25 Essential South Bay Area Restaurants

"In 1998, a husband-and-wife duo wanted to bring flavors of Mexico to San Jose. With Adelita’s Taqueria, they aimed to serve a wide variety of Mexican staples with a home-cooked flavors, along with a full bar pouring mezcal, wine, and margaritas made with freshly squeezed lime juice. Adelita’s definitely has an extensive menu with a plethora of vegan and gluten-free menu options, like burritos made with teff grain. From Super tacos with al pastor and pineapple to enchiladas, chilaquilas, quesabirrias, fajitas, and even churros for dessert, there’s something for everyone here." - Paolo Bicchieri, Cathy Park

Really good service they have a bar also so good amount of drinks. I had two tacos with plate. And salsa and chips. The salsa and chips were really good. Tacos were OK. I had grilled chicken tacos. Might try other items next time. Ambience is really good.

We took a seat in the restaurant and our waiter Joseph immediately approached us with menus and water. A couple minutes later he came back with chips and an assortment of salsa. He was polite and attentive, two things you want when dining out. We ordered drinks first and they were impressive, one of them that stood out was the Chavela Camaron, please see picture, it came with the largest shrimp I have ever seen on a cocktail. The food arrived and I enjoyed the Camarones a la diabla. If you like spicy food, this is a dish you have to try. It had me sweating just three bites into my meal.

We recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. The layout is beautifully atmospheric and exudes warmth. The restaurant's patio is a standout feature, offering the perfect setting for a leisurely afternoon cocktail. The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors in every bite. The servers are exceptionally friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. We will definitely be returning!

Google
We had a great time, and this is the best Mexican place we’ve been to here. Wife and I came for a date on a Saturday. The margaritas were easily the best margs we’ve had in the area since coming here a year ago. The food was 5 star for the price. It had a great local feel to it, it’s not a chain, this is a real family owned style Mexican restaurant. We’ll be back. 100%

Google
Go to spot for my spouse and I to grab sit down dinner! The menu has so many options including vegetarian and vegan options that feel more equivalent than most places offer! It can get a bit busy during the evening but servers are always friendly and are doing their best!

Google
Some folks who went to SJSU said this place was good. It did not disappoint. Bought the breakfast torta and it smacked. Got one to go too.

Google
OMFG, is a pure understatement about this place. We found it based on a Google search for restaurants in the area. Nice and quiet place. Attentive staff. Orders were cooked and served with promptness and accuracy. Portions were well worth the price point, but above all the quality was unsurpassed. Definitely quality of product is definitely at the helm of this restaurant. We will definitely make it a point to return again and again to this hidden gem that we have discovered. Thank you again to the staff that made our lunch venture into event that not only filled our bellies but filled our hearts and souls with traditional family recipes. We look forward to seeing you all again soon

Google
Super nachos were amazing! A lot of meat and the chips were light, crispy and so tasty. The guacamole was quite good. The Cadillac margarita was really good! The super Michelada had a light spice and tasted great. We ended with the prawn quesadilla and a mushroom quesadilla. Both were tasty with a light, crispy tortilla. PLENTY of prawns and mushrooms in each. Service was a little slow BUT worth the wait. WILL be back!

Yelp
Visiting this area and needed some vegan food. Adelita's popped up and off we went. We were there for an early dinner and it was pretty full inside. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. There was a steady stream of cars coming and going for to-go/pick-up orders. They have separate vegan menu with a LOT of vegan options. I always like to order a side of rice and beans when I can and was pleased that both were vegan. I went with the pinto beans, but black beans are the other option. I also ordered the Plantain Burrito. Oh my goodness. The plantain added just a touch of sweetness and it was a new-to-me & interesting choice for a filling. Black beans, chunks of avocado!!, and their salsas! All of the employees were helpful and friendly. I forgot to take pics.

Yelp
They have gluten free chilaquiles! (at least it's what we overheard from the table behind us) To start we had a cantaloupe agua Fresca and the chips, salsa and guac. The chips were warm and the salsas accompanying the chips were molcajete and pico de gallo. I had two Super Fish Tacos for my entree but the fish was way bigger than I expected and I only finished one taco! My partner had the shrimp burrito and a quesadilla. He enjoyed the quesadilla and mentioned that he liked that it wasn't as greasy as other places. Still a little oily but expected for a quesadilla. For the shrimp burrito, the shrimp was plump. Good balance of beans and pico.

Yelp
Strike 1 - A sit down menu without pricing. Does that make any sense at all? And then a separate menu with pricing? I was so confused. Highly recommend you change this experience. Maybe a tablet? Strike 2 - No more comp chips and salsa? Then everything went up in price? It raises the flag of new ownership. Ok if quality is the same. Strike 3 - Attention to detail in the things that made this restaurant are all gone. The Tacos used to be incredible. (Maybe best I ever had) The shells were half crispy but still flexible for curling. What happened to that? That was your differentiator and signature. Today there was no crispiness at all. Mexican rice not so tasty (broken rice) no fragrance and no flavor. Beans sucked and dry. Shrimp in tacos are not that succulent and juicy anymore (using a different quality shrimp too?). Fish was mehh. Seasoning just a tad bit off. Salsas not balanced. My guess is that this is new ownership and they lost the original head chefs. I think increased costs is understandable in today's environment, but you just can't cut quality significantly and raise costs and complicate ordering. I hope you improve.

Yelp
I met a friend here, she really enjoys this place . We sat in the bar area . She had ordered Chips salsa and guacamole. Very good . She ordered a Chavela . It wasn't complete full. I thought odd. I ordred a Michelada . It was good . We visited for quite awhile . We were checked on but, never pressed to order . Which was nice . Very nice wait staff. I ordered a Carnitas plate. Carnitas were perfect , beans and rice ok. My friend ordered the Chicken Fajitas. I had a bite, very tasty. The reason I took a star off was - the menu had no pricing on it . I'm not a fan of not knowing what prices are. All in all Good Food . Parking was a bit of an issue ( late afternoon ) I finally found a spot without any restrictions.

Yelp
I have visited this restaurant several times and I try to pick a different dish every visit. I have Not been disappointed at all. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the decor is great. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Was craving a burrito and this spot seemed promising based on yelp. TLDR; pretty underwhelming and wouldn't come again. Service was pretty mediocre. It took about 5-10 minutes for us to be told where to sit. Upon sitting down, the previous check was still on the table and there wasn't a menu so we waited for someone to handle that. After receiving the menu, we were ready to order but nobody came by and we couldn't find anyone to flag down for the next 15 minutes. Food: I had a carne asada super burrito with rice, no pico de gallo. Size was pretty standard. The burrito was unfortunately really dry. I asked if there was any sauce available and was offered some spicy red sauce (not really sure what it was, but it was decent), and that helped. The most disappointing part of the burrito was the tortilla; not sure how to describe it, but the texture was kinda soggy and rubbery, kind of like play dough. Vibes were good though, interior was decorated well and it felt like a very cute place to come with families.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with this restaurant, the service, tasty of its food and a menu so complete. I am a regular customer and always amazed by their friendly and professional staff - shout out to Robert! Cozy and warming atmosphere

Yelp
Adelitas was introduced to me about 2011 it has been a solid spot in the San Jose Mexican food scene longer than that. You got the classic ambience, the classic booths, the classic bar in the back and also near the bathrooms They even have $.25 90s game machine machines and also sticker machines. Food: It had been a few years since I've been there and then I went in the pandemic with my girlfriend when mass were required approximately around 2022 right before the lift and it was such a good experience. The one thing that really knocked it out the park for me was the service, the quality of the food and the *Vegan Flautas plate* , just look at the picture, it's next level! Sadly, the 711 next door just closed (12/2024) as we used to get a pre-game drink There or some candy if the line got really long bc Adelitas was packed, however, go support this local spot!

Yelp
Delicious Mexican food with an unparalleled range of vegan options! As a Bay Area native now living on the east coast, I returned to San Jose craving good Mexican food. However, this was my first trip back to the area since turning vegan. Back in the '90s-'00s, it was hard enough just to find beans that didn't have lard in them. I set off on research for Mexican restaurants that had typical food for my non-vegan friends as well as vegan options for myself, and Adelita's rose quickly to the top of my list. My friends and I loved the vegan and non-vegan food so much that we visited twice in one weekend! The first time, I got the vegan tamale plate that came with two veggie tamales (filled with a mix of carrots, corn, and lima beans), tomatillo sauce, black beans, Mexican rice, and avocado. I loved this dish. I asked for hot sauce and they brought three types: green, red, and orange. Unfortunately the spicy orange one (habanero I think) is made with mayonnaise, so avoid that one if you are vegan. On my second visit, I got the vegan burrito which comes on a whole wheat tortilla (love that!) filled with mushroom fajitas, black beans, brown rice(!!), salsa fresca, avocado. Delicious. I added liberal amounts of the red and green hot sauces as well as the house salsa. Things I didn't have the chance to try and want to try next time are the homemade corn tortillas and the enchiladas. My non-vegan friends really enjoyed the breaded fried fish, the torta, and the ceviche. Adelita's, thank you for being so delicious and so inclusive and giving my friends and I the best time possible!

Yelp
5 stars Ismael was absolutely great at Adelitas -- he made my Paloma with care, and I could definitely taste the love! The Milanesa is amazing -- hands down the best I've had in San Jose so far. Great food, strong drinks, and warm service. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Our recent table service experience at Adelita's was terrible. We were brought menus without any pricing, and were referred to a QR code to scan if we wanted current pricing. When scanned, the code came up with a broken link, thus no prices. We asked for an indicator of pricing, and were begrudgingly brought a laminated sheet with prices in seemingly random order. We ordered margaritas and they were brought out well after we were half finished with our meals. The sweet and sour mix used is very acidic and the tequila in the supposed Cadillac margarita was of poor quality. Not once did someone check on us throughout the meal, and we had to go to the front to ask for our check after waiting 20+ minutes for someone (anyone!) to come by to ask for the check and to have our plates cleared. Dining in here is now out for us, takeout only if we decide to go back.

Yelp
I had the California burrito. It was delicious. I did a pick up order but when I arrived, they had it ready within two minutes and answered any questions I needed, from a few few minutes that I was in there picking up my food. It looked really nice in there and they seem to be picking up very well.

Yelp
Stopped by for takeout during lunch. Their lunch specials can't be beat for both quantity and price. I came on Wednesday which was the regular burrito (I got chicken), chips/salsa, and a small cup of their chicken tortilla soup. I was pleasantly surprised by the soup. It has so much flavor. The burrito was nothing special but nonetheless good and satisfying. The salsa (green and red) and the salsa fresca were very good as well. Can't wait to come back and try something else.

Yelp
I ordered via doordash tonight chicken flautas a la cart which was to include Guacamole * Lettuce * Mexican Cheese * Salsa Fresca * Sour Cream For $15.45 this is what I received. Never ordering from here again. Their food is not even good. Just convenient. Patricia then responded lying that my order was received in their POS system without the extras. She should know we all keep receipts.

Yelp
enchilada with green sauce and al pastor - good tamales, beans, rice, & carne asada - skip it 2015

Yelp
Everything from delicious food, great chips and salsa, yummy aguas frescas always served with a smile. Nice familial place. Adelita's is one of our favorite Mexican eateries when in San Jose. For dessert you must have the Flan

Yelp
The food was sooo good and fresh. The service excellent. Saw other reviews and wanted to add to them. I'll be back!!

Yelp
We used Adelina's to cater our taco bar. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We picked up the food and it was all ready for us when we arrived. Will definitely recommend Adelitas for dining as well as catering.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. They are really clean, they have wonderful service, and there's a fairly large parking lot so you usually don't have to worry about parking. Years ago I used to get their Torta (which was really good and I'm sure still is) but recently my favorite thing to get from here is their breakfast burrito. It's so delicious, juicy, and quite large which is a huge plus. And another great thing is that they're always consistent with how they make their food so you can expect perfection each and every time. They have a large selection of menu items so I'm sure there's so many other delicious foods to try. It also seems there's a bar next door as well (but I've never been myself). 10/10 rating! I highly recommend this place for Mexican food!

Yelp
I don't know why everyone thinks this place is so great because it's not! Back in the day when they first opened they were really good then after they expanded their restaurant they suck. We decided to give them another try today. We ordered three tacos and they couldn't get that right. They messed up two of them and then when we called to tell them about it and get replacements, she argued with us & said he made them right. Then she said send us a picture of it?!My boyfriend said I'll just bring it back so he went back. They gave me a new one but the tortilla is burnt to a crisp. I called to talk to the lady about it and the guy answering the phone doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what I'm saying?! He puts her on the phone, I tell her about the new Taco as well as another taco we discovered was made wrong. This is why we stopped gojng here years ago, never goijg back. Total a waste of $21 & horrible customer service!
google avatar

LisaMarie M.

Yelp
2 stars because the person I talked to on the phone was very friendly, but honestly this place deserves 1 star... ordered beans and rice for 10 people and everything looked delicious but looking is different than tasting :( we had gotten these as sides for a carne asada and were disappointed because the beans tasted like canned beans and the rice had no flavor at all... we were literally left with an entire tray of refried beans because no one touched them or wanted to take them home I'm not sure if it was an off day because it was Memorial Day and maybe the main chef took the day off, but I don't think we will be returning

S K.

Yelp
I used to love this place. We gave the new sit-down service a try, but it just didn't work for us -- it's clear their priority is takeout. So we stuck with takeout, but even that has gone downhill. Today I went in and asked for extra green sauce, even said I'd pay for it. They gave us two tiny cups, and it wasn't nearly enough for our order -- especially when we were happy to pay extra. Sometimes it's just time to move on. Luckily, there's no shortage of great Mexican food in San Jose.
google avatar

Kylee O.

Yelp
Had super high hopes for this place but don't think I will be returning. This place had such a wide variety of items of their menu which was a plus but what I ordered just did not impress me. Came in and was seated right away and service was good but nothing exceptional. The best thing about this place was the free chips, guac, pico de gallo, and salsa. It was the only thing that kept me happy while waiting for our food. I ordered a super burrito and it took almost 25 minutes to get it. This is honestly a long wait especially when there's almost no one else in the store. The super burrito had good flavor but it didn't even come with rice! This is one of the things I look forward to the most and it wasn't included. It's partly my fault for not checking the ingredients but almost every place I have been to had rice in their super burrito. Anyways, I also wish they had more options of salsa. There was only one red one and one green which I did not enjoy. The last thing I ordered was the horchata which was not good at all in my opinion. It was so watered down and probably one of the worst I've had. The restaurant had lots of seating and the prices of everything were pretty decent. About $45 for two burritos and two drinks. However, I don't think it's enough for me to return!

Shannon D.

Yelp
I'd like to add onto Roxanne D's review. I'm the wife of the birthday guy who was celebrating a landmark birthday. It was my son whose arm got stuck. Not one person attempted to help no one. I was frantically asking for help and even said outloud "and none of you are trying to help?!" We were denied cooking oil to loosen my son's arm. We were told they didn't have cooking oil...while my 7 year old screamed crying. The response that Roxanne got from the restaurant is a complete lie. One stood on laughing, others worked through the incident, and the others just watched. I ran out to get some oil I had in my car after being ignored when I again asked for help. Thankfully my son's aunt had something to help and got him loose. The only people outside our "party" were other patrons NOT 1 employee. I booked the reservation in advance but we were denied being able to combine our tabs to make it easier. We were told they don't combine tabs. The whole reason I made the reservation there is because I loved the food and treatment we had gotten a couple weeks ago at a friends birthday dinner. It was a large party. We all sat together not at separate tables and we had...one...tab. Back to this experience. I didn't get my meal I was told i didn't order mine but we had it read back to us. We had written our order down on a napkin. And finally, we had a kids table, the booth/table my son's arm got stuck in. As we were helping clear the tables for another reservation I found two full margaritas sitting at the kids table. They were starting to melt down but looked full. Thankfully non of the kids drank out of them. This experience felt unreal. No no one helped no we will not return and everyone is lucky he wasn't hurt that bad but it's a memory he'll have forever. Not a good way to celebrate a 40th for someone.

Yelp
This is a popular place. It was full on a Friday evening. The quantities are huge for the food and for the drinks. There is ambiguity in the unlimited chips and dips they serve. The way he asked we thought it was on the house but they charged for it. I didn't mind just that I would have liked to know. Lots of space to sit including the bar. The parking lot was full though. It's a nice place to go with a group so you can try out different things. Lots of innovative drinks too.

Katie T.

Yelp
I have been coming to this place even before it expanded, since 2007. It has always been delicious... I've never had better carne asada! The super burrito or super tacos with carne asada is always a go-to for me! This last visit I had my kids with me, and the waitresses were amazing. So friendly and per usual, the food was great. The owner is still there, and still makes it a point to say hello to patrons and always has a smile on his face. I can't recommend this place enough!

Yelp
My friend and I were starving after our New Year's celebration, so we decided that we needed something heavy. Adelita's popped up on our radar. It was a place my friend had been to before. We knew we had to check it out together. We got ourselves a Café de Olla ($3), the Vegan Plantain Burrito ($10.50), and the Vegan Tamales Plate ($16). Using the Yelp check-in offer, we got free chips, guac, and salsa fresca! Complimentary Chips (5/5) Some of the best complimentary chips out there. It is a huge plate, great for sharing. The corn chips were fresh, and the dipping salsa and guac were perfectly seasoned. Normally, you'd have to pay for these chips. Show the server your check-in offer! Café de Olla (5/5) Café de olla is a traditional Mexican coffee beverage that contains spices. This coffee was so robust and flavorful that it made my friend consider switching their daily coffee to this. Comes out very hot! No creamer required!... though you may ask if they have any. It is a very bold cup after all. Vegan Plantain Burrito (5/5) This order was my friend's. You'd think this item would be more commonplace. The truth is... we have never seen anything like it. The simple addition of plantain brings life to the burrito (and they've added plenty!) So sweet, so savory, and so incredibly filling! We also love how affordable the price is, given how much ingredients they have given us. Vegan Tamales Plate (5/5) Geez, the two tamales the restaurant gave me were HUGE. They are satisfying to cut into with a fork. Love seeing the steam produced from the inside. The tamales themselves are packed with great flavor, but the tomatillo-forward sauce sealed the deal for me. The sides were just as memorable. The black beans had the right texture and saltiness, while the rice was cooked and seasoned to perfection. If the food was so excellent, how come the 4 stars? We were told to be seated and that a server will be with us shortly, but ended up waiting approximately 15 minutes before I went up to the front and informed the staff of our waittime. They apologized, and had a server ready for us after a few minutes. My friend ordered from the vegan menu because they are vegan. It's refreshing to see a Mexican restaurant appeal to this demographic. We had only wished they were more careful when they prepared the first Vegan Plantain Burrito. The first burrito contained sour cream, which was not listed as an ingredient in the item. Thankfully, we had it sent back and replaced quickly. We arrived on New Year's evening, so it was fairly packed. The service here was friendly and attentive. We will be back for Adelita's in the future! 4.5/5

Yelp
Adelita's has been my local go-to taqueria for over 15 years. Everything is great, from the burritos to the tacos. Their Michelada is one of the best I've ever had. Great atmosphere as well.
google avatar

Carlos B.

Yelp
I had a chance to try this establishment last night with my cousin, and boy let me tell you the burritos there are HUGE and delicious The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because they don't let you know that they will charge you for chips and salsa as they offered it when you sit on the table. I had two burritos and on chip and salsa (hidden fee) for a total of 58$ with two cokes. The place is spacious.
google avatar

Reena S.

Yelp
We LOVE this place. And we LOVE Alma, the waitress that we were lucky to have the last two times that we came here! The food is very authentic and you literally have pages of options! They even have a page dedicated to vegan and vegetarian items. We all ordered something we enjoyed. It was my husband's birthday so they brought out a flan cake and sang for him! Delicious! Looking forward to the next time we can come back!
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Steak fries and super tacos are amazing. The carne asada is flavorful and tender. The super taco is delicious and HUGE!! You also cannot go wrong with their margaritas.

Teri C.

Yelp
While the food is great, they really need to improve the to-go experience. Every single delivery is a mess.. The sauces do not stay in the containers, even the Flan is a mess. Please get better to-go containers.

Yelp
Quality has dropped while prices have gone way up. Also beers are $8...? What? Nice staff.

Yelp
Really delicious Mexican food. Their tacos are good and burritos are flavorful. I recommend their chips and salsa and guacamole.

Yelp
Food was yum yum in my tum tum, will come back with the grandkids! I like taco and salad there

Danielle W.

Yelp
This is the third time we have come to Adelita's for our Easter dinner in the last 4 years. The first good thing is they are open on Easter, and they take reservations. Next, the mango margaritas are delicious, not too strong, but strong enough to be fun. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had the chicken enchiladas suizas, and my husband always orders the vegan plantain burrito. We both loved what we had. There is an extra charge for chips and salsa, but the salsa fresca is REALLY good, so it's worth it. Finally, the staff are wonderful. They are friendly, conscientious about getting your order right, and they check back with you often. The vibe is casual, fun, and relaxed. It's a great place for families, couples, after work happy hour, and watching your favorite team (hockey was on tonight.) We feel lucky to have this restaurant so close by.

Yelp
Very good food with good vegan options especially tacos, quesadilla and rice qnd beans along with taquitos

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Today I took my elderly mom there because she loves the Chile Relleno. It was so tuff she couldn't even cut it. She said it was the worst she has ever had. Then I was up throwing up all night after eating a chimichanga. I'm not sure it was worth the $75 including tip we spent and not sure I will ever go back.

Yelp
**Horrible Horrible place** please read the negative reviews from other people and believe me they are all 100% accurate. We dined today and felt so bad that I wanted to review right away. After spending more than 80$ for a sub-par food, we saw such bad attitude from the people running this place. I don't know if the owner is reading or is aware of such inconsistent and terrible service provided by the severs. Here are a few things: 1. We were told to order at the counter and wait at a table, while we saw 2 gentleman being escorted to the table next to us, by the same guy like 20 mins later. And icing on the cake is that a server showed up 2 mins later to take order from them and those gentlemen's got the food and drinks in like 5 mins. Why such discrepancies in treating people? Do they prefer a certain type of customers? 2. My daughter and I got the food (noting that I dint get the corn tacos, which I decided to ignore for my sanity) while my wife and son had to wait for additional 20 mins to get their veggie burritos. So, families should come with expectations that it is basically individual dinning and you may have to look at your loved one's wait while you are enjoying your own meal? 3. We requested ketchup and the server ack. And not to be surprised that she didn't get it. I decided to go ask them and to my laugh the server had it with her and maybe thought that it will get delivered on it's own :) And, the best part is that we left this restaurant and stopped at a fast food place to get edible food (because the veggie burritos were really tasteless). Please avoid this place if you can

Yelp
Disappointing! Ordered chicken flautas for a whooping 19 dollars with tax 22 dollars. Flautas are skinny and was not crispy, think was undercooked. Gone are the salsa bars and pickled veggie. Cashier said now pickled veggies are extra! And the only reason I ask for them and salsa because this place food is mostly blend but salsa and pickled veggies bring back the taste! I want to like this place I really do since this has been my go to mexican since it opened more than 10 years ago! But change of ownership really dwindled this place down hence I have not come back as much. You can get same amount but bigger crispy freshly cookrd flautas for cheaper at Luna in Prunyard for 15 dollars, minus the rice and beans. This place is charging nice sit down resturant price without the atmosphere or quality of food. The old Adeltias will always be part of my memory but I will not be back here

Yelp
I used to absolutely love this place. I still would, but I think that they clean with Fabuloso cleaner and it permeates all of their taco salad shells and tortillas because the smell of my taco shell is literally like Fabulosa cleaner. Terrible I just wish they would stop cleaning with that or use vinegar or something. Disappointed lately. This place use to be a family favorite.

Yelp
Adelita's is a solid spot for drinks and tacos with friends. I particularly like their jalapeño margarita and quesabirria tacos. The place can really fill up but they do accept large group reservations. On my recent last few visits, their unlimited chips that come with a salsa & guacamole order were unfortunately pretty stale. Wasn't always this way - and the main reason for my current rating.

Yelp
One of my favorite authentic Mexican food restaurants in Cambrian Park. Love the chicken enchiladas, nachos and chili verde chimichangas are my favorites. Honestly, I have not had a bad meal and everything I've ordered has been excellent quality food. If you haven't visited this restaurant, you're missing out!

Yelp
I really like this place and we order from them consistently, but they need to label their gluten-free items! They go out of their way to have a gluten-free menu which I really appreciate but then they don't label which one is which which could be really dangerous. I usually have to open up my food there or if i can't, call and double check when i get home because the gluten-free items are not labeled. Other than that, they have good options and are decently priced.

Yelp
10/03/2024 - My hubby & I walked in at 8pm, after we set down, 2 other families came behind us. The server took our order around 805pm. After seeing others, who came after got their food before us! I asked the server where is our food as it was 845pm. The server went to check the status of our order, he came back and said there is some issues with chicken in the kitchen! After they realized that they forgot to enter our order through kiosk, server then returned with plate of chips & salsa and said "this is on the house" It was almost 9pm, when I started to get upset! My hubby has to take medication with food, waited for almost an hour to get chicken soup and his Flautas While others that came after us, kept getting their food before us. Even other people around us kept looking at us not getting our food?? 2 Ladies came up to us and said why your food hasn't arrived and that others after us are getting their food?? I was like, maybe they still cooking my simple chicken soup?? Extremely disappointed, we will NEVER return! This was our first and last time to this restaurant! Tables were dirty, weak lights and dirty dishes left behind on the tables from previous customers!

Yelp
I was craving a burrito and haven't eat here in a while so here we are it's Nice Mexican looking restaurant good amount of people and plenty of tables. There's dinning inside and outside. Service was great we were seated right away inside and our server was a sweet lady. I love that they have lots of vegetarian options but still I got a carne asada Cali style burrito and it was good, basic but delicious. The menu is huge so there's lots to try and will have you wanting to come back to try more! Ooh and there's a bar! lol

Yelp
This place has good Mexican food and service was friendly , prompt. I called for an RSVP on a weekday so we were seated right away. I ordered a carne taco and it really has a lot of meat with almost no vegetables and a small slice of avocado. Meat was a tad chewy and not very flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their orders well enough though. The bath room was smelly and had graffiti scratches on the mirror. Such a shame that the poor restaurant was vandalized like that.

Yelp
I went to Adelita's to meet some friends for the first time at Happy Hour, and it was great. I ended up ordering 2 margaritas, the house and the top shelf margarita. Of the 2, I would highly recommend the top shelf, because you can taste the tequila, and packs a punch well worth the money. The bartender was also extremely quick with the drink turnaround, like when my friend ordered a margarita, he turned around to come back to our table, and the bartender was only about 3 seconds behind with a drink in-hand. I also ordered some quesabirria tacos to go, and they tasted great. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Yelp
After hearing nothing but great things about Adelita's over the years I was thrilled when my friend suggested it for dinner. Sadly that excitement and thrill was quickly killed upon my disappointing visit. The service we received from the employees when we interacted with them was wonderful, everyone was friendly, and cared about giving you good service. However, the place fell short just about everywhere else. Though there was only one group in front of us in line to order, is still took about 10 minutes to finally get called up due to phone orders. We did the Yelp check in offer of free chips and salsa and were assured that they would be brought out immediately. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting and still not receiving our chips I checked in with the kitchen, where they immediately built a plate for me (there's that good service I mentioned). Exactly 30 minutes after receiving our chips, and about 40-45 minutes after ordering, our food finally came! This was the moment I'd been waiting for and dreaming about. First took a bite of the refried beans, pretty meh and kinda dry. Took a bite of the rice, not bad, but have had better. Next the enchiladas rojas, a crushing blow - they weren't that good. They came three to a plate and were absolutely loaded up with chicken, so I will give them that. But something just seemed off about them. I'd never had a rojas sauce that tasted quite like it, and I didn't love it. Honestly the only thing that wowed me was the salsa. Parking is extremely limited and just about all the spaces in the center are dedicated to specific businesses. After circling 3 times, looking in the nearby neighborhood, and finally deciding "screw it, starbs is closed, I won't get towed" I found a spot. Probably won't come back here because it was an expensive meal to not enjoy, maybe I'll give their breakfast burritos a chance sometime...can't be that crowded in the am.
