Family‑run pasta house where the Adamos roll fresh dough daily and pour wines from their Italian family vineyards. Profiled by Inside Sacramento and noted by local critics, it’s a warm Midtown standby.

We took the Pasta 101 class. It is $120 per person and lasts from 11am-2pm. We made 4 cheese ravioli and it was super fun and informative! John was a great teacher and the ravioli we made was really delicious. Appetizers, salad, dessert, and wine were also included. There were 11 of us in the class and there were spaces up to 14. I would recommend booking early because the class fills up quickly.

This restaurant is deceiving! From the outside, you think it that might be a simple looking, slightly shady restaurant in a shady-ish area of town. When you enter, it transforms into a chic, cosmopolitan little space that looks very inviting. I would recommend getting a reservation especially if you are a bigger group because they were busy on a Friday night! Thankfully, we could get seated at the bar. The menu is well-thought out. It isn't extensive, but we liked that they offer some classics and some of their own culinary fusions. We think they are attempting to create their name in the Italian cuisine industry here in Sac, as they seem to have updated menu items, they serve wines from their family vineyards in Italy and are also promoting pasta making classes. I love that! Ok, onto the wine and food. I ordered their classic white, which was 50% Chardonnay and 50% blend and my husband ordered their classic red, which was a red blend. I don't know which component of my white was buttery, but the wine wasn't as crisp as I was hoping for. The red blend was better. Food wise, they did a good job overall. We ordered their stuffed cherry peppers as an appetizer, the gnocchi, and the four cheese ravioli. The stuffed cherry peppers were simple, elegant and delicious! The plate was a few cherry peppers stuffed with goat cheese served on a bed arugula with a drizzle of an excellent balsamic vinaigrette with some black pepper. The simplicity of the components made this plate even more delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend ordering this appetizer. Onto the pastas: the gnocchi was excellent - light, melting in the mouth with ample amount of delicious sauce. This is one of the best gnocchi plates my husband has had, and he is particular about his gnocchi! The garlic bread was a tad disappointing because it could have done with a more butter and garlic. It felt a little dry and didn't taste like fresh bread. Dipping it in the gnocchi sauce helped, but I would've liked better bread. The four cheese ravioli took some bites for me to like it. My main issue with it was that I thought the ravioli was slightly undercooked but my husband felt it was ok. The pastas are all handmade so we commend them on making the ravioli but maybe we needed to boil it for a couple more minutes? The sauce for the ravioli was very good - spicy thanks to the peppers, lots of pine nuts and spinach. The cheese inside the ravioli was decent, but just that - cheese, no additional flavors there. I had the same complaint about the garlic bread not being buttered/garlicky enough. I think this dish is almost there but needs a few tweaks. For dessert, we got the tiramisu. The look of it was disappointing because it was not made as a big portion but constructed in a jar. The look was aesthetically pleasing for a flair but this meant that the dessert didn't come together like a normal tiramisu does. It was also overtly sweet. The color was quite pale. We would've liked more coffee. We've definitely had better tiramisu desserts before. I think this is a great restaurant. Their service is fast, the servers are friendly and once inside, you forget how the outside is! They have some cool decor like the wall of $2 bills. Their food is definitely hitting the mark for the most part, but they need a few tweaks here and there. A few weeks ago, we went to Paesanos where we had a great experience. Between the two, Paesanos leads currently because of their garlic bread and the tiramisu but I think Adamo's has a higher quality of pasta. We will be back to try more of your menu!

The food was FANTASTIC! Absolutely no notes. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We had the summer arancini and I had the salmon picatta (salmon medium well). The wait is a bit longer for food but it was worth every bite. No wonder there’s a wait to be seated! It’s best to make a reservation but they helped us the best the could without one.

Food was fantastic!! Simple, fresh, perfectly seasoned. Pasta and gnocchi were tender and fresh. Staff was super friendly. We arrived in the middle of the dinner rush but only had to wait a few minutes to get a rest at the bar. Once seated it did take several minutes to get drinks but the servers were slammed and Once they were able to get us were friendly and helpful. Wanted to try everything on the menu. Will definitely try and come back.

It was so fresh and delicious! I came from Dallas, and I am so glad I came. My daughter has a new favorite place. We got the bolgnese and chicken alfredo! Yummy. The Caesar salad was delicious, too. I will definitely be back.

A very Italian family vibe! The service was fantastic. The staff were so kind in helping our table juggle the baby in our group. The food was absolutely delicious as well. The lemon olive oil cake is not to be skipped! So good!

Food is SO good, but between the wait for food and incredibly tight seating quarters it isn't my favorite spot.

We have been to Adamo’s multiple times and we have always enjoyed coming here. We also recommend this place to our friends. The reason I am writing this 1 star review is due to an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. When we came, we were greeted and sat quickly. It took us about 15 minutes to flag down the sole waitress in the entire restaurant. That should have been a warning. It took us 30 minutes to get our appetizer after ordering which isn’t too bad. But, it took another additional 30 min to get our salads that came with our entreees. And, it took another additional an additional 45 minutes just to get our food after we had our salad. During this time, there was no urgency from any of the staff. No one came in to check on us. We had a small child with us who was incredibly hungry and frustrated. It would have made a huge difference if they even came by to offer bread or a small bite since it took so long. It took us about 1.5 hours for us to get our food. Meanwhile, the staff in the kitchen were operating with no urgency and were walking around and laughing. We had a small glass of water that was offered when we sat. It was never refilled the entire time while we were waiting. Food was good. Service was terrible. This was our 2nd time where we have had incredibly slow and disappointing service. So unless you have 2 hours to wait for your food, I would highly recommend seeking many other comparable options in downtown Sacramento. Don’t waste your time here.

Yelp
The food was amazing! It is a small restaurant that is family owned, and they make homemade pasta!!!! So so Good highly recommend! The front entry is just a regular building but inside those doors is amazing food with a great host! They even have pasta making lessons!

Yelp
One of Midtown's most delicious hidden gems! I've walked by Adamo's plenty of times and recently stopped by for dinner. My partner and I arrived just after opening, and almost every table was already seated! You definitely need a reservation if you're planning to dine in. We were given the option of sitting at the community table or bar, and we opted for the bar top. Despite having a small crew, service was on top of it, and we were well taken care of. We ordered an Italian beer and wine, Summer Arancini, Carbonara, and Gnocchi. Everything came out just right, and you can tell that Adamo's uses high quality ingredients. I noticed that they're promoting pasta making classes and recommend following their Instagram to keep up with their special events. Adamo's is by far my new favorite local spot for some Italian fare and excellent pasta!

Yelp
7/25 They have been on my radar for a while now. My friends and I had reservations to come back in I think March or April of this year but the morning of the reservation we got a call saying that some equipment was out and the kitchen was shut down. Fast forward a few months later and here we are. We came for sort of an early Bday dinner for someone in our group. It's nice that there's some street parking around the restaurant but right next to them there is also a decently sized paid parking lot. Anyways we started off with the arancini and some wine before placing our entree orders. I enjoyed their red blend recommended by our server. The arancini had a nice crunch and had pretty good flavor. Where I think things kind of dropped off, at least for me, were the entrees. I had ordered the gnocchi verdi with a brown butter sage sauce with pancetta, green onions, fried sage, parmigiano and I had added chicken. I've only had pasta with a brown butter sage sauce 1 other time before this so I don't have much to compare to. What came out was a generous portion of gnocchi with a good amount of chicken and pancetta as well. What I quickly noticed however was a pasta sauce that, at least to my eye, appeared broken or separated. It was like eating nice pillowy gnocchi that unfortunately were swimming in an oily sauce. Is that what brown butter sage sauces supposed to be like? The previous one that I had tried was creamy, buttery and flavorful, which theirs was not. Overall it was a pretty salty dish. I liked that it came with a piece of bread but when it comes to bread I like them either served warm/hot. Theirs was served cold on one side and crispy on the other. Was it supposed to be like that? I'm not sure but either way I didn't prefer it. Their strawberry cake (don't remember the exact name) was nothing to write home about. I can say that I had at least appreciated the portion size. Some things to keep in mind. It was pretty loud in there so I wouldn't call it a very intimate spot. They recommend on their website to make reservations especially for the weekend. This time we couldn't get reservations but luckily we were able to walk in and snag a spot at their community table. This was another place where I teeter between 3 & 4 and I just couldn't get myself to give them the 4/5. Like they are just on the cusp but not quite where I felt they should be.

Yelp
The location is great. It's right in the heart of midtown near many other businesses, restaurants, and establishments. There are 60 free parking spots available and has an optional paid parking lot ($5) right next to the restaurant. There is also paid street parking available. It reminds me of a hole in the wall. The restroom is average looking so for those of who you care, reference my picture. It does not have the most luxurious interior if you are looking for a 5 star Il Fornaio type restaurant. The hype on this restaurant is through the roof! From Reddit to word of mouth, everyone talks about how this is the standard for Italian food in Sac. So you already know I had to come here and try this place out and leave one of my in depth reviews. The service was alright. The wait was almost an hour for our food! Our server was also a bit busy to check up on us regularly. I understand that they were very busy when we showed up (6PM), we were in a larger party, and they were short staffed. Also that the pasta is made in house which might take some more time. Just for the wait I had to remove a star but truthfully, the flavor out paces the wait. If I could leave a 4.5 star review I would. Just something to note if you are terribly hungry and don't want to wait too long. This food here is amazing. Authentic Italian for sure. The flavor of the house salad was delicious. It had fresh greens that weren't too crunchy and also not too soft. The bread was packed with flavor and crunchy. The bolognese pasta was fantastic. I don't think I've had a pasta that has more flavor, they made it with love. The chicken pesto sandwich...BANGERRR. It was literally the best sandwich I have ever had. I'm a huge pesto lover and it the flavor was so overpowering, I fell in love with the dish. It's like that ratatouille scene where it takes you back in time to where you were a kid. The prices are a bit steep. Don't expect to walk out of here for under $45 for a meal for two making this a ($$$) for me. The portions are on the smaller side. You will likely still be hungry after you finish your plate, might even have to order 2 meals or an appetizer. The flavor of the meal far surpasses the portions and price. Bottom line/TLDR: absolutely amazing food, one of the best in all of Sac.

Yelp
Coming from out of out, I chose Adamo's for dinner, an Italian restaurant featuring home made pastas, wine from their vineyards, and cooking classes. I had high hopes. Seating: choose between bar and communal for walk in or reserve beforehand for a table Service: good hospitality but kitchen was slow yesterday. Had to wait 40 minutes for the pasta to come out. Maybe a chef called out? Communication could be better. Food: the pasta Bolognese was good but the seafood risotto was a tad watery. Both entrees came with a salad. The fried octopus was oilier than expected. Food was overall decent but the service and wait time could have been better or at least communicated.

Yelp
Tried this spot while visiting a couple friends who live in the area. It looks pretty divey on the outside, but is nice on the inside. We went with the following: Bruschetta - there were two slices with each of the four spreads/toppings. I thought they were all tasty but the cheese and the onion ones were my favorite. My friend liked the pesto the best. My other friend said they would be good. All smashed together on one piece of bread lol Arancini - these are okay. They were too overwhelmingly seasoned with something that tasted more Mexican than Italian. I would not get them again . Bolognese - The pasta itself was a perfect thickness and tenderness and the sauce was extremely Hardy and well seasoned Meatballs and polenta - I didn't try the polenta but the meatballs were okay. They're not very dense but not very soft either. But they definitely have something in them that tasted more Asian? We think maybe fish sauce? Carbonara - I didn't try this but it looks good and my friend had no complaints Olive oil cake - I've never had olive oil cake before so I have no idea if this is a good one or not. It tasted fresh and very moist. The cream was supposed to be strawberry flavored but I didn't really taste any of that. Overall food was good and I would come here again if someone invited me, but I don't necessarily feel the need to return on my own, especially given the relatively limited menu, I feel like I sampled everything I needed to.

Yelp
Amazing Italian food and a great choice to stop by if you're in the area. Adamo's is a small restaurant so they do fill up quickly especially during peak hours. I recommend making a reservation during the weekend like we did. I'll get to what we had quickly because that's what you're here for. :) Summer Arancini - 7/10 this had a Mexican flair which was unexpected in an Italian restaurant. The flavors reminded me of enchiladas with red sauce and the aioli was cilantro lime which was good but again unexpected. Peach Salad - 10/10 refreshing and light. Perfect for summer with all the fruit, tangy goat cheese, and crunchy candied pecans. Bruschetta - 6/10 this came with 4 different kinds and we all only enjoyed the Chèvre + Jam. Caramelized Onion, Basil Pesto, and Divana Tomatoes all didn't taste like it had much of a flavor profile and absolutely needed some seasoning. Four Cheese Ravioli - 7/10 good however I think I would've much rather enjoyed a creamy white sauce pasta. Loved the ravioli just not a huge fan of the Calabrian chili. It had a good kick yet just wasn't a winning dish for me. Carbonara - 10/10 simplicity at its finest and will always be a winner in my book. Creamy, filling, and a nice meaty taste & bite with the Applewood Smoked Bacon. Salmon Piccata - 9/10 when they mention LEMON they mean lemon. I liked it but our friend said it was a bit much for her. The lemon flavor was very present and not overpowering where it made it tart. I loved how this was served with salmon vs chicken. I'd like to get this next time. Tiramisu - 9/10 delicious and almost what I'm looking for in a tiramisu. I wasn't a fan of how the coffee custard looked lol however taste was amazing all around. Highly recommend this little gem! FYI, they only serve wine & beer. Meaning I couldn't get tipsy off some cocktails haha. Thank you Gabriella for serving us tonight!

Yelp
When I want pasta this is where I want to be. This was our second time here. We started with the sweet stuffed peppers. She had the pasta Bolognese. I had the Spaghetti carbonara. We loved our meal here. I tasted the Bolongnes. It was really good. The carbonara was wonderful in a rich garlicky cream sauce. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente and the sauce was amazing. It was quite rich but very garlicky. I had a glass of Sangiovese that paired perfectly. We shared the lemon cake with strawberry cream. I don't remember what the cake was called, but it was made with olive oil. Sometimes cake can be dry. This was perfect. Moist and flavorful. I love Adamo's the ambiance, service and most of all the food remind me so much of the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome. Prego!

Yelp
I came here for a ravioli making class. I had never been to the restaurant but it has been on my list to try. What a fun time! I can definitely take what I learned in this class to make raviolis at home. John was very helpful and a good teacher. Everything was made from scratch. We got to taste 3 different wines, plus appetizers. I am very excited to come to Adamos one evening for dinner. I took at peep at the menu and everything looks delicious and is homemade. Cozy, hole in the wall atmosphere. Very small restaurant that gives off a homey feeling. I think they just opened a small patio in the back- perfect timing for summer.

Yelp
We don't go for Italian very often, but the weather lately has been perfect for it, and we were very tempted by a recent photo and video spread from our buddy Alex T. on his recent visit to Adamo's. Last week we came in for dinner and had a wonderful evening. Everything was fantastic and top tier. My honey made us a reservation for 7, and this worked out well because the space is on the smaller side and it was busy on a weeknight. We were showed to our bench seat right away, and throughout the visit I felt that the service was attentive for the most part. One dish was cleared before we were finished with it, that's my only quibble. It was done so quickly I wasn't able to say anything in time without raising my voice, which I was not going to do, thank you. I'm sure it was an accident ...but it felt awkward. I ordered the vegetarian winter mushroom gnocchi (one of the only ways to get me to eat squash) and we ordered the bruschetta medley to share. Both were perfect. Dinner entrees come with fresh garlic bread and a side house salad (yay pickled onions!). I loved the different bruschetta, especially the fresh tomato and caramelized onion versions. I don't think I've ever had better gnocchi in my life. We each had a glass of red as well. My Sangiovese went well with what I ordered, and the pours were generous. All in all, this is a solid date night spot, and the food tastes like it should cost twice as much in my opinion. I would definitely come back to try some of the other pasta offerings. Service is mostly friendly, and the space is nice. Apparently they have pasta making classes. Sounds fun! Vegan Corner: some items can be made vegan on request Bathroom Report: Very nice, no complaints Parking: There is actually an attached (free) lot that covers Adamo's and some of the other businesses attached. Hours: Currently only open for dinner hours, 5-10 pm Fri./Sat., 5-8 pm Sunday, 5-9 pm Mon.-Thurs.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great local Italian spot in Sacramento, Adamo's is it. I've been here a few times with friends, and the food is always consistently good. This last visit, I ordered the carbonara with chicken added, which was delicious and filling. Instead of their house salad, I upgraded to the Caesar salad - highly recommend it as a starter; it's so fresh and flavorful. We also got their seasonal arancini, which had corn in it this time, and it was so good. It wasn't what I usually think of when I think of arancini, but the flavors were blended really well and it was such a nice appetizer to share. The staff here is always so sweet, kind, and quick. It's just an all-around solid Italian spot to keep on your list.

Yelp
Adamo's Kitchen is located on P St near 21st St. Thankfully, they take reservations because this neighborhood restaurant gets packed on evenings! Not only do they make fantastic pasta dishes, they offer pasta classes!! There is a small parking lot on the East side of the restaurant but you might need to circle around the block to find street parking. There is a large communal table, a bunch of smaller tables, and counter seating which I personally think are the best seats in the house because you can feel the energy with the bustling waitstaff and boisterous patrons. I've dined at Adamo's a handful of times. They simply make divine gnocchi and pappardelle. At our most recent visit, we had their Bolognase (pappardelle, beef, mirepoix, San Marzano tomatoes) and Beef Rib (1855 Black Angus beef rib over mashed potatoes with red cabbage slaw and sautéed leaks). The Bolognase dish was outstanding - balanced flavors and perfectly al dente pappardelle. The Beef rib was fall-off-the-bone tender and absolutely delicious but quite oily because it was so fatty (which isn't really bad thing because it's partially why it was so delicious). We already have a reservation booked to visit again. This time, we're dining earlier so they (hopefully) won't run out of desserts like they did at our last visit. Last but not least, their Ceasar salads are also excellent! We substituted their side salads for a slight upcharge because it's worth it!

Yelp
It's so good I could cry. Was dreaming about the bolognese after my first visit. I had to go back to try a new dish. Now I'll be dreaming about the chicken Alfredo. Salad and garlic bread served with every pasta dish. They also serve wine from their own vineyards in Italy!! Wish I could score them higher than a 5. Just go!!

Yelp
The pasta is good here although I wish they had more options, especially with red sauce. There can be quite a wait so reservations are recommended, but fortunately we were able to get a seat at the bar. Apparently, they have their own parking one the side which I missed. I like that their pastas are freshly made. Great place for Italian food.

Henry T.

Yelp
Made reservations here for the day before valentines and was seated promptly. Small inside, cozy, possibly a little warmer than anticipated. Risotto was decent, but it felt a little flavorless. I salted it but it still felt hollow. I thought the risotto would be more wet. The carbonara was okay, but very saucy. The garlic bread was good with a crunch and I like the texture of the noodles. I've had similar carbonara, but didn't feel like something to write home about. I thought this place would be much more than what it was, so just temper your expectations and it'll be fine. I also recommend getting the seasonal items, because I feel like people who get those enjoy it more.

Yelp
I had a really good time at Adamos. We split a dish and had the arancini, and ended it with a yummy lemon strawberry olive oil cake. The wait to get seated was awhile 10+ before someone talked to us really.... so we opted for the bar. Good ambiance though and comfortable seating, just a smaller restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful though and accommodating to splitting our plate, which ended up being plenty

Yelp
A tasty Italian treat in Midtown Sacramento and one of my favorite meals during my trip out there. I sat at the bar and had very good service. Everything was extremely fresh and prepared quickly. Hard to comment on the ambiance since I sat at the bar near the kitchen, but the tables were not full and it was on the louder side so I imagine this place gets really lively at night. Would definitely come back! I enjoyed arancini and the vegetarian gnocchi and both were very delicious and prepared perfectly and well seasoned. The only downside I guess is that it's a bit on the expensive side for not being a "finer" dining ambiance.

Yelp
I think about the salmon piccata at least twice a week. Haven't been here in a couple of months and finally made it tonight. Holy cannoli.... I could cry tears of joy when the first bite hit my mouth. Anything you order will be the most delicious thing you've ever had. I had the Caesar salad (best I've ever had), salmon piccata (I dream about this dish; it's my favorite thing in the whole world), and cannoli. Ugh I wish I could eat the whole meal all over again. Our server was so sweet! She checked on us at the perfect times, and the woman bussing the tables grabbed our empty plates and glasses right when we were done. The owner John is such a sweet man. We took his pasta making class a few months ago and learned so much about Italy and pasta. The ambiance is the perfect Italian vibe.

Yelp
Such a gem! It's small and cozy. The decor was really great to look at. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The food was so amazing. The stuffed cherry peppers(not pictured) are a must. The salmon Picatta was so good the pasta was cooked to perfection. 3 Arancini (not pictured) lacked flavor to ME.

Yelp
Adamo's is one of the best Sac restaurants I've tried so far. It's a small, lively place with genuinely great food. Last night was my second time visiting and it won't be my last! I live in the OC but visit Sac monthly for work. Adamo's has won my heart! So far, I've tried the peach salad with chèvre, the Calabrian chili ravioli, meatballs with polenta, gnocchi, cannoli, and olive oil cake. The frosting on the cake was so decadent that I had to ask the chef how it was made. She explained it so passionately. You can tell a lot of care was put into this menu. Don't pass this gem up! And be sure to make a reso.

Yelp
My husband was craving Italian and had never been to Adamo's so we decided it was time for a date night! We parked on the street around the corner and stopped in right before 7pm on a Friday night. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a spot at the bar right away. The restaurant is pretty small and best for groups of 1-4 people, but with a reservation they could potentially accommodate slightly larger groups. The team here was so nice! From the moment we arrived until we left we felt taken care of and that they cared about our experience. We received cups of water right away and they checked in on us multiple times to see when we were ready to order. The menu is limited, but has seasonal items and it's all fresh. I had a really hard time deciding and asked our server for recommendations. We ordered the 3 Arancini ($16) as a started to share. The texture was great, but we both felt like the arancini could have been seasoned a bit more. It definitely needed the marinara sauce that it came in. It was cheesy and a great starter, especially doused in the marinara. I ended up going with the Four Cheese Ravioli ($26). It is described as calabrian chili and garlic oil, basil pesto and pine nuts with cheese ravioli. It was much more flavorful than I expected and the little flame next to it on the menu is no joke. It had some spice. I loved it! The portion was also a good size. My husband is an alfredo or butter based sauce kind of guy and was a little disappointed that there weren't more items that spoke to him. He ended up ordering the Chicken Alfredo ($27). This has pappardelle, Mary's chicken breast and parmesan cream. He said the chicken was delicious but was a bit underwhelmed by the sauce. I had a bite and it was a big contrast from my super flavorful four cheese ravioli dish. Our meals also came with a side salad which I loved. It's nice to have something fresh and crunchy along with the indulgent pasta. We each also enjoyed some Oktoberfest beers and the small restaurant makes you feel like you're enjoying a hidden gem, even though it's a well known gem. I would suggest checking out the menu before coming to make sure everyone in your party will find something exciting to them and making a reservation ahead of time if you can. They also offer pasta making classes which is so cool! They definitely know what they're doing so it's a great opportunity to learn from the experts.

Yelp
Adamos is great! They are a really small place but the service was fast and effective. I really enjoyed their pastas. Definitely a great date night spot!

Yelp
Wow! One of the best Italian meals I've had in Sac! We came on a Wednesday night and it was packed, with a waitlist. We almost didn't stay but I'm so glad we did. We started with the Aracini, which was very good. The flavors are very mellow. We then got served the house salad that comes with the pasta, which was also good. The sundried tomatoes were awesome and worked well with the pickled onions. The salmon piccata was light and fresh. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was probably the highlight of the meal - so chewy and the sauce was insanely good. Very garlicky and the pancetta was a great addition. The garlic bread (Acme bread) was a nice treat. Overall, super pleased with this meal. The food coming out was on the slower side but they are quite busy so understandable. Limited seating inside and only open from 5-9pm, so I definitely recommend a reservation. TLDR: Amazing Italian where no choice is wrong!

Yelp
If you want a taste of Italy this is the place to eat! The food is authentic and the garlic bread is delicious. The service was friendly and the ambiance reminded us of a few places we have eaten while vacationing in Italy. We have found a new Italian restaurant we will be frequenting more often!

Yelp
Adamo's is absolutely worth the hype! In my opinion, the best Italian food on the grid! The food is perfection, just like the quaint, family-like atmosphere. I had the bolognese and it was divine. The owner checked in on us multiple times and was so lovely. There's a small parking lot behind the building, which is no hassle. I highly recommend having a reservation since there aren't many tables, especially if you have a larger party!

Yelp
The pictures reeled me in. Disappointed. Came here for a date night. I should've known by the type of crowd standing in line but I was still hopeful. I like that there is a communal table. The food didn't taste fresh, tasted rushed, lack flavor and depth. Nothing to remember or come back to.

Yelp
Small long and narrow spot. Staff friendly and helpful. Reservations recommended but not necessary. They were able to sit us party of 2 easily but 4 or more I would reserve. A little pricey but well worth it . Food portions large and very healthy. All fresh . 100% recommend.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended so I went in with very high expectations and unfortunately it was a let down. The service was okay, it was one server for the whole restaurant the day we were there, I think a staff called out sick. I felt bad for the poor girl, she was everywhere trying to do her best. We started with the bruschetta, which was a flight of different kinds. The predominant taste left in my mouth was sugar, they used jam on some of them and it was just too sweet. The flight also didn't include a classic bruschetta with regular tomato. The side salad didn't have a dressing on it, it was just mixed greens with pickled onions and olive oil marinated tomatoes. I didn't mind it too much because I'm a fan of raw veggies and pickled onion but I was surprised it didn't have training. I ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli with pesto. The ravioli itself was good, however, the pesto was on the verge of being inedible. It was very bitter and had a sharp spicy taste. I didn't mind the spice, I love the spicy food, but it was just so bitter, I didn't enjoy it at all. The sauce it was sitting in was also so oily, it was just a really bad dish. The star dish was the bolognese, I actually used the bolognese sauce for the ravioli at times mixing them to make it taste better. The pappardelle was good too but overall nothing spectacular.

Yelp
Date night! Bf and I wanted to try a new place so decided to stop by. It was pretty cute and not too full so we were surprised we could barely hear our waitress whenever she came by. The food: the octopus appetizer was my favorite! Lots of garlic though so I would stay away if you're worried about garlic breath ahaha we also got the bruschetta- three different types and more than enough for two. I got the carbonara- I wasn't a fan. Too salty and I couldn't really finish it. I liked the salad it came with though! My bf got the ragú. Much better. Lost of metered parking on the street :)

Yelp
Was really excited try out the pasta place. I love the idea of fresh pasta noodles. However what really stood out for the night was the octopus appetizer. It was seasoned perfectly and very enjoyable. Of note, it's best to make a reservation before going in, i went on a Friday night and was glad that i had that reservations because the place was full packed. Love the casual busy ambience to the resturant. The waitresses were really busy and had to wave them down a few times to get some things like drinks refilled and extra cheese. But they were really friendly.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for a while because of the reviews but unfortunately I don't understand the hype. The food was very average, dining experience was also very average and it's a very small tight space inside. Our waiter was not really helpful in recommending anything. Overall the experience was pretty disappointing.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a whim on a Friday night. He has been here before but this was my first time. After reading reviews, I knew this place was small and intimate so I hoped the wait wouldn't be too long without a reservation. We walked in and waited a few minutes before getting placed at the bar. The place is really small, has a few tables, a long communal table and space at the bar. I ordered the bolognese and my bf ordered the four or five cheese ravioli. Both were great! Pasta is extremely fresh and the sauce is very savoury! They broke come with a side salad and garlic bread. Portions are a bit smaller and I finished everything but it was good enough for me since I'm on portion control. Overall a solid place if you are craving pasta!

Yelp
Some of the best Italian food in Sacramento. Plus the space is really tiny and cute! Alfredo and the red sauce were amazing!

Yelp
Food - salmon piccata 8/10 and summer casarecce 9/10. The piccata was super lemony which we did get a warning on the menu so I do not fault them. The summer pasta is delicious. It was light and tasted perfect for summer. I recommend getting. Price - it was $8 for added chicken which is taxing. This is why it received a 4 star. Staff were super nice.

Yelp
First timer and was not disappointed! We didn't know we needed reserved seating in order to get a table but we went at a perfect time to get a seat at the open bar with the full menu. Our server/bartender was amazing. She recommended some popular and personal favorites and had our order taken in no time. I settled for the spicy 4 cheese ravioli since I mentioned I like some heat in my food. It was actually really spicy and just a little bit on the saltier side, but it was sooo good! The starter salad was also great too. I paired my dinner with the adamos wine and it was on the stronger side but still a good option. The cannoli was probably our favorite dish of the evening! It is a must! Overall, great experience.

Yelp
Anniversary dinner. Our order: octopus, carbonara and bolognese (came with house salad and bread) The complimentary salad was the most well executed with an appetite-piquing vinaigrette that tantalized my stomach, however, it could have been tossed more prior to serving. I encounter dill infrequently so I was initially skeptical when the herb covered the octopus. Much to my surprise, it was a delightful pairing especially in the company of minced garlic and roasted potatoes that soaked up the marinade. While I have no gripes about its flavor, the texture screamed overcooked - crunchy outer, starting-to-get-rubbery inner. The pastas were cooked to al dente, but the sauces were somewhat... runny, so they slid off the spaghetti and tagliatelle. The fresh parsley on the toasted bread helped to cut through the creamy taste of raw yolk, and added flair to the otherwise averagely performing ragu. The most disappointing aspect of the night was the service. I made reservations and was turned away upon an earlier arrival (6:50 versus 7) by who I assumed to be the owner. He stated that he did not have a table ready given that we were early. We returned 10 minutes later, only to wait another 5 minutes, for him to ask a table to leave (disclaimer: I do not encourage or agree with the owner's approach) Once seated, the stalling game began. No one checked on us until we flagged a server down to get the meal going after we realized that they took care of patrons that arrived later. It was nearly 40 minutes between our appetizers and entrees of my husband and I smiling awkwardly at each other, wondering where our food was. The restaurant was indeed filled to the brim tonight and possibly overbooked, but I do feel that there could have been better organization. The kitchen was prioritizing and pumping out takeout over dine-in orders and the servers were focusing more of their attention on larger parties. The environment was unexpectedly loud and rowdy for a Sunday evening, and not what I had envisioned for our anniversary. I wanted to love this restaurant like the rest of internet. Sadly, it fell flat from food to service. I am not sure if I will return.

Yelp
I hate giving less than stellar reviews for small businesses. As a small business owner I rely on reviews to improve my business as well as gaining business. The restaurant, is small, and beautiful. Our server had an attitude from the beginning, maybe it's her personality...but was not appreciated it. Ordered the octopus 5 *s, the bruschetta 3 *s, bolognese 4*s, chicken fettuccini 4*s, carbonara 3*s, salmon piccatta 1*. The salmon picatta was so sour it was almost inedible. I can deal with the food, but what stuck was the lack of attention and moodiness from the waitress. However, the real star of the show was the, what I am assuming the owner. She was gracious and incredibly pleasant.

Yelp
I recently took the pasta making class as part of an office team-building event, and we had the best time! John led the class and was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable, he answered all of our questions and even quizzed us on Italian trivia while we made tortelloni. Cooking, wine (local Italian wines), and dessert were all included. Whether you're thinking about taking the class or just eating dinner, I can't recommend Adamo's enough. You're going to love it!

Yelp
I used to drive by this place almost everyday when I lived downtown and never went until I saw this place pop up on an instagram post and it looked so good! So, I had to try it. The wait was about 45 mins because it was packed and it's not a very big place. We were seated at the bar and were given drinks right away. We ordered the bruschetta and Caesar salad first. Then, for the entrée Bolognese. We got the appetizers very quick but, the entree took awhile. But, it was all very good! So the only reason I'll give this place 4 stars is because of the wait for food. I'll definitely be back! Book a table in advance! I only took a picture of the bruschetta. Sorry!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday evening, we waiting for less than 5 minutes. Server and host were friendly and attentive. Tried the Four Cheese Ravioli for the first time with their cranberry cider. The ravioli was delicious, can't wait to go back and try more.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Tuesday evening for dinner with some friends and was immediately assaulted by the heat. They either have no air conditioning or don't want to run it. Everyone in my party had beads of sweat running down their faces before food was even served. Our server didn't check on us once after our food was served despite us running out of water and there being only 3 parties in restaurant. Food as always is 5/5. Perhaps better to visit in the winter when indoor dining room temperature is more moderate.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Sac. Fresh pasta, fresh ingredients and wonderful atmosphere. The staff is always so friendly and don't rush you. We stared the meal with the bruschetta, the sweet onion jam and divana tomato were my personal favorites. I ordered the Winter Gnocchi it was hearty and yet light with the sauce and veggies. My fiancé ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli and thought the spice level was perfect. The spice wasn't overwhelming but was present and the pesto was very nicely balanced with the ravioli and spice. I would recommend adding to your rotation.

Yelp
Fresh, hand-made pasta -- does not get better than this experience. John is so knowledgeable, kind and generous. Try the cannoli - I love that it's just the right amount of sweetness (Im not a fan of overly sweet desserts). Must go when visiting Sacramento.

Yelp
Stopped by here to try a pesto chicken sandwich and a cannoli to go. The pesto chicken sandwich was up there with the best I have had, just overall a really great pesto chicken sandwich and recommend it if you want a good sandwich or are there wondering what to eat. I wasn't a big fan of the cannoli, as I am generally not a big fan of mascarpone cheese and I think there was lemon curd in it as well but it didn't really work for me. The shell was very good though and felt like it might be freshly made there. Would definitely go back and get another sandwich or try other things on the menu.

Yelp
This place was so good. It was full when we went so we were seated at the bar but we got decent service. The pasta really feels fresh and is just delicious. I got the carbonara and I would definitely get that again. It has classic bar vibes. My only complaint was that the fountain drink machine didn't work!
