All the Essential Updates on Pythian Market | Eater New Orleans

"I read that Louisiana-based Abita is releasing a commemorative beer called 'maison blanc' for New Orleans' tricentennial; the brew is made with malted barley, wheat and sauvignon blanc grapes, and brewmaster Mark Wilson likens its taste to a mild, dry house white — the beer is reported to be in stores this week." - Eater Staff

Words cannot describe how great it is to have an Abita near me! I'll still go out to Abita Springs occasionally, but this is so convenient! They has many different beers on tap and also mixed beers for new flavors! They also sell flights in case you can't decide what you want to drink! The staff is super helpful, especially Bella. She was giving samples, explaining flavors and genuinely seems like a brand ambassador! Give that lady a raise and / or a promotion! She is definitely an asset to the brand.

Google
Great location! We loved the new flavors that you could try on tap that you cant find in stores. Beers were great and staff was friendly. Another plus, clean restrooms!

Wasn’t expecting much coming to Abita, but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was amazing, we were able to find seats as soon as we walked in and they had a phenomenal selection of beers! I had a flight and loved each beer I tried. They absolutely crushed every style. Would definitely come back here.

Google
Great selection of Abita beers. Fun outdoor space with games and TVs, kid and dog friendly. And a helpful happy staff. Cochon King food truck was excellent. Great time with beer, Giant Uno and brisket.

Google
Fun brewery! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff, and broad range of beers to pick from. Parking is less than ideal but this place is worth a stop.

Google
Great location. Nice outdoor areas. They are setting up brewing there too. They will not have to rely on kegs from Abita Northshore brewery. Outdoor TVs and e great.

Google
Big name in NOLA beer, big place, friendly staff, beer lineup was solid. Can tell it gets busy at times. Food out back looked good although we didn't have any. Solid merch lineup also, not always the case at breweries...

Google
Had a great time at the opening, the space is awesome. Tons of tvs, great indoor and outdoor space. It was busy but didn’t take long to get a beer (or a root beer!). Pet friendly as well which is a huge plus!! Highly recommend, great new neighborhood spot.

Yelp
We noticed alot of bars carry this brand of beer, so we definitely had to stop in while in the area. Love enjoying local spots while visiting. Came here for the first time, after watching a college game just up the street at Nola Brewing. Easily walkable from there on a nice day. This is another cool spot to check out a game. Some TVs at the bar and tables. Plus a pretty large patio to be able to hang with a big group. We sat at the bar, and it was easy. Service - was good, the nice gentleman with a great smile, let us try a couple tasting before deciding, which I appreciate. I forgot his name, but he was pretty good. Drink- I only wanted a little teaser, and luckily they offer a small pours as well as a pint glasses. I got the Marengose, and it was yummy. It's not listed on there website, so I'm guessing it's a seasonal or special batch brew and not there regular item. Give them a try!

Yelp
A new location of the Anita favorites that opened just under a year ago. This new location has 36 taps, food truck pop-ups, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we had a positive experience coming here and would love to come back with a big group of friends!

Yelp
Had a great time at Abita New Orleans. We happened to stop in while Frytastic was the pop up. They have some delicious burgers and fries. We want to Abita on the Northshore a few years back and I remember all the fun beers they had and this one did not disappoint. Get the flight and choose 6 fun beers. They were busy but service was still fast and friendly. The inside is nice and cool, they have a large outdoor area too that would be great on a nice day.

Yelp
Lovely spot to just kickback and have a beer. Wish they had food options. They do have a food truck rotation. Games as well! We just so happen to see people participating in a Speed Dating event

Yelp
We decided to pop in on Thursday night and during the live band. They only had beer so no food but had a pop food vendor outside. The only thing that was lowkey weird was there were kids here. Strange for a brewery/bar but okay. Didn't brother me. And also they don't have Thursday Night Football through Prime which was kind of a let down. I would like to go back on college game day and experience this place once more

Yelp
What a fabulous addition to the breweries in this area! So many choices of flavors, plentiful, clean restrooms, a lovely, grassy outdoor area with three large TV screens and furniture and twinkle lights, a huge indoor area, and a nice covered outdoor area with ceiling fans. No food served, but there was a food truck nearby.

Yelp
Abita Brewing is one of my favorite breweries in the south. They opened tap room in the city recently and I had to try it. A nice variety of beers on tap accompanied by friendly staff made a perfect combo. Very spacious modern tap room I'm sure all beer lovers will love it here just like u did!

Yelp
Had yet another great time at Abita NOLA ;0) Always fun and friendly staff, with excellent food options and, of course, ICE COLD ABITA BEERS !!! (I love their merch artwork - BUY A SHIRT ;0)

Yelp
Love this new spot! Lots of space to sit and they have 8 beers brewed at this location on tap. (They have more abita beers on tap of course.) They did this cool pint glass painting that was $10 and included a glass of beer. Super cool! Nice outdoor area but i won't check that out til it cools down some more

Yelp
Great new brewery in town! I had been to the one in Abita Springs years ago and so glad they brought one to New Orleans. The space is beautiful with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Lots of beers to choose from, but I do wish they carried some options for non beer drinkers too.

Yelp
We love the Abita Brewery on the Northshore. We were very excited to see Abita open in New Oreans! Abita on Tchoup did not disposition! Lots of Abita options on draft! Clean and open space inside to sit. A fun open patio area outside so sit. Corn Hole. Super clean bathrooms! Friendly bartenders with quick service! So excited Abita is here! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
The patio was my favorite place to be. The weather was perfect to have cold lagers under the sun. Every beer I tried away spectacular. They even make hop water which was delicious. Their staff went through the line real quick and were all kind too.

Yelp
I have been looking for Abita's oyster beer in stores for a week or two so I thought to try this bar. I was blown away with the selection here. Usually, at a beer bar like this, I feel like brewers can get pretentious with flavors. This bar was different. They had multiple flavors that should literally be on store shelves everywhere. My favorites were the Salt, their watermelon one, and the standard Belgian-tasting beer. Great, clean environment. It's definitely more of a millennial and upward bar, but I could see myself going here again in the future.

Yelp
Good beer but limited options for a non beer drinker. Not even sparkling water. Friendly staff, happy to give you tastes before you order. There was a food truck there when we visited.

Yelp
I'm from Houston , Texas man this was my favorite brewery the beer was crazy delicious!

Cajun R.

Yelp
The beer from Abita is always good. The place is such a cool location to sit and have a delicious beer, my only criticism is the beer is not that cold. It's cool but not cold. I prefer my beer ice cold, maybe if the should have frosted mugs or the kegs in a colder setting. I'm not sure why the beer isn't as cold as, in my opinion, it should be but still a solid place to get a beer.
