Yelp
Located in the heart of a medieval town and practically next to a marvelous cathedral that survived Nazi bombing, the Abode is a charming hotel with modern amenities. My group of thirty visitors from the Open Road program was on a tour of the great gardens of England and arranged for us to stay there for five nights.
We were seen to our rooms and the attentive staff took care of our needs. Our plan included breakfast and their buffet was too much for any individual. Choices of eggs in any style including coddled with fresh juice, piping hot coffee with warmed milk so the coffee does not turn cold, cereal, bread, fruit, marmite, etc.
the servers, Papp, Becky, their manager and most especially Molly, were more than attentive to our every need and were there are 7 am as well as 9 pm.
Dinners were first class - cod, halibut, lamb. The cozy bar was delightful
Our rooms had big screen tv, a desk, chair, AC, views out and a handy bath towel warmer. Do wish the toiletry shelf had been larger, though.
Museum across the street, money exchange on the block, historic hospital down the next block.
