

Martin F.

Yelp
We went there for the weekend lunch buffet. The three of us tried a little bit of almost everything and we enjoyed every bite. They have tandoori chicken, chicken, vegetable and goat curries, fruit salad in a mango sauce, naan, chai tea, rice pudding amongst the choices. Service was great and very attentive. Price seemed affordable. We'll be going back, hope to see you there!

Courtney M.

Yelp
It was neither the worst nor best Indian food I've had. It certainly satisfied the craving and their portions were quite large so I was able to eat it for lunch and dinner. This was a DoorDash order, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance, but it's worth a try.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Wow! I'm surprised this place doesn't have better ratings. The establishment appears like a hole in the wall, but it has an endearing vibe. The servers were attentive to us and checked on us while we were eating. Food had great taste and spice. Naan was nice and fluffy. The thali came with a dessert which I chose the mango ice cream. When it came, it looked underwhelming because it was just a small sauce container, but boy did it deliver! The ice cream was mild in sweetness, but had great floral taste and was well balanced with the nuts and spices. I can't wait to come back to try the buffet on another day!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Came here to try Indian food. Decent place for Vancouver. There's both northern and southern Indian food options here which is nice. We got a chicken biriyani thali plate, saag paneer thali plate, masala dosa and mango lassi. The thali plates come with a variety of sides such as lentils, a soup, a yogurt like dipping sauce and naan bread. It also comes with dessert once you are done with your meal. We got a rice pudding and mango ice cream. The dosa was a bit thick for me, I'm used to a paper thin dosa with the filling. The masala filling had potatoes and chilies in it. Pretty good. Definitely spicy. The chicken biriyani was good, good amount of rice and chicken. There was a curry sauce to put on top too. The saag paneer was too sweet for me. Generally, I've had it where it more savory with spinach and paneer (cheese). The lentils from the thali plate were delicious as well as the veggies they had for the day. There was also a soup and a side of a white sauce that was like yogurt, a little tart. The mango lassi was okay, didn't feel like a fresh one I've had before. Naan bread was good and fresh. Overall, service was good and food is decent. Lots of families were eating dinner here when I came and they are busy. The servers are nice and helpful. It can get a bit louder since families are also eating here. There's a good amount of parking.

Yelp
I've been really sick the last couple of weeks and was super congested not being able to fully enjoy the taste of food. So the minute I was able to finally smell and taste I talked my family into getting something spicy. lol this place was so good! I got chicken vindaloo and then we shared a lot of items. It had a decent spice level. I love hot food. This definitely has a kick. It was welcome. I would absolutely order it again. The only thing that I will say is the chicken was super over cooked. I suspect they cook it first and then add it to the vegetarian vindaloo sauce. I wish it was less dry. Dark meat chicken should be tender and juicy. The flavor was there so I "suffered." It was still excellent and delicious. Also the bindi was very good too. That's a favorite family dish. Next time I'll try the aloo gobi. It's my favorite as well. I can't wait to try other items. I will say it does seem kind of expensive for two people it was about $80 via DoorDash. But recovering from a cold and not leaving the house was worth it. I'll definitely order again. I do recommend it.

Yelp
Abhiruchi Indian Cuisine is a true standout in the area, earning its well-deserved five stars. When it comes to Indian food, they take the crown. The flavors, the spices, it's all on point. You can tell they've mastered the art of Indian cuisine. However, a word of advice - while the food is exceptional, it's best enjoyed through takeout. Abhiruchi Indian Cuisine is clearly optimized for takeout orders, and the dine-in experience might not be as cozy or efficient. So, if you're after some of the best Indian flavors in the area, don't hesitate to place your takeout order. It's where Abhiruchi truly shines.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Is it weird to review a place we didn't eat yet? We recently stayed at the motel next door and the food smells just AMAZING. We saw that it gets so packed for lunch so we asked someone about the food. Told us their food and staff is great. It's on our list to visit soon so I'll come back to update and give more stars!

Deepika M.

Yelp
Superb food. You won't hear me say that often about Indian food as my discern there may be a wee bit more, but everything here was great. We did saag paneer as a thali, it came with lauki chana dal, rajma, sambar, papad, sweet. Saag paneer itself was amazing - great balance of spices. So was everything else - the rajma and the vermicelli sabudana kheer. And that lauki chana dal just hit the spot. Exactly what I was craving for, didn't know I'll get it and still got it. Medu vada tasted good even though it was cold-ish by the time we got to our food. Idli was soft. Chutney was amazing - the peanut one. The red (tomato onion) was a bit tart. Brilliant food, recommend. -thevegetarianvoyager (follow on Instagram)

Yelp
we love this place! we always get the chicken tikka masala Thali dinner and it is more than enough food. the weekend lunch buffets are great too! they are always very nice too.

Kathy O.

Yelp
Came here for the weekend lunch buffet special. It has been a while since I went to an Indian restaurant, and it was the first I tried in the area. I really enjoyed trying everything available and it was a great deal. I liked just about every option. You can take a little bit of every dish and then go back for seconds of your favorite dishes. The butter chicken was a winner for me. The naan was excellent as well. I was actually a fan of most of the dishes. They also have a fruit bar, which I did not utilize, as well as sauces, which I also did not use as I already like to the flavor profiles of the dishes I got. They also have a few dessert options, and some chai nestled in the corner. You cannot go wrong choosing the spot. When we did drive into the parking lot we did notice some people loitering on one side of the building, but we just parked further away and closer to the entrance.

Kal C.

Yelp
For a lunch buffet, sure. Ordering takeout? No. The up-charge for "large" puts you at a small. For how much we paid & what was inferred from "large," our portions were so small. In addition, the chicken in the chicken makhani was very meh. Cubed chicken breast thrown in after the fact. However, the chutney and samosas were some of the best I've had. That's worth an entire star on its own. Eat here for lunch, do not order takeout.

Elyse S.

Yelp
My husband and I love ordering takeout from Abhiruchi Indian Cuisine South and North. We haven't yet dined in, as the dining area isn't too welcoming. After eating their dishes, though, we're always left feeling satisfied, happy, and to be honest, a bit spoiled that we have such delicious Indian cuisine near us in Vancouver, WA.

Marvello V.

Yelp
Tasty masala dosa. It's a treat to have this local cuisine. And the customer service was very attentive. Thank you!

Carly S.

Yelp
DELICIOUSSSSS. Amazing food with the Thali sampler. Loved trying all the different dishes. The service was very friendly and great! It's a little "hole in the wall" Indian spot that I would come to time and time again if I lived in Vancouver, WA.

Cassidy N.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious! I hadn't been here since I was a kid and ever since, I have not had Indian food. I am so glad that I came back here to try Indian food once again and I am so glad I did. I came here with my boyfriend to grab some dinner. An employee had explained to us what was on our plate which I still can't remember what the other curries are called but everything was yummy. I was very pleased that they took the time to explain it to us. My boyfriend got the Sheikh Kabab Thali which he devoured. I got the Butter Chicken Thali which was so good on a rainy day. We got the Vegetable Samosa which came with a brown tamarind sauce and a refreshing green sauce. The tamarind sauce and the Samosa was so good. We had a lot of food left over which I can't be mad about. I saw on the menu that there was garlic naan which I definitely need to come back here and try. The Thali came with dessert too so we got to try the Gulab Jamun which were there 2 brown sweet doughy balls covered in syrup. It was nice and hot and it reminded me of a donut. The other dessert we got was the Mango Kulfi. I personally liked that one better that the Gulab Jamun. It's a mango ice cream with light nuts on top. I had such a good experience here that I decided to come back again in the same week to go to the buffet. The buffets are from Friday-Sunday starting at 11:30am-2:30pm and they have a variety of food. This was such a good opportunity for me to try even more Indian food. Again, I do not remember anything that I tried besides the desserts but I tried almost every curry and this place does not disappoint! I tried Kheer which is a dessert. It has a kick of ginger and it's a milky texture. The taste really reminds me of another Vietnamese dessert that I really enjoy. The Mango Fruit Salad was pleasantly good as well. I tried Pakora for the first time which is fried veggies is something I could just keep munching on. I was very impressed how everything tasted because buffets can be a hit or miss. I will be coming back here again!

Tayler S.

Yelp
This place is really cool. You can tell it's some real deal Indian food once you sit and sip your beer waiting for your to go order. They care 100%, and from my experience the food has been top notch. Have tried the Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka thus far, Korma was FANTASTIC, tikka was good just more on the sweet saucy side. No complaints! If you are an Indian food enthusiast then you understand how variable it can be restaurant to restaurant. This place will leave you satisfied.

Allison H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. My partner and I ordered the Lamb Samosas, Paneer Tikki Masala Thali, and Goat Curry (a la carte). Thali was big enough for us to share and was delicious. It even came with mango ice cream that was the perfect finish for the meal! The service was quick and friendly. The interior isn't the fanciest interior I've seen, but honestly I don't care because we came there for the food, and the food delivered. After tax and tip the bill was $55, which is very reasonable for dinner for two. We will definitely be back!

James M.

Yelp
Excellent Indian with a large and diverse menu. Worth trying something new when you visit! The thali lunch has nice variety and is a lot of food for the price.

Miles M.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! This place is amazing. The food was all very very good. You get a ton of food for the price. Very family friendly. We will be back here for sure, wow. Delicious from start to finish. Great, friendly service too.

Michael P.

Yelp
Update: my wife and I have visited twice again since our first visit as we wanted to give them a chance with all the other good reviews. Both times I had the chicken kurma meal (spicy) and it was really delicious! This is now our go to spot for Indian and think we must have caught them on a bad day the first time. I will say the service could still use a lot of improvement. Both times we were a few of the only people in the restaurant and it seemed like it took a long time for anyone to come check on our table.

Hilary G.

Yelp
We moved to the area a little.over a year ago, having left behind a top tier Indian restaurant. I wasn't sure we'd find a suitable replacement. I was wrong. A year later and at least 10 take out meals later and Abhiruchi is a favorite. Better than what we left behind. Simply fantastic food. Favorites include the Samosas (the lamb is a little on the spicy side, but so flavorful) and the Tikka Masala. Only food we've had and not been impressed with - the dosa doesn't seem to travel well for takeout and might be great for dine in and the butter chicken is a bit sweet (which is why we prefer the tikka). Great service and they check your bag to ensure your order is correct before you take it home.

Helen S.

Yelp
The food is excellent, I had chicken Marsala, and my son had goat curry. The rice was so airy and light, the sauces delicious. Generous servings so we had dinner to take home. Oh, the garlic Nan is a must order. We will go back for sure, Indian could be more satisfying than Thai.

Misty C.

Yelp
This place is a gem. I love all of the South Indian dishes they offer. Definitely get the Dosa. The service is fast and courteous. In my opinion this is your best option outside of Beaverton for good well seasoned, as in not bland, Indian food.

Andrew And Donna G.

Yelp
Spectacular Tandoori Mixed Grill, Chicken Korma, Saag Paneer, and Indian Beer. We always enjoy dining in at Abhiruchi. Service is friendly. Great menu, generous portions, and splendid flavors combine for a pleasurable dining experience. Wide selection of Indian beer. Sincerely, Andrew & Donna Gregg.

Amy Z.

Yelp
We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken curry takeout from this spot and got the garlic naan. They were all really tasty, I especially loved the chicken tikka masala, creamy, tomato, and just the right about of light spicy. The chicken curry was a little too spicy for us but there wasn't an option to adjust the level of spicy. The garlic naan is soo good. Prices were good too so definitely coming back.

BJ S.

Yelp
Seriously the BEST INDIAN CUISINE in The Couve ...and the best I've had since living in NYC. We order delivery and everything arrives hot securely wrapped, and packed with care. The Lamb Smosas - out of this world ! That's a good place to start but you won't want to stop there as everything I've had from Abhiruchi is a mouth-watering delight

Ms. N.

Yelp
We love this restaurant and don't get to frequent it enough. The people are friendly, the food is fantastic and there are so many incredible gluten free options. I placed a to go order on the phone and the gentleman helping me was kind, patient and very considerate of my gluten free needs even though it was during their weekend dinner rush. When I picked up my order, it was beautifully packaged and everything seemed to be done with quality and care. My husband and I agree that this is one of our favorite foods in Vancouver!

Kelly J.

Yelp
Everything here was delicious and the service was amazing. I've been to India several times and everything here tasted authentic. Highly recommend their tikka masala l!

Krystyna T.

Yelp
I've had a rough week... okay, I've had a rough month.... *cough *year* *cough... I've been craving Indian food and have ordered from a few local places and just didn't feel satisfied. I swear I feel like my mom herself cooked this meal for me from Abhiruchi. I ordered for delivery and for the first time in my life it felt like a hug was delivered to my front door. SO TASTY, SO ACCOMMODATING, HIGH QUALITY. I am actually in awe... I needed this tonight.. to all of you at Abhiruchi, know you made a difference for someone who needed it. Thank you.

R H.

Yelp
Deee liscious! I had the chili chicken (see photo) with a bunch of stuff I can't pronounce. Everything was quite good. I'll definitely be back.

TIna L.

Yelp
Very nice service. Bathroom was relatively clean. I wasn't super impressed with the taste of the food, but the service was friendly enough that I would come back again. The restaurant looks like it is run by a husband and wife. We went through so much water that they left us a pitcher of water and I really appreciated that. The serving sizes were generous. We got a size large butter chicken and it was big enough to serve two people. The meal came with dessert but we were so full, we couldn't.

Mark B.

Yelp
Almost all of the dishes were extremely flavorful and well balanced flavors to boot. Selection was small, but I was ok with that, as I felt they focused more on quality of quantity. The Tandoori Chicken was extremely dry and way overcooked and the butter chicken was a tad lacking in spice, however, everything else was exquisite. Went around noon on a Sunday and it wasn't overly packed, as I had anticipated. Service isn't the most friendly, but wasn't overtly rude either.

Bruce W.

Yelp
Haven't been here since the scamdemic started but prefer the buffet which had been discontinued. My wife & I went today after finding out there's a buffet on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Great food , the workers were friendly and attentive, the place is great for a off the main drag lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Devon P.

Yelp
We have had no luck finding good Indian food around here! Our lunch here was off to a delicious start with some amazing veggie samosas, but it went downhill from there. I had the chicken makhani (butter chicken) Thali dinner plate and I'm sorry to say it was the worst butter chicken (if you can call it that) I've ever tasted, and that includes dishes I've cooked at home! Not sure if there was some kind of mistake but it quite literally tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with some heavy cream thrown in, no curry/spices whatsoever. My husband had the chicken kurma which was much better, but still not amazing. We did like the sides it came with (see menu pic for full names) and it was a fun experience trying everything, but when the main dish is that bad, it really ruins the meal. On to try the next Indian food restaurant...

Timothy L.

Yelp
My new favorite place for Indian cuisine when I come down to visit family. I ordered the butter chicken (chicken murkhani) and the garlic naan. The butter chicken is pretty sweet and has an addicting flavor. Also the prices are on the lower side compared to other Indian places I have been to in the past so that is also another plus!

Nick P.

Yelp
Dine in or take out. I keep coming back for more. Food always makes me happy and full. The service is always thoughtful and kind. I am always surprised how busy they can be and still have no wait times. If you have not already tried Abhiruchi, you are missing out.

Harry N.

Yelp
First off, going to preface this review with this. I'm not a food snob for those that might think I am. However if you've lived in So Cal , Arizona or Texas and you've gone to a South Indian or Indian buffet. You have had some great Indian food at some great buffets. Because that has been my experience having eaten at south Indian buffets in Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Diego. The buffets down there were large and offered so much options to choose from; and so many different Indian buffets that they are foodie happy places. For some reason the Portland and Vancouver area do not have all those type of wonderful Indian buffets. But we have, Abhiruchi ! Although smaller then the above mentioned buffets for what it offers it's very good.. I'm only speaking of the buffet as I've not ordered off the menu. And up until about two months ago the buffet was not even an option. Covid put an end to Abhiruchi's buffet. Now it's back and it's hitting all the spicy, savory and a touch of sweet spots in in my vegan palate. They are not exclusively vegan; but do offer seems like always at least 6 or 7 vegan options on the buffet, salad and theirs at least one vegan chutney and a pickled mash with dried red chillis in it that is wonderful and a bit salty but because it's got the chilli peppers it makes it very enjoyable. The buffet is no longer every day like prior to the covid pandemic. Now they only offer buffet on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I'm hoping that they will begin to have the buffet every day that would be nice. As for ambience it feels old school like the building hasn't been updated in some time. The tables and all that's in their is very clean they do a great job of keeping every thing clean and impeccable. Give these guys a try especially the buffet; you'll be pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food is. It's not a very large place so I wouldn't take a huge crowd there. If I had a foodie wish list l'm betting it would be that their were more Indian Buffets like Abhiruchi in Vancouver.

Travis N.

Yelp
Vegetable Samosa was very good. Great texture and flavor without being too oily. RAVA MASALA DOSA - Super fun! Our first time sampling dosa. Eager to return to try other variations. Even though this flavor was not our favorite, the quality was high. SAAG PANEER - Some of the best we have ever had. House made cheese, fresh vegitables, HOME RUN! Would return just for this dish. GARLIC NAN - Although it was house made... it was not good. Rather doughy and the topings were a miss. We did to go order but service was exceptional. Would happily return to explore more of the menu and see if we can find more home run's like the Saag Paneer.
