A very authentic Portuguese restaurant with whole octopus being a popular dish! It's also hard to find yet very busy. The house wine is good. The service is good, but English is not a strength. The placemate has pictures to help.

Walked in on a Friday night at 8:30pm and was shocked how packed it was with locals and how loud and lively it was. It was so quiet on the streets that it was so unexpected. Furthermore, we were super lucky they accommodated us without reservation. Food was very delicious and portions were very generous for the price point. Their service did not lack even though there was a language barrier - they didn't really speak English but it did not matter. I definitely recommend this restaurant! I can't wait to go back for more!

The Acorda De Gambas (shrimp stew with rice) we ordered was very flavorful. The whole octopus was extremely tender and fresh. Inside the atmosphere was quite homey and it was great to see many locals also dining at the establishment. Our server didn't really speak English and was pretty cold to us but we were here for the yummy food!

The food was awesome, the atmosphere, loud as all tables were full. (You have to make a reservation to get a table) I would definitely recommend it. The only downside for me was one of the staff (a lady) who refused me entry to use the restroom in the freezing cold because they hadn't opened to customers yet. This was 6.50pm (They open 7 pm) That already put me off, as I think that is horrible customer service for a customer who had a reservation. Asides that, the food was awesome.

We had an amazing meal at Adega das Gravatas. The octopus was incredibly tender—one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the dessert was massive with rich layers of buttercream. We ended with a delicious espresso, the perfect finish. The authentic atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Superb food. A rare case where One restaurant can be an expert on both fish and meat. You will never regret coming here. Everything is happy and food is delicious

Great food Unfortunately we could not have cobh . But 🐙 , tuna and raw meet was delicious!! I will definitely back

Fantastic restaurant and a perfect place for some authentic portuguese food. We asked the waitress what’s the best fish, she said she don’t like fish. How can you not like fish when the fish is cooked to perfection at this place? The squid was swimming in the portuguese sea which is not The Atlantic Ocean but olive oil and garlic. Tasted perfect. If you forgot your tie just steal one from here. Don’t tell them I told you. Até à próxima.

Such wonderful service and food was amazing! Our first dinner in Lisbon did not disappoint!! Very family friendly and kindness!

This place was recommended to me and my husband and I really appreciate the recommendation. This is a casual place with very good food. My only complaint is that the menu in only on Portuguese and to make the reservation I needed a translator, but once I got there they find us a girl that speak in English and she help us a lot. The service was great.

5 star all around. Highlight is the octopus. Definitely come back next time in Lisboa.

Amazing! We went with a group of 7 and tried the Grilled Cod, Grilled Octopus, Black Ham and local shrimp special. Everything was GREAT!

One of the best tradicional restaurants in Lisbon. Don't forget to order a "naco na pedra".

This place is amazing. Top quality steaks that you cook at your table on a "pedra", hot stone. My boyfriend and I shared a novilho steak, which was accompanied by rice and fries, I ordered salted, sauteed greens and a salad. The meat is like butter and delicious and they put out a couple different dipping sauces. We also ordered a liter of red wine, and had a yummy apple crumble for dessert. We left fat and happy for 24 euros total. The service is also excellent - the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place. Haven't had any seafood here yet but it looks amazing, particularly the octopus salad.
