Great place for a walk, run or an evening stroll. Great events all year and walking distance restaurants

Had a great visit to Addison Circle Park for Oktoberfest. It is so nice for public events with areas for the whole family to relax and play.

Beautiful park and walk. I was pleasantly surprised. Well done and clean restrooms

Google
Spacious park in downtown Addison with walking paths, large green spaces, fountains, and plenty of shade trees. The park is large enough to feel like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. There are benches if you'd prefer not to sit on the grass. Seems like a nice place to go for a stroll before or after visiting some of the restaurants close by. There's plenty of street parking along the side of the park. Doesn't look like there are any parking fees.

Love this park. Great sunset view and a lot of people out exercising and walking their dogs. Well maintained and clean park.

Google
A very nice park where families come to relax while taking a walk. I saw people walking their dogs and kids playing in the water fountains. Restaurants and bars are nearby which would allow visitors to spend a whole afternoon. Free parking available in the street and in the backstreet.

The park features spacious green lawns, a large fountain, and scenic walking paths, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, or enjoying outdoor activities. The park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, from concerts and festivals to outdoor movie nights, creating a vibrant atmosphere. With its family-friendly vibe, beautiful surroundings, and convenient location, Addison Circle Park is a great place to unwind or enjoy community events. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax or get active!

Although it rained early, event staff was prepared for attendees to seek shelter. Then we came out for a great day of food music and festivities! Taste of Addison was awesome!

Yelp
Great park in the center of the city of Addison. I often frequent it since it's nearby as a great place to walk my dog, exercise or just relax on a blanket and unwind. They have restaurants near by and it's a safe area overall I'd say to walk even in the evenings, there are usually people around since it's in the center of many apartment complexes and homes. They host alot of different events throughout the year too, which are fun, most of them free while some, such as the Taste of Addison cost money but are still worth checking out. They're planning on renovating the park soon, so I can't wait to see what they do to it. I do think that's the one thing they're missing, is more to do at the park. It'd be nice if we got a pickleball court, or a playground or something to entertain yourself while you're there. I think it'd attract more people for sure.

Yelp
The perfect Eclipse Post Up!!! I love how everyone came together and this location was and felt very safe!!

Yelp
Addison Circle Park host different events throughout the year, such as Addison October Fest & Addison After Dark. The park often promotes wellness and inclusion and partners with local business in the area. Addison Park is also surrounded by restaurants and bars.

Yelp
What a beautiful and spacious park! The grounds are well maintained and I was sincerely surprised to see it was large enough to house several buildings and to have so much additional room after hosting several stages and multiple booths for Taste Addison. After attending one event here, I would be happy to attend more. It's not your typical park with a playground, but there are plenty of park like attributes. The fountains are a lovely touch. The walking path is very wide- easy for someone to jog/run by people on the other side without having to slow down. There are restrooms in the yellow building up front. There wasn't much in the way of cover. There are two larger buildings and a cottage on one side of the park, but nothing on the other side. The awning is an open one. Therefore, come on a pretty day, not when it's raining. I loved that there were so many older trees, I didn't even notice any recently planted ones. It makes it feel officially outdoorsy instead of an afterthought. I could see this being very peaceful on a weekday when it's not crowded.

Yelp
Cute little park in the middle of Addison. I visited on a cool, sunny Saturday afternoon for some acroyoga practice with a friend. There is so much grass that makes it a perfect place to practice acro! I also saw some people having picnics - there are plenty of trees with nice shady areas that make the park great for picnics! Parking is available on the sides of the park. I had no problems finding a place to park.

Yelp
Nice peaceful place to walk when there isn't event going on. They even opened the public restrooms at night, how fantastic is that!? The restaurant and events in the area charges an arm and a leg though.

Charlene C.

Yelp
Wow, this is a beautiful park. It has over 372,000 sq ft of outdoor and indoor space, water and electrical hookups, performance venues, public restrooms, covered pavilion, concession kitchen, water garden, fountains, fields, and walking trails. Also, it's dog friendly! Parking is free here. You can park on the street or in their parking lot on the corner of Addison Road and Addison Circle. My husband and I hung out here and walked around the trail. There were so many people exercising, walking their dogs, sitting in the grass, etc. It made me wish that I had my dogs with me! The park itself is pretty big with nice grassy areas. It was a nice sunny, cool, and windy day and folks were also flying kites. So relaxing... 72/100 Reviews for 2015

Yelp
Addison Circle, Park is ground zero for a lot of things that make Addison Addison. For example this is ground zero for their annual Fourth of July firework show. For the people reading this that are outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area Addison is known as having one of the best firework shows in the nation. But this park is more than a firework show. There are other festivals throughout the year including Oktoberfest and taste of Addison that this park plays a central role in. There is also a live theater adjacent to the park that seasonally puts on some great shows. One of the things that I have to give Addison props on is the design and maintenance of all of their parks. They do a fantastic job making them as nice of an inner city parks as you could go to.

John M.

Yelp
This is "the" park in Addison for fun, and Beckert park on Saturday nights during the summer for live music. The three main festivals that are held here at Addison Circle Park each year are Oktoberfest, kaboom town, and taste. The main fountains in the park don't work any longer and I believe the mayor should get his head out of his ______ and fix the fountains, it's the main feature of the park and they are not working properly. Mr. Mayor please fix the main fountains in the park - i'm not eating at your restaurant again until you fix the fountains

Yelp
This is a great little place to come walk around and enjoy the outdoors, particularly now during a pandemic. It's not overrun. Of course, now that I'm writing a review saying it's quiet and nice to walk around in when you're trying to physically distance, more people will come! :-)

Adam D.

Yelp
Love this place . Really good place for the kids and walk around the park . They also have a places for volleyball games and tennis courts as well.

Yelp
I attended taste of Addison here. I had a blast! This is a very nice park to come and spend a few hours of your weekend at.

Yelp
Addison Circle Park was very nice. It deserves more than two stars. What doesn't is the Kaboom Town 2016 event. Security was little to none. Patrons wheeled in truck loads of furniture and large coolers with no inspection for guns or rifles. We noticed illegal items unfold before our eyes around us, as we tried to enjoy the celebration. The fireworks though immense were fired off south of the park and difficult for many patrons to see from behind the large trees. If they could have been fired from the north, visibility would have been so much better. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Yelp
This is a good park in the Addison/far north Dallas area. However, going for kaboom town is a madhouse. I have watched the fireworks here the last three years but this year was first time that I actually went to the park and got inside. I only did that because I had wristbands that allowed us to bypass the line of about 500 people to get in with no wait. I enjoyed the firework show and airplanes, but I'm not sure if I would go back next year and actually go to the park. There was a TON of people there. I especially would not wait in the line to get in- I'd only go back if I had a pass to get in without a wait. I usually find a spot somewhere east of the tollway off Arapaho. You get to see everything, and you can be in your car and on the road within a few minutes. Parking anywhere close to the park is going to cost you $15-$20 or so on the evening of the fireworks. I know this review is for the park itself, which you can't complain about and I would check it out. Especially the shopping and restaurants around. I do know if I'm around next year for the fireworks, I would not come to the park itself. It is just a madhouse with tens of thousands of people in or around the park. It is a madhouse. You can still enjoy the fireworks from a mile away and not have to deal with the horrendous crowds and traffic jams in Addison.

Yelp
We came here for Kaboom town. Love love Kaboom town. 30 minutes of continuous fireworks sync'd to music. Lots of stuff to keep you occupied while you wait. Live music. Plenty of food vendors. I tried a pina colada that was served in a pineapple! So cool. Good people watching. It's terrible trying to get out. Tons of traffic.

Yelp
This park is so perfect for ambiance on a date, waterfalls, benches to sit & chat, trees to enjoy the cool breeze at sundown which gives a perfect view; as well, kids love the water spouts that pop up out of the ground, that they can splash through on a hot day without getting completely soaked. The best part is how the trails curve around the entire park to walk and learn (names of various Texas cities are along the walk), to discover the importance of all plaques on the trails. This park is used for the events held in Addison, which is the perfect size, lots of grass. benches, rolling hills to play sports (frisbee, kick around a ball), have chili cook-offs, hold starts and finishes to 5K and 10K runs so that afterwards, the music for the event and any awards ceremony, breakfasts, etc, can roll on without disturbing the local residents. Many ppl bring their pooches to walk, too, which they love as well, with poopy bags provided to clean up after they do their duty. The park does it all for us!!

Yelp
I love taking my dogs on leashed walks here. Being surrounded by the trees and greenery feels peaceful. You can always find other people sitting on benches, picnicking, playing catch, or exercising. Aside from the large events Addison hosts here, I often see fitness classes held in this park. The fountain area is pretty cool too. I recently discovered there are cameras on certain light poles. I feel very safe at this park and enjoy my time there.

Yelp
Went here for Shakespeare in the Park and I never knew about this little spot in the heart of Addison. It's a huge park with giant open green spaces and a very nice performance area where the play was performed. From every direction it was easy to see the stage, but I do think this location is considerably smaller than the one in Dallas - so make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time if you are here for Shakespeare in the Park! They also have nice bathrooms, and a lot of pretty spaces, so I wouldn't be surprised to see outdoor weddings/parties here in the spring/summer.

Yelp
This turned out to be a great venue for our engagement photo shoot! I work around the corner & didn't even realize I was so close to such a stunning park with various natural backdrop options to choose from.

Shaun D.

Yelp
A nice sized park, green grass, with plenty of trash cans and pet waste bags for owners to clean up after their pets. A great place to go for a jog or to walk your dog. A lot of picnic tables are located under a well shaded area full of trees and there are plenty of ground fountains for you to walk through to keep cool. A very nice, upscale feeling neighborhood with plenty of shops and bars for a nice night out. Located right next to the Water Tower Theater. Everyone seems to be friendly and social in the park. Truly a great place to go if you're an animal lover!

Chelsea R.

Yelp
It's a nicely groomed area for those that are looking for a quick run or stroll. Plus, it's surrounded by so many restaurants and shops...you could easily go for a jaunt and then skip on over somewhere for brunch! I would not come out of my way to go here but I do enjoy the area when I'm down here for a festival which there are several of them held throughout the year. It's definitely a lot of people out and about though so you will always feel safe and lots of areas to park. So bring your doggies and the family and come here for on a nice, sunny afternoon!

Kellie C.

Yelp
5 stars for all the POKE stops!! Tons of people walking around hunting Pokemon's on a Saturday! Everyone was friendly and the park was beautiful!!! Lots of benches to rest. The water features are a great touch. I know hunting Pokemon is silly for a grown women to be doing but I probably wouldn't have checked out this great park had I not been trying to "Catch the all"!!!! Hahaha

Jared C.

Yelp
Addison Circle is a gem for the Metroplex. It's great to walk around and check out different restaurants and shops even though there is a bunch of vacancy right now. Whether your in the area for a specific event like Kaboomtown, Octoberfest, a free concert in the park or the Water Tower Theater, Addison Circle provides a nice walk to see the sites. The large blue sculpture is a fun monument to explore. Next to the fountains, there are placards that break down the sculpture into several parts and explain the meaning which provide ms insight into the history of the area. Also, there are a bunch of Pokémon around the fountains if that's your thing - I just enjoy watching people play rather than playing myself : )

Jade S.

Yelp
I love this park. I come here often, and the simplicity of it continues to bring me back. I love how small it is it makes it feel more like a community.I bring my newborn daughter here with a nice blanket, some toys, and a warm bottle and I just relax on the grass and enjoy the area. They have beautiful fountains, people have yoga, bootcamp, and flag football here. It's very pet friendly, and it's overall just so beautiful.

Lindy C.

Yelp
Great park for running, sports with friends or a picnic. Lots of water fountains through the park and stations for people with pets. Four legged friends are good to bring along because many other dogs are in the park and the water fountains have a second spout at the bottom for pets to hydrate. Everyone is good about cleaning up messes. I primarily run at this park and enjoy it very much because the trail runs up and down slight hills. Other runners are courteous to move to the side to let you pass. Runners with pets are a plenty and I love the look on the doggies faces. Parking on the street at Addison circle and Addison road runs long. You can park ok both sides of the road so there's usually available parking. I've only had issues a few times during "peak" times. Luckily there are parking garages with visitor parking on the same road. On the off chance there isn't parking there then there's also street parking a block down and in the area before the dart parking. Overall it's a good park but there are many closures when events go on. Usually when events happen in Addison they take place on the park grounds and close off the entire park and many streets around. Must avoid during those times...obviously haha.

Mindy C.

Yelp
Great, clean park. Clean public restrooms, which has terribly long lines during events. A lot of events get hosted here and it's very convenient as I have friends that live within walking distance. Parking is terrible when there are events, as it leaves the public with not a lot of options. Options that are a bit of a walk too. Plenty of trash cans throughout the park, so if you have a dog there is no excuse to not pick up after it. Short and sweet review because people really only come here for the events. What is offered at this park during events vary.

Lacy G.

Yelp
What a great place! Good for a Sunday stroll or an afternoon jog, it has plenty of space for dogs, people, and pokemon. I recommend stopping by the little local cafe nearby before heading out for a walk. Great respite from quasi-urban living.

Cristella L.

Yelp
How have I lived in mere minutes from this park without realizing how beautiful it is on a sunny day? I ran several laps around the park and through Addison Circle today, making my four mile run that much shorter. The beauty, the atmosphere! Seriously- I know I sound gushy but revelations! The crowds of people at the Loop Festival, the kiddos, the dogs, and the beautiful pink tulips made my run that much more special. The sprawling fields with the winding sidewalks make for great events. The fountains are beautiful and the benches make for good people watching. The water fountains and clean bathrooms give this park that more of an edge. Also, the great events that get hosted here boost my love of the city. I'm a big fan of the shops and love bringing people over to Addison Circle. This park is even more of a reason to brag. I'm always looking for new places to help me keep my love of running and Addison Circle Park does just that. I wish I could explain the odd epiphany that comes with a finding a new running spot but just trust me. Look for me, I'm the girl with the big smile and her eye on the tulips. Edit: For those who run seriously, a lap around the outer perimeter of the park..follow the sidewalk in front of Quorum, up the side street that runs by Water Tower Theatre, down Addison Road, and down Festival Way - measure .6 of a mile. Good to know!

Christina R.

Yelp
Great park if you have a dog or kids, but I would recommend against letting your kid play in the grass where the dogs have done their business (for very obvious reasons). People are generally good about picking up after Fido's #2, but after a good rain, the odor of urine permeates every inch of this place, it just can't be sanitary.

Jeff F.

Yelp
Hands down one of my top 3 favorite places in Addison. Great place to go for a run or walk and so peaceful. The park is always in a great shape and always offers a great view when I go for runs here. Even if you enjoy sitting outside to read or whatever your hobby is on a nice day, make the trip out here!

Katelyn B.

Yelp
Love this area to walk your dog or yourself on a sunny day. It reminds me of shops of legacy in Plano which I love walking around- love the shops and great area to live around if you enjoy being around people and noise

Kacie M.

Yelp
I LOVE Addison Circle Park. It's beautiful and great for walking. The fun fountains on one side, cute side-walk restaurants right across the street... it's calm and gorgeous. Also, Addison does a great job of scheduling plenty of summer activities here. They usually do a play in the park during the Fall, they have the taste of Addison, Kaboom town on Independance day, Octoberfest, and then right around the corner they have July Jazz and a number of other summer live music and dancing concerts.

Rachael M.

Yelp
I love walking around this area of town! This park is pretty unique in that it is well kept and generally well lit at night. A lot of people walk their dogs here or let their kiddos play in the many fountains spread out near the circle. It is near several restaurants (Avanti, Antonio's, etc.) and businesses so there is always something to do. I know I always enjoy walking off my meals after a night of overindulging my taste buds. This place is ideal for a mid-afternoon stroll or as an area to just relax.

Jen V.

Yelp
I've been to a few events here, mainly festivals to celebrate different heritages and what not. I do love the layout, kind of park like but a good set up for various vendors with paved walkways. I do wish there was better parking for a larger area...coming off of a recent broken foot I was required to trek through a large grassy, rocky area to get to the gate to enter.

Ya Lun W.

Yelp
as good as a park gets...trails, chairs, water fountain, pet waste bags... and shops around the circle w/ patio seating which is good.... and several times a year this place turns into festival grounds... always a good place to take the pups or just hanging out with friends or for photos

Johnson L.

Yelp
It is a pretty chill place. Great place for you to walk your dog and also a good place for you and your girlfriend to for a walk. Also, they always have special event through out the year. My favorite one to go is taste of addison and oktober fest.

Julie G.

Yelp
Love it here!! It's awesome for taking the pets for a nice walk and the fountains are great in the summer for cooling down! I love coming here and walking around on a cool night! Great scenery and just a very chill place!

Rachel E.

Yelp
Pretty busy park. I usually go a little farther up the street where it's quieter. There are so many people and dogs walking that I couldn't really relax. The park is pretty and the fountains are nice. But overall, I like my other spot. It is much more peaceful and I don't have to worry about my dog walking to close to someone else's dog.

Sagar R.

Yelp
I love this place ! I used to stay exactly in Addison circle for 4 months in winter and never quite cherished it. But yesterday I went there to show my parents the places, I was amazed by its beauty in Summer. There is definitely more greenery now, the huge blue rods compliment the place.

Somchai I.

Yelp
i like this neighborhood. just 5min from the galleria and it has lots of great scenery and local restaurants nearby.

John B.

Yelp
Good park. They seem to have taken down their police cameras, which used to follow you with their moving eye, as you walked around the park (which I found a bit creepy, to be honest). Not sure if they just took them down for maintenance, or for good. But I like it. My only issue with this park other than the dog owners who don't clean up after their pets (the minority, thankfully) are the leaf blowers, which are incessant (in a town that already is loud due to traffic and the airport), and which often operate from 8:30 a.m. to into the afternoon. Par for the course in modern America, but that doesn't make it right. Leaf blowers use 2-cycle engines with no pollution filters (like cars have), making them not only very, very loud, but also very bad for the environment (far worse than cars). So these guys walk around spraying dust into the air, dried dog dirt, and all other kinds of stuff that your kids then breathe in. It is messy, loud, and bad for our environment. And Addison, Texas, with absolutely no sense of irony, has signs up about how "green" the town is (it reminds me of those signs that say "Pets Rule !" and right under it, the 6 things pets cannot do in the park.
