Absolute Sanctuary

We were there only 3 days with ala carte menu of sessions. Few of receptionists were having no idea about procedures and there was nobody to suggest us the ideal mix of it. They announced in advance there is no doctor. So you might take it consideration. So you go meditate, reformer pilates ( it was truly great! The equipment, teacher and the place that even people outside the hotel visit. 1/3 attendants was men, great to know for my husband. Also we ask for sound Tibetan bowls ritual for couple, that was interesting to experience. Otherwise if you are alone and want to have ME time- there were many people alone. Not couples. And its nice. I loved the plants around the swimming pool, great choice of meals, really good breakfast. Just no bread. Only banana dry bread that is healthy Haha.

The place is beautiful. And that's it. I didn't give the place a zero rating just because of the Pilates instructor, Kevin. Kevin was excellent, knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and attentive. For example, they don't explain in advance that you have to register for the steam room. The gym also was closed for one day for renovations without any prior notice. If you arrive with a rental car, be aware that the exit from the access road to the road is very dangerous, zero visibility. The food is not great, I had diarrhea. The masseuses are unprofessional. Or they do it too hard, and if you tell them to, they continue too gently. Sometimes you suffer during the massage. The reception is unprofessional. They make mistakes, don't listen to the customer's explanation. After a repeated complaint, they accepted that they were wrong, but didn't apologize. The pool is dangerous to enter. There is no railing. There are steps in the water. Not for older people. I had frostbite that needed to be frozen for the medication I needed for the rest of the trip. I explained to the waiter, Kung, that it needed to be frozen. Upon checkout it turned out that the ice cubes were just cooled, and the medicine was spoiled. The staff is not professional at all. We will not be coming back here again. If Kevin leaves, we think it would be better if the place went bankrupt.

Stayed for 9 days and loved it! Absolute Sanctuary highlights: fabulous foot reflexology, extensive menu of fresh juices, Kevin's pilates classes and the crowd, a lot of them traveling solo. This resort is social but calm, a real oasis for rest and fitness with like minded people. Highly recommend - unless you want beach, booze and party, which you can find everywhere else!

Staying at Absolute Sanctuary felt like discovering a hidden paradise that photographs simply cannot capture. The reality of the place is far more beautiful, serene, and grounding than anything you see online. I traveled solo, and from the moment I was picked up, I felt completely at ease—the welcome was warm, genuine, and reassuring, setting the tone for a stay defined by care, intuition, and heartfelt hospitality. It is an exceptionally ideal place for solo travelers, offering a rare balance of privacy, connection, and safety without ever feeling isolating.||The staff are exceptional beyond words—deeply professional, attentive, and remarkably thoughtful. They remember your name, your room number, your preferences, even what you enjoyed in previous orders, and they accommodate schedule changes with patience and understanding. It genuinely puzzled me how this is classified as a four-star property; in service, experience, and spirit, it deserves five. The wellness offering is outstanding. The Pilates and yoga classes are truly transformative—I joined the Pilates boot camp and found myself doing two Pilates classes daily alongside morning meditation and yoga, with evening yoga offered optionally depending on the program. Within just ten days, my strength and stamina noticeably evolved.||The spa and wellness facilities are equally impressive, with treatments that feel intentional and restorative. While the face yoga session was gentler than I personally expected, the Thai massage is absolutely not to be missed—one of the highlights of my stay. There is so much to do within the sanctuary that many days I didn’t feel the need to leave at all. Between the salt room, steam room, beautiful pool, and a thoughtfully curated daily schedule, the experience feels full and enriching. The hotel organizes temple visits, while the wellness practitioners host workshops and activities that guests can sign up for—offering two distinct yet complementary ways to engage beyond the retreat itself. Boredom simply isn’t possible here.||While the resort doesn’t have direct beach access, it provides two daily shuttles to nearby beaches, and I do hope future expansion reaches the shoreline. During my stay, there was some construction underway; however, it was reassuring to see this was in service of enhancing the experience further, with additions such as an ice bath, sauna, and expanded wellness offerings. If I were to suggest one small improvement, it would be having calorie and macronutrient information on the menu to better support structured wellness goals—though this is a minor note in an otherwise exceptional stay.||What truly sets Absolute Sanctuary apart is its people—from the drivers and gardeners to the receptionists, instructors, spa therapists, housekeeping, and F&B teams. Every individual works with visible passion and pride, reflected in the impeccable maintenance, seamless service, and genuine warmth that fills the space. I honestly left with zero complaints—only deep appreciation, a sense of renewal, and a strong desire to return.

I spent 7 days at Absolute Resort Koh Samui on the “Stress & Burnout” program, and it was such an amazing experience that I decided to extend my stay.||The rooms are great, very comfortable and well designed. There can be a little noise from animals during the night, which is quite natural in this environment and didn’t disturb the experience.||The spa treatments are absolutely amazing—deeply relaxing, professional, and perfectly tailored to your needs. The staff truly takes care of people, always kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the stay.||The gym classes are excellent, especially the Pilates Reformer and yoga classes, which were high quality and perfectly aligned with the wellness approach of the retreat.||The food was excellent: healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, making the wellness journey even more enjoyable.||Just a small note: there were some renovations taking place at the hotel during peak season, which we were not informed about beforehand. It would have been appreciated to know this in advance.||Overall, this place is a real sanctuary for anyone needing to reset and recharge. I’m leaving feeling calmer, lighter, and very grateful.|Already looking for my dates next year.

We came here for a detox treatment and have come out delighted. The staff is very welcoming and professional, the activities proposed have great teachers. The days pass by quickly between the spa treatments, the activities and lounging by the pool. We highly recommend it! It was perfect to kick start the year.

A very good health retreat with a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and wellness. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The healthy food here tastes amazing — fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. There are so many interesting wellness activities to join, such as yoga, Pilates, and gym programs. It’s a great place for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Highly recommended!
