The Best Meals In Miami For Under $15

"The Meal: Baleada Con Carne, $6 Adelita’s Cafe is a Honduran restaurant that’s saved us on many nights when we didn’t feel like cooking, but also didn’t feel like draining half our savings on delivery fees. Specifically, we like their baleadas. They have a few versions of this Honduran dish, which consists of refried beans, crema, and meat or eggs in a thick tortilla folded in half. The steak baleada is our favorite, and clocks in at about $6. Throw in a couple sides like rice and plantains, and you’ve got yourself a great meal." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

Adelita’s Cafe Review - Little Haiti - Miami - The Infatuation

"Adelita’s is a great Honduran restaurant in Little Haiti that works for takeout or a casual dinner. We loved everything we tried here, which includes the pupusa de chicharron y quesillo and chicken tacos, which came crispy and rolled up into little cigar shapes. But, whatever you order, don’t skip the baleadas. The baleada con pollo comes with chicken, refried beans, and sour cream folded inside a thick flour tortilla." - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
Best Honduran restaurant around ! One of the last affordable places around too! The owner is so friendly and the rest of the staff. They let me celebrate a big Birthday surprise party for my partner there. Everyone that worked there was so inviting, attentive, and fast. The food was delicious! They are also open very late on weekends, great spot. Will be bringing all my friends that visit from out of town here!

Google
This is the most incredible family run home cooking gem. Excellent home cooked food from scratch. Ingredients are super fresh and flavourful- the fish soup is to die for!!!! - now they give you a whole crab and full portion of fillet of fish on top of the octopus and muscles and calamari and shrimp! I’ve never had better. Extremely good value for money and super friendly staff. I’d recommend the Baleada, beef soup and oxtail stew.

Considering that customer service at Honduran restaurants have been historically bad in Miami, this place was great. Came here for brunch with my family and everything was delicious. Will come back.

Google
OMG 🤯🫶🏾 no matter how much I try to describe how flavorful their food out here is I won’t do it justice. I always get the Carne Asada whenever I’m around because the way they grill it along with the side dishes have me looking at them with puppy eyes 🥺 lol Totally loved a few other plates but this is my favorite authentic restaurant if you’re looking for something grounded and reasonably priced in Miami. And their waiters always try hard with me coz I don’t speak Spanish 🤦🏾‍♂️ they are so kind and find a way to communicate whatever is needed

Our server was great. I didn't get her name, but she was tall, blonde and had beautiful eyes. The new staff and management is definitely better than the previous

Google
WOW. I came here before the pandemic - back then it was such a delicious meal, and today it was better than l remember. O m g. The mega baleada and chicharron y queso pupusa were SO GOOD! The homemade tortillas are so fresh, the hot sauces so yummy, absolutely delicious. It's incredible how this restaurant has managed to keep their food so high quality, *great* portions, and so so affordable... I'm currently sitting in my car because I can't move lol. I'm definitely coming back with my friends and family :)

Yelp
I had to get my favorite drink while I was visiting. They make it so good. Tamar and juice, but it's still okay. The baleadas are thin and not have much meat inside, and they do have a few products from Honduras, including coffee. I had the Sopa de Rez last time and decided to get that again this time. They sometimes have pretty good homemade baked goods that vary and specials of the day. The environment is welcoming, and the music is pretty good. There's lots of parking outside and parking behind the cafe as well. Service is pretty good, and the ladies working are attentive .

Yelp
A vibrant mural greets you as you walk from a small parking lot behind the building, crossing the threshold from the summer heat to a cool and equally colorful interior, you'll receive a friendly welcome before choosing your own seat. We went for breakfast, it was a filling and flavorful meal, perfect in its simplicity. The cafe con leche was delicious. If you're looking for a straight forward, reasonably proced breakfast, in a comfortable but friendly environment- this is your spot.

Yelp
We went to eat some Honduran food since we do not find many restuarants back in SF. We ordered two soups, the pollo ceibeño, and carne asada. The food was not good. The sopa de mondongo was old and tasted like the very end and was salty. The beans on the other plate were also salty. However, the most disappointing plate was the pollo ceibeño. The tajadas were soggy and soft. The pieces of chicken lacked actual meat. It was just breaded bones. I got one good piece that actually had chicken. Overall, the flavor of the food was not good and did not match authentic Honduran food. The bathrooms lacked toilet paper and smelled nasty as well. They do however have good service and sell a lot of things from Honduras that we found helpful.

Yelp
I enjoyed my food there. It felt they put detail with the aesthetic and embrace their culture with their food and decor Everything was great 10 out of 10.

Rosie R.

Yelp
The food is pretty good but they increased prices to much, compared with others restaurants with the same plates and it's to exaggeratedly expense, the bathroom is depressing, no even toilet pape there stead of toilet paper they put towels paper for both uses, If the place were locate in a nice area and elegant I would be delighted to pay the price but here, it's sad to say that but they need to do renovate that bathroom to make it look bette.

Yelp
Adelitas is a Honduran staple in Miami great food at great prices never have a problem when I go there food is always good

Yelp
The food is not bad here at all however they need better communication with the customers, I have been here twice and I have had to wait for my food for an hour because miscommunication between the waitress and the kitchen staff. Maybe next time I'll just order my food an hour in advance.

Yelp
I've never had a Baleada until this place. I'm a huge fan. I have a mega Baleada at least once a week
google avatar

Silvio M.

Yelp
Adelitas has been a staple of Miami since the 90's, being half Honduran on my mothers side made me appreciate this restaurant so much. The same flavor that I remember when I was a kid is the same they have till this day, authentic Honduran food that's delicious, they have the best Baleadas in Miami, and such good sauces and Horchata, I love this place I will continue to go until my kids kids go, hope they stay open for many years to come, they've mood plenty locations but they still maintain that same delicious taste

Yelp
This is maybe the short version of the one we use to go to on Biscayne Blvd and we didn't know they have closed it. When we arrived the place is so small and is run by a family. Nothing was like real Hondurans food everything was salty or the orchata extra sweet. The food was fresh made but that didn't do it for us. Nice service and decent prices. All hometown beers and some local products but nothing extraordinary. One time visit was more than enough for us. Good luck to them.

Yelp
Best baleadas in town!!! Love this place so happy they opened back up!! Being from a Honduran household, this is where I always go to get my baleada or tamal fix!

Gabriella E.

Yelp
First time going there because it was a Honduran restaurant,Had to wait about 40 minutes for baleadas and pastelitos even though I called ahead and they said 20 minutes , which is quite ridiculous and when I asked if it was ready she took her patience to check if it was ready.

Yelp
Definitely comfort food goodness. The morra juice was really flavorful & enough for everyone to get a cup (we got LG size). The food is very filling & plates can easily feed two people. I made the mistake of ordering a papusa & a baleada.

Monica H.

Yelp
Great centro american food but service is terrible. 30 mins wait for eggs in an empty restaurant. Too bad as it has great potential.

Yelp
Living in L.A there's not many Authentic take you back to childhood central American restaurants, but luck would have it 3000 miles away in a little hole in the wall in little Haiti,Miami Florida I would be taken back by the delicious flavors and big portions of this place.the owner is a sweetheart and the lady's cooking in the back are the real deal the food is burst of flavor Evey bite better than the next .im completely in love with this place and if u take your time to read this take your time and get yourself to Adelitas.order the enchiladas you'll thank me later ..

Yelp
Literally my favorite place!! Amazing food, along with great service!! Literally everything on their menu is absolutely delicious!! Definitely go check them out and show them some support!

C H.

Yelp
A small eatery with seriously good food for inexpensive. Try the breakfast with the salchica and get a delicious sweet bread and a cappuccino. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and great food!

Pablo V.

Yelp
They overcharged me for food that I did not order and had an attitude when I confronted them about it. First they offered to give me back a fraction of what they over charged me, after that they offered to give me an additional taco as if that would make me happy. They tried pulling some sneaky move to over charge me for food I one hundred percent did not order. I wonder how many other customers are being overcharged on a daily basis?? Never going back.

Yelp
Hands down, THE best Honduran food in SoFlo! I have been to a few different Honduran restaurants, and with comparison to food taste, quality, experience and PRICE, you won't be let down. Start off with the passion fruit to drink, all the juices are fresh, and vary each day. Ask for the chicken tacos (or taqitos, for Americans) to start with, and don't be afraid to add the onions and salad mix they offer-once you've tried that you will be hooked! My personal favorite(s) is: -Carne Asada -Grilled Chicken Honestly, I could list a million things! But this is the spot to eat!

Karol P.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was delicious. People here know how to treat people from different places. We went there because we were visiting Miami for the first time and we came here twice because food is not expensive and the service is amazing.

Dan E.

Yelp
Loved this place. The baleada con pollo was incredible and at $4.50 it is an absurd deal. The people who run it are very friendly.

Ann F.

Yelp
Business was clean, and food was absolutely delicious. I recommend anyone looking for authentic Honduras food
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
Great Baleadas. Freshly made tortillas. We eat here more often than I would like to say. Also very good pricing that makes us want to come back often

Yelp
Excellent little Honduran cafe! You can easily miss it, but you will leave very satisfied!
google avatar

Pixie S.

Yelp
This is a little hidden gem. Very authentic delicious home cooked Honduran food. Everything i've has from their menu has been absolutely delicious.
google avatar

Maurice H.

Yelp
Glad they reopened closer to me. Food is good but the kitchen takes a long time to get the food out, even if I pre-order there is a wait but love black bean soup that it's worth for us

Genesis M.

Yelp
Horrible disgusting food don't go here and over priced for the cheapest food like beans and flour
google avatar

Cristi T.

Yelp
Delicious food and great prices. This place feels like you're having dinner at a friend's house. Everything I've tried on the menu is great and the servers always have a smile on their face. They even have great Honduran beer
google avatar

Yelp
Finally! The original Adelita's is back... Finally removed from La Palapa Hondurena... Ordered the Yuca Con Chicharron which tasted the one homemade in La Ceiba with the pork chop gravy... Can't wait to try the other dishes...

Yelp
The best food ever!!! My boyfriend is from Honduras and took me here a few months ago and I fell in love with their food!!! I always order the bistec de pollo and it was amazing but i know all of their food is great!

Francisco G.

Yelp
Delicious home-made food. Takes a while to prepare but well worth the wait. Totally recommend for authentic Latin flavour.

Zander W.

Yelp
*** Updating for a slight correction, this restaurant is HONDURAN, NOT Colombian like I stated previously! Everything else still stands, this place is amazing!

Jane R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for beef soup! Huge portions, so well done and really tasty, especially glad they've opened up nearby again! They're reasonably priced and very good quality. Yum!
