We can't in for Brunch today for the first time and I was blown away by how Amazing everything was. I had The Isle of palms. Blackened shrimp & sausage over The Truffled cheese grits. It was bursting with absolutely amazing flavor and hands down the best grits I have ever eaten!!! Just Wow💜💜 Highly recommend. I also had a Cocktail called the pain killer, delicious! And the Staff were so friendly and just a wonderful experience all around.

Google
The quality of the food is good but nothing that will blow you away. We had the light house and the Creole seafood broil. All the seafood mains were just a tad overcooked leading to a firmer than ideal feel. The seasoning across the board was good, everything was tasty and didn't leave me wanting more. The French fries were delicate, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The coastlaw was fresh, light, and had a nice airy feel. Overall the food is good but nothing special, at this price point you would expect an extra 10% out of the execution of these dishes.

Google
This was amazing seafood. It started out with the wedge, which was a beautiful presentation and delicious. My wife and I had the mahi-mahi and the swordfish which were terrific. Very light and flavorful. I had a side of grilled shrimp which was just OK because there wasn’t a lot of flavor but the rest of the food, including the sweet cornbread was pretty awesome. I would highly recommend eating here.

Google
Due to the time change that we had forgotten activate low country kitchen was getting ready to close at. 3:00 they were so cordial and still let us order so we quickly scanned the menu and ordered. The whole experience was relaxing, delightful and best of all great food. We tried the shrimp and cheesy grits with fried green tomatoes and the haddock sandwich. Portions are very generous.

Google
Absolutely out of this world delicious. Five+ stars easily and a favorite in the Charleston area. Our server was sweet, attentive, and very helpful in helping make decisions. The location had onsite parking, plenty of seating, and was great for both indoor and outdoor. The food and drink were UNREAL delicious, especially the desserts I wish we lived nearby and could go weekly! Will absolutely be back!

Google
Acme is a friendly local beach restaurant. Unlike many local establishments, the food was not greasy or over-seasoned. It was just quality, fresh and well prepared. Seafood was fresh and cooked right. Even the cheesey grits - were light and flavorful. Excellent service

Google
Food and service were amazing. The seafood was perfect and the grits were the best I've had. Even my daughter's short rib kids dinner was so delicious. Our waitress was the best. This is a must if you are in the area.

Google
Fantastic. Friendly server, cozy coastal environment, and the best meal I had my entire trip. I got the ‘Isle of Palms’ shrimp and grits and my mom got ‘The Kraken’. The truffle cheese grits were phenomenal and the shrimp alongside the sausage and just everything all together were seasoned perfectly and so good. Please do yourself a favor and stop by here! Portion sizes are also massive, you won’t leave hungry.

Yelp
Easily top 5 restaurants I've been to in my life. The food was incredible. Local fish, authentic southern/low country cuisine. Relaxed but classy vibe. Waitstaff were very quick and attentive. Fairly priced, good selection of local craft beer. Our waiter was very to the point and honest, and shared with us that many staff members come to eat there on their days off because they enjoy it so much. HIGHLY recommend. Will absolutely be back, and telling everyone about it.

Yelp
I've had the good fortune to eat here a few times and really have enjoyed my visits. It has a casual roadhouse feel, and beachy atmosphere. Food is primarily focused on local seafood such as shrimp but you can find pecan crusted fried chicken, steaks or braised short ribs. I've tried a few versions of the shrimp and grits and haven't been disappointed. There were a lot of families during our recent and there was a wait when we arrived. It seems popular with visitors staying at the beach nearby.

Yelp
It's been a long time since we've been here. I was so looking forward to this night of enjoying some good seafood based on past meals & the current reviews. Unfortunately it didn't happen. It was busy due to it's popularity and of course loud. Was crowding the cause?? Not sure. Our server was very good tho. The drinks, grits and collards were very good but the fried Shrimp & Oysters were overcooked. So disappointed. The others seafood was also disappointing-dry and not the best flavor. I'm just so bummed out. We just don't like to complain. We will stick with other establishments. Parking is limited.

Yelp
The food was good and the service was great. I enjoyed my fried catfish and collards. Where I am from, my collards are not sweet. The sweetness enhanced the flavor.

Yelp
This restaurant is an experience. Well let's start with the reservation, I made reservation for 9:15pm about a week before the date we chosen, I wish I can get an earlier reservation. Well they reached out to me and ask if I want an earlier reservation and moved the reservation to 8pm. I already experienced some great service before even eating here. Once I arrived they sit us down immediately, there are still lines waiting to get into the restaurant at 8pm. The restaurant might not look much from the outside but it is clean and busy. The staff were all excellent. Then comes the food, the quality of the seafoods are all fresh and amazing. I can eat dozens of those fresh oysters and peel n eat shrimp I can go through 10 plates, they are cooked right and seasoned just right. We also ordered the Lighthouse Trio, the crab cake was full of crab meat and seasoned right, the shrimp tasted great also cooked differently from the peel n eat ones. The only disappointment is the scallops, just little more salty than I like, but I can still tasted the freshness of the scallops, also I still ate it all. There is a reason why this place is a success. Why can't all the restaurants have this type of great services, atmosphere, food, and care! I absolutely love this place.

Yelp
Amazing food and atmosphere! We come here every year that my family vacations to IOP and it's a must.

Yelp
This is a place that must be busy anytime it's open. And rightfully so. This place is great. We got there before it opened, before 8am, and there was already a line. The breakfast was awesome. The service was spot on, very attentive, and the food was delicious. Would be very interested in coming again for lunch/dinner, so I could try more things on the menu. This is probably a place, very similar to Pages Okra, that everything on the menu is delicious. Also, the grits are amazing.

Yelp
This restaurant certainly is a must-go if visiting IOP. Our first attempt to walk up for reservations at 6 PM netted us a 2 hour wait time. We decided to go elsewhere, but grabbed takeout lunch from here the next day. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. We ordered IOP shrimp and grits and corn beef hash and walked over to the beach for lunch. We had such a great lunch experience that we came back later in the week for dinner and put in our name for reservations at 5 PM. Our family went shopping down the street as we waited for our text alert. We were luckily able to sit outside under the covered patio area. The ambience of the restaurant is a typical beach like flair. The service was very good and we were always checked on by our server. For dinner we ordered the Carolina Duo and substituted Brussel sprouts for collard greens. Wow this was good and a huge plate of food. The beef was superb. We also ordered the Pecan-crusted Haddock. This was also excellent and recommended. Overall, this restaurant is excellent. The menu is vast and it's quite difficult to make a selection. I highly recommend trying one of the shrimp and grits meals. It was actually the best shrimp and grits meal I had on my entire Charleston visit and I tried a few others.

Yelp
We were able to snag a reservation on the day of for brunch and it was totally worth it. It's a casual ambiance and family friendly. The food we ordered was incredible. The holy city hash came with corned beef, fried eggs, and the most amazing smoked Gouda cream. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly crispy and flavorful. The wedge salad was enormous. The truffle grits were amazing as well. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Ron E.

Yelp
Second visit fin a month. The food and service is excellent. I had the Pecan Crusted Haddock - words fail to describe how delicious this entree tasted. Live 2 1/2 hours from this restaurant but it is definitely worth the trip. Trying to find an excuse to another road trip to Acme! Veterans remember to ask for your food discount.

Yelp
My husband had one of their shrimp and grit dishes (the one with blacked shrimp and sausage). It was sooooo yummy. The cheesy grifts and the smoky seasoning made it! I had the fried shrimp and pimento grits, and that was fantastic as well. Will absolutely return!
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant has THE BEST Shrimp and Grits in Charleston. Yes it's a little removed on Folly island, but it's worth the drive! The grits were creamy, but not over buttered, and there was a ton of shrimp and sausages, perfectly blackened and seasoned (not over salty). The shrimp was so juicy and fat! We tried the Charleston Shrimp and Grits (there were 7 options total). The grits were complemented so well by purple onions and cherry tomatoes. We also tried the broiled seafood, which was haddock, shrimp, and scallops. There were 6 whole scallops good-sized, lightly cooked with butter and white wine. The shrimp in this dish was well done and there were a ton of pieces. The halibut special had a great peach salsa, and the fish was so tender! The sides we tried were: fried Brussels sprouts, fries, cornbread, and collared greens - all were delicious, using the freshest of vegetables. Our server was extremely patient, sweet, and knowledgeable about the menu. We were seated quickly. There's options for indoor seating, covered patio, and outdoor patio. There's free parking behind and in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on my day trip to Charleston to see my cousin. It was such a cool little place. Nestled right next to some other restaurants and close to the beach in Isle of Palms, Acme Lowcountry boasts a huge menu of southern cuisine for brunch and other meals. I had to the Holy City Hash, which is extremely popular. It comes with a drizzled Gouda on top of fried eggs, home fries, and an in house braised corned beef that holds so much flavor. Our server was great. Had good recommendations and awesome service for us. Overall would definitely try this place if you're taking a day beach trip out in Isle of Palms!

Yelp
Another great return visit here! We made a reservation, but they keep 60-70% of their restaurant open for walk ins at all times (according to their website). I ordered pancakes with sausage. The pancakes were cooked to perfection and tasted so good. Our server was very nice and all the dishes came out quickly. This place is bright and buzzing with customers. Highly recommend if you're looking for a local breakfast place in Isle of Palms.

Yelp
This was a good dinner. The staff is friendly, and the food was good. We ordered the key lime pie to go, it's okay. It's not the best I've ever had but it wasn't the worst either. The crust was very crumbly and as noted by family members, you can hardly call it key lime pie without any whipped cream. The lack of the sweet cream to balance the tart pie made this okay but not out of this world or better than I could make at home. I had the whistle stop shrimp and grits. The shrimp were good but not perfectly clean so I had to pick pieces of shell off a few of them. The grits are okay, and the fried green tomatoes were soggy on one side. So okay on flavor but the presentation and finished result were not first rate. We shared a Caesar salad, not bad but again not anything I couldn't make at home. To earn a 5 star it had to be something I long to eat again with stellar service. I would go back, I would not order dessert to go again. But it was worth trying again when in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the Isle of Palms Shrimp & Grits, which was delicious; I really enjoyed the combination of blackened shrimp, smoked sausage, tomatoes & onions over truffle cheese grits. I also tried some of the fried flounder and the salmon from the "Fried East Coast Seafood" section, but the salmon lacked flavor especially in comparison to the flounder and the shrimp and grits. The service was standard, and the table we were seated at had some trash lying around the area.
google avatar

Jay N.

Yelp
Absolute must! We started with the Southern Homies (potatoes cooked perfectly, smoked gouda gave it the perfect flavor, big enough to share). The Isle of Palms shrimp and grits were honestly the best grits I've ever had. The rich cajun flavor, super creamy/cheesy grits, perfectly cooked shrimp, and tasty sausage combine well. The Dozer was also exceptional. The biscuit was soft and delicious, the sausage gravy was very flavorful, and the chicken breast was juicy and large. The staff was super friendly with great recommendations. It was so good we had to come back the next day. The Triple Dog Dare didn't disappoint, either. So much flavor tasted fresh and had a large portion size. The Gouda cream takes it to another level. The server was super friendly, and despite the full House that evening, the owner was willing to cram us in if we wanted to return a third time. If I still lived in Charleston, this restaurant would be a weekend tradition.

Yelp
Our gang of 3 enjoyed Acme Lowcountry Kitchen in IOP on a busy Saturday nite during the off-season. Reservations are essential. Friendly, attentive service. Casual setting and can accommodate large groups. Our request to be re-tabled away from a noisy, large table was accommodated no problemo. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Private parking can be limited, and expect to walk. Enjoyed appetizer of Wedge Salad (no ground pepper offered) and an egg roll special. Dinner was 1) Roasted Scallops and asparagus served over shrimp & ham Pirlou in a decadently rich butter sauce, 2) Fried Pecan Chicken Breasts, and 3) Grouper Special with choice of sides. Would order scallops again. Wide selection of brewskies, and simple wine list. We chose Sonoma Cutrer from the Russian River Valley. Alert: Acme Lowcountry Kitchen is loud especially on the enclosed/covered patio. Next visit, I would dine off-hours for a quieter experience. Overall good value, and will return.

Yelp
Sister and I starving after a flight into Charleston; wanted good, local cooking for our bellies on the way to Myrtle Beach on a Sunday afternoon. Came upon this place after being unable to find parking at our first choice. Not disappointed! Cute, laid back "shack" building with lots of historical info on the walls. Seated in the back near a window. Not a full restaurant so nice for conversation. Ordered a sweet and an unsweet tea, though they both came out sweet and one had to be sent back. Had the crab dip for an app. A little too creamy and not enough crab/flavor, but we ate it, because it was good enough when you're hungry. Split the scallops on truffle grits with asparagus. The scallops could not have been more perfect! Not dry, nicely seasoned. Neither of us had had truffle grits, so it was an adventure and we liked them. Asparagus were cooked just right. We cleaned that plate. The only drawback to the entire experience is every time we had to ask our server for something - swap the tea, extra napkins, the check - we felt like we were being an inconvenience. She could have had too many tables, or we could have been reading something into nothing, just a subtle vibe. Anyway, would totally return and recommend.

Yelp
Always great food and great service. Christine the bartender is the best, always cheerful and upbeat. Been coming for years and have never been disappointed.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great service. Plenty of free parking. Improve on cleaning glass and sweeping floors. All in all if you want an incredible meal stop by and try it for yourself.
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best food we've ever had! For starters - we tried fried green tomatoes and cold crab dip. Both were great but the tomatoes were amazing. Entree - broiled seafood platter, blackened shrimp and pimento grits with greens, kids meal short ribs. We got some peach bbq sauce for the kiddo to dip in and that was amazing. Wait was 40 minutes on a summer Monday evening. Perfect time to run an errand and come back. So worth the wait! Ambience varied, was pretty loud where we sat but it was good for two adults and a kid.
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
I've eaten here many times and never have reviewed. I love this place. It's always delicious! Today I ordered the crab cake Benedict. So flavorful with a lot of crab! I prefer breakfast here I think over dinner. Great place to stop and eat. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a quick low country shrimp & grits and fried oysters, both were good. Service was good and well, ambience was dated building and could tell heavy traffic daily so showing age and some slightly lopsided tables. Across the street from ocean blvd and windjammer where we attended a concert and celebrated a friend's birthday!

Fred Y.

Yelp
Shrimp and grits were grrrreat. Added a side of collards to make it even better. Local selection of canned and bottled beer. Very glad I went. David was a great server!
google avatar

Yelp
Great little spot on IOP. It is walkable if you are staying near the water. They have two bars and a nice covered patio. It has fans and window covers for when it is cold. Service was fast and a little friendly. Food was tasty! Loved the crab cake Benedict. Made the mistake of ordering tomatoes on the side and they were inedible. Stick with the grits or potatoes instead.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Went on New Year's Day for brunch with the family. Had reservations but the place wasn't packed at 11 (was getting fuller as we left). Hard to judge on a holiday Booth and table seating. Didn't check out the other side with the bar but next time I definitely will. Family friendly: high chairs, baby changing table in the bathroom, and kids menu for those under 12 available. Veggie omelet, grits with cheddar, kids grilled cheese and fries all great. My husband loved his calamari and fried shrimp. Nice pour on my mimosa. Casual place to eat before a very short walk to the beach. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
WONDERFUL Southern meal at ACME. We had a table of 4 today and sat on the side porch. Our waitress, Suzanne, was kind and efficient and accommodating! We had the following: Fried Flounder with chopped potatoes- delicious, every bite! Blackened Shrimp on Succotash- full of bacon, baby Lima beans, field peas and other heavenly beans. Perfection! Swordfish Special over creamy grits and Brussels sprouts-devoured and worth every penny! Fried green tomatoes, sautéed shrimp over pimento grits.: incredible and is HUGE. Enough for two people. Tartar sauce is unbelievable! All 4 dishes were amazing! One of our favorite restaurants on IOP!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a must visit. The staff are friendly explained the menu very well. I had the short Ribs and they melted in your mouth. I will be going back for Dinner. Thanks for your wonderful establishments.

Yelp
The place has a nice local vibe with a relaxed beach goer attitude. The service was impeccable. I mean southern hospitality at its finest. From the moment that we walked in we were greeted very respectfully with smiles, The costumer experience always starts there for me and they were winning so far. We were seated within a few minutes and our server was great. I'll try to be as descriptive as I possibly can since that all went down yesterday and we are in vacation mode. But to be direct and to the point 99% of the food was so good last night that I almost ate the plates that all the food was served on. They are epic. The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection while maintaining the firmness yet juicy/mild-tartness to the tomatoes and they were wonderfully topped off with pimento cheese and this relish-like food called chow chow. Gotta try this!! The Southern Cornbread, OMG I knew I was eating cornbread from the texture of it but it also has the consistency of a nice dense and moist cake. With fried shrimp on the side and smothered in gravy, I don't want to be overly dramatic but WOW! It was perfect. Gotta try this!! Oysters are top notch and a lot bigger than what I've had in south Florida. Gotta Try This!! The Yorktown was my plate and boy, when I say that it didn't disappoint I mean it. The flounder, the shrimp, and the oysters were all dipped in batter and fried with such attention to detail and freshness being a major consideration in their ingredients it shows in the food. Gotta try this!! The rest was also great and a must try. The grits with that salmon were FIYAH!!!! (fire, which means great) creamy and perfectly seasoned. Broiled seafood was a great choice for my wife as she cannot have gluten. She tore it up and it was also great to see such a great establishment such as this also serve those with food allergies so they can also enjoy a night out with those of us that will eat anything and everything. The light house looked and smelled great my sister loved it. This was a big thing that I noticed about the entire meal, no one even reached for the salt because we all understood what the chef was as giving us with just one taste. The only knock I would give them would have to be that the peanut butter pie wasn't our favorite thing. But who cares, go there eat the entire menu and get dessert somewhere else. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this place. I was going to give it a 4 because of the dessert but dang, everything else was just sooo good. Next vacation I will rent right across the street from here or hide in the fire station because I may want to eat here. Bravo guys and come build something in South Florida too.

Yelp
First of all, this is really a 3.5 star review. Was able to get in easily on a Friday night although parking was a tad tough, that doesn't mean much to me as I'm willing to walk miles for good food. They sat me next to the kitchen door facing the hostess stand and my husband was across from me. First thing I noticed is that the hostess had a bit of a compulsivity issue as every 10 seconds exactly she took her high pony tail out, shook her long locks vigorously, put the pony back up, pulled her hair out just around her head and flipped the pony all around. Ten seconds later she repeats the same action and after 20 times, I joined my husband on the other side of the bench. My heart actually hurt for her and I did compliment on her lovely hair as we left and very nicely said, " it's perfect and requires no adjustment whatsoever." I mentioned it to the server who just grunted and said, yeah, she just can't get it right. Hard to focus on food with that show going on. Now let's proceed. Wine pour was as skimpy as anything I have ever seen. Honestly they give you more wine at the Cracker Barrel. I had Caesar salad with supposed homemade croutons( they were absolutely not) and fried oysters on top. Salad was fine minus the croutons which I removed and the dressing was standard. The fried oysters were outstanding!!! Cooked perfectly and juicy to boot. Honestly, even though this place had some hiccups, the oysters alone are worth returning for. My husband had fried flounder and shrimp and something they described as fries but barely edible and cold. His seafood was meh. But I still stand by my oyster review. Just go, get a beer ( not wine) and a hot plate of these babies! Take your own tartar sauce as they have a ( are you ready?) CARROT based one!!! I had to ask the hostess where the tartar sauce was and she explained that tidbit. Lol, wait, what state am I in? So take your own if you need it. Hot sauce and lemon worked for us. That sauce was enough to take away a point. The staff wasn't engaging a bit and that was surprising for the South. Who cares, they aren't going home with me! Well..... maybe the oyster fryer.

Yelp
My family was so overjoyed at how the restaurant accommodated the 23 of us right at opening on Mother's Day weekend - Saturday. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely amazing!! The food is a bit pricey but worth every penny; especially my crab cakes! They were not your boxed stuff! I could tell it was carefully made with real crab meat. It was a perfect setting to end our day. I love traveling and love all scales of eating! This place gets a 5 star from me!!
google avatar

Tiffani W.

Yelp
This is a favorite of ours. The staff is always so friendly. It definitely has a local feel. And doesn't hurt that it is close to the beach. We started with the calamari and i am a fan. The sauce is delicious. The chicken grit bowl was a great choice this time. Very tender. I did sub breakfast potatoes and they were great. My husband had the Amce Islander omelet. He enjoyed that along with pimento cheese grit. Oh and the biscuits are like soft clouds. I'd get a couple of those.

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Wow. The best brunch/ breakfast. Celebrated a birthday with a bang. Loved everything from the waiter, service, atmosphere and the food Don't miss this place!!!
google avatar

Evan N.

Yelp
Went here for dinner and the food was okay. I can't say anything necessarily WOWED me but I genuinely enjoyed my meal. Nothing was bad about the shrimp and grits. The fried green tomatoes kind of felt like they might have been frozen. The crowd here was a lot of older people and a ton of families. The ambiance reminded me of a chain restaurant which is fine by me. Service was fantastic and have no complaints about it!

Yelp
4 stars! Consistently great food this first trip to this area! Once for lunch and then for dinner. Pecan crusted fried chicken and short ribs were amazing. Of course the seafood was fresh as well. I love a great place that we find on own own but then comes highly recommended. Back of the house checked in on us as well as a few others! Locals know ;)

Yelp
Love IOP Beach! We discovered this low country cooking restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. If you decided to go, definitely make a reservation.

Yelp
Like this place A LOT!!! My faves are the Gouda grit fries, fried chicken and their breakfast dishes- especially the Eggs Benedict.

Yelp
Great food at this place! My Niece Kaitlyn is a great host! Even those this place is great family the food stands on its own Fried green tomatoes great! Cornbread Appetizer great! Amberjack special southern style to die for! This place is well ran and great food! Love, Uncle Tim

Lyssa C.

Yelp
Now I always take pictures but we had been outside all day and were starving and I forgot! Started with the appetizers of some raw oysters and then the oysters rockafella (they were deconstructed in a sauce) both delicious and the sauce with spinach was full of flavor. My uncle ordered the seafood pasta and said the flavors were amazing and minor critique needed toast to dip in the sauce because it was that good. My mother order a house salad with chicken and homemade balsamic dressing. It was very large and she loved the dressing. I got the surf and turf but subbed out the grits for the loaded mashed they had on special. My steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was seasoned amazingly and I am so glad I got those potatoes. They take reservations, we did not have one but came early and were sat right away. We were seated in main dining room and it was very loud with lots of babies screaming, not the restaurants fault. The thing that won me over the most was the service. Our server did not skip a beat but also we had 3 visits by managers to check on us. Their presence in the restaurant was on point and I am sure everyone had a great experience as they were not going to let anyone leave unhappy. Can't wait to go back and try brunch, here is awesome!

Yelp
Acme lowcountry kitchen was amazing! The grit bowl was better than expected & the prices were great!

Yelp
This place!!! Food was absolutely amazing. Amberjack was perfect and fresh. We visited for the first time this week and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Acme ! Well done!

Yelp
Acme is a classic. It was so hard to decide because the menu is incredible. I was debating on the succotash with blackened shrimp, the grit bowl with spinach, fried eggs, fried oysters or the grits with short ribs. I love that they offer a birthday dessert
google avatar

Rachelle R.

Yelp
Great prices and local fare. I loved the gritted that came with the fried oysters and haddock. You can tell that it's a local favorite with so many people stopping by for lunch. Portions are satisfactory. A must try if you are in area and want seafood at local prices not tourist ones.

Yelp
Great Seafood! Isle of Palms is beautiful and Acme Lowcountry is great food! The service was great! We wanted to get some good seafood while we were in town and Acme did not disappoint! I got the Lighthouse and let me tell you it was great! The shrimp were seasoned perfectly, the scallops were very tender and delicious. That crab Cake was mind blowing. I had never had one quite like it. This is not like the deep fried Maryland style crab cakes that most of us from the North are used to. This was a like a baseball and you could see each lump of crab. It was full of herbs, spices and flavor but it didn't cover the flavor of the crab. Every one thing enhances the next. The collard greens were amazing as well as the fried Brussels sprouts. My husband had the grilled salmon with pimento cheese grits and Brussels sprouts. He probably could have eaten a dozen more plates of those grits alone!!! We also had the fried green tomatoes, which were topped with pimento cheese and chow chow! This food left us very happy and full. My husband had

Yelp
Stopped at Acme Lowcountry kitchen for lunch while beaching it at Isle of Palms. Fantastic little café with very flavorful food. Service was lovely, and my shrimp and grits were very very delicious. Recommend!

Yelp
OMG! So good! Didn't know what to expect and were highly impressed. Food was excellent, service was great! There were so many good options on the menu we struggled to decide what to order. Ended up with two of the lowcountry favorites, which were excellent and filling. Ended the meal with a slice of key lime pie. You won't leave hungry!

Yelp
A small restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Ordered the Broiled Seafood and to be honest it was a disappointment. Halibut had no flavor and the shrimp were definitely old. The scallops and the sides (verts and Brussel sprouts) were the saving grace of this dish. I also tried a bit of the Cesar salad which was fresh and good. To sum it up, service and ambience are great. The food was lacking and maybe it just happened to be the dish I ordered but this is just my experience.

Yelp
Visiting from Denver and this place completely blows food in Denver out of the water! We are exhausted from our travels and just wanted a good meal and chill ambiance. This place was a perfect mix of laid back but still nice and the food was perfection. Hostess initially told us it would be an hour wait but offered us bar seating which we accepted and was a complete life hack! Our food came out quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. We got the cornbread and fried shrimp appetizer and the pecan fried chicken with yellow mustard bbq sauce. We were concerned that it wouldn't be enough food for two people but the chicken dish was massive and definitely enough to share. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I could probably eat here every day of our vacation! 10/10
