We had a wonderful dinner and loved everything — the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all excellent. A special thank you to our server, Pam. She was very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes to me and my family so clearly. She made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We hope to see Pam every time we come back!

I tried ordering pad kra pao with minced pork - as on the menu - but there was some confusion and the waitress misunderstood me and brought me bland stir fried rice with so much chilli, and there seemed to be no meat or any flavour except chilli. You can see the photo of the meal The rice tasted a bit old and bland, no garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, anything and no holy basil. I also got fish sauce and it didn’t taste vinegary or authentic. Just super sweet flavour. I asked for a fried egg which should have made it clear I had wanted stir fried holy basil? I think a Thai restaurant should not be able to mess up such a standard national dish. What a shame! The menu has some photos of the dishes but not every dish so it can be hard to know exactly what you will be given The restaurant is a little dingy, dark with a soapy smell lingering in the air. That being said, it was clean inside and the waitress was polite and friendly and service was quick. But I think she could have tried to help me a bit more. When I told her it’s not what I wanted she just said “well now you know for next time” I would return but you need to be super clear with the orders or the staff should help explain better the dishes. Prices are reasonable and there is a good selection of dishes

Update: The restaurant reached out to us today and we were able to address this matter together. We got a refund and complimentary gift from them, thank you! We have dined at this restaurant multiple times in the past and have consistently enjoyed the food, which makes this situation particularly disappointing. We placed a dinner takeout order on February 7, 2026. After consuming the food, my girlfriend developed food poisoning symptoms. We sent an email that same day detailing the incident and have followed up three additional times. To date, we have received no response. Food safety is a serious matter, and a lack of acknowledgment regarding a reported illness is unacceptable. At minimum, we expect a response addressing this incident. We are posting this review because our direct attempts to resolve the matter privately have been ignored.

I love Addies- as close to Thailand as you can get! Very authentic bold flavours, quality ingredients and great value for money. The raw marinated crab is my absolute favourite. I will always come here 🙂

After not visiting for years, we went back and it was really good. Better than expected. We all had different curries and starters and all of them tasted amazing. Great quality and great service. Would definitely go back.

Delicious pad Thai & prawn hmmnak (can’t remember how to spell it!). Pad Thai was quite sweet but I like it like that. service is minimal but really tasty & v reasonable. Came super quick too which was good as it was a pre theatre dinner. Would recommend!

This place has decent Thai food but the better option in Earl's Court is Mali Vegan Thai which even has a cute courtyard. I called in an order to Addie's and it was ready in 10 minutes. The best dish was the pad see ew. The green curry chicken lacked complexity; maybe it was our fault in getting it mild so the daughter could eat it. The chicken with holy basil was fine except it had a slight taste of something I didn't like. Portions were on the small side.

We stopped for dinner because of the good reviews and I was very disappointed. We waited about 15 mins for a table for three. The staff were very nice but I can't say the same for the food. 3/5 Egg rolls - just average 3/5 Cooked shrimp salad - the sauce was a bit sweet and was just ok 2/5 Thai sausage - too sour for my liking. I didn't like the small nuggets of sausage. I prefer the whole sausage cut into pieces 1/5 Chicken laab - wayyyy too bland 3/5 Lard na - just ok I wouldn't recommend this place. Very disappointed.

On our last night in London, my wife and I decided to switch things up and ordered Thai food. We were craving something different, so we recalled passing by a Thai restaurant while exploring Earl's Court the previous night and decided to give it a try. We ordered Pad Thai and fried rice to go. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be average, nothing particularly remarkable. I'm unsure if I would choose to revisit this restaurant when I'm back in Earl's Court again.

Busy and well run. An extensive menu and close to the Tube. They have a great sea bass dish.

I hadn't found a Thai spot in London I truly loved until coming to Addie's. I came with a friend on a Friday night and it was pretty packed, but we were still seated right away. Good vibes and we met some friendly people at the table next to us! We ordered the marinated raw crab, tom yum soup, and pad see ew. The crab was unbelievably good, probably some of the best seafood I've ever had. It's quite spicy and looks like a work of art. The tom yum came on a heated plate so it stayed warm throughout the meal. The pad see ew was pretty standard but still good. I'm definitely coming again and will try more of the raw seafood - I think those dishes are listed on the shorter menu that's separate from the main one, so definitely check them out!

Food was SO GOOD!! This place is super crowded and busy, but the service was great and the ambiance was perfect. And the food was, again, wonderful! The bowl looks small, but the portions were actually really good!

Addie's is a very convenient location in earl's court area with some tasty noodles! The seating area is long and narrow with tables tucked closely together. The servers were friendly but what my group received for dinner were hit or miss. The noodles were listed as spicy but had the perfect heat level and were very good. But, the garlic shrimp was not listed as spicy but was very hot!

Hands down one of the best meals in London. The food was incredible and the service was on point from the minute we sat down. Huge compliments to this team for putting together a great dinner experience for our family. Had the pad Thai, black pepper chicken and the drunken noodles. Just a perfect meal - food and the service. Thank you!

Came in 9/8/23, last night at London, decided to go Thai at Addie's, first time! Super recommend. We got the Chicken Sate, Tom Yum Chicken soup, Prawn Basil Stir Fry, Crab Stir Fried Rice, all superb, delicious, Our server (Nom) was very knowledgeable and recommended the food well! This is definitely the place to go to when you're in Kensington, London.

Good food. I love Thai food but find many of the restaurants are closed when I arrive, This one has always been open when required and the food is great. Nice staff, good food and a friendly smile. What more do you want ?

In London for a week. Staying in Kensington. Addie's was a short walk from our Airbnb. What a find!! We wanted soup and some noodles on this chilly fall night. Boy did we luck out. The restaurant was about 3/4 full but we were seated in minutes. Tom Yam Soup - 5 stars . A rich well developed broth. Perfect amount of heat. A notch above a hot and sour soup. We both just loved this. Ordered it with prawns. Had about 6 large prawns, not over cooked. This is the cure for what ails you even if your not ailing. Light, flavorful, filling, comforting, reasonably priced. You will end up craving this. Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew 3.5 stars. If we weren't so jet lagged we would have been more adventurous but we were looking for comfort. This hit the spot. Well prepared. Service - attentive and welcoming. Atmosphere - tables are close, and mostly full, but even with that we were easily able to carry a conversation easily. Big plus. Value - 5 stars. All very reasonably priced. Good quantity great quality If you're in Kensington and hankering for Thai I can't recommend Addie's enough.

Located in Earls Court in the avenue of restaurants, if you're in the mood for Thai food Addie's is the place to be. In the menu under rice dishes, I went for the "Khao Pad Ka-Prao" (8.00). I got this in the minced chicken option. What makes it taste good is that it's mildly spicy, the added garlic, basil leaves and chopped chili gives its Thai flavor. I only wish the portions were bigger though, it does get addicting and you wanting to get a bit more. "Morning Glory" (6.95). Because this was so flavorful, its probably one the best stir fried veggie plate I've tasted in quite a long time. You can see the sauce as the base of the spinach and it tasted sweet and salty. If you're in need of a vegetarian meal I suggest this, it was delicious. "Tamarind Duck" (9.95). This tasted okay, the downside was that the meat tasted dry and the tamarind sauce was on the sour side. Other than that it's not too bad. The service we got that night was good, they were attentive and fast. The atmosphere was lively and it looked like a popular dinner hangout place. The environment here has a modern feel to it with its lighting and decorations. For locals and tourists alike if Thai is your thing, it impressed me and I hope it impresses you.

The drunken noodles were mediocre at best. The basil fried rice was pretty good. Would not return.

I went into Addie's Thai Cafe with no expectations since the Thai food we get in Thai Town Los Angeles is pretty authentic and BOMB. The modern interior and table settings give out the non authentic - English influenced Thai food vibe. It is definitely different from the Authentic Thai food I've eaten in Thai Town Los Angeles, but the food was pretty tasty! I ordered the BBQ pork leg and steamed rice and my friends ordered the duck. I didn't really like the duck but the BBQ pork leg was so good! We were really craving Thai Food so we were happy with what he got :) Would definitely come back when I'm back in London~

Addie's is an excellent value Thai restaurant, slightly away from the main drag of Earl's Court Road, towards Kensington. The food is authentic and well prepared, and service is both efficient and friendly. Although the only Thai eaterie in the area, it nevertheless provides very good value (around £15-20 a head, including beverages). The interior is decorated in warm, pleasing tones, giving it a very cosy ambience. The only gripe I have is that their vegetarian selection is (in common with many Thai restaurants) rather limited, although fish enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice. It's worth trying to book ahead if you can, as they are always very busy, and packed at week-ends. ************************ Update: 17-04-2008 Another excellent meal, and two courses with three bottles of wine between 4 of us came to just under £25 each, including service. They will now do tofu veggie versions of many of the main courses - just ask. Booking now seems essential even on a Monday.

Came here about 730pm on a Friday night and the restaurant was already almost full. Luckily we got a table for two downstairs and was still comfortable with no air con. I travel to Thailand quite a bit so I know what the food should really taste like. My husband and I ordered a few things and I have to say the food was delicious. I was slightly disappointed with the vegetable and tofu in my vegetarian curry but the sauce was lovely. The rice was really good and soft, which is super importAnt. Thai iced tea was just like the ones in Thailand which was nice thirst quench for me. The servers were super busy running around but super nice. The gentleman that took order spoke Thai and I believe most of the servers do which is a good sign! I would def come back!

We walked in as a last minute craving for Thai (on vacation) and didn't have a reservation but, THANKFULLY they were kind enough to seat us. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. We had pork drunken noodles and a couple appetizers with all being very fresh. Tip..: unless you're used to Thai level Hot, order it a little less spicy. Very good but... as spicy as it was delicious. Thanks!!!

Very good. The food came faster than probably any meal we've ever had in London. The appetizer and pad Thai were tasty. The prices were inexpensive in my opinion. Especially considering the large portions. The egg lattice on my pad Thai was a work of art! I got chicken pad Thai, and there was a LOT of chicken in it. So they don't skimp on the protein. I'd eat here again.

Addies Thai is simply the best Thai food in London. My partner and I must have been here 50+ times and the food is consistently excellent - never too heavy, never too oily, but with generous portions and friendly service. The Thai Ice Tea is great. The starters can be missed, but the cod, pad thai, weeping tiger and massaman curry are all wonderful. The pandan crepe is a great finish. Affordable and delicious.

On the last night of our stay I chose to dine here, mainly because of the positive feedback. For a Thursday night it was booming, which reflected its reviews. A few couples were already sat waiting for a table..30 minutes was the estimated wait, to avoid the torrential rain we agreed. Luckily ten minutes later we were beckoned to a table. This wasn't the biggest place in the world, it was like a run way to the kitchen. The first waiter was polite, and took our drinks order of coke and tsingao beer. We turned to the menus, which was cheap considering we were in kensington. Spicy prawn crackers, prawn & pork dumplings were ordered as a starter. For mains a spicy seafood ramanesque soup , and chicken fried rice were also chosen. Unfortunately the prawn crackers did not arrive with the dumplings, which were average..these were chased when the mains were brought out, which the chef knocked out quickly. My soup had a very flavoursome broth, spiced perfectly. However the flat rice noodles were flavourless and I could count the pieces of seafood on one hand. My friends rice dish just looked bland. When I looked around , other dishes looked tastier..but what added the salt to the wound was the change in service. The waiter was so rude, especially after I paid the 3% service charge. Even the adjacent couple raised their eyebrows. Overall, mediocre food, with very inconsistent service. I personally don't understand it's high rating.

I thought the food offered here was adequate but not excellent. The flavors were not that striking, so I feel that it was just an OK experience. Everything was fine, although service seemed on the slow side.

I ordered the Drunken Duck for take-out. There was a miscommunication over the phone, but the staff was willing to accommodate me by preparing a free drink and promptly preparing the dish. While waiting for my dish, I saw the presentation of the food for those who were seating and it looked nice. The dish was very good. It was a proper stir fry and the peppers used were extremely spicy but tasteful. All was cooked perfectly, and I plan to return and try the other dishes offered.

I love the menu here. Wow what an awesome selection. I can hardly control myself, there are so many interesting offerings. The starters sound great but unfortunately I won't be able to sample them tonight. So I'm going for a Chilli Cod and weeping tiger which I haven't had in years. Wow, just finished. Very tasty. The Chilli fish is not to be missed. The sauce is outstanding, best Chilli sauce I have ever had! The weeping tiger was very tasty too, a little tough but I maybe caused that by asking for into be cooked more. Anyway, go try this place. Good eats :)

Authentic Thai place? This is it. On a Wednesday night the place was packed. Seriously. Packed. Many many people were popping in and putting down their name on the list or even just contributing to the traffic jam at the door. Food wise, if you like your food hot, they do them here hot, like Thai special hot. Food comments: Morning Glory (do not order the fried cod with this, it tastes horrendous) Steamed whole sea bass (table loved this dish the most) Chilled raw prawns (omg this was so good, but super spicy - not for those who cannot eat spicy) Roast duck curry (the curry was nice, but the duck was completely overcooked and so very tough) Seafood brandy (sorry but nothing special here, just a mix of seafood) Good stuff: Staff speak perfect English Food comes quite quickly If you want spicy you will get spicy!!!! Bad stuff: Long wait for a table If 3 of you order the same tea you get one teapot for some reason. 4 people over ordering on the above = £20 approx = cheap!

Came here for dinner nearby where we were staying. Walked in around 7pm and beat the dinner rush. We got seated right away and got the menus. Very interesting that they call their Thai tea drink, Milky Way. It was delicious and a bit sweet but allowing the ice to melt a bit helped the sweetness. We ordered the Tom yum soup in bowl size to share and reduced its spicy level to 1 instead of 3 - it was still super spicy so i couldn't finish it :( we had two entrees to share: pad kee mao with wide noodles at level 3 spiciness for my friend that likes spicy and i had the roasted duck pad kee mao with and order of rice on the side. I suggest those that like spicy to order the regular pad kee mao, but for me, i couldn't handle the spicy because it lingered throughout the rest of my meal for trying it :( my roasted duck was good with the rice. It helped with reducing the spiciness in my mouth from the other two dishes. I asked for this one to be mild spicy so it wasn't too crazy in the spice level. Authentic spot, and the sticky rice with stuffed taro for dessert was definitely unique compared to most Thai spots I've been to and delicious. Wish they put more jackfruit on top so the one we had wasn't so lonely in appearance. Total came out to be around 42£ which is a bit pricey for Thai food in my opinion, but it's not bad when you're seeking comfort food. Just be careful on the level of spicy.

Our salty pad sew came with a broken piece of glass (size of a pinky finger nail) which my wife thankfully spit out without damaging her mouth. How the hell does a piece of glass get into your pad sew? They just said sorry and removed the dish from my meal. At the very least, the chef or the manager should have properly apologized OR maybe let us not pay period for such an appalling and horrendous experience. Unfortunate that this set the stage as my first meal in London as a traveler. Fried rice was pretty good... until I completely lost my appetite. "Milky way" thai tea was good as well. Too bad our experience was terrible. I'm sure this is just a one off case and others around me seemed to be enjoying their meals. Watch out and check your food though.

Pretty average Thai place. Careful of the chicken in various dishes. It can be very hard and dry even in dishes like curries.

Excellent Thai food. Prices are not outrageous. Between 7 and 13 pounds per dish (for the most part). The massaman curry and pad thai are really good. As is the papaya salad (but spicy). The staff is friendly and happy.

Medium quality thai food,heavy on the sweeteners. The waitress brought me the wrong order twice.

A decent restaurant in the Kensington area. The service was quite fast and the food was good. I'd give it a solid three stars. We had the egg fried rice, duck, chicken in green curry and a steamed fish. All were quite good. I don't give five stars and the reason I didn't give four stars is because while the food was good, I didn't consider it to be excellent.

The duck was overcooked and dry, tasted ok but it was like it was cooked yesterday. The 2 stars is for the lovely staff.

Tried Addies on a cold January Sunday evening based on Yelp reviews. Was initially not excited by the decor and the less than warm reception. The place was already almost full ready right after opening so decided to give it the benefit. Glad I did! The Weeping Tiger accompanied by sticky rice was very good!

Oh man this place was great! I'm an American originally from Hawaii and while the British food has been okay, it's definitely different. Sort of lacking in fruits and vegetables, but that's a whole other thing. Basically, we were missing Asian food and noodles. Found this place on yelp near our hotel and I'm very glad I did. You know it's going to be good when you see all the local Asian population at the restaurant and when there's people waiting for a table. Good thing I read the reviews and called ahead to make a reservation! Anyways, went in for our reservation and ordered a Milky Way (Thai iced tea) and a chicken pad thai. Both were amazingggg and I tried some of my friend's pad see ew as well and that was good too. Ended up getting the sticky rice with banana and ice cream for dessert and that was also super good. If I lived around here and needed a go to Thai food place, this would be it. Pretty cheap for London standards I think at 7.50 for the noodle dishes, fast service, and great food.

Let me preface by saying a few years back I spent a few weeks exploring Thailand so I consider myself a pretty good judge of Thai food. The papaya salad was spicy and decadent and every bit of authentic as you'd ever want it to be. Be forewarned all other mediocre interpretations will pale in comparison after you've tried it. Also, sautéed cod + morning glory. Just do it

Went for dinner and enjoyed it very much. I had pad kee mao, which was one of the better ones I have had. The prawns and all the ingredients were very fresh and flavourful. My friend ordered a spicy pork related dish, which he seemed to enjoy as well. Our starter of deep fried dumplings were solid. Service was okay, though given the busy-ness, there was not much interaction with the staff. Nonetheless, everything came out on time and was efficiently managed. Ambience was good, though I wished it had more of a personality. It's not too spacious but just good enough to enjoy a simple, authentic meal.

What a great place for real Thai food. Delicious and fresh. I would go back for sure.

Oh man. This may be my favorite Thai restaurant in London. If you know any better places, let me know! I think I've been here at least twice and have always been impressed. I came to Addie's expecting a very typical place. There are tons of little restaurants up Earl's Court Road. Many of them are fine but not amazing. This one is amazing -- and priced about the same. What I love about Addie's: The food is fresh, the sauces are surprising and spot-on. Oh, and they aren't afraid of spicing it up -- a lot. We had a pork starter that left our mouths burning, but in a good way. The duck main course recommended by our server was unexpected and delicious. Gluten-free notes: They were able to tell me what did and didn't have soy and oyster sauce, making gluten-avoidance delicious and easy.

A very quaint place with not a tremendous amount of seating, but the food is spectacular. I have never had much luck with food in Britain aside from the ubiquitous fish and chips, but this was some of the best Thai cuisine I have experienced. ANYTHING you try will be great. Addie's Thai Cafe is a hidden gem in the far west of London. Few may contradict but many will likely agree with me that this is the best Thai restaurant in London. Starting with service, upon entry we were warmly welcomed with big smile by the hostess. Oh what a magic this sweet gesture does to guests especially from stoic inhabitants of London. Nextly, while seated to the dinner table, I noticed the calm and zen-like ambiance and decor they created here. It is a typical but good quality of any Thai establishments that Addie's incorporated at the restaurant which I think makes dinning experience enjoyable. As for the food, they have quite a huge selection. It can be overwhelming to those who are new to thai menu but personally I believe it is better to have more choices than be limited. You can always ask for recommendations from your servers who are very attentive and accommodating. Luckily, we knew what we want and went for it. We had Pad thai, beef ginger stir fry, panang curry and fried rice. Each one of the dishes were perfection. All were tasteful and flavorful that it nicely stimulated our palate and filled tummy. To our surprise, the prices here are on the good value thus making us extra happy to find this cafe. We will definitely be back to explore more their menu.

Addie's is one of the ten or so Thai restaurants in London that cater mostly for the Thai community rather than for native Thai-food lovers. They have an authentic menu including Isaan street-food, and a downstairs area for karaoke parties. The decor is quite cool and modern with gorgeous little scale models of street-food stalls framed on the walls. The place is frequented heavily by London's Thai students - so much so that booking in advance at the weekend is essential. The whole restaurant is buzzing with cool young Thai kids who've spent their parent's money on Kings Road early that day. You can't move for boutique shopping bags. But on to the food and drink... the Thai food is great, but not London's best and the prices here feel a good 20 to 30% more than many equivalents. We had the Isaan sausage (gorgeous but I'd give it London's bronze), a fermented fish som tum (disappointing), fried cat fish in morning glory (wonderful), a spicy lemongrass and pork soup (very sharp) and grilled pork neck (very tasty but not stellar). With rice, sticky rice and a beer and Thai iced tea it came to about 45 pounds. Addie's is definitely worth a try, especially with a big group. Book early and plan to party.

Didn't get to eat here. Came here about 25 minutes before closing. Was told the kitchen is closed. What's the point of having a closing time if you're not gonna serve customers who abide by that closing time. Terrible service and terrible management if that's how they treat potential customers. Go eat at Siam's Secret for guaranteed great Thai food and who are welcoming of their customers. Look up Siam Secret, their yelp speaks for itself.

Excellent service from start to finish ! If you're looking for an authentic and tasty Thai meal, this is the place to go to, surrounded by many locals. The satay chicken and pad thai were truly delicious. To add a local flavour to your meal, you can also order one of the Thai beers. The place is perfect for dinner. Be sure to come early or book in advance to avoid the long queue.

Addies is our favourite affordable Thai in our part of London. It's invariably busy and it's cramped and noisy but the food is the tastiest and spiciest of all the choices within a few miles - we've been testing for a decade and have eaten at most of them. On top of that, it's a bit less expensive than most. We're not talking Nahm at The Halkin but for local Thai that tastes great, this is our choice. PS It's on Earls Court Rd so don't even think about bringing a car.

Delicious food (although their spicy was pretty tame) followed shortly by violent diarrhea. Not sure if that's a reasonable price or not.

My friend has been here a few times and spoke very highly of it, but the last time we wanted to go, we called to try and make a last minute booking, and they were completely full. It's apparently known for having Thai high society living in London come through. The décor is not over the top glamorous, but it's not hole-in-the-wall either; it's comfortable, clean, and also a little cozy. They are apparently known for their Weeping Tiger dish, which is sizzling sirloin served Thai style. We also got some chicken and prawn toast and an egg omelette, as well as both the egg fried rice and the sticky rice. I enjoyed everything; we got the chicken and prawn toast first, and it totally hit the spot. I've only had prawn toast prior to this... can't say I really tasted the chicken, but it was good nonetheless. The egg fried rice was good on its own, but the sticky rice was recommended to accompany the Weeping Tiger and it came in a cute straw container. The steak was not a large portion, but I liked the way it was prepared and the rich soy sauce went very well with rice. The egg was simple but delicious; this would be a good dish to try and make at home, but I have no idea how they get it so tasty! We were in and out of the restaurant within an hour, and I thought it was great for a quick and delicious meal. That's not necessarily something you expect when you have to book a restaurant, but it is indeed very popular. They seem to be part of a group of restaurants with locations in Twickenham, Chiswick, and Hammersmith. I would love to come back and try some more dishes on the menu - there were so many to choose from!

My husband and I stumbled upon this place after striking out on a pub with no seats available for dinner our first night in London. What a find! I had Pad Kratium Ptrik-Thai (13) and my husband had the Pad Thai. Both were incredible! Great service as well. Highly recommend.
