The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, September 2023 | Eater NY

"I stopped by Abiko Curry in Palisades Park and enjoyed the ordering adventure across multiple menus; I chose the lotus kakiage tempura soba ($16) and loved the super-savory broth, the crisp-and-smooth texture contrast, and the dainty ice cubes along the rim of the bowl. The spot is super-minimalist—black walls with yellow lettering, shelves of action figures, and cartoons on TV—making it a great Monday-night dinner option." - Eater Staff

Not only the way they greet customers sucks but also the food quality. I just found rotten cabbage from their ttoekbokki. No wonder why my stomach hurt immediately I had food from here. I went to the store after I got a message that my food was ready. There was no customer that the owner was serving at the moment(it was not busy I meant), but she was on the phone. No hi, no how can I help you, no hold on, no nothing!! She just looked at me for a while, and finally walked up to me to say hold on. Long story short - she brought food and didn’t say thank you for waiting or so. What kind of food service is that? Also, their fried set was NOT GOOD AT ALL. Waste of money! DO NOT EAT at this disgusting place!

Celebrated my brother- in- law's job acceptance tonight. He wanted- to eat here because a few times we have had it through calling and picking up the order. I had Vegetable curry with rice. Curry was flavorful. The vegetables were mixed in it too. Restaurant was relaxing, decor was clean and simple. Our waitress was friendly and came over frequently to add water. All payments are accepted.

The curry was good but there was not enough beef. Wish there was more since the rice was finished before the curry. Slightly expensive. The lights were off with nobody except the waiter and some cooking noises in the back, but to be fair i went around 5pm not a busy time, and they were blasting the ac

The curry house comes with a parking lot in the back. It's nice inside, but they kept all the unnecessary stuff in the dining area. Things are getting old here. Services were good. The curry was delicious here and we always added chicken cutlets to our order. Level 3 spicy level is super hot already, be alerted!

Abiko Curry in Palisades Park offers a delightful curry experience that's worth savoring. What We Loved: Curry x Meat: The beef curry (ordered with mild spice), even with "a little bit of spice," delivered a pleasant warmth without being overwhelming. It was rich and decadent, especially as you finish each drop. Fried side dishes: The side dishes were a highlight! The fried seaweed wrapped noodles, fried pork cutlet, and fried chicken were all perfectly cooked – crispy and flavorful without being greasy. Attentive Service: The servers were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Ambiance: The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, perfect for a casual Friday night dinner. Points to Note: Saltiness: Some of the dishes tend to be on the saltier side, so be prepared to balance it out with plenty of rice. Overall: Abiko Curry is a great place to satisfy your curry cravings. The flavorful curry, delicious side dishes, and attentive service make it a worthwhile visit. Just remember to pace yourself with the saltiness and enjoy the richness of the curry.

My first time eating authentic Japanese curry and this place did not disappoint. Our server was so sweet & welcoming. & even the lady that prepared the food came out to ask how it was. I got the chicken cutlet, added shrimp, 10/10! Make sure to get level 2 spice if you are a fan of spice but not too unbearable. I could tell it was made with love. It was perfect.

Was disappointed with the quality of the yupdduk :( The rice cake was very mushy and the overall taste was not good, despite it being about $38 through ubereats
