The Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) is a major arts and cultural hub in Lafayette, Louisiana, supporting local artists, providing arts education, and hosting performances, exhibitions, and events in its downtown facility, which includes the James Devin Moncus Theater. It serves an eight-parish region, aiming to provide equitable access to the arts through various programs, workshops, and its role as a central point for the local arts scene, including the monthly ArtWalk. The AcA is a jewel to the local public community & for those visiting/traveling through our City of Lafayette that are interested in our past/present cultures/lifestyle through arts. I live just a few blocks from The AcA & have taken my grandchildren to visit this place. I've noticed it's so clean/fresh smelling, everything appears to be well organized (i.e: if you're looking for something particular it's organized & you can't go wrong in your search), and customer service are helpful, understanding, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend The AcA to family, friends, or ppl in general seeking arts. Good job, Lafayette.

This is a wonderful venue to enjoy live music. Ghost Note band was incredible. We drove in from Alabama to see them. The staff was helpful and kind. Great seats!

I used to go and see my daughter‘s exhibits because for a year she won from a contest because she can draw us if God holds her hand by drawing Wisteria maybe that’s why I need to Heaven and this is where artist display their work and it’s amazing that they can do. They are our future.

10-8-23 Really interesting artwork was on display... and this is a cool venue for comedy shows. This was my first time going to the Art Center, and I was impressed with the metal work that was on display.

Beautiful facility, centrally located in downtown Lafayette, LA. Easy to find reasonably priced parking within a short distance of this venue. Other businesses are close by for dinner, dancing, etc.

I’ve been to the ACA about 100 times- all good experiences! Their seating setup makes sense and is comfortable and their technology has always worked (which is hard to come by😂).

Yelp
This is a beautiful museum that also doubles as a concert venue. The rotating art installations that I've seen there are absolutely stunning. I really appreciate the emphasis on local artists. They do a wonderful job of curating experiences, and giving you a glimpse of the artist. I saw a great concert recently produced by local Cajun and Zydeco musicians I was absolutely blown away by those ladies! Later that month, I went to see some art by the renowned Leroy Evans. It was a stunning display of color, depth, detail, and emotion. Possibly one of my favorite painting exhibits ever. Take your kids, take a date or take a friend - you will have a lovely time.

Yelp
Every second Saturday in downtown Lafayette there's an art walk. Vendors set up shop up and down the streets and in shops. I went recently and now this will be a regular Saturday night thing for me. It was so nice!! Acadiana Center for the Arts was offering free admission so I stopped in to escape the heat and check out the exhibits. Jeremy Young was the artist whose work stood out the most to me and I thoroughly enjoyed studying his paintings. I was just awed by the details that went into his paintings. The artists here change on a regular basis and I picked up the upcoming schedule so I'll know when to go see some new exhibits. Next time you're wandering around downtown Lafayette be sure to stop in here!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this jewel while walking around downtown Lafayette. $3 for students to check out art? You can't beat that! The staff was knowledgable and friendly...All any patron can ask for.
