Abode Tuggeranong

I had a really good stay here. It is right next to the bus interchange which made travelling around Canberra very easy. I stayed in early spring so the temperatures were low and rooms warm. The windows are great at keeping the noise from the buses and traffic out allowing for a good sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the washing machine and dryer were handy. On the downside, there was no air conditioning in the bedroom of the unit I was in. Not a problem in winter/early spring but at the the height of summer and 35 - 40C, this maybe a problem. Suggest when you book ask whether the bedrooms are air conditioned.

Great location. However, the cockroaches were a problem. We killed two babies in the kitchen before we saw a few more in the cupboard, bathroom and bedroom. We spoke to the front desk and they were very nice. When I returned from breakfast, a cleaner was going into the room with two cloths and a cleaning bottle. They rang to say it was cleaned and no signs. I asked what they could offer and they said a smaller room with one bed - there were two of us - or move out by 2pm for a refund of the Saturday night. Naturally they wanted photos but cockroaches are not known for their willingness to pose for the camera. My friend got photos and I took a photo of the ones squashed in the door. Waiting for a full refund. On a positive note, the shower pressure is sensational 🤓

The staff were neither friendly or unfriendly, just sterile. The room was plain and average, not great. I did not realise the hotel was 'pet friendly' and if I knew this I would not have stayed there, not for me. It certainly smelt pet friendly! Thanks, but never again.

Great location. Clean rooms, smelled a bit too strong on the cleaning chemicals. Entryways were tired, need new hall carpet and paint work. Carpet in rooms were beautiful, clean, soft. Bathroom was spacious. Outdoor area is massive but no furniture outside.

Absolutely filthy! This place is incredibly rundown now and needs proper management if it wants to continue at the price point it is at. To name a few: - 'sneeze' remnants all over my bedroom window mesh - brown substance all over my towels and floor cloth - i am hoping it was makeup - used bandaid under the bin in the bathroom - Googlecast did not work - walls heavily damaged and stained with food and other unidentified fluids - again, hoping it was not bodily fluid - carpet was filthy and smelled terrible I could go on but you get the picture. A lot of work needed to return this establishment to acceptable standards. Ditch the 'green clean' - it does not work!

The Reception is SUPERB!! special mention to Angelica, she personally assisted us checking for our belongings we left in the room, we checked out on Sunday 4 Aug, and only noticed that our ipad was missing on 6 Aug..they immediately confirmed that it was in the room and they willingly post it to us carefully wrapped to make sure it wont get damage!! we have our ipad back to us now :) Thanks so much!!

Fabulous location next to bus, shopping centre and fitness club near lake. It would be better if the bedrooms had airconditioning. Living room does but it does not filter through. Clean and we will be back again. Thanks Abode

This place was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially the housekeepers. The rooms were big and spacious with a clean kitchen and bathroom, was stocked up with clean towels everyday and kitchen/bathroom needs. Great location as well as we were walking distance to the lake, shops, plaza and restaurants. Also great views from the balcony.
