Abu Hassan

There are two lacations on both sides of the street. Its the same place. Same as the original location only a short walk away. Superb Hummus. The best in the Tel Aviv area. I have been going here all my life. Its Palestinian style. I had the tripple mix with a dab of labane and it was heavenly. You cannot miss this place when you are in Tel Aviv. Service of course is superb too. They also keep afordable prices.

The service is very friendly and super fast. They are all so sweet at the restaurant and very helpful when we had to take the stroller inside as there were no tables available outside. We told the person it was our first time, he asked us if we had any allergies and ordered for us. Just be aware that their portion size is big and 1 order of hummus should do for a group of 4. As expected it was all melt in your mouth goodness! It’s just .4 miles ~9 minutes walk to the clock tower.

Typically Arabic hospitality - people shouting, very welcoming and honest. The food was excellent even though I thought their foul need more salt. Their lemonade was the best I’ve ever had and the prices are fair. I would give more star if there was some kind of music. Highly recommend!

Abu Hassan is the single best hummus restaurant in Tel Aviv. It is simple, quick, and amazingly tasty. The hummus is so tasty, in fact, that you’re unlikely to even notice the sub-optimal service. Don’t overstay at your tables though; when you finish, get moving so others can have their turn at hummus.

In my search for inexpensive, but not giving up to quality, restaurants, I found this place after finishing a walking tour in Jaffa. I ordered the masabacha (with egg) and four pieces of falafel, and a glass of lemonade. The masabacha was a great surprise, try it if you want something a bit different from regular hummus. Service is fast, and you can pay with card.

A highlight of our trip to Tel Aviv! They only serve hummus, but boy is it good! This place is recommended by Lonely Planet as having the "best hummus in the world," but it is refreshingly low-key. Service is rough, but that's part of the charm! We loved our hummus and will have fond memories of Ali Caravan.

Lightest, fluffiest & really tasty hummus (for sure one of the best ones we’ever had) - both the normal and the mashabacha one. Falafel were extremely good, same goes for the lemonade. Cheap, fast eats at its finest! Long queue, fast sitting and (probably) table sharing in most cases. Good staff, and while the place felt a little noisy and hectic, that also adds to the experience! A great find!

Wow! Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is fast and loud, and made for a unique experience. We were able to be seated right away. Service was quick, basic, and got the job done but wasn't exceptional. The food was amazing, the pita was fresh tasty, the hummus smooth and creamy. Definitely worth a visit!
