"Acorn and The Oak is 20 miles east of downtown Vancouver, perched on Lacamas Lake. At this secluded spot, Chuck and Janessa Stoltz have created a unique outdoor dining experience by adding their own quirky style to their newly renovated lake chalet. Janessa’s florist skills came in handy snagging a wedding-level tent and festooning it with greenery and flowers. A small projector silently projects subtitled film favorites — from classics like The Wizard of Oz to Gen-X nostalgia like Say Anything — onto one of the tent’s walls. From noon to 4 p.m., the spot serves light bites like deviled eggs, cheese boards, and cocktails. After 5 p.m., the menu shifts to updated classics like wedge salads and chicken stroganoff, along with cocktails like the Tipsy Oak, a blend of bourbon, orange juice, and Acorn and The Oak’s own thyme simple syrup, finished with a few splashes of cardamom and walnut bitters. The tent will be transformed into a tiki theme in March. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant or through OpenTable." - Rachel Pinsky

"Chicago transplants Janessa and Chuck Stoltz transformed an old chalet on Lacamas Lake into an updated supper club, plating dishes like chicken stroganoff with wild mushrooms and pan-roasted Sockeye salmon. Their Midwest hospitality relish tray starter offers a bounty of pickled veggies, spiced nuts, and a generous round of pimento cheese. Chuck’s eclectic playlist, Janessa’s vibrant floral arrangements, and their combined quirky sense of style — stills from The Shining line the bar, for instance — give the space a unique, timeless vibe. Tables on the outdoor patio in the warmer months provide stunning views of Lacamas Lake." - Rachel Pinsky

Every experience we’ve had here has been delicious and memorable. So sad to see such an incredible place go but thankful for the memories, great cocktails and incredible food!

Google
One of my favorite restaurants ever and especially in this area and am so sad its closing. Consistently excellent food and cocktails. Steaks always cooked excellenty. The appetizers are great especially the deviled eggs.

The food here is AMAZING! The service was a little slow but the atmosphere and food completely made up for it. This place is also a flower shop and had a beautiful selection of seasonal flowers. I had the huevos rancheros and just wow, it had the most delicious smoky salsa on top, it's served with in season fruit and potatoes. If you haven't been here, it's a must try!

Google
My husband and I love everything about the Acorn & the Oak. The food, the ambiance! But that’s not the purpose of this particular review. Today, I would **love** to highlight the flower shop - specifically May. When I saw her work, I knew immediately that she was who I wanted to hire to design my bridal bouquet & boutonnières. She sat dawn with me about two months before my big day and we discussed my vision and how she could help it come to life. And guys. May delivered! Above & beyond!! Check out all these pictures of my day and then run, don’t walk, to hire May in all her glory.

There are two seating areas, so you want to have a reservation so you make sure to sit in the bar area, it’s got a fun vibe about it. We went at 530 mid-week and was not crowded yet, definitely picked up after 630. Food was delicious, service spot on. Great date night place. Do understand it’s not inexpensive but like so many things in life, you get what you pay for. We’ll go again for sure. In

Google
We went for my birthday and this is truly an amazing spot. The food is absolutely incredible and I'm already planning our next visit. Three of us had the steaks and they were easily top 5 lifetime for flavor, tenderness and presentation. The risotto my brother ordered was a complete knock-out. We had a variety of appetizers and every single one was heavenly - we were making deals over who got the last bites. We finished up with dessert and (not surprisingly) the were ALSO stellar. The whole place has this fun, warm, special vibe. New fav.

First time visiting and sad that we live so far away because this place is amazing! The menu is amazing, the inside and outside of the restaurant are amazing....and most importantly, the food is beautiful and delicious. Don't hesitate to stop by - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
So glad that I was able to come in and visit for the first time before they officially closed! The food was amazing! Everything was great. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was their Mac and cheese. The lobster was overcooked (rubbery) and wish there was more cheese to fully coat the Mac. You an tell they use fresh ingredients and the taste was bomb! We got way too much food but we wanted to try as much as we can! We got the relish platter and my favorite was probably the cheese dip!!! The burrata and bread was so delicious also! The fruits were so sweet! Love the cherries and the apricots with the balsamic glaze and basil! The steak was cooked very well. Although we had to send our steak back in the first time since they overcooked it to our preference. They will be surely missed!

Yelp
Wow! This place was incredible! We had been meaning to try this place for ages and finally made the trek out. We should not have waited this long, at all. We started with the deliciously creamy baked goat cheese, the flavor was phenomenal between the creaminess of the cheese, the tartness of the tomatoes, and the flavor of the roasted garlic. The main entrees were also fantastic, the steak was melt in your mouth tender. The pork loin just as flavor, moist, and soft! There was a very minor mixup with the wine order, but it was quickly remedied and wound up being in our favor. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, I can see why this place has been a popular one.

Yelp
I ate here with a friend a few days ago, and it was GREAT. The food was good, the waiter was attentive and funny, the atmosphere was laid back, the place really pretty. I loved it so much, I decided to come back a couple of days later to treat my son and his girlfriend. Holy hell. What a difference a few days makes! The food was just ok. The goat cheese and toast was great, but my son's burger was dry, and he had to ask for a side of the sauce that was supposed to be on it because there was none. Our sandwiches were fine, but we only got a few fries (compared to a few days ago). The butter cake - that was delicious a few days prior - was overcooked and hard to get a fork through. But the waitress... she was the real star of this story. If you look up 'hates her job' there would be a pic of this woman. Zero expression whatsoever, which... I mean, we don't expect a show with our meal, but at the very least be nice?? She had only a couple of tables and walked past us half a dozen times without a glance. We had to flag her down 3-4 times for water, things that were supposed to be on our plates but weren't, etc. She was VERY put out, and made that abundantly clear the entire time we were there. When the check came, I noticed a $3 automatic "tip" for the kitchen. (Spoiler alert: If the customer doesn't have a choice, it's not a "tip") I asked the waitress about it, and she just shrugged and said it was for the kitchen staff. My raised eyebrows must have registered because all of a sudden she was SO attentive... Do we need more water? (While we're walking out?) Is there anything else she can do for us? Zero tip. She was pained to do her job (and barely that), nothing whatsoever was done to make our experience pleasant. I'd planned to bring my mom here in a couple of weeks, but now that's a hard no.

Yelp
Got to visit right before they close permanently. So sad that it was both our first and last visit. Everything was played so beautifully and the interior and names of all the cocktails were fun and eclectic with taste. We will forever be thinking about the burrata and bread board. Wishing the owners and the staff all the best in their next chapter.

Veronica H.

Yelp
We ordered the mushroom chicken and braised beef. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and buttery: Super delicious and flavorful. We also ordered the burrata and tomato appetizer. I love arugula and burrata, it was a little sweet, tangy, peppery, and amazing. Overall tasty, filling, and refreshing drinks. Intimate vibes. I wish I took pictures of our meals to share but they were so good I forgot to snap a pic!

Samantha H.

Yelp
I love the vibe and food of this place! You really should make the trek to Camas for this spot. So so worth it!

Yelp
Expectations exceeded on many levels with three small negatives. First, the place is very charming with a warm and energetic vibe. Finding parking in front was tough, but maybe there was more nearby. Cocktails - The Old Fashioned on special with coconut and banana was excellent. However, the pour seemed small and only leveled to half of the rock glass. It could have been the standard 2 ounces, but I think not. Cocktail price points were $15-$20, so definitely higher than at like establishments. Bread and Burrata Board - a hit and a recommend. The Arugula complimented it well. Brussels Sprouts Salad - very light on apples, cranberries and walnuts, otherwise it would have been worthy. Braised Short Ribs with Polenta - tender with a scrumptious sauce. The star of the show, awesome! Smothered Chicken and Mushroom Sauce - the person who ordered it barely touched it and commented it might have been undercooked. Creamed Spinach - not quite at the Morton's level (my fav), but delicious nevertheless. Dessert: Sorbet - much better than expected, light and full of flavor, filling. Loved it. Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake - dense, sweet, a St. Louis original. They hit it out of the park, so good. I do wish they complemented with crème fraiche rather than the whipped cream they used. You can easily split this four ways. Service: newer gal, but very kind and efficient. Bummer - another server apologetically requested us to wrap it up as another reservation was waiting for the table, but we were only half way through dessert. Maybe understandable as it was a Saturday night. She seemed to feel bad about it.

Yelp
This place is magical! We've driven by this place dozens of times, as we often walk around the lakes in Camas, and I'm kicking myself for not looking up this place sooner when we'd drive by and I'd say, "I wonder what that place is like?" So now I've been following them on Instagram for several months, drooling over their food posts, pining for their creative & beautiful seasonal cocktails, and in utter awe of their marvelous floral arrangements. Oh yes, this is a lovely & fun restaurant AND an incredible floral shop all in one! We are also originally from the Midwest (we're from Illinois, not far from Wisconsin), as the owners are as well, so we are big fans of supper clubs & that whole vibe. As soon as I saw they have a relish tray on their menu I knew we had to go. And when we walked in we were blown away by how they've decorated - this place a magical conjunction of movies, pop culture, music & fabulous decor - in a playful, yet romantic way. Add with such delicious food & drinks we are downright smitten. It can be on the pricey side, but they have different options on their menus for lunch & dinner, so you can find something reasonable if you don't want to splurge. And they use quality local ingredients, prepared & presented perfectly, so imho it's worth it. Cocktails are also pricey, but that's how cocktails are priced at swanky spots, and this place knows how to make 'em good & strong. In addition to everything being absolutely delicious, I highly recommend the relish tray, available in small or large. The small says it's good for 2 to share, but I'd say aside from it having 2 deviled eggs, it's plenty for 4 to share. Follow them on Instagram or facebook for updates on seasonal menu changes and specials. The folks that own this place, and their staff, are a lot of fun, and the service is fantastic, too! Oh, and the seating in the bar area has a bit of a different vibe from the dining room, and they have outdoor patio seating in nice weather. It's a smaller place, so reservations are highly recommended for dinner, but lunchtime isn't usually too busy and you can just walk in. Okay, I think I've gushed over this place enough for now. Pay them a visit!

Darbie E.

Yelp
Delicious food & lovely atmosphere. Two of us had tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches and the other in our party had the chicken salad sandwich. All of us were very pleased with our lunches.

Yelp
Made reservations for a birthday dinner here based on a friend's recommendation. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. It is small inside and outside, so reservations are a must, especially on the weekends. Staff was friendly and attentive. They weren't super knowledgeable regarding plants and flowers served with the food. Some items were new to us, so we were curious about their names, but the staff didn't remember and didn't offer to go find out. They also don't seem to do anything for birthdays. My reservation mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, but nothing was said or offered in celebration. Once seated on the patio, as requested in my reservation, I noticed the menu wasn't the same as the one I saw online. Our server said they were still showing their spring menu online but were currently serving their summer menu. She said they were planning to update it next week. Next week is August! After reviewing the new menu, we decided on the clam linguini and steak with potatoes. We also started with the bread & burrata board, which was absolutely amazing! We even had to order extra bread...it was that good! The clam linguini was okay. It was a little too fishy and spicy than we thought it would be. The filet mignon was outstanding! It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. So tender and juicy, with wonderful flavor. We would definitely order it again. The twice baked potatoes were okay. The filling was yummy, but some of the potatoes left in the skin weren't cooked thoroughly. We would have preferred mashed potatoes. We ended up sharing the strawberry shortcake. It was delicious with the chantilly cream and fresh strawberries. We would definitely order it again. Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The view from the back patio is amazing, and the food is some of the best we've eaten. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
First I want to start by saying I wanted to fall in love with this place but it was off the mark so significantly. We came on a whim after a wedding. We have had so many people talk up how wonderful this place was so we gave it a go. The place itself is so cute. Its quirky and weird but it oddly works! We both orders a drink on the special. This was likely the highlight of the dinner but honestly for the price their was nothing made me go AH about the drink. We stuck with water after that. We shared a goat cheese appetizer which is when it all went down hill. The app was warm, had honey, blackberries and roasted peanuts. The attempt was a something sweet with the goat cheese but the berries were not sweet at all and just were flavorless. There was no honey and if you ate it with the peanuts it was all over powered. To be honest we couldn't even finish the app. It was not good at all. We then split a main dish as we ate some at the wedding. We got the steak at filet. The shrimp was good. The chimichurri sauce was good but there was barely any there. The steak was an amazing cut and cooked well but it was SO salty. The broccoli was good but barely cooked and the plantain was so salty and flavorless. We were sorely disappointed. We are not picky people. We can enjoy a diner or an upscale meal but we do hold those that charge high prices to higher standard. Acorn and The Oak fell way below the mark.

Yelp
Excellent spot for Camas, and the location only makes it that much sweeter. My partner and I have been here twice now, once sitting at the bar and the other outside. The outside area is beautiful and relaxing while the inside is super cute and dapper. I wish the flowers were always available for sale! The food was expensive but is very good and the drinks are the best in Vancouver area without driving all the way downtown. IF I had my cake and ate it too, they would have better hours and refine the food menu a little bit.

Dick H.

Yelp
They announced they will permanently close September 6, 2024. A sad loss for the area.

Good F.

Yelp
Interesting restaurant that doubles as a flower shop. Food was once pretty good, chef decided to remove most of the special and delicious items, sadly, and nothing special remained on the dinner menu. Wasn't worth eating there for dinner. Lunches were good, esp on the patio. There was a time when a woman ran the door/seating and was absolutely horrible with customer service and single handedly the reason all of us stopped eating here. I hope she was fired and sent back to finishing school. Met the owner at our table once, he was very cordial and appreciative. And now gone.

Devon P.

Yelp
Phenomenal dinner at this little gem! It's such a cute restaurant/bar and we were so pleased by the full meal. Great service and the star of the show was my seafood Mac and cheese. Look at that lobster!! There was so much lobster, crab, and shrimp throughout I couldn't believe it, but wasn't too heavy/rich which I was worried about. Highly recommend, will be back SOON!

Janet L.

Yelp
Perfect summer dinner tonight at Acorn & the Oak in Camas Attentive, friendly service. Amazing food and beverages

Cameron W.

Yelp
From the outside you would never guess that this is a high end restaurant but it is, and I'm a tough rater. We had the bread and burrata board, a large serving of seafood mac & cheese and the best corn chowder I've ever eaten. Outdoor seating is in a lovely setting under tall fir trees. The bill came to $71 plus tax and tip. I can hardly wait to return.

Kristen W.

Yelp
I have been here 3 or 4 times and up til last night have been extremely impressed. I hope it was a "one off" night. My food was good! However service was anything but. We had a 7:00 reservation- we're seated immediately on the lovely patio. (Noted they were very busy.) We got our delicious cocktails and ordered appetizers- our server seemed overwhelmed. We waited an hour, then dinner came and never saw appetizers. When we asked about them our server said they were accidentally delivered to another table? Whaaat? He did damage control and offered us free desserts. So, I would give them another try - because it's such neat place. Hoping they get it sorted, I know staffing is challenging.

Wendell R.

Yelp
We live in the Camas area and never knew this restaurant was tuck away close to Round lake. What a treat. What a surprise it was to have found such a wonderful eatery and dinning experience. The environment is the perfect size not too big not too small. It's connected to a flower shop and upon request they'll actually supply your table with a bouquet of flowers as a part of your dining experience. I didn't know that was the case so I didn't take advantage of it, but maybe next time. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with some light music playing in the background and I just kind of feels that space between conversations. Our servers were wonderful, so kind and very attentive to our need. We'll done ladies. We started with an appetizer, the fried shrimp fritters, and a fantastic slightly spicy dipping sauce. The batter on the fritters was crisp and moist at the same time. The shrimp was well cooked. The dipping spice was spicy and creamy and very delicious. I ordered the Pork Loin and mash potatoes with baked cosmic crips apples. The pork loin was perfectly cooked with a think layer of fat providing the extra tenderness necessary. Perfectly seasoned. The mash potatoes were creamy and absolutely delicious. The bakes apples were both sweet and tart. Nice combo. My wife order the seafood Mac and cheese. It was cheesy with lots of big pieces of well flavored seafood, lobster, shrimp and crab. BIG pieces. She said it was rich and delicious. Our friends ordered the other dishes shown so I can't speak on them but they wiped their plates clean. Now that we know about this place we'll be back for certain.

Brandon A.

Yelp
Probably our favorite restaurant in Camas! A unique experience no matter which side you sit on, but we like the bar. The menu is small, but everything is delicious! The filet is probably one of the best and I always substitute for the polenta! We wish the menu changed a little more often, but we still go back again and again.

Mindy P.

Yelp
My husband and I came on a date night on a Friday night. We had reservations, and the restaurant was full, but a couple walked in and got sat at a bar like table against the back windows. Service was good--friendly and knowledgeable. We could have been attended to more quickly. Their cocktails are divine! I can't remember the name of the one we got, but it was a chocolate Negroni. Absolutely delicious! We started with the pickled veggies, which was spicy and delicious. More onions on the plate than I would have preferred. I would have wanted more green beans or carrots. We're eating the Mediterranean diet these days, so hubby stuck with that and ordered the salmon, which came with lentils and broccolini. It was as healthy-tasting as it sounds. I, on the other hand, got the pork chop, which was cooked sous vide style and then grilled. It had the most DELICIOUS sauce, apples on the side and mashed potatoes. The pork chop was perfection! Hubby was visibly jealous.

Tiffany M.

Yelp
The environment, the food, the customer service, just WOW! Drinks: pumpkin white russian and the midnight in havana- fantastic and STRONG Appetizer: Bread and Burrata board and devils on horseback- there are no words I can say besides ORDER THIS! NOW! YOU ARE MISSING OUT IF YOU DONT entre: red wine risotto (special of the month right now) and the seafood Mac and cheese. Huge portions and very well rounded flavor for both. For the seafood Mac, they put a good amount of seafood in the heeping amount of Mac and it was ready to impress! The risotto was a nice soft but full flavor and wonderful texture! Dessert: the pumpkin creme brulee- phenomenal taste ! This is worth every penny!

Yelp
To the person who wrote the review today about being "kicked out"... I was there at the same time. You're not that special and no one cares. It's Mother's Day weekend and you show up to a small restaurant expecting to be seated. The hostess was not rude and you were not asked to leave. She simply stated they were fully booked. If you truly are "in the industry " you should understand this. Your lack of planning by not making a reservation is your own fault. GROW UP! The owners and staff are amazing people and the food... well it's the best in the PNW.

Jali H.

Yelp
My adorable sister and i came in today (Saturday) at 11am and asked the host for a table for 5 and she very aggressively asked if we have a reservation and when we said no she said she can't help us, when i saw a note about a speakeasy i asked if we could get drinks there - her response that "no i cannot help you". It felt very harsh and rude for no reason when we're just being nice cute girls who drove here from oregon. We both work in the service industry and this is simply not how you treat your customers.

Meagan H.

Yelp
Everything here was beyond lovely! The funky bar & flower shop, excellent food and drink, the story of the familial connections. Janessa & Chuck have a great thing going! Every piece/part is unique and downright wonderful!

Kimberly C.

Yelp
It's always a fabulous experience coming to Acorn and the Oak. You feel like you are a part of the family and are so well taken care of and attended too. The staff is truly outstanding and they really make sure that everything is just how you like it. The food is freshly made, and very inventive. The flavors are to die for. They change up their menu seasonally, so it is always a new experience there. The drink specials are fabulously creative and delicious. We go here on date nights or just a night out, as well as family celebrations. You're never disappointed when you come to Acorn and the Oak. It's just a really special experience.

Elyse S.

Yelp
The atmosphere of Acorn & The Oak is very well-decorated, modern, and welcoming. Every time I'm there, I simply cannot get over how cute everything is. On top of the cuteness, the food is healthy and delectable.

Nycole P.

Yelp
I received a gift card for this establishment on my birthday. However, our previous experience at this place two years ago left us unimpressed. It appears that this establishment is striving to achieve a five-star Michelin acclaimed restaurant status, but unfortunately, the food falls short. The dishes they attempt to create are poorly seasoned, grainy, and have an odd taste. I ended up using half of my gift card to provide a meal for our dog. I would advise against wasting your time here, as the staff is also rude.

Renee W.

Yelp
Food and drink were excellent. Lovely place. Loved the wood burning fire in the bar and the sweet patio. Can't wait to return. One small issue was service was slow but they seemed to be turning over from brunch. Would have had another drink but wasn't offered and hardly saw our server.

Brooke B.

Yelp
Acorn & the Oak is such a vibe. It's serene, relaxing, comfortable, zen...all the things that make you happy. The owners match this vibe with creative cocktails and a truly thoughtful menu. Then you meet Chuck and Janessa (the owners). And the staff...and you want your evening to never end because it's just SPECIAL. Where to start...I LOVE the decor. I come from Seattle to just bring my friends here. The bathrooms make you want to hang out. In the bathrooms. The bar has pictures from all your favorite movies. The flower shop oooozes nature, greenery, animals and creative things. And it's reflected in the food and cocktails too! You feel like Acorn & the Oak family with homemade bloody mary mixes, cocktails & tasty bites inspired after their newest little addition, Charlie. Seasonal menu (for both drinks and food) changes quite a bit...on my recent visit I went all apps because I couldn't make up my mind. There was an outstanding beef tartare that was seasoned perfectly. Do not pass on the Devils on Horseback...trust me you'll want more. The Ceasar salad has the perfect amount of anchovy flavor and that burrata board! Wow. Everything is presented beautifully as well. One last thing. DO NOT MISS this chef's bread pudding. I am typically not a fan of bread pudding, but Acorn & the Oak has changed my mind. If a bread pudding can melt in your mouth...this is the one that will. Moist, full of chunks of fruit...OUTSTANDING. Camas has a gem with this place...100%.

Matt Capri Z.

Yelp
An amazing menu prepared in the finest of styles and detail. ambience. Not too crowded or not too busy. Nice bar area.

Shannon H.

Yelp
The tiniest cocktails I've seen. Food was good but very pricey for what we ordered. There are better places to spend $175 on dinner. We only ordered one drink each and one appitizer plus our main dish.

Angelica A.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate an anniversary. This is one of the cutest places I've been in so long! I called same day to put together a bouquet on the table - and the woman on the phone was so warm and inviting. She asked my favorite colors and it turned out beautiful! They also box it for you at the end. The decor, vibe, and ambiance was superb! Also loved the oldies playlist and view of plants and fresh flowers! The service was warm, comfortable, and inviting. We tried the deviled eggs, the shrimp scampi skillet, the bread and cheese + the pork tenderloin. & finished with the homemade caramel cheesecake. The flavor profiles were okay. Not a whole lot of flavor or seasoning going on. Presentation was super cute - but overall it was okay! I'm used to Shrimp Scampi having a prominent garlic profile and the shrimp tasted like butter, salt and pepper. The Pork Tenderloin was a fun dish - and I liked the pork in conjunction with the cooked apples! The homemade cheesecake was the star of the show!

Del K.

Yelp
Acorn & the Oak has become one of our favorite places for a date night dinner (or sometimes lunch). The environment is so fun and creative and truly represents the care and passion of the owners. The food is always incredible and made with love. They have some of the best and most creatively named mixed drinks to choose from. And the servers clearly love who they work for and the work they do as they are always so attentive and friendly. This is not always easy to find in the service industry. Also, don't miss out on their beautiful floral arrangements. They have some of the best options in the area. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner because they are small and seating is limited. You won't be sorry!

Ali H.

Yelp
Drinks were just ok for the price. Service was very slow and they were not busy. Ambiance was beautiful.

Jonathan P.

Yelp
Cozy restaurant, perfect for date night or a small group of friends. Amazing cocktails that change with the season. Menu has something for everyone to include GF options. Easily the best restaurant in Camas

Jamie D.

Yelp
Acorn is such a fun vibe, the staff is super friendly and the food and drinks are superb!

Christie M.

Yelp
Intimate atmosphere, awesome food and service! We cane for lunch and will definitely plan on coming back for dinner!

Maddie T.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant! Loved the vibe and all the plants! Very much a nice hidden place in camas near the lake!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Ouch! This one "smarts", which is the perfect time for a Yelp review. Went this past Sunday and the place was packed. It was explained that a special event was happening, but we could be seated at the bar, which we reluctantly accepted. The noise was so loud, we couldn't even hear each other! We sat for some time without even being acknowledged when finally, the bartender apologized and said it was very busy, was appreciated because she stopped what she was doing to at least explain the delay. Then things went south in a hot New York minute. The surly server came over with a very snarky attitude and asked if we were ready to order food (while rolling her eyes). When my friend told her that they hadn't even gotten our drink orders in yet. She reluctantly took our order and we proceeded to wait and watch people from the event come up and place a drink order after ours, which they immediately start working on for them. Enter surly server again asking if we we're "finally" ready to order food. My friend said " we haven't even got our drinks yet". She then proceeded to give us the most condescending speech about how there was a special event and that these customers basically came first. I guess our money wasn't as good as theirs. That was our cue.... Exit, stage right!!!! We are not coming back. This is the second negative experience we have had, and 2 strikes is enough for us. Too bad, because it's a nice place with good food and drinks. It's the staff that ruins it. To the owner: I am sure your staff was stressed, but why couldn't you have had your special event on a Monday when you are closed instead of treating other paying customers as second class citizens!!!

Yelp
I had a very unpleasant experience at Acorn & the Oak due to a misunderstanding about parking. The owner was extremely disrespectful, telling me literally to "go away" and questioning me rudely when I tried to let my friends know. His lack of professionalism and respect was shocking. I felt mistreated and want to warn others about the lack of understanding regarding the extremely limited parking situation and also customer service here.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. From the food, to the cocktails, to the service, and the ambiance, this is one of the best restaurants in the SW Washington/Portland area. Higher price point, but worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

Yelp
This is my wife and I's favorite spot in Camas, 10/10 would recommend! The rotating menu always keeps new and fresh items every time we pop in, can't go wrong. The cocktails are also always a fun treat.

Yelp
This place is great. Super friendly and attentive staff, the food was delicious and the vibe is very welcoming. We stumbled across it on accident and were very happy we did. We were there for lunch but looking at the supper menu, we will be returning soon for sure!

Yelp
Went on a quiet evening and the place was almost empty. The 3 of us ordered the same dish, the chicken in gravy with mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. I found the chicken tasty in a lovely gravy. The mashed potatoes were lush and the beans were cooked perfectly. We all thought the beans were terrific. The was a very basic meal well prepared. I reflected on the decades I have eaten out and how this reminded me of a simple meal, well prepared from simpler times, that was not as rare as it is today. Odd that it was a $30 meal that once upon a time I would have thought was a bargain for half the price, but that's the state of dining today. Enjoyed the dining experience, but not sure I'd go back for dinner, maybe lunch in the summer to dine outdoors.

Yelp
Ambiance. The steak was fantastic. Perfect little spot for a romantic date. Small but robust atmosphere. So much to look at. Interesting art and decor and in a flower shop! Cool vibes, and food and drinks were killer. Definitely coming back many more times.

Yelp
Everything in this little supper club is fantastic. If it's wet outside be mindful of your shoe choice. The walk from the parking area is right along the road.

Yelp
This is hands down the best place in Camas- love, love, loved our experience here! The atmosphere is next level, love the decor, and the service is excellent. Not to mention, the food is great, the cocktails are on point, and we will be back here a lot. We have sat out on the patio and in the bar, both are great. Love that is is locally owned and they use local ingredients. Please go and try it and support them, so worth it!

Yelp
We've been meaning to come here for quite some time and decided our anniversary would be a great time to give them a try. We were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly at the door by the hostess and chose to sit in the bar area. The service was prompt, fun and friendly. We started with Devils on Horseback - one word " YUM!!!". The short ribs were also outstanding - so tender and flavorful. We finished with the pumpkin creme brulee - amazing! We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu. Side note - nice job on writing the menu! So many establishments just give you the basics...you had me at "red wine reduction will haunt your dreams". This place has such a fun, funky vibe - love it and I can't believe we waited some long to try you guys.
