"Bagno Vignoni The location: Bagno Vignoni, a hamlet in the province of Siena well-known for its dramatic hot springs, overlooking Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004 Top amenities: Thermal swimming pools, sauna, steam bath, holistic spa One of the most unique places to stay on this list, Hotel Adler Thermae makes use of its location on Tuscany's hot springs in the most delicious way possible—by providing a compound of thermal swimming pools, baths, and spas full of travertine grottoes, stalactites, and stalagmites, for guests to luxuriate in. Staying somewhere like this is one of those wish list travel experiences most people only dream about. The resort has plenty of other things going for it too, though: a glass-roofed restaurant, stellar wine list, and in-room terraces, to name a few." - Alex Erdekian

The rooms are great, stylish, and comfortable. We are happy that the reception changed our initial room (20X) facing the pools, to another room (40X) facing the countryside. This is consistent with what the confirmation we had promised.||Service is very good, same as the facilities: pools, gardens, communal areas, food, electric car charging, garage, … all to the highest standard.||The only thing which could be improved is the dining experience. Our impression was that the time window when you could dine was far too narrow. As a result, the dining area was always densely packed. We think the property would benefit from a larger dining area or broader dining times. ||The fact that guests were asked to keep the same table for the whole length of their stay was inappropriate, in our opinion, and more in keeping with lower quality accommodations. Having said that, the personnel was helpful and accommodated our desire to change tables every night.

We’ve stayed here six times over the years. It’s a very pleasant experience after the first day you feel better and by the fourth day you really feel relaxed. Some people drive around the area, but we stayed right where we were. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s worth the cost. They give you a bathrobe and you can wear it to breakfast or lunch if you want. For dinner you get the same table every night and if you don’t finish your wine, it’s there for you on the next night. Good wine is not expensive and the waiters Will make your wife feel beautiful without making you jealous. Maybe the most important thing is the therapeutic pool which is gigantic and has water from way underground somewhere that takes 20 years to reach the surface so it has all sorts of minerals. I think the managers are either German or Swiss but the staff is Italian so you get that special Italian treatment. The rooms are really nice and some of them allow you to just walk out to the pool it really is a nice place. I recommend you rent a car because driving there is also a pleasure. The scenery is amazing.

4 days of complete relaxation with great food. The thermal waters are so good & with osteoarthritis provide a good deal of pain relief. ||||The buffets are of the finest. ||||The treatments provided are first class with excellent therapists. Just Magical!

The setting is stunning, but unfortunately, the spa doesn't live up to its price tag. It's quite expensive for what is essentially just an average experience. The outdoor pool had noticeable damage, and the changing rooms and showers offered only a single all-in-one soap, as informed by the staff. Additionally, we had scheduled a facial treatment but faced issues accessing the room. While our trip to Tuscany was overall fantastic, this particular activity fell short of our expectations and felt like it wasn't worth the visit.

The property is nice but disappointing. Family members raved about their experience when the spa first open but that was 20 years ago. Thermal pool the highlight. Spa services fine. My biggest complaint is the food and the unwelcoming reception. Food is mediocre at best. Dinner selections served luke warm and not very good, some almost inedible. Gym classes offering are light but ok. Won't be back in a hurry.

From the moment we arrive at Adler Tuscany, we step into a world of peacefulness and luxury - our home from home. It is organised with such perfect attention to detail by Anton (the GM) - delivered by consistently brilliant staff, with a fabulous culture that is evident from every staff member - a sense of ownership from all, beautiful rooms, wonderful food and wine, a brilliant sauna suite and a comprehensive treatment set. The resort is nestled amid the magical landscape of Val D'Orcia in Tuscany. We are regular visitors to this resort (a family at the start but now just us as a couple). It is like an invisible magnet that just keeps pulling us back. The atmosphere elevates the stay to something extraordinary, Every moment is a perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. The amazing thing is that we keep meeting up at each visit with other people from different parts of the world - old friends that that we have met and made over the years. What else can we say - if you keep coming back for more - it must be really good and IT IS - actually not just good BUT EXCELLENT.

15 years since we first visited Adler in Tuscany. Since then we visited Adler Dolomiti 9 times. Unfortunately the Tuscany hotel is not on the same level as the sister hotel in Ortisei.|Its a beautiful property, garden & outdoor pool area. But the Adler feeling that makes us return year after year to Val Gardena is lacking in Tuscany. On the positive side was the breakfast with good selection & service. Also lunch offer at the Osteria was good. 21 euro for a 3 cource lunch including buffet & water is a steal. Good ingredients was used, but it lacked a bit of flavours.|Small gym was ok. Room was of ok sice, but family room in Ortisei better with 2 complete bathrooms.|The worst with this hotel is the complete lack of respect for their customers and staff. By that i mean the non existing aircondition all over the resort. I spoke to several staff that agreed it was unbearable. Room was a sauna, the only reason we didnt move out after 1 day was that they brought us a manuel fan. The air in the gym was a nightmare. I was sitting working 1 hour in the bar, had to go back to the room and take a shower and change clothes due to the heat inside. Also at dinner the temperature was crayzy hot. How can you run a luxury 5 star resort and totally ignore this??|Other negative sides; its no service by the large outdoor pool area. You need to walk into the Osteria for drinks. The level of the dinner is not where it should be at this price range. Also very negative that they charge extra if you want a tartare or steak, when you already pay very much for the dinner. Its a 4-5 cource dinner with small portions, so a 100 grams filet should be part of the menu. Here the Dolomiti hotel is way much better. We will keep coming to Ortisei every winter, but our chapter in Tuscany is closed after this visit.
