Each visit feels perfect, never letting me down. The team is warm, attentive, and truly focused on your comfort, offering great care and respect. Every plate arrives full of flavor, with portions that feel more than worth the cost. The Sunday morning feast is exceptional a little pricey, yet fully justified. For me, this spot is worth any wait and every dollar spent.

During our five-day vacation in California in early April 2025, my wife and I stayed at a nearby hotel. On our first night, we asked the concierge for local dining recommendations, and he suggested Acapulco. It was just a short two-block walk, so we strolled over and I’m so glad we did. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, the prices were a great value, and the service was genuinely attentive. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up dining there three out of our five nights. A quick tip: check out their daily specials. Even though the prices are low, the portions remain impressively large. Acapulco was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The service was definitely way slower than I would have expected and/wanted. I understand it was busy for a Wednesday night, but it was a little frustrating. Especially because we see other servers being more diligent. BUT the hostess Valerie was amazing! She was so sweet and extremely helpful. Immediately she was so friendly as I walked through the door. She even brought us our check and missing waters! She definitely deserves more appreciation!

It's been almost 20 years since I've been to an Acapulco, and nothing has really changed. Service was great, food and drinks were fine. Portions are really big and it's a decent value. The place is comfortable enough, if a little old. Biggest complaint is how incredibly salty the food was. It will keep me from coming back.

Came here for our first brunch of 2026 last Sunday with the friend group - and usually always have a great time at Acapulco. This time was no exception - we were promptly seated, and we all did the bottomless mimosa brunch (everything is included in one price). I wanted to give a special shout out to our server Valerie - she was super attentive and checking in on us to ensure we had refills (Always a plus when there's mimosas involved, ha) and that our plates were cleared at all times. Not only that - she was super good energy and made us laugh with good conversation throughout. Foodwise - you have your typical Mexican brunch items (chilaquiles, enchiladas, pozole, menudo, etc.) - and a kids section as well for those that have children. Some of the items that were sitting out of course weren't as fresh as could be - but that's typically every buffet style. The taco station was the best part, the meat and tortillas were super fresh (asada, carnitas, chicken is what I had) -- with a separate toppings station to customize how you want. I was too full for dessert - but they had flan, Jello, and other options. Entertainment - they have a Mariachi band that goes around singing and playing their instruments. We didn't have them come directly to our table, but it was nice feeling the authentic music vibes while eating and socializing. Overall, it was a great time to have fun, catch up, and eat a decent brunch. I recommend. If possible, ask for Valerie!

Had my moms surprise 70th birthday party here. Everything was amazing!! Great staff!! Very accommodating

This restaurant serves very great food and drinks. I had a street taco with steak. The waiter Jesus M is very funny and adds to the positivity of the atmosphere. This is a great place to celebrate a retirement for a friend. First time in California. I will be back again. Price range starts at $20 for a decent meal.

I love the food, the drinks, and the vibe. Mango margaritas, 10.99 fajitas special, and great service... you can't go wrong. I used to come for their brunch, and now I come for the fajitas and the chips and salsa. Just writing this review made me want to go back. 🤣😂

Attended a meeting with a group from LA de LA. First time for many, looking for a venue for regular meetings. Parking ,large lot, free--Venue, is large, open, very clean and modern. Desk recognized reservation, group got large private room. Most got the buffet(meeting at12 noon Saturday). I got a bit of almost every offering(a lot)and all trays were, really good, fresh and hot. Coffee & horchata free and limitless. Server was quick to refill and super nice and polite--we will come again--for sure

BEST ACAPULCO EXPERIENCE IN 17 YEARS! Sophia D.! She was the best server we've ever had. Worked extremely hard, kept the meal going smooth, and just crushed it! 15 out of 10 stars for her! And the food was incredible! The happy hour all night on Tuesday's is awesome! Thank you everyone for a GREAT experience. We truly appreciate it! And again shout out to SOPHIA! She ROCKS!

We came here for a late lunch to a almost empty resturant. No host to be seen so after a few minutes we self sat ourself at the bar. A little pricey for a $100 lunch with 2 drinks, one being a Mocktal and a $10 deep fried icecream. We each ordered different taco plates that came with rice and beans. We enjoyed the tacos. They added a service charge as part of our bill. If you are celebrating a birthday they do not sing to you or offer dessert on the house.

A. is located right off the freeway and has an ample lot. Seems like this and similar restaurants such as El Torito (ET) are just not as popular with younger crowds. You can get better and cheaper food from local taco joints and trucks, but both A. & ET are still a nice sit down experience for a friends and family, business, or special occasion meal. Service was friendly and mostly efficient. They did check on us 1-2 xs. However, as at many places for most of our visit our server was working too hard covering too many tables despite the place not being that crowded. We went for happy hour and ordered off of that menu. Their happy hour is a good deal if u do not order too much. We got a $4 margarita, potato chorizo tacos (2), chicken taquitos (4), and guac for the free chips. They have Pepsi products rather than Coke, so auto minus one star for our taste--we like our Diet Coke esp. w/ Mexican-Hispanic foods. It was super dead and quiet on a Sun night around 5:00. The overall quality and experience was better than ET. ET in Pasadena-Arcadia makes u feel a little uncomfortable and the happy hour items are not bad, but A. has better quality. We would come back here again and would definitely recommend giving them a try for happy hour or a meal.

My buddy chose Acapulco for his birthday dinner so we made reservations which was easy. The service was good although it could be better. It did take a while for the server to bring plates and utensils to our table. I didn't see a manager coming around greeting each table which would be ideal since the servers are busy with other customers.

We went there today with a party of nine for my brother's and my moms's birthday. Our server was extremely rude and unfriendly. He didn't ask what kind of tortillas I wanted for my fajita, he skipped my son when taking our drink orders and he didn't bring the shot of Grand Marnier that came with my margarita. We asked for a different server and the manager was great, he gave us a new server without delay. Our new server was great, friendly and attentive. After this we had a good experience. My daughter ordered a pizza from the kids menu and it was not what we expected.

This used to be my families go to restaurant the entire time i was growing up and I have so many memories there. So the other day when my fam and I were trying to think of somewhere to go for an early dinner we decided to have a little nostalgic moment. Unfortunately it was nothing like we remembered! The ambiance was fine and familiar so no complaints there. The issues started occurring with service. We had actually planned on having happy hour, but when we tried to order the waiter said we could only order from that menu in the section next to us and down the stairs. I was with my 95 yr old and 84 yr old grandmas that have a hard time walking so I wasnt going to make them get up and move after we finally had been seated and situated. I just was a little peeved that they wouldn't first ask before seating us or allow an exception since we didnt know and were only one of two tables seated in that section. The food took a really long time, about 30 mins after we ordered it and the waiter kept leaving trash and plates that we had moved to the edge of the table so it started piling up a bit. The food was also less than subpar. Two of us got enchiladas and they were so dried out and crunchy and I couldnt even eat some parts, with barely any sauce at all. The crunchy taco was greasy and soft, fell apart easily. The tostada wasnt great either, barely any dressing or lettuce and mostly refried beans. We left underwhelmed and disappointed. There's nothing worse than spending money on a meal that isnt satisfying.

I have been coming to Acapulco in Glendale for over twenty years. They have always provided excellent service, delicious food, and a festive ambiance. The value is good and they really treat customers as friends. This is one of very few restaurants that still give patrons a free entree on birthdays, if you are a member of their rewards program. So, sign up and make the value even better.

We ate at a Mexican buffet today and absolutely loved it. There were so many options to choose from everything from fresh salads to pozole and a great dessert selection. The drink options were just as good: orange juice, horchata, and piña agua fresca. Everything we tried was delicious. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We walked in and were seated right away, which was a great start. The ambiance really stood out.There was live mariachi music, which gave the place a fun, authentic, and lively vibe. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot we'd come back to.

I don't know how this place is still in business. This had to be some of the worst over priced Mexican food in Glendale. If you're just going for margaritas it's great but skip the food. The waiters are pushy and unaware of their guest. If you're just looking for a margarita and chips it's cool but nothing else.

Tableside guac was good. Carne asada taco was so disappointing. Meat was dry overcooked crumbs . Taco was not warm the cheese was not even melted! Chips and salsa were good . Went at lunchtime hardly any one there

Yesterday, I was treated to a fantastic Sunday brunch at Acapulco on Pacific. Full parking lot. I feared we'd have a long wait. However, our hostess, Valerie, was terrific. She gave us advice to call for reservations. But she immediately found us a spot. Wait was less than five minutes. Her demeanor is the kind of person who takes this amount of care with everyone. We weren't special, but an hour later, she still knew who I was and at what table she'd seated us at. We blend in, but she's the type who pays attention and it shows. Valerie is one of the good guys/gals. In this age of self entitled folk, she's the opposite. She's not out to toot her own horn. But she takes a compliment with grace and appreciation. She does a great job because that's her; that's her way of thinking. "Do it well. Always." She's an asset.

It's been a long time for what ever reason. Nice to be back. It's always a good sign seeing a couple of the long term regular employees. The place is festive with nice music and the dining room is festive in it's coloring! I had a three item combo, it was good, the shredded beef taco was actually small chunks of beef and seemed "fatty" the Chile relleno and chicken taco were both good. We also ordered Carnitas which was always a favorite here. It was an ample portion and happily very lean, it was good. Service was ok, the great part was seeing long term busser/friend Alex! What a friendly great guy! We'll be back.

This is my spot to start the weekends right! After a long work week, you can't go wrong with Acapulcos happy hour! The vibes are always on point and perfect to start your date night! Montana our bartender always takes care of us and makes the drinks to perfection! The Fajitas are the best I have ever had! Recommend if you just want to have a good time out or just to have a relaxing day! Montana and the servers are the best!

Valerie is TOP TIER and the shining star as soon as you walked through the door! She went above and beyond to make sure my order was correct and did it with a smile! She deserves a raise/promotion! Thank you Valerie!!!

Buffet brunch it's amazing I 100 percent recommend it! ("Many" it's an amazing sever! Always making sure you always being taken care of!!!!!! Everything it's so delicious and fresh! I got my seafood trio order to-go. Was very appreciative of how carefully it was packed. With cellophane wrapping not just on the food container but also the sauce. It kept the food warm until I got to my destination. Thumbs up on taste, and portion was big enough for two. Would recommend this over the dry steak that I got last time. Cashier and manager were really nice and accommodating on a Wednesday evening. I don't live near this area but the happy hour menu makes me want to come back for some drinks in the near future.

I highly recommend coming to Acapulco!! Their happy hour prices are amazing and it's every day from 3pm-8pm!! I love getting their chicken quesadilla because it's filling for one person and it's super cheap. Service here is a plus. They're fast and efficient and really cater to your needs, even when they're busy. There's plenty of parking in their lot as well.

Valerie's energy is so contagious!!! She was very helpful when I called regarding my Postmates order. She was very accommodating for my vegetarian request. I love ordering from Acapulco - my family and I love eating in person and for take out. We really appreciate the help from Valerie and the whole team!!! 10/10 thank you!!

So I had an interview in Burbank so I decided to stop at Acapulco for a margarita and a taco. They serve the chips and I received my margarita blended. The chips taste of old oil and the margarita was so salty not the outside the actual margarita. I ordered a carnitas taco and not even into half of it and just that portion I did eat the meat was so tuff. I asked for some lime I got1. Proceed to eat the taco and the tortilla starts cracking and just tearing apart. I let the bartender know of the margarita and chips. He gives me new chips and I order a modelo on tap well when he went to serve it no beer he had to go and refill it. Wow wow wow!!! Acapulco get it together.

Food and salsa was super spicy, me and my family members were unable to enjoy the meal. Should not be that much spicy please.

Patrick was awesome! He showed us the happy hour options, so we ordered a few things. Everything tasted great. The outdoor patio seating is very nice, as well. We'll definitely be back!

My husband, friends, and family have been coming here for nearly 15 yrs and it never disappoints. This is a great place and we clearly love it. What makes it feel even more like home is the staff. One in particular has been our guy, he remembers our friends and family but more important, remembers us. Over 13 yrs we have become great friends with Elvis and to be honest, we literally will wait to make-sure we are seated in his section. He knows my food intolerances and has our drinks put in almost before we are seated. His quick service, fun loving attitude make our dinners or happy hours always that much more special. He has become our friend and we have enjoyed and truly cherish that he will go out of his way to make sure we or a big group we bring in have that much more fun and a special time. Acapulco is a gem and Elvis the crown jewel.

The food is always delicious. I have many favorites here. Chicken enchiladas, chicken flautas , & crunchy chicken taco. The chile relleno is really good. Also The flan dessert is so so delicious every time.

While we were visiting friends nearby itcwas decided we should dinner at this establishment, as it was close to our hotel and right off the highway. Once there, our party of five made reservations; it was about a 20 minute wait. No problem; they had seating inside. A family member and I sat outside. The outdoor bar area had a TV running the seats were comfortable as well, as it was a nice night out, so why not? When we got to our table, we ordered our food. They had a Burrito - Gigante, and I choose the Asada Burrito. Desert came in the form of an order of Deep Fried Ice Cream, which was a delight. Our server for the evening was Paco C; and although he was attentive, it seemed like he was one of the only servers out there, short staffed? Maybe. The place is great for larger groups, as well as smaller ones.

Fun, nostalgic vibe! Service was great, the food was brought out within minutes. We really enjoyed their tacos, as well as fajitas, the chips and salsa were tasty and so were the margaritas. Large restaurant with plenty of seating, great vibe, generous portions, and a good variety on their menu. Great option if you are looking for a no-frills fun family meal, ideal for large parties as well!

Delicious as always, with great service! The new happy hour menu has a lot of great items to choose from (missed a few photos of a couple items, because we were so excited and ate them right away ). New featured drinks were refreshing and tasty as well. Of course we finished off with an amazing dessert... YUMMY!!!

Acapulco Glendale is more than just a restaurant to my family, it's a place filled with decades of memories, and I truly hope management understands how important this location is to the community. We've been coming here for many years and have celebrated countless milestones at this restaurant. Birthdays, anniversaries, and even one of the most difficult days our family has faced. After my father passed away, we held a reception here because Acapulco was one of the few places left that still served the blended strawberry margaritas he loved. That meant a lot to us, and the staff treated our family with kindness during a very emotional time. Those kinds of experiences are something people never forget. I also want to recognize Paco, who recently served our table. Paco was exceptional, friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He checked on us regularly, made sure everything was right, and created the kind of positive experience that keeps customers coming back. Employees like Paco are a big reason why this location deserves to stay open. Another thing that makes this location special is the Saturday and Sunday Mexican buffet and Sunday brunch. Restaurants like this are becoming extremely rare. With the Sun Valley and Burbank Acapulco locations already gone, this Glendale location feels like the last place left offering this kind of weekend buffet experience for families. We come specifically for the Sunday brunch because it allows families to gather, enjoy great food, and spend time together at a reasonable price. Contrary to another recent review they DO sing happy birthday and provide a dessert for the person with a birthday in the group if it's requested. Maybe because they sat at the bar it wasn't an option but table service it absolutely is. I want to be very clear to management: it would be heartbreaking for this restaurant to close, especially if it were replaced by something like a car wash, something that there are easily at least 15 of in Glendale already. A car wash may generate revenue, but it does not build community, family traditions, or lifelong memories the way this restaurant does. Acapulco Glendale has been that place for many families, including mine. Please recognize the value of this location, the loyal customers who continue to support it, and the great employees like Paco who represent your brand so well. Restaurants like this are becoming rare, and once they're gone, they can't be replaced. I sincerely hope Acapulco Glendale remains open for many years to come so more families can continue creating the same memories we have.

My family loves Acapulco Restaurant in Glendale, CA. The food is excellent and delicious, food portions are plentiful and the pricing is very fair. There are so many delicious dishes here that it's hard to choose a favorite but the chicken tortilla soup as a starter is to die for! We love the staff at this very friendly neighborhood restaurant. They do a great job of working as a team to ensure you feel at home and are comfortable with your surroundings including the lively music. In particular, we love our server Federico - he is consistently attentive and timely to our dining needs, and looks for opportunities to ensure our dining experience is a delight. We enjoy dining at Acapulco several times a week. I rate this dining experience as 5/5!

Took my family for Sunday Brunch. We were greeted immediately by the very friendly hostess and seated right away. Our server welcomed us and took our drink orders. He checked on us the entire time we were there and cleared our plates constantly and made sure to check if we needed beverage refills. There were a lot of options and I did notice staff walking around and checking that all the food items were presentable and the areas were tidy and clean. I would come back again and try the $6 drinks, but if you're not a drinker, the abuelita hot chocolate is yummy!

Food was delicious, everything fresh, and made exactly how we ordered. Not only was the food yummy but our service was exceptional. Ask for Elvis, his service and food expertise was great. We had a great bday dinner for family. ​

Its been 4 years coming to this amazing place with the most amazing customer service experience. specially coming to see our best server at the bar location his name is Manny is a wonderful host. he makes you feel like family every time. thank you Manny you're the best

Sad news Acapulco will be closing due to being sold to a private family business called IN n OUT! ( employee gave us the news) Upon our arrival, Acapulco seemed rather busy. you could tell they were short staffed. We cam after a long day at universal studios Hollywood. I'm not so sure if it was due to short staffing but the serves took our drink order and then let us know that he would be bringing is another soda with that because he ( implied) we would ask for refills. I want to say i appreciated the anticipated need but it was the way that he went about it that really just left us with a not so good impression. Mind you it may just have been an overwhelming day for him. fast forward to taking our orders... i would like to say that majority of our party ordered their queso birria tacos, a seafood dish and a chimichanga. now he wrote it down on paper which was fine but somehow back in the kitchen the paper was lost and well after 45min of waiting he came back to tell us that the order was never fired ( submitted) and that he had to take our order again. about 15 mins later we started to get some of our food.. come to find out the seafood dish was burned and so that took another 15 mins. the server then offered to waive two dinner plates from the order. he comes back with the last dish and he offered us a guacamole ( on the house which we took and a dessert also on the house, to which we declined the dessert) 2hrs later and we are wrapping up our dinner. we asked for to go boxes and all was well until we received the check. the 2 dinner plates that he mentioned were not removed. did we make a big deal.. no but were were even more dissatisfied. we just wanted to get out of there already. service was not great and well we did not feel taken care of. I wish they would have left us missing this place and wanting to come back for more but that was not the case.

Acapulco is absolutely nostalgic to me and I'm so glad Glendale still has one! From the chips and salsa to the margaritas to the fajitas, everything tastes amazing here! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Food is always fresh and hot, and the portions are generous. On certain days they have deals like Margarita Mondays and happy hour. Reasonably priced too! Even when it's busier on a weekend dinner night, the service is still fast. Please add Acapulco to your list of places to try, it will not disappoint.

Really good experience, the restaurant was nice, and the hostess Valerie was amazing she was super friendly and helpful. She even recommended the 32 oz margarita togo and I loved it! 10/10 will come back again.

The new happy hour menu absolutely rocks. I love the street tacos paired with the Jalapeño Poppers! You must try the Bacon Chicken Skewers because they're phenomenal.The ambience is always amazing with Latin Vibes. Special shout out to Montana, Brandy, Sofiia. Manny, Carlos and Valerie for excellent customer service. Ruben puts his heart and soul into this business.

Chicken Tortilla soup, warmed our tummies as the temps got cooler. A shot of brandy for me, pumpkin bread pudding for her. Didn't have a to go cup for lemonade.

My 3 item combo of a crispy beef taco, carnitas enchilada and chile relleno was yummy, but my service with Valerie was incredible. I asked her about the private rooms and not only was she friendly, professional and super informative, sge wrote everything down for me. I definitely plan on hosting my next functions at the restaurant!

Excellent service. We really liked our server Patrick 'Byron'. As it was happy hour, we did some drinks and appetizers. Guac is on point. The chipotle sauce that came with the taquitos was excellent. The carne asada and cheese fries were very good and the flight of margaritas really hit the spot. Come taste and experience for yourselves. Btw the restaurant is very cozy and energetic!

I've come here a few times, and it never disappoints! Paco gas has been our server several times, and he always has the best attitude and is always so helpful to make good recommendations. We have tried the streak ams shrimp fajitas with rice and beans, and it is simply amazing! The refried beans are covered by melted cheese, and the shrimp and steak fajitas always arrive sizzlingnto perfected with onion and bell peppers. The grilled onions are soft and full of flavor! The warm tortillas are a perfect pair when they come fresh off the comal. If you're used to a small starter, then the tortilla chips with fresh salsa are a hit. They arrive at the table sizzling warm! Or maybe you're craving something more filling. The chicken tortilla soup is full of flavor and comes in different sizes to get you going. The facility is conveniently located right off the 134 off the Pacific exit, and there's so much parking . Street parking is always an option as well. There's outside patio seating for brunches or for the summer night dinners , or you can come inside. There are tables , booths and a bar! Wherever you choose to sit, you're sure to have a good time. The games are always playing on the televisions by the bar, or you can take yourself to acapulco with the Mexican music playing. Whatever you choose, you're guaranteed a good time full of flavor , so come on down for your next dinner date.
