Google
The triple threat, food, service, and atmosphere. I can't find anything negative about the pub. The food is straight FIYA, and I've never had a bad item thus far. I've been 5 times now across the past 3 years, and it's been consistent every time. Cool layout, outdoor patio, located across from the Saturday morning farmers market, bike trail runs along the side of the patio, and the staff is friendly and courteous. You have to try the Crawfish Mac-N-Cheese. Just go by and enjoy

We showed up on a rainy Saturday morning, to no wait and a wonderful seat at the bar. I had a flight of different habita beers while we ate gumbo and a muffaletta. Every bit of the experience was amazing.

08-17-2025 Everything was on point as usual. The special was a soft shell crab sandwich and it came out quick and hot! Great service and great food. I'm usually here once a week and it rarely disappoints. 04-27-2025 The great music here matches the great food and atmosphere. While the reuben is still my current favorite, I had the wings last night for the first time. The service was great, and the "Party on the Patio" event was outstanding and such a good time. Love this place! 03-28-2025 Came in around 8pm and the music was awesome. Decided to sit outside and ordered the Reuben... added bacon, which made all the difference. Great service and great food again. 10-4-2024 Seated immediately near the music... but the wait developed a short time after. Went with the Blackened Redfish special tonight. In the past, I was an avid fisherman and always felt disappointed when a fake fish was passed off as being Redfish... but this meal was exactly as it should be. Might be my new favorite... if I wasn't so stuffed from it! Definitely filling. Service was impeccable. 9-14-2024 Been several times since the last update and have had zero issues. Had the Chicken Abitafeller... a play on the cream spinach part of the dish. It was incredible. Adding photos from recent visits. 6-1-2024 After a bad burger experience, I decided to switch back from the poboys to the burgers... yes, I did comment about my past undercooked patty. Still, I only had an issue here once. When I arrived I was seated immediately on a busy night, probably since I requested to be near the great live music. Ordered onions rings and delayed the burger order to enjoy the music... had a great time, and while the waitress rushed the bill... I was there much longer than most, and I'm sure her shift was ending. Solid experience as usual. 3-17-2023 This has become my usual Friday spot. Good music, good food... and mostly good service. Changed it up tonight for Lent and had the combination catfish and shrimp poboy... added Swiss and onions. It did not disappoint! They probably want me to leave, as I often dine here alone to hear the music... but so far, I've never felt rushed regardless of the waitlist and wait time. 2-4-23 Been a few times again and tried the Reuben sandwich... while it was great, went back to my Gouda Burger with added bacon. I also added avocado... and I believe I have my go-to Abita Brew Pub order. When the music is right... there's no better place to be! 1-7-2023 Back again... and tried the Gouda burger again... just to be sure it wasn't a fluke... added bacon, and it did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly to my order. On other visits, I had the seafood plate and the stuffed boudin quail. Everything is great here! 12-3-2022 Always great music and I'm surprised how few people recognize the talent that plays here. Got the Gouda burger tonight, and while I've had burgers here before... this one was the best so far. Not so much due to the gouda... but more to the fact that it was cooked perfectly! A burger should stand out due to the actual burger patty... and this time it did! Great job! 9-2-2022 Came for the music but had a great dinner. Decided on the fish tacos after the bartender's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Clean refreshing flavor with crunchy slaw and crispy blackened Mahi Mahi. Oh... the music was top notch too! Previously... Stopped in for some music and a killer burger, but the music apparently didn't show up. Still had the actual Killer Burger and it was pretty good. Not cooked medium as ordered but still tasty. Service was super friendly and can't wait to go back... I'll just call first to confirm the music is actually playing! (Technically not their fault.)

Unfortunately although I thought my food was delicious, my other family members did not. And that might have been over looked if our service was good but it seemed that everyone was too worried about the event they were having on the patio. We had to track down our waiter to get boxes and a check after being done with our meal for at least 10mins, which he saw in passing. Then to add to it, the credit card machine starts at a 20% tip, since when is that a starting point. I tip generously (up to 100%) if it was good service, food and atmosphere but there was no way it was worth 20% this time.

These gyros rule!! And don't sleep on the calamari!! So good!! It's our family's go-to spot for gyros on that side of the pond!! Love that joint!!

We very much enjoyed our visit here, we stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon for a drink and a snack. It’s right next to the bike path and had a very friendly vibe. It had a great community feel with both indoor and outdoor seating. Our young waitress was friendly. They pipe music outside at an appropriate volume so it’s a nice place to be able to chat. We would make this a regular stop if we lived in the area!

Google
We were regulars, first name basis regulars, when we moved to AB over 20 years ago. Still love it. We are a one trick pony and get the various burgers most times but overall the food is great. Beer is fresh and always something new to try.

Google
Nice atmosphere! Free electric car charging (we rented a Tesla). The Greek salad ($12) and Catfish Étouffée ($18) were excellent. Abita beer! Reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Thanks!

Yelp
Great atmosphere, service and beer. It's a staple go-to when you want local food and have a good time. I really enjoy the setup and restaurant's decors. I think the food is just passing. My Catfish Étouffée was super salty and I could not finish it. The platter was just a regular fried food plate, nothing stood out really. They need an improvement on the food. I learned from the brewery tour that the restaurant is not affiliated with the company but they carry the beer. The beer was as good as always. I would go back for any social events but not the food.

Yelp
Seems like the folks here don't like their jobs. We walked in. It took a while for anyone to even say hello to us. And that didn't happen until we walked up to the bartender who then let us know that we had to go outside and be seated a hostess. Young girl that took our order did not seem very happy at all. Kind of makes your dining experience less than pleasurable. On the bright side, we ride our bikes from old Mandeville to Abita on the Natchez Trace trail on an absolutely beautiful day. It had been many years since I've been there, and I don't recall it being any different back then other than the friend that I was with knew the owner. It's a cute little place. Hopefully this will change.

Yelp
Back in 2020 I had a chance to come to the Abita BrewPub before covid was really a nightmare. Chas, Val, and I had some flights here and they weren't doing tours that day unfortunately but we did get to play some games and drinks our drinks inside. I had been drinking purple haze for years in bars all around the country but I hadn't had a chance to try too many other Abita offerings until this day so grabbing the flights made perfect sense. The bartenders were knowledgeable and helpful and we made our choices fairly painlessly. It's a cool spot with plenty of seating, bar games, merch for sale, etc. I'd like to go back sometime now that covid is a thing of the past and see how different it would be now.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
games and fun! giant tvs! awesome menu!!! We really loved the seafood dishes here. So nice that it connects to the main walking trail that goes all the way through the town and to the brewery. The vibes were very peaceful and playing games while waiting for food made it fun. The wait times for food were a bit long considering how few people were there when we went but nothing crazy.

Yelp
Went for lunch with my daughter. She ordered a cup of gumbo and loved it. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was a little to pepper for me. She loved the shrimp poboy. The spicy mayo was very good. It made the poboy delicious. I really liked the honey shrimp wrap which was a lunch special for that day. Can't beat a good lunch special. We order both and split. So we got to try both things. The service was really fast and our waiter was awesome. We sat on the patio which was a nice touch. The heaters were on so we were nice and warm outside on this chilly day. We really enjoyed our lunch! Will be back to try something else.

Yelp
What can I say? They have the best beer around and great music weekends and the food is well. It's OK. They really need a chef. I mean a real chef then Abita could boast it is the best place on the North Shore.

Dan Z.

Yelp
My last review of this restaurant was not favorable at all. However, this time the food was great! I had blackened shrimp and avocado salad and my friend had the eggplant napoleon. Both meals were delicious! We ate at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and so very pleasant. My friends and I joke around quite a bit and they joined right in. Great place to watch sports and or hear live music. Excellent experience!

Yelp
This is an annual stop for our family as we leave NOLA and head back to Texas. We love this place and the town. The food has always been good! We had the cheese curds, seafood bucket, catfish etouffee, Bing pasta, catfish plate, and shrimp Agnes. As usual the food was. Delicious! Our service was amazing!!! Never needed to ask for refills and she checked on us often. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is we miss the fried oysters.

Angela D.

Yelp
First visit here and had a great experience. Burger and club sandwich were good. The service alone was more than we could ask for. Our server Blake was extremely attentive and accommodating. He was very friendly and just made the dinner experience a nice one for us. It is a unique restaurant and has a lot to look at on the inside as well as the outside. We will be back.

Yelp
We arrived 7pm on a Friday night. We were greeted immediately by a friendly host who had us seated within a few minutes at our requested area , outside. This is where the live music is performed. I thought the outdoor area would be too warm but they had fans going and sitting at the table was comfortable. We ordered iced tea which was served in very large clear plastic tumblers. I want to guess they were at least 24 oz The service was quick and friendly. We got the wrong appetizer Ordered Mac n cheese with crawfish but got fried pickles. We were so surprised at how tasty the fried pickles were. Actually preferred them over the Mac n cheese. We ordered the soft shell crab over linguini and crawfish. It was good, a lot of food. The two piece band played hank Williams and folksy type tunes.
google avatar

Yelp
First time coming here and was very happy of the choices made. We chose to sit outside where there was live music. Definitely sets the mood of the beautiful area. Patio overlooks the triangle intersection of this cute area. Service was good with no real issues or waiting. Food was very good as well and will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Yelp
The Chicken Fried Chicken Special was awesome. Compliments to the chef! Great staff as usual, fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Great place to have a bite to eat after the brewery tour! The food is really good. Nice variety of lunch options.

Yelp
Always. A. Fave. Karen - and Hailey- are the best bartenders! Fast service- ask for Melanie! The food--- something for everyone! My personal faves: burgers, chicken sandwiches, tortilla soup, catfish, hummus, pub pretzel, spinach dip, crawfish cornbread, Caesar salad with shrimp or chicken, beef short ribs, chicken Nara (light), OH SO MUCH!!! Just a fabulous hangout, relaxed, good vibes. My photos are just a couple of great items! Plus they give back to the community!

Yelp
Beautiful day today and my wife and I visited the Abita Brew Pub patio for lunch. Had a tasty lunch, a couple of good brews, and enjoyed the casual ambiance and excellent service as usual.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch with my husband and dad on a Wednesday. Was able to immediately be seated. The hostess was very friendly and let us choose our seat. They were reasonably busy for a Wednesday. Our orders: Boudin egg rolls: So good. Excellent boudin and the egg roll paper was nice and crispy. The sauce has just the right amount of spice. Muffuletta with potato salad: Dad said the muffuletta was good and he enjoyed the potato salad. (Man of few words) Roast beef poboy with fries: Husband said the roast beef poboy was good. He expected a bit more gravy but that's just a preference thing. The flavor was fabulous. He enjoyed the fries--clumps & all...he said they were tasty. Combo shrimp/catfish poboy with fries: The catfish was delicious. It was light and flaky with a nice batter. The shrimp were tasty however there was only one nice sized butterflied shrimp, the others were very small or partial shrimps. One side of the poboy had catfish only and the other side had a piece of catfish and the shrimp. Not liking that we received a 50 cent charge for tartar sauce. My sandwich didn't have any on one side and the tiniest amount on the other. Wouldn't have needed extra if the appropriate amount was already on my poboy. The bread was crispy on outside and soft inside...just like a poboy bread should be. The fries were in clumps. I'm guessing they didn't separate frozen fries before they went in the oil. The fries were not hot but other food was at the appropriate temperature. So overall, the food was great in flavor...just a lack of consistency in execution on the combo poboy plate. I really wanted to have bread pudding for dessert but it has raisins. That's a hard pass. Warm raisins are like snot-pockets. Not gonna do it.

Yelp
Amazing service last night for the college football games. Darla and Sarah are great waitresses and make the dining experience more memorable. The beer and food is always fantastic. Will be back again and again!

Yelp
One of my favorite stops when in the area! Beers are always good, service is great and the calamari is perfect. Great atmospheres! If the have the Blueberry Wheat...get it!
google avatar

Glenn M.

Yelp
Nice restaurant on the bike trail. Several Abita brews on tap. Food is very good. I had a combination poboy that had good fish and shrimp on it. Very nice outdoor dining area.

Yelp
That sauce the crab claws come in...oh my! Just give ma bowl of that with a loaf of bread! So glad our server told me where to find the recipe on the wall inside the restaurant! Haven't been here since they opened (yes, 30 years ago), and I have to say I can't wait 30 more years to come back. We hit the brewery on the way here and got some Creamsicle IPA canned and brought it inside with us. Even the server says "I know where ya'll have been!" Fantastic service (can't remember her name, but she was a redhead), excellent food, and such a great ambiance about the place. We sat on the patio and just relaxed for a while, drinking good beer and eating good food. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat before attending the monthly Abita Opry, and friends suggested the Abita Brew Pub. It was close so we gave it a try. There was indoor and patio seating available. We were glad we got there early because it got crowded fast. Our waiter was very efficient and patient with our review of the extensive menu. I had the fried shrimp which came decorating a mound of mash potatoes with roasted veggies in the side. My husband had a blackened shrimp and avocado salad. Both were large portions, but delicious. We will go back!!!

Eric F.

Yelp
Delicious food! My wife and visited tonight for our anniversary and our waiter made sure to take care of us. My wife got the boudin stuffed quail and I got the catfish etouffee. Both were wonderful and the portion sizes were worth the cost.

Marylou D.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was excellent. We were a party of 9. The server did a fantastic job. Sorry I forgot her name.

Yelp
I love this place, the food is good the staff is amazing. unfortunately today I saw the owner berate a young lady that works for him in a manner no man should ever speak to someone else's child and it wasn't once it a couple of times. The young lady Kenzie was professional and handled it with class. I was honestly disgusted with the owners behavior. The community trusts you with our kids while working. Edit: context does matter I was there for 3 hours and watched you treat someone's child like crap. Anthony you are an adult. Your attitude toward her was not acceptable under any context. That was a child you are an adult

Yelp
Abita Brew Pub was a great find after a visit to the Abita Mystery House - in fact, it's within walking distance. We sat outside (because COVID) and enjoyed a bite to eat and a couple wonderful beers each. The patio is lovely and dog-friendly, with seating both shaded and sunny, and yard games too. Other patrons seemed to have drifted over from a nearby park and trailhead. "The Boot" is sold only in Louisiana, so that one's a must if you're just passing through. Every beer we tried was enjoyable, and seemed perfect on a warm, sunny day. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Fun place with great beers and a gift shop. Plenty of hats shirts and other items. Check out their website in case they're closed for a private event.

Brenda B.

Yelp
We eat here frequently as close to home. We have always enjoyed their good service by a variety of servers. We have tried several dishes here and all have been excellent, with a good burger and great fried chicken salad. The salads are huge so I always ask for box when I order so I can save 1/2 without dressing to keep fresh! Prices are average for the area, but portions are large....always have leftovers. If you are a beer drinker, try their flight of various blends that you choose. The bar area is always full and lively with conversation. There are several TVs so no need to miss a game. There is also a good selection of logo shirts and other items for sale.

Yelp
Came back for burgers and more Nice staff, great vibes..good food! I had the chicken abitafeller...the creamed spinach was so good and the shrimps too. The burger was really really good.

Yelp
We eat here often and have never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious and the service is good. They have a great atmosphere with live music often.

Bobbie B.

Yelp
We stopped here on a Friday evening after spending the afternoon at the Abita Brewery during a birthday weekend getaway from New Orleans. The atmosphere is welcoming and homey without feeling cramped or crowded - even when they are at full capacity. We were quoted a 20-minute wait but received our text alert much faster than that and were seated inside. We started with the fried pickles and the Andygator Cake. Coming from New Orleans, I was expecting single serving portions for double serving prices, but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food that came out. Both apps were EXCELLENT. I was especially impressed with the batter and perfect crispiness of any and all fried items we had. Often deep fried battered food is too heavy and greasy for me, but not here. The crunch and flavor of the batter was so good, especially on the tomatoes that came with the Andygator cake, and no greasy feeling on my fingers. My entree was the Abita Boudin Quail. It was so good. Like so so good. Even leftover the next morning. We enjoyed the place so much we came back the next night instead of trying a different place to eat. We had different apps and entrees, all delicious. I will say the pub pretzels themselves were only okay as far as soft pretzels go, but the cheese that came with them was so good it didn't matter. We took dessert to go so I can't comment on that yet But the BEST part of both our meals here was the service. Our first night we had Jake and our second night we had Mandy. Both of them provided excellent, attentive, prompt service. I never felt like I had to wait to catch their attention, but I also never felt rushed. Perfect balance - and they were both a lot of fun and put up with my silly jokey nonsense all evening. Thank you Jake and Mandy!!!! Oh and I ALMOST FORGOT THE BEST PART - get the PB & Jams beer. You won't regret it! And the outdoor live music by Brittany and Anthony was the icing on the Andygator cake :D

J T.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten at the Brew Pub a few times. The food is tasty and there is a wide selection of draft beer. During our most recent visit I ordered the pasta creole which did not have very much meat at all. I would prefer a restaurant charge me a few dollars extra and give me enough protein to be filling and satisfied at dinner.

Lara C.

Yelp
We had the best time stopping here!! Get a growler of your favorites!! We loved them allllllll!!
google avatar

Teri L.

Yelp
Traveling & gots to stop into Abita!! Ordered me some Gumbo . Ceaser salad with grilled shrimp Hot Buffalo chicken strips & beer! Gotta do a flight or two of beer- my favorite Strawberry Lager & Alpha Gator- too bad they didn't have beer to go,but did suggest a nearby bottle shop.

Yelp
Food is always great here. Amazing chill atmosphere with a ton of local charm. Staff is always awesome and they make every visit wonderful. Only issue is parking because everyone loves this place. They have outdoor seating so they are pet friendly.
google avatar

Rodney R.

Yelp
Anytime in Louisiana we have to stop at Abita Brew Pub! Of course we all know them by making some of the best beers around but their food is exceptional! There is always a fight about best jambalaya and Cajun pasta but some of our favs are always made here at Abita. My son always goes for their tasty burgers and the rest of us always between wings, jambalaya and some other tasty seafood dish. If in the area you have to make it out to Abita!
google avatar

Scarlett E.

Yelp
Love the vibe in this place! Very quaint & cozy just like a pub should be. Super friendly staff. We were sat as soon as we walked in and our server Kane was so friendly & helpful. My husband ordered a pretzel with beer cheese to start and it was fantastic! It also will make you want to stop in every time you pass through. He even gave us an extra cheese because he knew how much we enjoyed it. Next we ordered our lunch. I'm just a burger kind of girl so nothing special here but it was cooked perfectly & very flavorful. My husband got the pecan crusted fish and he loved it. I think his words were "different, but good!". There is outdoor seating here as well as inside. We didn't have time to head over to the brewery but we will save that for another trip. A reason to stop in and get that pretzel again! This place isn't too far off the interstate so give it a try!

Yelp
Very cool pub with a (surprise, surprise) fantastic selection of Abita brews on tap. Put in an order online for pickup and it couldn't have been easier. Muffaletta, bowl of gumbo, puppies, and crawfish cornbread. Thinking about that meal now still makes my mouth water. Damn. Service was nice, but slow. Forgot my utensils in the order and gumbo wasn't extra spicy as requested - but I survived. All that fresh Abita beer was delicious. Great merch selection. Dog-friendly too - always a plus.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I stopped by Abita Brew Pub for a light lunch and beer. I tried the Big Easy IPA and it was great. I tried the gumbo and sweet potato fries and they were okay without being spectacular. The menu is expansive and everyone will be able to find something to eat. Service was a bit slow. It took a while to get refills and the staff mixed up a few drinks.

Robby M.

Yelp
Great beer, a wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food always served with a smile. I've been coming here for years and it's always good, always a good time, and always good service. I already said beer, right? Yeah, good beer.
google avatar

Diana H.

Yelp
The chicken abitafeller I got was sooo dry. Not only was the chicken overcooked, there was hardly any sauce that came along with it. The mashed potatoes that came along with the dish was good, but the chicken itself was hard to get through. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Michele B.

Yelp
It was great music at the perfect volume and we were at the table in front of the bad. Food was good. Flights of beer were fun! Our waitress Gidget was friendly and attentive.

Hannah C.

Yelp
food was AMAZING! The service, was quite the opposite... I've worked in the restaurant industry for 7 years, so I always give the benefit of the doubt, but the service here was pretty bad. From the hostess was very rude, our server was very kind but forgot to put in our food and drink order and never checked on us to see if we needed refills.

Yelp
Good Beer and really nice people ! Love the town ! I'm from Nashville and really liked this little town .

Yelp
My husband and I were so very disappointed after eating here. We only live five minutes away, and we really wanted to like it this time. The last time we ate here was years ago. Since it is so close to our home, and it always seems to have people there, we thought we'd try again to see if our experience was better. We were seated in the main dining room. The restaurant was less than half full. We waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, someone came to our table and said that our server should be coming to our table soon, and he said that he would get our drink order while we were waiting for her. Shortly after, he brought our drinks. We waited, and waited. When our server came to our table, she was friendly and took our food order. Our food came out in an appropriate amount of time. The server never came back to our table to make sure our food was okay or to ask if we needed anything else. Our drink glasses sat empty because our server never returned to our table for refills. The next time we saw her was when she brought the check. On the machine that you use to pay, the tip options were 30%, 25%, 20% and custom tip in that order. The food. What can I say about the food? It was not good! We can deal with bad service, but spending fifty bucks on food that didn't taste good was so disappointing! My husband had the special of redfish with shrimp and vegetables. When the food came, we were surprised. The small piece of blackened redfish (which did not taste blackened) was on top of a very small amount of pasta which was bland. There were a few tiny pale shrimp, Chinese shrimp (?), on top of the fish with a small amount of cream sauce, but not enough sauce to get onto the pasta. There was one small piece of cauliflower, one small piece of broccoli, a couple of little carrot slices that was about .5 cup at most. The whole dish just lacked flavor. Just embarrassing really. My husband left hungry. I had the fish tacos with Mexican corn. The corn was in a little bowl and had taco seasoning. It wasn't bad. The fish tacos, one of my favorite things to order at restaurants, were terrible. The blackened mahi mahi was dry, had no flavor and did not taste blackened. I had to put salt on my fish tacos! That's a first. The tacos only had fish and dry slaw. Oh, and a lime circle on each one. They were so dry! They did not taste good at all. Like my husband, I was incredibly disappointed. I really wish we had thought to take pictures of our food so that others could see what we saw. We will never be back again, not even years from now. We are both done. The only reason we even tried again was because of the location.

Yelp
Great brew up. Nothing super special though. This seemed like a classic, smallish brew pub. They had an indoor bar and seating, and some outdoor casual seating. We stopped by for a beer and appetizers. They fried artichoke hearts were good and unique to try. The pub pretzel was good, a classic and well done. They had a great selection of their Abita beer. We sat at the bar and service was fine. They were pretty busy on the weekend. I'd recommend if you're in the area or close by.

Yelp
Great food and great staff every time I go in. Not to mention great beer always on tap

Yelp
Great gyro and Greek salad also with a pint of Anita Amber! Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service as well! Definitely a great pit stop!

Yelp
What a unique place! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! Definitely will go there again and less than 5 miles off the interstate in Abita Springs! Do yourself a favor and try it!!!you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Really great establishment!! The place is beautiful and can handle a lot of people. The employees are so friendly and nice-they cheerfully explain all the products are happy to give out samples-and want you to like the beer here!! The purple haze is really great-come here and try it!!
