How Safe Are Fall Activities like Apple Picking During COVID-19? | Eater

"A community-oriented farm in southern California whose programming extends beyond U-pick to a produce shop, educational programs for children and adults, open community farming, and several BIPOC-focused nonprofit initiatives; early pandemic programming was paused but staff plan a phased return with strict distancing, guided by the collective’s democratic decision-making. The farm is partnering with an organic-research nonprofit to create a U-pick, no-till pumpkin patch and hopes to involve local sixth-grade classes in hands-on studies of soil carbon and pre-colonial Chumash farming practices." - Nick Mancall-Bitel

What a great place! Very nice organic store with veggies/fruit straight from the farm. We went and walked around the farm, saw the chickens and other birds, then picked strawberries (you pay per pound picked) and ate several right from the bush! Delicious and so much fun!!!! Highly recommend!
