Achilles Coffee in Solana Beach is an absolute gem! I had the breakfast burrito, and it was delicious—hearty, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to start the day right. I also loved their signature orange coffee cups, a fun touch that really stands out and adds personality to the experience. The seating area is super convenient and comfortable, perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. Great food, great vibes, and friendly service—definitely a 5-star spot!

Achilles coffee in Solana Beach has great coffee and delicious food. We had the Harbor Island with bacon instead of ham and the Hillcrest. Both were made fresh and sooo good. The brioche bun was epic! They were definitely busy on a Saturday morning with bikers, families, and dog owners enjoying the day. This Achilles is in the middle of the parking lot but has plenty of seating include a rooftop! We will be back!

On lot parking is limited, there are additional parking on the street before turning in. The Broadway smoothie size is generous. Has a very strong taste of peanut butter. But still refreshing. Awesome coffee and food spot in Solana Beach! Good parking, great coffee, incredible food. We tried the Hillcrest breakfast sandwich, cinammon roll pancakes and a honey-cinnamon latte with oatmilk. Service was excellent! Everyone was really welcoming and friendly. The coffee was absolutely perfect. A well made drink perfectly balanced between the all the flavors. The coffee is smooth and creamy, no hint of overbitterness or hyperacidity. The food was amazing. Everything was well portioned for the price and the pancakes were the perfect sweetness level. We’ll be back!

Cute shop! No indoor seating, only outdoor. The inside is small, so if you are bigger or have mobility restrictions, this may be hard for you. The food was good, we got the Coronado sandwich and the Harbor Island sandwich. I also got a mocha, which was a little bitter but still pretty good. Short wait, and not too difficult to find parking! Will be coming here again.

My husband and I both had the delicious scrambled eggs alongside side of scrambled egg and cucumbers for our little ones. The welcoming staff and excellent coffee made the experience even more enjoyable. We're looking forward to coming back!

The coffee+ food visually are appealing. I was not a huge fan of the coffee as it was just lacking overall flavor but not bad otherwise. I had the turkey sandwich with fig compote and tomatillo. Honestly the sandwich was just bland, The veg was not super fresh and the compote added a sweetness that did not fit the overall flavor profile.

Pros: amazing staff, plenty of parking, good coffee, good food, decent amount of house outside parking Cons: all their food is put on to go containers are compostable but they have no recycling compostable options for disposable. Otherwise, the perfect place will definitely be back

Small but very cute coffee hang! Located on the middle of a large plaza where the local work out peeps gang. Cyclists and yoga groups come there and it's great seating and feel good vibes right near the ocean. The service was great and this place gets packed!

a stop we go to on our way to san diego every time! their cold brew discontent really up our alley but the lattes and food is delicious. The environment is very welcoming and everyone is super kind! The space is kind of small but it it doesn't take away from the experience. there's plenty of seating outside for those who want to stay. parking has been an issue in the past but it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes for something to pop up.

Such an incredible rip off! Today I purchased an Açaí Bowl for $12.95 and not only did the container look super small, it was only filled about 30%. Took me less than 12 small bites to eat my "bowl" (small cup) and not only was the service bad, the bowl tasted less than satisfactory. A few of my colleagues at the office shared their frustrations over the same thing - I guess shorting us is their thing! I frequent this spot often and to be honest, the service is never great. Today the staff member working seemed stressed and probably could have used more support. I rarely write reviews, yet felt compelled to write this one because it was such a disappointing experience. I also need to go grab ANOTHER bite to eat before I get hangrier!

$7.00 Small Hot Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk - for a small size $7 vanilla latte (basic) is kind of expensive, but I think they charge extra for non dairy milk. My first time having hot oat milk and I think oat milk is better cold. I like that this latte wasn't burn your mouth hot and the latte art was very cute. The lady working today was very thorough in asking my preferences. And she listed out the long list of different milks they have. They ask you your name and will call your name when the coffee is ready. The area where you pick a lid, coffee holder, etc is clean and organized. Good spot for a coffee! I came early and they had a lot of people sitting out already but a small line. So my drink came out fast.

Achilles is a nice little coffee shop in Solana beach. I ordered the Aztec. A cold brew based concoction. The good: the drink was good. There was ample outdoor seating. Parking was easy to find as well. The workers were very nice and gave us recommendations based on what we liked. The not so good: the coffees took a while to make (10-15 minutes). If you're in a rush in the morning it may not be a good stop but if you're looking for a relaxing Sunday it is great.

Awesome little coffee spot in Solana Beach. The Bankers Hill sando stole the show for me but I also enjoyed the El Cortez. It tasted a little funky but in a good unique way. Reminds me a little of Philz given their unique cold brews and non-espresso drinks. Great place to try something different in a world full of cookie-cutter coffee shops!

This place is just totes adorbs! I walked here every morning while staying in Solana Beach and everything I had was wonderful. The Americano was bold and smooth and their flavored lattes were tasty and came out just as ordered (oat milk and less sweet). They have a cute little seating area with umbrellas and share for you and the pups and staff was great each time I visited!

Nice outdoor coffee breakfast stand. I ordered a beautiful, fresh pour over coffee latté and a jalapeño pepper bagel with avocado. Customer service was friendly and helpful with Austin. Unfortunately, I drove away before checking my bagel, which had PEANUT BUTTER and not avocado as I had asked, so always check your order before leaving. I'm wondering if they thought it was a strange order, a jalapeño bagel with peanut butter. I'm so disappointed. I feel like calling and asking for a refund. An avocado and jalapeño pepper bagel would've been amazing for my long drive back to Riverside. Will I be back? Yes, for their fresh pou over coffee only; if I happen to be in this area ever again. I'll post a photo of the peanut butter jalapeño bagel later, bleck!

I freaking love this place! The food and drinks are so delicious. I also love the staff, Lorenzo is sooooo freaking sweet! I love to come here after working out and get the park west with a matcha tea. Its always busy here but its worth the wait.

13APR2024 @ around 1030AM. My girlfriend and I were driving up the coast for some R&R time. I noticed the signed and wanted to try it. We stopped in and were greeted by Austin(cashier) and Lorenzo(barista). We didn't know what we wanted so my girlfriend asked "what's your favorite/go to drink?" My girlfriend got a cappuccino and I got the "Finest City" cold brew w/ 2 extra shots of expresso. Both drinks were delicious, we were not disappointed! The drinks were made to order and we got our drinks fairly quickly. The ambiance of the establishment itself is actually pretty nice for its size. It's really in the middle of a parking lot! I love this place and would come here every morning if I lived in the area. Thank you to Austin and Lorenzo for a great first time experience. Overall rating: 8.5 of 10. My favorite part was the rooftop seating!

Friendly service! Opted for a vanilla latte - and while this wasn't my favorite cup of coffee, I definitely think it's worth a try for anyone who likes local coffee spots! Super tiny inside (no seats) but there are options right in front.

I stopped in for breakfast. I am familiar with Achilles given I have been a patron sine they first open their doors here in San Diego. I even remember the coffee cart. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon. It was a tasty burrito and I appreciated them offering the spinach tortilla, but unfortunately they forgot several or there was a lack of ingredients in the burrito. For example, there was barley any white cheddar, if any at all, and no tomatoes and onions in the burrito. I really wanted those tomatoes and onions. Honestly, I could not find the cheese at all. In addition, the "breakfast" burrito needed more scrambled eggs in it. More eggs and less potatoes here would be a good thing. The burrito cost $12. Service was friendly. This location only offers outside seating.

I got their breakfast burrito with ham, and it was filling. Their salsa added a good kick, but otherwise it needed a little something in the flavor department. The workers were friendly and made good recommendations. I would come back to try their lunch menu.

Achilles is a tender, popular little joint right by the Pacific. With long lines, you are guaranteed to catch up with old friends! You can also spend your time waiting in line by perusing the diverse menu. My bestie girl and I ordered iced vanilla lattes, both were delicious and most definitely Crafted for a Warrior! Bestie girl ordered the Banker's Hill breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful, cheesy meal. However, would have preferred it ordered without the fig jam (she's not a sweet + savory combo girly, respectfully). I ordered the breakfast burrito (no cheese, lactose free gang) and on a spinach tortilla with avocado as the protein of choice. It was delicious and still offered a moist texture even without the cheese! Will definitely be returning VERY SOON!

Service was friendly and fast. Egg scramble was huge and tasty. The sour dough toast was surprisingly satisfying. I got the iced finest City cold brew... meh. Very little coffee taste. For $7.50 I would have expected more coffee in my coffee. Outdoor seating is nice.

Cute little coffee shop stand in the middle of a plaza in solana beach. I go to pilates in this plaza so it's really nice to have a coffee or matcha option! The El Cortez is not too sweet and has a nice mint and cardamom flavor. The wait can get a little long on the weekends but definitely worth trying! There's free parking all around!

Great pick-me-up after my yoga class in the same plaza! I've been here few times and have tried the Honey-Cinnmon latte and Aztec, which is a cold brew with Mexican chocolate. Drinks are made on the spot and give me the boost I need for the day. Service is always nice from the two gentleman that were there during my visits. Just a few outdoor seating. Noticed a lot of people bring their pups too. Input your number for their rewards program

Chill little coffee bar on a nice walk from my hotel this morning. They also have breakfast yet I wasn't hungry. Lots of locals here so you know it's good! Shop is clean and well stocked, sunny and easy to navigate. I'll be back!!

We stopped by this morning to get coffee. There was a line but it moved quickly. The staff was super nice and friendly. We ordered one cinnamon vanilla latte and one honey cinnamon latte. Both were delicious and strong. My husband and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to returning and trying other drinks.

Awesome selection of craft roasted beans, and the baristas were super helpful and friendly in helping me find the roast that best-suited my tastes.

Achilles is expanding throughout San Diego county, so I was glad to see they're in North County now. My husband and I frequent the 4th, B Street and Ash Street locations at least once a week and now can add the Solana branch to our rotation. The two ladies working last week were super friendly, helpful and prompt. My hubby ordered the usual Large Iced Vanilla Almond Milk Latte while I opted for a matcha lemonade. Their matcha is on point, very tasty, not too overpowering and pairs well with the bright lemonade. They have a few benches outside covered with umbrellas and an ample amount of parking shared with other businesses.

We did a stay-cation (I hate that stupid term) in Solana and stopped by here both mornings we were in the area. They had fantastic locally-roasted coffee and super tasty breakfast sammiches. This is small spot with a few outdoor seats and friendly people working there. Everyone was quite friendly. The coffee took a tiny bit long, but not something you'd really complain about. Definitely a spot you'd want to frequent if you're in the area (not 15 whole minutes away like we are, haha)

Good stuff: - the coffee i ordered was delicious - the breakfast sandwich had the most delicious aioli ever! - the staff was nice! Other stuff: - a very busy location. We did have to wait a little bit for our food! - no indoor seating, more of a walk up window location! Definitely recommend!!

Quality coffee, places to sit outside and friendly staff (shout out to Lorenzo, Austin and Elise for making a mean cup of joe). I like their breakfast sandwiches and açaí bowl. Dog friendly with treats for pups as well!

I've been here twice. The first time I got a breakfast burrito with bacon and iced Cabrillo. The burrito was good except I couldn't see any bacon. I did taste tiny bits of saltiness with a hint of bacon. The drink was good but wish it had a little more mint in it. Decided to give the spot a second try with the finest city. Didn't taste vanilla or cinnamon (but I could see some of the cinnamon). With that said it tasted like coffee with lots of cream. Not sure I'd give it a 3rd try. There's other coffee shops in walking distance that I prefer.

I always like the food here. It's hearty and typically I can get two breakfasts out of their "skillet" breakfast. Try the dollar pancakes - those are the bomb!

Customer service is a hit and miss in this cafe. Unlike Lofty coffee across the street, Achilles does not feature freshly baked pastries. Actually, there are no pastries on display. There is a food menu, but nothing that appeals. The espresso-based drinks are okay, my favorite is the dirty chai because it masks the espresso taste haha. The Pour-over coffees are nice, with a splash of creamer. Not as good as Philz of course.

The coffee was good. We got 3 different lattes, iced and hot, and a couple of pour over. So we had a good sampling. We had to wait 30 mins to order food because the cook was on break. I think they should put a sign or something to let people know the cook is on break and when he'll be back. We didnt mind waiting although it would have been nice to have our breakfast with coffee. The food was ok. Expensive for what you're getting. I got the cinn roll pancakes. They did not look like the photos in Yelp or Google but they were good. We also ordered french toast, eggs, and burrito. All good. Service was friendly. I'd maybe go back for the coffee but not the food.

Great coffee, awesome sandwich, and the workers are kind/helpful. Def glad I found a new spot to grab breakfast or brunch. Also to add feels like a great family plaza/safe area. They are pretty quick not more than 5 min wait.

Achilles has some of the best coffee around! When we saw they were coming to Solana Beach we were so excited! You cannot go wrong with any of their coffee drinks. They are all excellent! The oat milk latte is my go to. But all of their espresso drinks are incredible. The food is also amazing!! Super fresh and just easy to pick up and go! They definitely fulfill all of your breakfast and lunch cravings. They also have a great gluten free bread option for those that need it!! We will for sure be regulars. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.

The Avocados were hard, and the potatoes were under cooked. If ever in the area again, we would give this place one more try due to the atmosphere..they have a little rooftop eating area.
