Once again, we found ourselves at our favorite spot in the area for ice cream. You should expect to wait in line, but I promise it's worth the wait! If you don't have to wait in line, consider yourself to be lucky.
My go to here is a peanut butter cup sundae with vanilla ice cream. It consists of peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, Reese's pieces, whipped cream, Reese's peanut butter cups, and your choice of ice cream. It's huge, so be prepared. If you love peanut butter you will absolutely love this sundae.
My son has gotten the Take 5 sundae multiple times and thinks it's the best thing ever. It has pretzels, hot fudge, caramel, peanut butter, whipped cream, with your choice of ice cream. He pushed it to the next level by having it in one of their homemade chocolate dipped waffle bowls. I don't recommend doing this unless you have a large appetite as he was too full once he finished his once cream. I also have tried the chocolate dipped waffle bowl for my sundae but it was too much.
One recommendation is bring your own spoon, seems that they have downgraded to cheaper spoons, which bend completely in half while your trying to eat.
Another tip, if you love ice cream cakes stop buying the mediocre ones from the grocery store. Acushnet Creamery makes homemade custom ice cream cakes to order. Just make sure you give them at least 2 weeks notice, you won't regret it!
