"Serving Italian cuisine in a comfortable Art Nouveau setting, Acetaia takes its name from the aged balsamic vinegar you will find on sale here. Walkers will enjoy a stroll along the Nymphenburger Canal to the palace with its lovely grounds." - Michelin Inspector

We dined at Acetaia in Munich, and it was a fantastic alternative to the traditional Bavarian beer halls which we'd been to on the previous evening. This Michelin Guide-listed Italian restaurant is tucked away in a beautifully designed art deco space that feels both sophisticated and cosy. The service was warm and attentive, even though English wasn’t widely spoken and there was no English menu — thankfully, Google Translate handled things smoothly. We opted for the 4-course tasting menu and were thoroughly impressed. Each course was thoughtfully composed and elegantly presented: • Yellowtail tuna sashimi with a Mediterranean marinade of capers and olives — fresh and flavorful • Homemade pecorino ravioli with butter, marjoram, and their signature aged balsamic vinegar — rich and utterly delicious • Black cod with stuffed zucchini flowers, fennel, and lemon foam — perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced • A creative dessert trio featuring crème brûlée, banana bread, and cocoa zabaglione — a sweet finish We also chose the Italian wine pairing, which complemented each course wonderfully and showed a lot of thought and expertise. Overall, Acetaia is an excellent choice for anyone seeking fine Italian dining in Munich. It’s an ideal spot for a special occasion or simply a refined evening out. Highly recommended! Google
The only restaurant in Munich where I’ve experienced 10/10 service. Italians always know how to do everything right and with style. The service was very professional and friendly, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it!

Editing my previous review. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Acetaia. Each course of our meal was exceptional, from the bread (+ aged balsamic) and accompaniments to perfectly cooked branzino and tortellini. And the dessert was just the right portion and full of flavor. The quality of the food was matched by the service and warming nature of the staff. We felt welcome and well cared for from start to finish. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal.

This restaurant came as a recommendation and I was excited to try it out. Firstly, the restaurant and garden is stunning and the service is on the highest level possible! It is a real treat and definitely great for a special occasion. The menu is pleasant with plenty to choose from. However, I must say that it really is incredibly expensive and the portion sizes are also just too small. I usually can't finish 2 courses but here, I've had 3, and a little greeting from the kitchen, and I could have had more. and for €100 per person, (we had 3 glasses of wine between us 2), it is not quite justifiable to me. A real real treat with very lovely food, a beautiful setting and old-school charming and attentive service

Been there several times and very friendly waiter, blended with humor and classic Italian food journey. They also have top red wine collection including the famous Sassicaina and Masseto ;)

A beautiful little gem of a restaurant! The staff was kind, attentive, and enthusiastic about their food and the food was outstanding. We had the ravioli, asparagus salad, pappardelle, and the fish. The pasta was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Yelp
one of my very favorite places for a nice dinner in munich. excellent service, amazing food and a decent location. i am still looking forward to make it in summer days too to visit them -- to enjoy their nice outer area. so yes, i need to come back as soon as we can do so again.

Yelp
Acetaia's dining room nestled in a quiet Munich neighborhood is very special; small, intimate and romantic. It is hard to beat the special ambiance here. They have a great wine list but the Chef's Italian food is eccentric, complicated and inventive. We selected the items that were the least complicated which included thin strips of calamari sautéed on a bed of black crunchy rice (a very strange dish); thin pieces of beef carpaccio that was served with large radishes and a large dollop of Dijon Mustard placed in large mounds on the beef overpowering the flavour of the delicate meat and ruining the dish; 3 gigantic ravioli filled with a shockingly large quantity of cheese making it difficult to enjoy since the ratio of cheese to noodle was so extreme it had no resemblance to real ravioli where you can also savour the ravioli noodle. The aged balsamic vinegar from Modena was drizzled on the ravioli and is truly delicious, but was lost in the sea of cheese. My thought throughout the meal was that the Chef must not like (or eat) Italian cuisine. It's a mystery. There are no traditional appetizers or pasta entrees on his menu and his opinion of "al dente"pasta is a noodle that is not completely cooked and is crunchy. I was surprised to find my spaghetti aglio e olio (which I asked to be made "off menu" after my ravioli entree which I didn't enjoy) uncooked. A restaurant needs more then charm, ambiance and great wine, it requires (in my opinion) a few traditional entrees (or at least one) that we all know and love that is simple and delicious. It would also have been nice to have a simple green salad on the menu. In the final analysis, it's worth going to Acetaia if only to share a beautiful bottle of wine in an amazing venu.

Yelp
Two of us ate here on a Sunday. The place is beautiful. The food good. Service not so great. We sat awhile with no water or menus. Our older waiter was a bit cranky. We made a reservation for four through our hotel but but only two showed up. He was not happy about that. We both chose the smaller fixed price menu but he said it was only for lunch. The bigger fixed price menu was too much food. So I got the ravioli and my friend got the duck. We got through bread and 3 muse bouche before our wine came. Bad timing- he obviously forgot our wine. The bread was awesome and served warm. There were three kinds. The thee muse bouche were a meat on a bread stick (liked like a piece of raw bacon), a friend rice ball, and a test tube of juice of carrot apple, and lemon juice. The duck entree was a masterpiece. The duck was perfectly prepared and came with some beets, potatoes and onion. The ravioli came three to an order which was a good size. The filling was creamy and the noodle al dente. They took forever to do the balsamic drizzle on top. Literally two tables before me got the drizzle and then he forgot. I had to flag him down again. The chocolate caramel dessert was the best dessert of my entire Munich trip. Wow. Even thought they give you a complimentary small scoop of chocolate gelato after the meal, it was still worth ordering this dessert. They called a cab for us afterward and that went smoothly. I want to give this more stars, but the service was so bad.
