"Over the years, the gastronomic quality of this excellent restaurant has been confirmed and even increased. The cuisine is basic Piedmontese (the ravioli del plin are excellent), with the addition of a few seafood dishes and some more technical courses (such as rabbit à la royale). In fact, solidity and growth are mainly due to the passion of the histrionic owner, Nicola Mecca, who is polite and passionate and also adept at providing pertinent suggestions on Monferrato wines and his beloved Champagnes. Naturally, we would also highlight the location itself, which offers some very fascinating insights: inside a late 18th-century aristocratic palace, you enter the first floor by climbing an imposing staircase, while with your nose to the sky you enjoy the all-Italian beauty of the frescoed ceilings." - Michelin Inspector
Amazing restaurant that did special courses for my vegan wife. We had a great time. Outstanding dishes at more than fair prices. Also very good wine recommendations. Everyone is extremely professional and kind. Strongly recommended we will for sure come back.

We came here as per suggestion and it was an amazing experience from service to meals and atmosphere. Just it is a little tricky to recognise the restaurant at the address so keep your eyes open 😊 Google maps is correct just step in from the big gate and go ahead you will see big steps to this amazing restaurant with the most polite waiters.

I had the Menu Degustazione for lunch.
The food was of highest quality as was the wine. The highlight was the Veal Cheek for sure. It's so soft, it falls apart the moment you touch it.
Besides the food the service is very friendly and the location unique.

This place is a surprise at every turn, hidden away in an old building with fantastic art, glorious ceilings and flowing stairways.
The restaurant experience lives up to the opening scene.
Table service was excellent, we were told about how the meat was prepared, recommended wine and kindly explained the cheese board.
Over all it surpasses expectations and is an experience that i will definately have again.

Crazy setting, incredible taste and an amazing service!!
I had the BEST steak of my life which was a veal fillet with a bed of sweet bread (very buttery) and apples, topped with foie gras and a side of carrot purée. “Filetto Accademico”. Highly recommend, you will be beyond impressed.

One of the best food experiences I had in a while. Everything, from service to food to atmosphere, is simply perfect. The owner, Nicola, is so knowledgeable. Try out his champagnes (I know, this is the land of Barolo, but still…)

Difficult to rate as I really wanted to give a better review but I can’t. The combinations of the ingredients in each dish is just not umami - it’s full on powerhouse each tiny bit on the plate and after 3 dishes like that you get really tired. It needs finessed and a sense of understanding how to combine the ingredients to elevate instead of downgrading the courses. Sad as the setting is cost and the service is good.
