About a year ago, I heard about this winery during a trip with my best friend. Alan greeted us as walk-ins, but I knew I loved their wines from a friend’s tasting. I didn't even need to try more, I became a wine member on the spot. Alan opened up a bottle of Rose for us and let us enjoy it while he packed my "first shipment." A year later, here I am with my boyfriend enjoying a quick getaway for the weekend, enjoying our host, Alan once more. We had a great experience and he really took the time with us to just explain what we were tasting. However, this time we enjoyed hearing Alan's story of how he became an employer and his love for wine. His story was so unique and honestly, made us love Adelaida even more. We loved loved every minute of being with Alan outside before the heat came in. We have had some truly memorable experiences with Adelaida! From my initial visit with Alan, which made such a strong impression, to my birthday visit in January and our subsequent visits to member events,( we came in April for the Twilight event!! AMAZING!) it’s clear that your wines and hospitality have made a lasting impact. It’s always wonderful to find a place that consistently exceeds expectations and makes each visit special. We look forward to our next visit and can’t wait!

Thank you Bryce for the informative and pleasant tasting of the wine line up. Thank you Paul for your hospitality. Thank you Jeremy for making such great wines! Thank you all for an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

Google
We had the opportunity/honor to visit the California in JUN_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about wine history and legacy. We did visit and plant tour at Adelaida Vineyard & Winery, and for sure it's a remarkable place with amazing scenic. Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege. Anna's White 2022 definitely it's excellent choise.

Google

My husband and I had a recent visit to Adelaida Winery. It was a very windy and rainy day (Feb. 13) but the staff was very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with Michael's guidance. The Grenache Blanc was outstanding and the 2019 Syrah exceptional. We love this winery. Gail & Paul Miller Tulalip, WA

Google
Wow! By far our favorite place. We had a private tour and our guide made it an experience. We loved the ambiance, person, wine and the paired foods. We loved the whites and reds. We couldn’t leave without filling the car with wine and promising we will be back.

PS

Google
Beautiful winery, enjoyed their wines, Zinfandel was very good but they don’t serve any food , which was disappointing. Our server had very casual appearance and attitude. They do allow outside food on their back patio , which we learnt on getting there . They customize the party’s name on the Menu , which was kind of cool . They also have Tesla charging station in the parking .

Google
I attended an event where Adelaida was pouring tastings. I immediately loved their Picpoul and I was given 2 complimentary tastings at the winery. I went today with some friends and was not disappointed. The grounds were beautiful and the tasting room was comfortable and spacious. There were even EV chargers there which made it super convenient for us as we were coming from Orcutt. Our server (Jenn) was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The wine was really great. We even got to try a few of the wines from the menu that weren't included in our tastings. I didn't feel rushed, nor did I feel like I was waiting forever for my next pour. I would recommend coming here if you're ever in the area. It's a bit far for me to come on a regular basis, but if I'm tasting in Paso again, I'd stop by here for sure. Only thing I didn't really like is that we couldn't bring in outside food to the tasting. I get that it takes away from the flavors of the wine, but after a few, I needed something to munch on. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Yelp
In a place like Paso Robles where there are many, many choices of wineries to visit, Adelaida stands out. It is set in the midst of beautiful rolling vineyards and has a large tasting area. They take walk ins but reservations are encouraged. When we arrived, we had a table set for us and a personalized tasting menu. We are red wine enthusiasts and really enjoyed their red-heavy offerings. So much so that we joined their wine club. We will definitely be back!

Daisy S.

Yelp
Beautiful winery with amazing staff! Our large group of 8 walked in without a reservation since we had some time to kill in between other reservations and they happily moved some tables around and took us on their outdoor patio :-). We had just enough time to share a bottle so our sommelier graciously gave us a few tastings to share. We decided on Anna's Red. However, their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was our favorite. IMO, if you're going to splurge, that would be the bottle!!

Trish S.

Yelp
Great visit here! Michael was great host and we learned a lot about the wines and the region! Michael also recommended other great spots for us to try.

Donna G.

Yelp
Great place for tasting.... Did the Classic tasting and liked all 5 wines, which is a rare occurrence. Romeo was our server and he was friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful setting.... Will definitely return

Krysanne B.

Yelp
So we hadn't planned to visit Adelaida, but we had some additional time for a wine tasting, which turned out to be the best case scenario. I do recommend reservations for every tasting, but we were lucky enough to get seated as walk-ins. The customer service was excellent. Kennedy knew her wine and made us so comfortable. The entire experience was conversational, and Kennedy made it seem like she was invested in our wine journey. We ended up walking away with 3 wine bottles, an increased comfortability with wine selecting, and some great photos courtesy of their Instagram worthy vines out front. Overall stellar experience - comfortable, educational, fun, and beautiful because, let's be honest here, the scenery is breathtaking.

Yelp
Classic Flight: $25/tasting for 5 pours (fee waived with two bottle purchase), and a Reserve Flight: $40/tasting (fee waived with two bottle purchase of signature wines). Second visit, but first time we were able to do a tasting. We made reservations and upon arrival were presented with a custom printed tasting menu just for us (see picture). There's a large bar in the main tasting room, however all of the tastings are done at private areas, both off the lobby and outside on the covered deck. I think we had the best seats, the "living room pit" right next to the stone fireplace. WINES: On our recent visit, Bob poured for us and was an exceptional host. Very knowledgeable about the property, the vineyards, and the wines. We took advantage of both (shared) the Classic and Reserve tastings, which consisted of one white wine ('18 Picoul Blanc), with the remainder being reds. Bob also gave us an additional pour, their '21 Chardonnay. To be honest, we weren't fans of the two whites, but we have friends that would love the crisp, acidic style. The reds were right up our alley (min. 15 months in French oak), and we ended up taking home four bottles of their Signature series wines (a '20 Mourvèdre, '19 Cab Franc, and '19 Cab Sauvignon). On our first visit, we were only able to try wines by the glass, due to it being a private club pick-up party day. However, we really enjoyed the Signature series '15 Syrah and '17 Cab Sauvignon so much, we took home bottles of each. Overall, the Adelaida staff provides wonderful service, the winery and property are gorgeous, and the wines are delicious. I strongly recommend you make reservations and enjoy a tasting the next time you're in Paso Robles. NOTE: They have two EV charging stations in the parking area, which will accommodate up to four vehicles.

Fatin S.

Yelp
What an amazing experience wine tasting with Lisa as our host. The wines are amazing. I really didn't want to buy any wines because I have so many at home but I couldn't resist. Their wines are so so good! Love this winery! The views are beautiful. Definitely recommend a visit to this winery.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
One of our favorite wineries in Paso. The attention to detail, the way they make you feel special, they add a personal touch that makes this winery excel above the rest. Michael has become our favorite person at the winery, very knowledgeable and his ability to answer all questions and make us feel at home was priceless we loved this winery so much we are now members. We did the Hill Top tasting which far surpassed Daou with the view, peacefulness and charcuterie board. They put an effort into making your experience the best and for that we have fallen in love with this winery and wine. I would recommend going any time you are here

Tina S.

Yelp
My husband and I did a wine and food pairing for $75 per person. We were personally served by an employee of the vineyard for the entirety of the tasting, with him hanging around for the duration to answer any questions we had. They had one of the wine makers come in and answer questions, and they provided a personal tour of the area where they aged and bottled the wines. The grounds are beautiful, as was the wine tasting area. We loved every wine we tried - EVERY SINGLE ONE - and the paired food was delicious.

Bob A.

Yelp
Seemed a bit...clinical. Sterile. We enjoyed the wine, the story of the family. The presenter was pleasant, professional. But no food. Not even a cracker. My mouth became overwhelmed with tannins. There are better choices in Paso. Keep looking.

Prasiddha H.

Yelp
We got to try Adelaida the day before new year and this was awesome! We got a 10 am reservation which is right when they open and were seated in a room that was cozy with beautiful views. The ambiance here is upscale and the tasting we had was delicious. We got to try 5 different types of wines, with the last 3 being my favorite. I loved that we were given stories on the wines and facts on how they are made and with what. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and would recommend others to come visit!

Bo B.

Yelp
Cute vineyard. My favorite wine was the port here called the Don! Definitely the best port I've ever had. It's not too sweet and has a chocolately finish. They don't have any food here.

Marisol F.

Yelp
We visit Adelaida after so many fail attempts to come. This time was to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday We are so glad we came, right from the door the experience was amazing , from the spectacular views to the cozy sitting . The wines where really good and we are planning to come back !

Julie C.

Yelp
We have been here a handful of times over the years since we have family who are members. The staff is always so kind and we have never had a bad time here. COVID has changed how they do tastings. Each taste now comes "in bulk" and patrons pour it themselves among their party. I kinda like this approach since you can initial pour more for someone who loves a particular type of wine and pour smaller tastes for people who may not like that style. Every visit I learn something new about the land, wine, and Paso as a whole. We love it here!

John P.

Yelp
Adelaida was my favorite winery in 23. So was looking forward to visiting again. Something did not click this year. We had assumed we would join the wine club, but there was nothing to write home about. Maybe we'll try again in the future to see if they can impress us again. Sorry, I have to be honest.

Pam S.

Yelp
A favorite place and wine club member for many years. They are consistent every year with their vintages. Today we were able to have Michael as our wine expert! He is so knowledgeable on all the wines and made expert recommendations. Very friendly and open to questions. He guided us through the reserve tasting menu. We truly enjoyed our experience with Michael excellent customer service and presentation. The 2018 Syrah was excellent well balanced, true perfection. Definite recommend you come to Adelaide if you like excellent wines

Macarena O.

Yelp
This was my favorite winery - wine wise - of our trip! I made reservations a month in advance. They printed the wine tasting list with our last name (so cute!), we had a delicious first poor (I got a bottle to bring home) of white wine, pours were generous (the picture shows the pour for both of us), the wine was actually good, the place was clean and nice, and Bob who was attending us was extraordinary!! We brought some sandwiches for lunch but don't make the same mistake as us!! Bob let us stay in the front to finish our sandwiches (so nice of him!) but they have a picnic area in the back. I don't give the 5th star because I wanted to be upstairs - where they also had heaters - but only members could sit there.

Rob B.

Yelp
My very favorite winery to visit. This is the only winery I've been to where I loved all of their wine. We had the pleasure of being served by David and Rob on another occasion. They are great. Two of my friends became wine members and new fans of their wine. No food is served. I would recommend you go with a larger group and reserve the Sensory Room and experience each wine rather than being served a a set of crafts bottles to serve on your own. It's not the same experience. The facility is beautiful and wines are even better. It's a must visit.

Gretchen R.

Yelp
Adelaida Winery transports you to a beautiful, scenic setting for wine tasting and admiring Paso's views. We really love the reds here and ended up becoming members. Hospitable, friendly staff. They allow dogs on the outdoor patio (covered), but call to confirm since things do change. There are 2 Tesla and 1 standard EV charger in the front lot.

Beatriz L.

Yelp
Had an amazing time! Service was excellent. The wine was exceptional to my tasting. Adelaida vineyard and winery has a pleasant, soothing ambience.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Beautiful winery! They even have an EV charger too. We got to taste inside since it was so hot outside. Adelaida owns a lot of the land you see around you. Their wines were good, we enjoyed their Syrahs, their Anna's red and their cabs. Bold! Got some bottles for our wine collection.

Jenny S.

Yelp
We came for a wine tasting on their back patio & loved the lodge-y atmosphere here Marlaine served us our wine flight and was a joy to chat with throughout our tasting! Great wine, any so many wines included in the tasting!

Hilda K.

Yelp
We were 6 of us for wine tasting. Great service & seating. Wines are good.... However, NO food that you can order or any kind of cheese platters etc.... That was disappointing! Our HOST Vania Hermann was the best with her information on wines & the area. She made our stay very pleasant in spite of our hunger. Thank you Vania, Hilda K.

Yelp
So you're taking a quick trip through Paso Robles and you want to visit a vineyard and winery. You have over 200 options. How do you make a good choice? In our case, we looked at a number of different reviews and rankings, and used Google Maps. You'll find there are a handful of wineries that get multiple mentions across reviews and rankings. On a map, you can see which of those wineries sit in the more scenic mountainous areas west of town. And with Street View and Photo Sphere, you can confirm whether those good candidates actually have spectacular views, hillside orchards, and sitting areas that pique your curiosity. In our case, that pick was Adelaida Vineyards. We visited Adelaida on leap day 2024. The weather was still cool and cloudy, but the filtered light only enhanced the atmospheric experience of exploring this location. Because it was a little quiet, we could enjoy an easily-paced tasting with our host Paul and ask plenty of questions. The morning was so memorable, we chose to subscribe to the wine club as a way bring home a recurring reminder of how beautiful and well-managed this particular winery had been. I would highly recommend a visit, but would also suggest being a little contrarian in your timing. I'm sure this is a great destination even when its bustling with cars, loud conversation, and lots of people. But it may be even more rewarding when it's a little quiet and you can enjoy the setting and the winemaker's art without a lot of fuss.

Carlos G.

Yelp
Big spacious yet tight quarters for tasting. Beautiful tasting room and patio / balcony. A lot of dry land to look at? Surprised the land is not filled w a vineyard/s. Friendly. Wine was good. Tasting fee waived w 2 bottle purchase. Purchased 4 bottles. This may be a bit much for some as the cost is 2 to 3 times more than most wineries in area. No snacks or food offered other than walnuts upon request.

Catherine P.

Yelp
Ambiance was 10/10. They give customized cards with our last name which made us feel part of the winery experience. Bathrooms were immaculate. Alaya was phenomenal-- no shortage of knowledge. She was fantastic. Loved this place. Would recommend.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Fabulous winery! Ask for Jess! She's a wine tasting specialist. She made our experience so wonderful! Our flight was amazing. All of their wines were soooo good! 10/10. We will come back to this winery.

Leisyka P.

Yelp
Lame! Arrived at 4:07. Drove all the way out and refused service. Would only sell bottles. Don't waste your time here. Rude and unfriendly staff. Should say closed at 4. NOT 5.

Osvaldo G.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Beautiful views overlooking the vineyards. A relaxing spot to come for some wine tasting.

Sheena M.

Yelp
After being a member for almost a decade, I show up to my reservation with my party of 16 for my husbands 40th bday. They have set up a tasting room for 12 of us and said that they have four had to be on the opposite side of the location and outside, no where near us. Obviously we didn't like that set up. The tasting room had two chairs set up that were not apart of the table but in the room, we asked if all of us can please be in the room, two people could sit in the chairs that were already in the room and the other two could stand or could we add two more chairs! And they said absolutely not. When we were booking, we did tell them we wanted to be together and they told us that wouldn't be an issue but it would be 12 and 4, but when we arrived we were hundreds of feet away from each other since. four people weren't drinking, one pregnant and 3 drivers, can we please stay in the room so we can still interact during the tasting or can we be seated else where so we can interacted, NOPE. The guy could care less to find a solution to keep us together, when I told him I'd want to cancel my membership then, he said no problem, I could do that for you with a smile on his face almost mocking me that they don't care at all about my business. We went to six wineries this weekend and spent over $3000 at every winery, not only did they miss the opportunity to make $3000 that day but they lost my membership annually indefinitely. Customer service is super important and there are too many wineries to treat my family and I like this on such an important celebration. Never again. So disappointed!!

Ted C.

Yelp
First stop in the Paso area for Wineries and while I'm not an oenophile by any means. I did enjoy the grounds here and enjoyed the wines-within the limits of my own boundaries of my wine enjoyment. The staff was friendly and welcoming and fussed over my dog which is always a plus. I'm not a big wine drinker so I can't really go into too much details about it, but they were ok in my book and it was nice to sit on the upstairs deck and relax for an hour while drinking wines.

Susan C.

Yelp
Just an excellent intimate winery. Nestled on the highest point of Paso this place just hums. I adored their Pinot and actually joined the wine club hoping I can frequent this area again and again. Thanks for fellow helpers I have found some excellent foodie stops along the way as well!

Heather M.

Yelp
Adelaida is one of our favorite wineries and tasting room in Paso Robles! The views are stunning. The staff is incredibly friendly. Most importantly I truly enjoyed every single wine. We are club members and love enjoying the wine here. We highly recommend it! Be sure to plan ahead for tasting reservations.

Hilary S.

Yelp
Loved our tasting experience with Lisa! Super knowledgeable and patient with us. We highly recommend this winery with a great variety of good wines!

Kari E.

Yelp
Came here several months ago with a girlfriend who is a member. I was visiting from Orange County. As soon as I got to her house she said, if you want to go to the winery we have to leave right now. Lol! So we made it in the Nick of time to enjoy part of our bottle of wine. It was a nice atmosphere and I hope to visit again with more time to experience more of it.

Nick O.

Yelp
Best tasting I've been to anywhere. The service was phenomenal, the property was gorgeous, and the wine was delicious. Bryce was the extremely knowledgeable and insightful with his descriptions of our wines. He had great answers to our questions and knew far more than just the "script". They were very accommodating to our needs and the pricing was very fair. 11/10

Kriti R.

Yelp
We had an absolutely amazing time at Adelaida last weekend! The wines were fabulous and we loved the personalized tasting menu. We were so happy to hear there was a deal on their Rosé wine (6 for $99) and purchased their Picpoul Blanc and Zinfandel as well, which waived a tasting fee. More importantly, the service was just as outstanding. We were four adults with two infants and everyone was very patient with us if we had to change or console them. It also helped that they gave us a private room! At the end of our visit we took photos in the beautiful setting outside at sunset. In our rush to start the drive back home we left our diaper bag there, but Sierra was kind enough to contact me the next day and shipped it back home to us promptly which we really appreciated! We would love to go back here on our next trip to Paso!

Jamie M.

Yelp
Well, here's a fantastic story of, "I've grown too big for my britches". I came to this winery with one of their wine club members for a "exclusive, wine tasting experience." In all honesty, we were running late for our appointment. I gave them the courtesy of a phone call, apologizing for our tardiness. I asked them if they were able to accommodate us or not. I was told with some confidence that if we arrived before 3:30, we would be welcome. We arrived at 3:28, apologized for our tardiness . Then, the doors fell off. The server decided to take it upon herself to serve us four full glasses of wine of various varieties---I guess, perhaps for us to share the glasses? (There were four of us) What kind of ticky-tacky establishment doesn't have time to wash glasses for their clients ? I guess this place is based on the long-standing tradition of three dollar gallons of Zinfandel available in Pasa Robles in the 1980s. This, however, is not the first class establishment they claim to be. Honestly, this whole place is kind of a joke.

Cristina A.

Yelp
Loved all the wines with the reserved wine tasting. Winery simple but great wines. Will definitely be back .

Tanvi P.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite wine tasting experiences in Paso. The wine expert was really kind and knowledgeable. The wines (Rhône's mostly) were tasty and the vineyards and rolling hills made for a really nice ambiance. We sat outside got 5 wines to taste. It's a very small tasting room and we were not allowed to sit on the second floor balcony because it's for members only. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. There is free parking on site. Nice spot and we enjoyed it very much.

Carol K.

Yelp
I only give 5 stars reviews, but I am going to make an exception for Adelaida Vineyards. Thursday night we had dined at Jacko's in Nipomo and the bartender had recommended Adelaida's cab, which we enjoyed with our dinner. We decided to get some more wine direct from the vineyard. What a mistake. Apparently, they don't need, or want your business. When I walked in and the woman behind the counter did not greet me, instead in a condescending way I was asked if I had a reservation. When I said "no, but I enjoyed your wine last night and wanted some more" I was told she could not help me. I went outside to tell my boyfriend how I was treated, but he still went inside. The guy behind the wine counter made some effort but was lacking too. We were going to buy a case of wine to take back East with us, but I guess this winery did not want our business. So don't give them yours. Too many other wineries in Paso with good wine that will treat you better. I would recommend you give them your money instead. I will never drink wine from this winery again.

Jenny D.

Yelp
Fantastic wines from a winemaker dedicated to the craft. Beautiful views at a winery steeped in Paso history. The outdoor areas are welcoming for dog owners -- our two pups were very happy. The deck heaters made it comfortable even in winter. Many wines are estate grown and the winery has worked toward organic certification -- an impressive feat. Our server Ayla was very knowledgeable and made the tasting relaxed and fun. -- Mark & Jenny CA

Christy G.

Yelp
Don't bother wasting your time! We made a reservation way in advance of our visit & when we arrived they were rude & only had a two top bar table which was not exactly the experience we had hoped for. I think they could have more comfortable seating and especially on the very hot days maybe fans and/or misters would be helpful. I have been to much better tastings than this spot & truly did not appreciate their attitudes we were very disappointed!! We left without purchasing anything because we truly felt they did not care at all! Trust me when I say your not missing anything & you'll avoid the attitude! They aren't that special!

Amy A.

Yelp
We chose this winery because of all the good reviews, but tbh, it was nothing to write home about. We prefer more of the Bordeaux style wines, which these are, but they were just ok. The tasting room and grounds were beautiful. However, with 1800 acres, I think the layout of the tasting room could have optimized the views of the property better, as the outside views are mainly of the parking lot. The staff was kind but a little dry and didn't add or detract from the experience. Overall I would give it 3 stars as we probably wouldn't go back.

Steven C.

Yelp
This place has amazing wine. This review is more so around the service. If you are white and older lets say 40+, they love you. We came with 10 people, asian in our 30s and we did not receive the same service as the tables around us. Immediately, it was obvious that they preferred other races. White people got bottled water when they sat down, attended to immediately. It could also be that they prefer an older group 40+ so they discourage anyone younger. In the end, we still bought bottles and wanted to support the winery even though they may prefer different clientele. Ultimately, due to service, we caught the drift and knew to leave. Id recommend this place to people who are older and white, and do not mind being talked down to if you are young. Wine is great, service could be improved

Steff A.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation and Adelaida took our party of 13 in without any hesitation...fantastic. Adelaida is an attractive vineyard property and the tasting area has nice patios that look out over it. The high ceilings in the main room makes for a spacious and inviting building for wine tasting. We were situated in a very elegant tasting room that was able to accomodate our party. Our host was very friendly and informative during our tasting. 2017 Zinfandel 2016 Anna's red 2016 Viking red 2018 Rose We ordered a couple of cutlery boards to pair up with the wines and it worked out well. All the bottles we sampled we tasty but the Rose is what stood out for me. This was an easy purchase to ship back home. This is a lovely vineyard with a gorgeous building that hosts the tasting rooms. Cheers!

Ellyce Y.

Yelp
Adelaida will now forever hold a very special place in my heart. The private Hilltop experience is the way to go with Ayla. Beautiful place, beautiful people, and beautiful place to be proposed to ;) Thank you again, Ayla, for the wine, cheese, and for taking pictures of the special moment~ When we come back to Paso, we will always be sure to visit Adelaida for the Hilltop experience. We love you guys!!

Kevin P.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite winery on this tasting stop. Such a beautiful vineyard and tasting room. Adelaida also has a beautiful outside patio with a beautiful view. We weren't sure if Adelaida was kid friendly but they didn't seem to care. At Adelaida there's a $20 tasting fee but it will be waived if you purchase two bottles. We didn't have problem with that because their wines were fantastic from their Rosé to White's and Red. Our hostess was very polite and informant about the wine she was pouring. Wine isn't cheap here but we still left Adelaida with 3 bottles of wine ( 2017 Viognier, 2016 Anne Red, 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon)

Ophelia N.

Yelp
A bit difficult to get reservations but if you are in the area you can stop by to buy a glass of wine and sit in their back area. There's a few benches and chairs with umbrellas available.
