A communist pub that at times feels like a museum full of history and countless stories to tell. The staff and locals were ridiculously welcoming. Love this place and can’t wait to visit again. Tip: Check out the Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown episode S05E08 that was filmed here.

a hidden gem in Lebanon - a small, unassuming pub that's a perfect blend of quiet charm and vibrant energy. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy great company. Definitely worth seeking out

One of the best pubs you'll find. Has an real cool underground yet homely vibe. Must visit for tourists and locals. Just hang out there and it's charms will draw you in. The owner is awesome, the bartender doubly so. You'll love this if you're into cool bar discussions and debates, or chill music.

One of the best vintage pubs in Beirut. MUST KNOW: the place is tiny. Don’t be intimidated! Once you walk in and understand the pubs history and environment, you’ll feel right at home. Despite the pub’s obvious affiliation with the communist party, it’s open and welcoming to all political opinions, religions and cultures. Terez has been in charge since her husband and the original owner, Naya, passed away in 2016. She is contagiously funny and very sassy. P.S feel free to bring pictures or notes to staple on the pub’s walls. It’s filled with memorabilia from customers over the years.

Every corner tells a story. Harmonized place, very very affordable prices. Highly recommended.

My favourite hole in the wall featuring the deep and dark stories of the communism that weaved in and out of the Lebanese culture, the welcome plate of lemon and salt soaked carrots, turmous, and apples. Many great memories were made here, including our epic bartender writing me Fairuz lyrics with my Almaza and searching for Canadian ID's/currency behind the bar.

Friendly bartender and food is out of this world. If you're looking for a lively time, sit at the bar and have too much arak.
