"There are a few must-visits beyond the fair circuit, including the Association of Industrial Design’s cathedral-like ADI Compasso d’Oro Design Museum. Newly opened inside a ca.-1930 depot for horse-drawn trams, its collections retrace the history of all things Made in Italy."

Great place. As an industrial designer it felt like a small dream come true. Where there and was not disappointed at all. All the items were presented fantastically. I genuinely had a lot of fun going around through all these objects and reading about them. Even my girlfriend enjoyed and she usually cut very fast to the closest sitting area reading a book when she's bored. And it didn't happen she was moving around being all curious and adorable. Yes I was a bit industrial designer dushnila but I couldn't help it. I love it.

A wonderful and informative museum demonstrating the history of design from the 1900's to the present day. Tons of impressive displays and informative signage. While outside of the city center, the museum is a must see to understand Italian design style and techniques. Every guest receives a complementary free design poster, a super nice touch!

For anyone interested in industrial design and a unique location this is very much recommended. Take the time to explore well known and less known objects the last decades. Moreover sit and relax at the café and look around you. Nice to escape the busy streets and focus on historical designs.

A lot of sleek, beautiful Italian design on display - both the classics we all know as well as the everyday designs we maybe do not really notice. Unfortunately, this relatively new museum, has no interactive elements, nor does it tell much of the story behind the designs. That is a big shame.

The ADI Design Museum in Milano is a treasure trove of Italian design. The sleek, minimalist space perfectly highlights iconic pieces, from furniture to everyday objects, showcasing their history and innovation. The exhibits are well-curated and engaging, offering a glimpse into the stories behind these timeless designs. The staff is helpful and passionate, adding to the experience. If you love design or just want to explore creativity at its best, this museum is a must-visit. It’s perfect for design enthusiasts and curious minds alike—ideal for a quiet afternoon in Milan!

Vibrant designs, affordable, but missing history The museum takes you through decades of award winning industrial designs that pushed the modern everyday life forward. The focus is on Italian designs and style, but there is a missing link between the purpose and the impact of the exhibited designs, which makes the substance of the museum harder to grasp. Everything from exotic cars to industrial shelving, the museum still has pieces for everyone to enjoy. In the end, you get a poster of your choice!

The beauty of mundane design is so well exemplified in ADI collection. The museum gives you a tour through the decades and shows the care in household itens and common places, with the visitor being able to choose one poster in the end (a really hard decision as all of them are amazing). Top 10 chair designs for sure haha

Liked the the stuff that was shown, but the arrangement was really random. Little disturbing fact was that they had rearrangements during our visit and the reconstruction noises were really loud. Liked that we could pick a poster in the end of our visit.
