"The experienced chef-owners named their first restaurant after their old home. Sit at the chef's table to watch all the action or at the far end of the L-shaped room overlooking the quay. Attractively presented, well-balanced modern dishes are sometimes brought to the tables by the chefs themselves." - Michelin Inspector

One the best dining experiences I had on this side of the Atlantic, including two Michelin stars restaurants. I really enjoyed the friendly informal but attentive service. The food is excellent, and creative without being challenging. My favourite was the daily cheese with brioche and jam. The Chalk stream trout shiso and scallop kohlrabi turnip hazelnut were also memorable. The pork belly course was superb. Highly recommended.

My second visit here, exquisite food, service and wine pairings. The reason I'm giving one less star is that the last time I visited there were three items in the 'snacks to start' (absolutely delicious) and this time only one item which was really disappointing to be honest. They also now charge extra £10 for the 'cheese' element of the tasting menu which was included last time.

Google
incredible food and service. couldn't fault our evening 😊 i had the vegetarian taster menu and all options were delicious and I felt they put as much effort into the veggie options as they did the meat options which is always nice

Visiting Bristol for a conference and decided to have at least one nice dinner. The Internetizens do not lie: this place is fantastic. The food was creative, sumptuous, playful, and well-executed. Services was attentive and friendly. It’s so Bristol: high end, Michelin-star worthy food but with a relaxed atmosphere. As far as tasting menus go, there is enough food to satisfy but not too much you feel ill afterward. Lots of veggie options and alcohol free and low alcohol drink choices in addition to a well-curated wine list.

We had a wonderful meal last night to celebrate my other half's birthday. The tasting menu was an incredible feast of flavours and textures, and the wine flight was lovely. The team knew each course inside out and were very friendly and engaging. This was our first visit, and I feel sure we'll be back again soon. A heartily recommended gourmet experience.

Excellent service from the staff who are very knowledgeable on the meals served. They are also very attentive and will take you're plates ASAP when you've finished. Incredible tasting menu, we loved each course and enjoyed the whole experience.

Yelp
Opened in December 2015. Everything is made in-house from bread, cured meats and even the butter (yes really!). Jamie & Olivia have terrific food pedigrees, working for the likes of Bryn Williams and Angela Hartnett respectively. The menus are seasonal and the dishes look appetising, showing off great ingredients in a fresh, simple presentation. It takes real skill to let the food be the star. A glorious addition to Bristols food scene and a cut above. Everything was outstanding and we enjoyed our meal immensely. A real foodie paradise. The lunch menu offers 2 dishes per course to choose from and prices start at £12.95 for 1 course. A la carte starters from £9 and mains from £17.50 to £24.
