Food and 1st experience was great. Me and my husband shared the beignets and we both had gotten a strawberry and pina colada smoothie. My food was the cajun country sub the sweet cornbread cake for a pancake. And the husband had gotten the wild western omelet with hasbrowns and a side of grits. Only negatives about the foods were the grits needed more flavor and my husband had asked for no Jalepenos in his omelet but they had still put them in there other than that the flavor of the food was great. Only thing I didnt agree with pricing wise was the side of grits being $4 for a small little cup of grits but I get it with the price of product. I will definitely be returning for trying different things 🙂.

THE best breakfast! And coffee!! We had the sunriser and the Cajun country dishes. The sweet cream pancake was delicious!! I had a white chocolate mocha and it was probably the best one I’ve ever had. Tonya was our server and she was excellent.

Great brunch place! The Flambeaux-rito is delicious. If you love cheese this burrito is drowning in crawfish queso. Definitely worth ordering!

Always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We’ve gone a few times a month. But imagine enjoying a meal with your spouse, getting the bill, and walking away feeling swindled. Now they charge an unannounced additional 4% for non-cash pay. They hide it until you get the bill. Why? It’s greedy. Meribo and Tavi charge 3% for non-cash, and they state it on their menu. Abita Roasting? If they’re having a bad day, I guess they can just jack up the fee. Let me be clear. The problem here isn’t the fee, it’s the deception. If they are dishonest with small things, what else? The food? The ingredients? The tax? Clean up your billing and let us know, and we’ll be back. Until then, there are plenty of other places to pay a non-cash fees.

First time customer, very pleased with the friendly greeting and food was fabulous! Definitely going to be a returning customer.

My most mixed review ever. Food was incredible. Service was subpar to way the least. Took an hour and half to get our food. But the worlds best fries & biscuits. A/c was dirty and dripped into our drink but they were calling the a/c company as we left. Sounded like a promise to handle up on it. Hope that gets sorted because I emphasize the food was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This was my first visit to Abita Roasting Co. in Covington. I was very pleased with the service we received from beginning to end. The hostess was very polite & informative about our wait time for a table. Our server was incredible (Blake)! Also, our food came out quickly. We probably waited 10 minutes for it to get to the table after we had ordered (maybe 15 minutes...maybe). My only complaint is the prices. We paid a total of $50 for 2 people to eat at lunch time (including the server's tip). For me, that's a little pricey. Overall though, we had a great visit to this restaurant! It was a very pleasant experience! I will definitely go back again & I will also highly recommend this place to others! Keep up the amazing work Abita Roasting Co!

Always on the prowl for new spots, I stumbled across this place. The building looks really nice from the outside as well as the inside. I got the Cajun Praline chicken & waffles. The chicken strips were seasoned well and were very delicious. The waffles were really good and paired well with the Cajun praline syrup. Pretty laid back place with good food!!

Stopped off at Abita Roasting Co. in Covington with my wife today for lunch and enjoyed the experience. Abita Roasting Co. is near downtown and boasts a neat, contemporary venue that is both tasteful and comfortable. Table service is friendly and efficient, and the menu features great choices for breakfast (omelets, biscuits, smoothies, etc.), brunch favorites (burgers, specialty sandwiches, signature salads, fried seafood), and a wide selection of dessert items (sweet rolls, cookies, brownies, etc.). We both had the rosemary chicken salad and it was especially good. Portions are generous and prices are competitive. Abita Roasting is highly recommended.

awful awful management your wait staff is not condusive for repeat customers a party of 5 went here for late lunch Saturday May 31 2025about 2 pm; service was horrible. Took At least 45 minutes for food to be served hamburger was horrible food was cold. when we commented food is cold waitress responded how Else is it supposed to be. Condiments on table looked like were very old. waitress never can back to check after food was delivered we waited about 20 minutes after everyone finished for waitress finally check on how we were doing, we asked for check which took about another 15 minutes i asked for a to go cup for my tea and again was treated very disrespectful and i Felt as i was asking for something Out of the ordinary or unheard of we dined outside so we were thinking maybe very busy inside; when I went to restroom not a soul was dining inside. We commented to waitress that seems like she is having a bad day she said she was having good day When waitress delivered check she seemed had all the time in the world to talk to us and very friendly; we all thought she was working to get a good tip I normally tip at least 25%; for this experience I tipped 18% which I thought was extremely generous for this experience Awful awful

I'll definitely be back. Had the Philly panini and it was exceptional. The peppers and onions and the whole thing just tasted so fresh. Waitress was friendly and easy going. I didn't get a coffee since I had two already by noon. But, the coffee looked good and I'll be back next time to try it!

I cannot remember our servers name but she was absolutely amazing! We sat outside and it was so nice. The art work you could see, the band playing in the background, the fans outside. Just perfect. I didn't eat much but the others at my table did. I did get the boudin egg rolls and a slice of crawfish cornbread. So yummy.

This little place is a gem. The service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. I loved the red vinaigrette on my Grandma's salad, so yummy! I had the Cali panini, and it did not disappoint. We arrived around 11:30, right before the lunch rush, and the timing was perfect. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the neighborhood is quiet and charming. Bonus points because we were visiting someone at the hospital, and this spot wasn't too far from it. I'd definitely go back!

The coffee is delicious and they have many options... we just went for a regular black coffee and it was perfect. We ordered the bbq shrimp and grits, they were cheesy and came with pieces of bacon. It was one of the most delicious grits dishes that we've ever had. We also had the firecracker burger with 5-cheese mac and cheese on the side... we said we were not going to eat it all but it was sooooo good that we did. The bread was extremely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet but we were also the only ones on a Wednesday at 3pm. Something that we noticed is that the place is a bit dusty. They have a lot of art (canvas) that could be dusted.

We came to Abita Roasting a couple times this week. Once was for breakfast and once for lunch. Loved the atmosphere, it was always friendly and welcoming. Service was on point every time. Food was delicious. Bourbon chicken and shrimp were my favorite, so juicy, with delicious rice and sauce. Coffee was yummy and you can buy coffee beans to bring home. I recommend this place.

Ya, thanks but no. Food came out burnt and the server knew it. She even went we sent it back saying "she knew that's not how they normally severed it". I would rather wait for the food I order than to be servers BURNT and sub par food.

Ive always eaten at the other one in Madisonville. Thanks to Chris' eggcellent service, we will be making this one our eatery of choice!

First time trying this place and it was delicious! We had a bit of a wait for a table of 8 on a Saturday which wasn't a surprise! Service was really great and quick. Food was amazing but all of our coffee lovers were blown away by their coffee orders!

My favorite location is by far the one on 1085. I live closer to the one in downtown covington but honestly im not a fan of the way they make coffee. Favorite employees are Ashlie and Rebecca, always friendly and professional service, wonderful coffee, and my favorite ambiance for a nice coffee break at any point of the day. ​

Covington is a quaint little town with a lot of Louisiana charm. This restaurant serves amazing grubs with a relaxed ambiance appeal. Well worth the trip and stay... Remember to support your local grubberies so we both don't starv

Nice atmosphere! I enjoy this location. The restaurant was clean and very well staffed. Service was excellent. I had a hot caramel macchiato (Starbucks style) and it was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time.

Food is always good but this last visit the waitress was overwhelmed and could not handle keeping up with her tables. Besides the long wait for kitchen to have breakfast completed and brought to our table the waitress also didn't routinely return to Che k on refills and etc.

Tasty food - a great place to catch up w a longtime friend. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the river! Attentive wait staff.

I love this location. It's close to my work so it's more familiar and the staff is always sweet and helpful. Foods pretty good too;) I lovethe chicken salad with pecans, the beast mode tea, they make it less sweet for me, same with the new (slushy lemonades) or use less product and of course BREAKFAST is great!

Not the worst or the best. It's a little dirty on the inside and the food is nothing special. I always wonder how places that are covered in dust/grime pass inspections, but this place is always packed so I guess people don't mind. The manager needs to create a punchlist of things that need to be cleaned and repaired. I can't believe no one else notices this.

Food was amazing , we started off the French toast dippers as an appetizer. Our entrees were chicken & waffles / shrimp & grits. Food was seasoned well everything was amazing. The service was okay we did wait but it was busy. The ambiance was cool. Will definitely try again and again lol

Checked out this cozy coffee company today. Love the atmosphere and the employees. I highly recommend coming here. I forgot to take a picture of my blackened fish but OMG. It was deli-shish.

Been here a couple of times and have always had good food and kind servers. Most recently we split the bayou chicken. Decent sized breast with lots of toppings. We got it with the mac & cheese and the onion rings. I'm not a huge fan of onion rings but these were nice and thin with a light breading and I really enjoyed them. While we were there noticed they have a bottomless bloody bar on the weekends and saw a few items on the breakfast menu I definitely want to try out. Will definitely be back to try that out.

Had the pleasure of stopping by this restaurant/coffee shop while in town due to the rave reviews and it actually held up to the hype. The food was very good and the strawberry mimosa was delicious. Their was quite not of a wait time upon entry they were busy for a holiday but it was less than 15 mins. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.

Food is and always has been great here. Unfortunately the prices have almost doubled the past year making it more of a special occasion visit. Spending $100 on breakfast for a family of 4 isn't something we can do often.

The food was good, but $14 for 2 eggs, 2 bacon a biscuit and small grits is a bit over priced. $21 with coffee. I could have ordered 2 eggs ($4) Bacon ($4) grits ($?) *$4 for a biscuit is pretty high. Don't plan coming back

The food was great. My daughter had the chocolate waffle and i had the chicken wrap which were tasty. The service was great. Very clean. My only negative is they have an app but I always forget to get them to scan the app before I pay. Once you pay, there is not way to credit your account. Please add a scan receipt feature or something to be able to get credit for your purchase.

Beignets! Powdered sugar vanilla beignets! Paired perfectly with the Vanilla Bean Iced Coffee. Enjoyed them in the coffee area, then got a chocolate chip cookie to go.

The Beignets were fabulous, we shared the order. Met with friends for brunch, great choices for breakfast and lunch items! The outside seating was full, so we are inside, it was very nice but busy! Get there early to avoid crowds

Always amazing food! We frequent Abita Roasting, because you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Their food NEVER disappoint! Zach gave excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu. On this occasion, we had the bbq rib special, which was not only VERY delicious, but the generous amount of food will give us another complete meal!! The rib meat literally fell off the bone! The baked beans were so flavorful as was the potato salad!

Not a very good experience. They seemed to be understaffed , and if that was the case then they should have a manager/host managing the flow of sitting time in the restaurant. Drinks were wrong and the coffee was cold which took a long time to get. Then when the food was ordered it took around 40 mins to finally receive it and it was not right. Server was very apologetic but needs to pay attention to detail more.

The food was phenomenal! Fast, exceptional service by our server, Allie. Allie recommended the fried green tomato sardou and it did not disappoint. I can't wait to come back for another girls brunch soon!

It didn't start out well, to say the greater was rude was an understatement! No eye contact, no smile, no real greeting other then "are you eating inside or out?" If my wife hadn't just had surgery and made this place her first choice I would have spoken to the manager and left. So next our server Amelia, WOW what a difference! After she met us with a huge genuine smile That made me happy to stay. Important lesson to restaurants, first impressions matter!!! So on to the food and drink, the coffee is just the best in town. The cinnamon toast was amazing! Not too sweet just perfect. I didn't even need syrup. The carrot soufflé was an amazing surprise that I tried for the first time today. It's like a sweet potato pie, just not as sweet. This would have been a 5 star, but I almost walked out the first minute I walked in, so maybe next time. Yes, I will be back, Amelia's smile and attention to us both made that possible.

It's hard to go wrong with food in Louisiana, and this place is no exception. Food was very tasty and plentiful! Lot of great eggs Benedict options (which is my favorite breakfast/ brunch item). There are also any omelet choices as well. And all the breakfast options are available all day!!!!! I'll definitely will be back

I have been a wonderful customer taking clients for lunch and dinner for a couple of years, that is until tonight. I typically order their beet and honey goat cheese salad and it's always been delicious, until tonight. The salad had 4 tiny diced beets, no sundried tomatoes, and no honey-fried goat cheese, only fried and slightly burnt cheese. Reluctantly I brought it to the attention of our server who called for the manger. He ( didn't introduce himself) asked what was the problem? I explained and showed him what all was missing on my salad using the menu. I asked him not to make a big deal over it, just show the chef so he will know for future orders. He took the salad away and I ordered a wrap instead. Now, when my wrap showed up, it wasn't on a dinner plate, it was out in a go box ( the waitress even commented why they did this she don't know) along with some scorched sweet potatoe fries I was upcharged $2.00 for. I can't tell you how embarrassed I was in front of my client who also commented on how unprofessional the manager was for not offering any kind of replacement and how angry at acted towards me but to now place my food in a to go box was even worse, especially for how nice I had been. I tipped our lovely little waitress excellent like I always do and left. I don't know what is going on with the manager but I will never ever dine there again. PS they are extremely over priced on their wrap with sweet patoe fries. $19.00 F-

5 stars all around from service to host and food. Surprised it took me so long to visit, but it definitely was everything I could imagine and more. Visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3, perfect time to go and wasn't crowded at all. Party of 6, seated right away. Breakfast/Brunch is served all day. So opted in for the Acadian Benedict. Shrimp and fish were fired to perfection and the egg was runny.

Best breakfast in Covington! We got the biscuits and gravy and the blueberry muffin, both to die for! For our meals we each got an omelette and they were a great portion and tasted amazing-- they made mine all egg white which I really appreciated! We always visit this place when in Covington!

The restaurant was about a third full inside and outside. Hostesses seemed confused about available seating space and were bringing folks to dirty tables. Awkward. We were seated with menus we wiped our wet table with napkins and a waiter approached for our drink order. Drinks came out we ordered lunch. Oh, the drinks were definitely once and done, we never saw him again. Food was good, the kitchen made up for the front staff. That is why I gave three stars. Runners from the kitchen had no idea who ordered what. But the food was hot and prepared correctly. We had to ask someone cleaning for our bill.

Zach provided the best service at lunch. His service was impeccable & he even brought my dog a pup cup & iced water. We highly recommend trying the burgers!

Great place for lunch! I always get seated fast. The servers are attentive, and the food is great. I really like the crawfish bisque bread bowl that they have right now.

This place blew my mind! I've had a lot of crab and corn soup/bisque but their's knocked it out the park. The southwest Cobb salad was spicy yet well balanced and portioned HUGELY. Hazelnut iced latte was strong and creamy. Honestly everything I ordered was just on point. There was only one server running around the whole floor but he was attentive and very friendly.

The food is ok.. I feel like breakfast is a much better choice than trying them for lunch or dinner. The service though is terrible. Each and every time we come in there is hardly anyone dining in and the service is terrible. this has been a consistent problem for years now. we have most certainly made our last trip there.

Great breakfast-brunch restaurant with many options to satisfy even the most particular individuals. There are three locations the ones in Covington and Abita have more menu items and the third in Madisonville (it was actually the second location I believe) that has less menu items but over looks the river. In any event this is definitely a good breakfast place.

Ordered Cheesy Burger No Tomato they forgot the cheese but brought sliced cheese to the table no straws no napkins no silverware no menus coffee was in togo cups :( no outdoor dining service had to ask for silverware and water who is supervising these people

Visited here after a trip to the northshore! The coffee shop is huge and beautiful! I was able to get two cups of coffee pretty quickly. They have indoor and outdoor dining and their food menu looks pretty delicious.

The breakfast menu is extensive and varied. Great food. The pile of bacon did not disappoint. The coffee was wonderful. We tried several kinds.

Whenever we cruise through we always make a point to stop here. Wish they would franchise; it's THAT good.
