The food was so good I had to leave a review!!! The chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo was delicious. The sauce on the teriyaki chicken is amazing and pairs so well with the rice. The gyoza is crispy and the salad on the side provides variety. I love how much food you get and the prices are super affordable. If you’re looking for yummy sushi and bento boxes, you should definitely stop by. 💖

Great service and good portions for reasonable prices! People usually grab and go but I normally like to have a seat and enjoy the calm environment while watching the busy street traffic. I've ordered quite a few times from here.

I got the sushi deluxe. Ten pieces of nigiri and a tuna roll, all for a pretty reasonable price. It was plated most compactly in the bottom of a takeout container, rather than say a plate, but I feel like that fits the tone of the place, being more of a non-fancy neighborhood joint. As for the sushi itself, did anything stick out as tasting particularly good? Not really. One piece of salmon happened to be damaged and slimy. I cut off the bad part and tried from the rest that looked OK. It was sour, and that’s a key sign of being spoiled. So although it seemed nice to be able to try an assortment of fish at a good value, the quality didn’t very much impress, but more importantly, to have slipped in (and hidden behind the grass) a visibly deteriorated piece of fish which shouldn’t pass as OK by any sushi chef anywhere, to the only customer in the store at that, just leaves me with no good feeling about this place.

Delicious sushi takeout at affordable prices! We ordered the party roll platter 80 prices for $77 after tax and while it didnt fill us up completely for 4 people, it was still pretty good. They were also super efficient, we ordered and they said it would be ready in 10 mins. Would recommend!

Foods are cheap and fresh. Though salmon’s piece is thin . Still it’s okay when it’s around $10 ( teriyaki salmon with California roll. ). Employees are so modest and smiley.

Omg ! I forgot to take a picture of the before. But let me tell you it was so freaking good . I was not disappointed at all ! It came so well packaged. When I called to order , the lady was very nice . Only thing I didn’t like was the dressing that came with the salad . I put my own .I will be ordering again in a few days .

I was walking and saw this Japanese place, which is nearby my home and decided to order takeout since they got so many good lunch specials. Luckily it was before 4pm, the time lunch specials end at. They are from 11am to 4pm. I was eyeing at the Chicken Katsu with California Roll at $9.95, which was pretty affordable. So I ordered it and waited for the food and saw that they packed a lot of food and offered free miso soup with it. When I opened it, I was instantly satisfied at how much katsu they gave and as I was eating it, I saw a piece of hair and was very pissed off that it was in my food, which is unbelievable! Never again will I ever go there!

Croquettes and rice? Yes! Aburi Sushi is a Westernized Japanese Restaurant that offers dine in, take out and local delivery. Personally speaking, this style of Japanese food is a comfort zone. * Not mentioned are (2) Special platters w/ California roll

I stopped by here for a lunch special while working in the area. The menu is endless with every option possible regarding sushi, handrolls, and sashimi. The food here is budget-friendly even without the lunch special. For less than $10, I bought myself a lunch special - salmon teriyaki, California roll, salad, and rice. It was well worth it. The portion size was plentiful. The salmon teriyaki was saucy, but not overly. Food came out quickly and I was headed out. The employees are Chinese. The restaurant has more of a presence of a Chinese takeout spot than a Japanese restaurant. There was plenty of space where you could be seated. I could definitely see myself coming back here!

The rice and chicken was good but would not recommend the red dragon roll or the Philadelphia roll... deeply unappetizing Great service (fast!), good pricing, good menu options, not ideal sushi rolls

One thing to note is that this combo doesn't come with the typical drizzle of spicy mayonnaise on top, so be sure to request it on the side if that's your preference. Although not flawless, the rolls were still delectable and satisfying. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the speed of service. I placed my order on Seamless, and in less than 15 minutes, it was ready for pick-up. This efficiency ensures that even those on a tight schedule can enjoy a delightful sushi experience without compromising their other commitments. Aburi Sushi Bar not only does the job but excels at it. Whether you live in the area or passing through, if you're in the mood for fast, budget-friendly sushi, I recommend checking them out.

This restaurant is my go to delivery neighborhoood sushi place. We really like their salmon lover. (4 salmon sushi, 3 sashimi, and spicy salmon, but we usually request to all salmon sushi and salmon avocado). We are about 1.5miles away from the restaurant, but delivery is always super quick (literally received our order in 15min one time). one thing that I wanna mention is wish they change their ginger (super bright pink) and wasabi (super highlight green)...

Lunch special is such a good price! 3 rolls with a side (mostly soda choices or a miso) $15. I also got a fried chicken lunch special for $10.50 which came with shumai and a salad and miso. Everything was so fresh. Sushi had large pieces of fish in it. Everything lacked a tiny bit of flavor for me personally but I like everything with almost too much seasoning. I'm sad this was my first time ordering here, I've been missing out. Will order here again.

Solid lunch spot- VERY fast delivery within the Williamsburg area. Ordered the 15 piece sashimi and a spicy salmon hand roll for lunch. Both items had a nice portion of fish and the hand roll definitely did not skip. The 15 piece sashimi included 4 pieces of fried tofu (-1star for me as a sashimi platter- IMO- should be all fish, not tofu). Also, the two pieces of mackerel sashimi were VERY smelly, definitely not what you want. All in all, I will order from them again and update my review accordingly.

It's lunch time and I have no idea what I want to eat, I scroll through Yelp for a place that is close, have a good rating and is within my lunch budget. Aburi Sushi appears and it checks all the boxes. I immediately look for the lunch special, I know I'm not the only one that does this, they had a wide selection. I placed my order and with a half an hour my order was at my job. The order was fresh and delicious. I definitely order here again.

Favorite sushi place in Williamsburg hands down. Prices are reasonable (love their lunch specials), portions are big and sushi always tastes fresh. As a bonus, they are one of the few places that have fried California rolls (SO good, try it). Usually also get the standard rolls- california, spicy tuna, sweet potato etc. Delivery is also usually fast and everything is well packed. Definitely my go-to for sushi.

Wow. My new go to sushi delivery. Everything came so quickly and tasted really fresh. The portions are also HUGE so I always have tons of leftovers. You won't go wrong ordering from here.

Ordered the lunch special which is a good deal but the rolls are very tiny. One of the rolls I ordered was the Avocado Mango Roll but they only made an avocado roll. Their vegetarian menu is limited so I was disappointed to learn that they didn't even have the ingredients for one of the few rolls I could order.

Great sushi delivery. I've ordered here on a minimum bi-monthly basis for the past year and Aburi's consistently punctual delivery times still amaze me. Rockstars: $11.25 Salmon [or Tuna] Lover Combo = sushi (4 pieces), sashimi (3 pieces), and one spicy salmon [or tuna] avocado roll (6 pieces). $9.75 Maki Combo C = Tuna avocado, salmon avocado, yellowtail avocado (total 18 pieces). $8.25 Tuna Combo $8.95 Chicken Katsu with Gyoza If you're in the mood for fresh, raw salmon, I would highly recommend the Salmon Lover Combo. They even allow me to substitute brown for white rice. I've had better $4.25 Tokyo Fried Chicken, $3.75 Age Tofu, and $1.75 Maguro (a la carte sushi) elsewhere, so I'd avoid these. If you're looking for amazing Michelin starred food, this will not meet your expectations. If you're looking for decent affordable food and reliably super fast delivery, Aburi is a fantastic and highly recommended option.

Hands-down the best sushi place in Williamsburg, possibly New York City once you factor everything in. Forget all those other fancy sushi restaurants where you have to sit down and they hand you sushi one-by-one (I hope the folks at Kazunori don't see this-- y'all are the exception!!). The only place I've seen since moving here that does an "Any 3 Roll" combo for so CHEAP ($9.99?!?!?) AND puts an adequate amount of filling in it. Some places will try to pinch a penny and put disproportionate amounts of rice in it to cheat you, but not Aburi. Right, and as for the food: delicious. SO good. I cannot believe how good it is at that price point???? I can't speak for the bowls or anything like that, but the sushi. Wow. I've never gotten sick here, which I sadly can't say for every sushi place. The fish isn't like, melt in your mouth or anything like that, but it's a solid chonk of fish with a ton of flavor. On top of that, the delivery times are mind-blowingly fast. I don't know how they do it. During the lunch hours on weekdays, we'll put in an order, and it comes in 20 minutes later, with every instruction followed. My partner and I are pretty specific -- I don't want cucumber, wasabi, or ginger, but my partner does! Usually, restaurants mess that up (they give her none or give me all) but Aburi does it correctly and PUNCTUALLY. I've ordered from here countless times since the start of the pandemic. It is my go-to sushi place, and I sincerely pray that they make it through the COVID-19 pandemic. They are fantastic, and I would love nothing more than to visit them in-person when things are safe again. Until then, happy to make this my go-to sushi delivery joint. One of my favorite local sushi spots next to my apartment. My go to is the Chicken Katsu lunch combo with the california rolls and it keeps me full for the rest of the day and at a reasonable price too. My apartment is about a 7 minute walk and by the time Im there, my order is already prepared. Some times they forget to add utensils like chopsticks and stuff but other than that, I have no issues with this place.

The salmon teriyaki box was good. However, my girlfriend got the chicken teriyaki box and didn't like the way the chicken taste. Overall, I enjoyed the food and it was hot and fresh.

I've been coming to this place since they opened, and the food is delicious.. the combo's are worth it and fill you up for a reasonable price. Anytime I go in to order the woman at the register is very nice. The teriyaki shrimp with rice, salad and there dressing , with a Cali roll, with pickled ginger and wasabi hits the spot always. , there spider rolls are delicious as well as the miso soup..

Yummy sushi go to for lunch! I was super hungry and crazy busy at work today (and most days). I ordered Aburi because people at work have said good things and I didn't have time to peruse the Yelp app for a good spot. I went in BLIND! I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and a side of eel sauce; basic order so even if things went south I wouldn't be disappointed. It arrived 20 minutes later, right on time. The avocado and cucumber were somewhat fresh and the shrimp tempura was crispy/crunchy.

The three rolls I ordered were not made from very fresh fish. The salmon has a slight bitter after taste and a slight gray color and definitely not orange and the Alaska roll I ordered was a cucumber/cooked either salmon or tuna but either way tasteless. Soy sauce was not sushi grade soy sauce either, it was incredibly strong and sticks to the inside of my mouth unlike traditional sushi soy sauce. Pretty disappointed.

Plenty of food for cheap!! The specialty rolls are a great size and i just can't get over how cheap it is! Don't come in expecting a dining experience, you order at the register and choose your own table. I may order delivery next time.

I recently moved to the area and have ordered from Aburi 5 or 6 times. You can't beat the price for the quality and quantity of sushi. I usually get the salmon combo (5 pieces of salmon sushi and a salmon roll) plus a seaweed salad. It costs me less than $12! The fish has always tastes fresh and delivery has always been speedy. This is definitely a take out place, but they do have seating if you wanted to eat at the spot (which I have done twice before). I still need to try more sushi places in the area, but until I explore some more Aburi will be my go-to sushi joint.

Sorry I don't have pictures... I ate it too fast. I wanted an inexpensive but quality sushi place in the neighborhoods. I am truly impressed. The service is quick. The rolls are so delicious and inexpensive. We always have spicy salmon, spicy tuna, edamame, miso soup, goyza and yellow tail scallion! They are delicious and quick. It's refreshing to order a large sushi meal that doesn't break the bank and is super fresh. I haven't tied any specialties or combo platters but plan too soon. I'm just thrilled the basic rolls and apps are on point. Definitely worth an order. If you don't like it, you will not have lost a lot of money!

The sushi here is fresh and tasty but in my opinion the only down part is that they do not put enough fish into their rolls. This is the main reason why I only order on lunch special lol we can both be cheap haha

Nice Affordable Quick Spot for a sushi fix. Rolls were fresh and tasty. I am coming from Queens so it's a nice little spot in Brooklyn. We will be coming in again.

What I say that this place is exemplary of customer service or the product is supremely fantastic no. it is however very well price for the amount of food that you get and that's exemplary in Brooklyn to begin with specialty in Williamsburg. so here's the basic breakdown if you're looking to get as much food as possible for the least amount of money this is the place to go for sushi. You have the traditional arrogance of a group of people who one barely speak the language but you communicate with them in but also feel like you're sub par to them. did I expect this when I went in absolutely did I get treated like I was not a human being know but they were rude. But I'm from New York I'm used to that. so here's the thing if you want cheap sushi this place is the spot. I've read some of the reviews where the food made people sick... My advice is to examine your food before you eat it.

I really in love with Aburi Sushi Bar. Great vibes and ambience. Every single thing we had here was delightful. And also, the service was awesome and the staff was really pleasant. Aburi Sushi Bar...What a fantastic find.

The sushi was terrible. I got delivery sushi through grub hub, and I only ordered sushi, plain with no sauce, nothing fried, no crunch, etc. It tasted pretty much the same as the grocery store sushi. The fish had a slight smell, and a slightly sour/stale taste to it, like the taste raw fish gets when it is left out in the air for a really long time. I couldn't finish my meal. I literally couldn't eat the whole thing. Never ever going to order from here again, and I'm thankful there are so many other sushi places near here to choose from. I wrote a similar review on grubhub, but I'm really starting to feel sick and have a giant knot in my throat.

I've now gotten dinner here a few times and love it! The sushi tastes great and you can't beat the prices/service.

I was very skeptical about ordering from this place because of the mix reviews that I read on Yelp but I decided to take the risk because my co-workers and I wanted to have sushi for lunch. We ordered (2) 3 roll lunch combo (salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, sweet potato roll, Alaska roll, mango avocado roll, and shrimp tempura roll), dynamite roll, and yaki chicken udon lunch special. Total came out to be around $35-$36. Food came within half an hour. The size of the rolls were at a decent size. The avocado was fresh but the chunks were pretty big. I personally like avocado that didn't really bother me. The salmon were also fresh, nice color, a little buttery. We had no complaints about the food. It was delicious. I think I found my new go to sushi place ! Definitely going to order from them again.

Disclaimer: This is a review for delivery sushi only. I've been ordering delivery sushi once a week from Aburi for the last 6 weeks now and have never been disappointed. I'm a stickler when it comes to sushi; fish freshness is crucial. I generally stick to salmon and tuna based rolls. Both are always surprisingly good fish. Considering the price, they do a phenomenal job here. The Salmon Lover's platter and the Tuna Lover's platter are both amazing deals. They have some pretty awesome specialty rolls too. Delivery is generally quick. Once I had to wait an hour; but in the scheme of things, that really isn't so bad. They can be a little stingy on the pickled ginger, and it's definitely not always amazing quality pickled ginger. Otherwise, I've always been really happy with Aburi. It will continue to be my go-to for delivery sushi on my weekly sushi night.

So my experience is likely different from others (I'll explain why soon). I've only gotten delivery and have gotten it 10 times. I usually ordered the teriyaki salmon combo box (or some version of it) and it's a great deal for some healthy eats. On the 9th time of me ordering the food it was a rainy day; I got the combo box, ate a good bit including the salmon and slightly fermented california rolls, and fell asleep. 90 minutes later I feel the grains of rice tickle my throat and I begin to puke. I puke for the next couple hours which included more than food because I could swear I did not eat the 2 gallons I let go. I alternate between the trashcan of my bedroom and attempting to crawl out of my bedroom to the bathroom but getting stopped by my stomach re-initiating. Note that these were sudden bursts of puking, kind of like a racecar made of coagulated rice, fermented california roll mash, and stomach acid hurdling up your throat. There is NO TIME to run downstairs to the bathroom you and your room mates share; also bless my room mates. Tangent aside, I make it downstairs to shower and another burst has me holding onto the toilet for dear life as I desperately try to clean everything I touch. I threw up for the last time at 4am (I began around 8pm). I still came back for a 10th time because it's such a great deal. Also I don't recommend trying to celebrate Halloween a day after this type of ordeal. I did. It didn't end well.

$9.50 for a chirashi lunch special - pretty happy about that. Fast delivery, too. The food was not bad. The sashimi was warm, though, and they put a weird smoky seasoning on the rice that I'm not too fond of, I'd prefer the usual vinegary flavor. But yeah, the food's pretty standard, nothing to write home about but enough to satisfy! The prices here are fantastic. Great variety of stuff, too. The fried ice cream for $4 was tasty and a steal of a portion. I'll keep coming back so long as they don't hike it up!

Behave ordered here consistently for a year. Salmon lover combo hits the spot, amazing price, and they always deliver on time. Have had a bunch is other sashimi from here and it's always fresh and tasty.

Terror. Sheer Terror. What am I talking about? No, not the customer experience at Aburi Sushi Bar. I'm talking about the look on the delivery guy's face. Because he's hustling to make sure everyone gets their food ahead of time. The crucial part of this place's value proposition is the punctuality of their delivery. Can't be beaten. Look, if you want to compare this place to Sushi Nakazawa, you're setting yourself up for failure. Be realistic. Are you going to find fatty tuna or uni that's going to rock your socks off in East Williamsburg?? Are you?? Who are you, Jiro the dreamer? You would never compare Roberta's to CPK. Why would you do that to yourself? Just stop. When you're coming home from a bad day at work and you just need a spicy salmon avocado roll ASAP, then this is the place to call. Don't get overzealous and venture into the shrimp or anything non-sushi, you elitist.

The food was really good. Prices are really good for Williamsburg. Extremely respectful, clean, and nice. Would definitely recommend.

I got the lunch special with 3 rolls and it was a good price for the amount of sushi it comes with. It also gives you a choice of your drink. I wish the spicy tuna and salmon were spicier but that's okay. The Philadelphia roll was very delicious, I'll definitely come back again!

THIS PLACE IS MINDBLOWINGLY FAST. We are located a 9 minute WALK away from the restaurant and receive our orders in 8 MINUTES. I have no idea how they do it or what this sorcery is, but it's always fast as hell and delicious.

OKAYYYY, so I got the #19 Teriyaki Salmon Dinner Combo and now this is my new favorite place in the entire city. The combination boxes are endless, and none for more than $12 I swear!!!!! Super fresh and delicious and actually so fast that I couldn't believe it. I had been sitting down for less than five minutes before I was served a massive platter of magic. I just wish there was a location as close to my work as there is to my apartment. I'm in love. (Also in the photo I had already eaten half of my sushi and a few pieces of the tempura!! Way more than enough food )
