25 Essential Tacos in and Around Denver

"Combining Filipino and New Mexican influences with panache, this West Highland newcomer does an equally bang-up job of mixing sweet, spicy, and salty ingredients, be it the succulent chicken spicy pinoy taco topped with green chile, pineapple, and scallion or the smoked carnitas version with lime-fig jam, chicharrones, and cilantro." - Eater Staff, Ruth Tobias

Amazing delicious food! You can tell they really put a lot of thought, care, and love into this menu. The menu items are very creative and everything is served fresh. Service is quick and friendly! Came here for the first time tonight and was so impressed. I highly recommend. Filipino food is very special to me as the grandchild of a Filipino immigrant.

Google
Housed in an old building right by the Federal and Spear, a bit more to access from south federal. The tacos are better as pointed out by most review. The green chili smothered Taco is best. The pork belly plates was a disappointment, way too dried - either overcooked or leftover. The chicken in the adobo chicken rice bowl also drier and harder to eat. The chicken in the chicken adobo taco was good thou.

Google
Great food, great service! Everything was full of flavor and expertly prepared. We ordered the Sampler, sopapillas, 2 entrees and the flan! Andy was fantastic—personable, attentive, and gave great recommendations. We’ll definitely be back!

Being married to the most beautiful Filipina, I have come accustom to eating rice with every meal, so when I don't eat it, I crave it!!! Which leads me to my review.... I have been on the road for too many days only able to take 15 minute breaks and choke down a quick bite of non-sustenance food. This weekend I was able to finish a project early and I was bound and determine to get my rice and Filipino food. I was driving around and saw ADOBO and my heart skipped a beat. I immediately pulled in and went inside. Upon entering I am welcomed with the warmest welcome and seated right away. The staff was very knowledgeable and let me know the history of the restaurant and what he recommended. I ordered the lumpia appetizer (because I'm a sucker for lumpia). The lumpia and garlic rice were freaking awesome and nearly made me cry with joy!! Then came the lumpia bowl (I told you I was a sucker for lumpia) and let me tell you this, it was out of this world!!! I highly recommend this place and if anyone gives less than 5 stars on Google, you need to have your head checked. Keep up the great work and I hope to stop back by if I'm in town again!!

Google
Adobo delivers on the food!! Very delicious and highly recommended! We tried the sampler appetizers plate with lumpia, carnitas deviled eggs and green chili wontons. YUM! For dinner we had the spicy chicken pinoy rice bowl and pork green chili plate. Delicious! If you are experienced with New Mexico chili or fillipino cuisine, this place is a must! We loved it so much we went back 3 days later for Taco Tuesday! Smoked carnitas and Baja beef tacos were our favorite. They also have hot cholula butter wings. Amazing!! I will definitely be a frequent flyer to this wonderful place!

Google
My wife and I are from New Mexico and were elated to find a New Mexico/Filipino fusion truck. Blaine and his team catered our wedding in 2018 and people are still talking about the food to this day. The service was top notch from cocktail hour through the dinner. We even had an issue getting flatware to the venue and Blaine personally handled it for us. His team ensured that the food was delivered on time and everyone was fed. We were so lucky to have him. Now we frequent his restaurant and it’s only gotten better. HIGHLY recommend.

Google
I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately there were just so many things wrong with our experience here. First off, it took about 15 minutes to get service, then another 20 to get our beers and cocktails. The beer on draft was warm and flat, how do you mess up a draft beer? The cocktails on the contrary were actually the best thing tonight. My pork trio plate was dismal at best. The Lechon was nuke dry, it was like eating thrice microwaved pork belly, it was rock hard and nearly inedible. The chicharons were of poor quality, like something you would eat from a bag of chips at the gas station. The smoked pork belly, was the one saving grace, they were actually very delicious and juicy. That said, the entire dish leaves a lot to be desired. The lumpia appetizer was also dry and honestly just not great, mid at best. Table behind us got sat well after us yet got their food way before us. Then they brought a single entree to our table of 5, so we watched her eat for about 10 minutes. Overall there were a couple bright spots in the evening. But the overall theme was poor service, rampant disorganization, and dry food that they hoped they could hide behind dipping sauces. I cannot recommend this establishment.

I can not wait to come back! Incredible and unique menu. The chicken spicy pinoy tacos were amazing. Good drinks too. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Yelp
Adobo Restaurant & Bar deserves way more hype. It's a New Mexican and Asian-inspired spot that's absolutely killing it, and yes, it's been featured on Netflix for a reason. I came here a couple months ago and have been kicking myself for not talking about it sooner. The food? Incredible. The flavors? On point. The vibe? Chill and welcoming. Here's what we ordered: * Adobo Nachos - crispy, cheesy, with hatch green chile and cholula butter * Brisket Barbacoa Quesadilla - rich, melty, perfection * Sampler - our version had lumpia, wontons, and deviled eggs * Chicken Adobo Birria Taco - yes, with consomé * Carne Asada Taco - classic and solid * Pork Belly Stack - juicy pork belly over jasmine rice with a fried egg and sweet chile sauce (this was the standout for me) * Sopapilla with honey butter * House-made flan * Churros con dulce de leche The pork belly stack was the dish I couldn't stop eating -- seriously, I scraped the plate like it was my last meal. The lumpia was also amazing, and don't even get me started on the desserts. That flan? A total home run. And the sopapillas + churros? Dreamy. If you haven't checked out their restaurant or food truck yet, this is your sign. Go. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Specifically came here to try the Filipino side of the menu, and the food was not bad. The portion size was nice and the meat was moist, but it really wasn't as punchy with the flavor as I anticipated it would be. I'd be curious to try the New Mexican side of the menu to compare, but I'm a bit disappointed with the Filipino side. Even the ube cocktail was just meh. Our server was new but was really nice and helpful even though we had a bunch of allergy related questions. Inside felt a little dark, but we were by the window which helped a lot. I'd say it is worth a try, but don't expect it to be a more than once a year visit.

Yelp
What a great find! My friend and I had just finished snowboarding and needed some comfort food. This is literally tucked in a tiny plaza at the corner of Speer and Federal. We were the first there, but the waiter was very friendly and informative. He brought us out a small sampler of their pork belly with queso. It was so good that it sold us both on the Pork Belly bowl!! We also ordered the sampler appetizer which was great, because it was both our first time there. We got to sample the lumpia, the fried chicken, and fries. It's an interesting combo of Mexican and Filipino cuisine, but a great combo. The ambiance was quiet since we were the first there, but it seems like they have a full bar and ample seating. Parking is in the back/side, not a lot but enough. I think there's a street in the back where you can park as well. Would come back if I'm in the area!

Yelp
We came here after a friend recommended us this place. We came on a Friday afternoon and the place was well tucked away on the side of the road. We got some tacos and the crispy pork, and some drinks. We definitely will come back to ease our Mexican/Filipino food cravings. The place has great vibes, perfect for friends to come and hangout with good food. The service was great, our server was enthusiastic and incredibly helpful since this was our first time here.

Yelp
We went here for taco Tuesday (there's a deal!) and it was really good! The queso was perfect and tacos were so good, although a little messy. The pork bel taco is a must! Our service was not good. We were informed when we came in the kitchen was busy due to taco Tuesday, however the restaurant was relatively empty. After waiting to be seated, we did not have a server come over for 10-15 minutes, not even to bring water. The rest of the service continued like this - it took a long time for someone to come to the table for us to order apps, and then again for the tacos, and again for the check. I understand when a restaurant is busy and the staff is overwhelmed, but this didn't seem to be the case. They could have done a better job acknowledging if it was.

Yelp
I've had Adobo on my "places to try" list for months, but I'm rarely in that part of town. Well, the opportunity arose this weekend to try them out and I am SO happy about it! Legitimately, this is one of my top ten favorite restaurants in the Denver area right now. Maybe even in the top five. The concept is Mexican-Filipino fusion. You can tell the chef cooks with a true love of the food of both cultures and the intermingling of the two flavor profiles works like a charm. As you'll see from my photos, we ordered a lot of different items. We will often do this at a new (to us) restaurant to get a wider sense of what they have to offer, but we went especially overboard at Adobo because everything on the menu looked so friggin' good! Nothing we ordered disappointed. In fact, we ordered more food to go. The prices are VERY reasonable for the quality and portions. Absolutely no complaints. I also love the vibe of the place. They've cleaned up a dive bar, so there's still a stage and pool table in the back that make it feel like a chill hang out spot. At the same time, the color scheme, lighting, and plants make it feel a bit less divey. The sugar skull mural on the front entrance is beautiful as well. Also, THERE IS PARKING! I'm shocked this place isn't constantly packed. Even though we live in Aurora, we will definitely become frequent visitors to Adobo.

Yelp
This place is not at all what it seems. It is gem of a restaurant at the corner of 36th and Feds. This restaurant touts a Philippines/Mexican fusion cuisine and it was fantastic. The inside is definitely decorated for a home style feel. We were started with a small, holiday only sample of Grandma's chicken adobo soup. This was delicious and tasty and I would order it all the time if it was on their menu. We also selected the elote and lumpia to start. Both were very good. For an entree, my friend and I decided to split two items since we could not decide- the Grandma's adobo chicken over rice and the Mac and cheese with pork belly. The chicken dish was good-but not as flavorful as the starter sample. The Mac and cheese was also good, but I preferred the dish without the pork belly. The Mac and cheese was delicious on its own. That server was hilarious and fun to be around. I'm glad I got to try this place out and would definitely go again to try more off their menu. The tacos looked amazing as well.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Adobo for a while after it made Westword's Top 100 List in 2023 and was on Netflix's "Fresh, Fried & Crispy" Season 1, Episode 6. A fusion of New Mexico and Filipino cuisine, there are lots of creative dishes to choose from. After taking our drink order, our server brought us an amuse bouche- a delicious sample of the adobo broth used to season the adobo chicken. It was flavorful and convinced 4 out of 5 of us to order a dish with the adobo chicken. We ordered the lumpia and elote as our starters. The lumpia was fried perfectly and was flaky and crisp. A must order for any visit. I split the chicken adobo dish and the pork belly mac with a friend - one item From My Lola's side, the other from New Mexican at Heart. The chicken was tender. I wish there was more of the adobo sauce served on the side because the jasmine rice soaked it up and it was too good to not be able to keep tasting. The pork belly mac was cheesy with fresh green chile. Some pieces of the pork belly could have been cooked a little more crispier but it was still a good dish. The space is large with lots of seating and a bar area. The restaurant wasn't very full for a Friday night. Adobo used to run as a food truck. Hopefully their following continues to support a brick and mortar business.

Yelp
Top 5 juiciest chicken in Denver!! Every bite of the Spicy Pinot taco was perfection. I almost ordered 10 more tacos to go! The papi Chile taco was also exquisitely crispy and is the ideal veggie taco. The fried rice was very pineapple forward and I loved the cotija cheese on top, it was a very sweet savory dish. I need Grandma's recipe for her chicken adobo, no notes. Fried egg was a wonderful and welcomed addition. The ambiance of this place is a bit confusing, felt more like a sports bar. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. I will be returning for taco Tuesday!

Abby M.

Yelp
Food truck was at Zuni tonight and I cannot believe the way that we were treated. He was extremely aggressive with us about how much we tipped, and said he was going to make our portion size small because of it. Then he dared us to go to the restaurant and tip like that. We weren't being served, so 20% is not standard at a food truck. Then, we never got our food and waited almost 45 minutes for it before we noticed him closing up the truck completely and turned the truck on about to drive away. We ran up to the truck and had to stop him and ask if he was gonna give us our food and said "yeah, I guess I'll give you your food." It was freezing cold when we got it so I think his intention was to drive away until we stopped him. Also, he claimed he is the owner (which I hope wasn't true based on his behavior).

Yelp
Adobo was introduced to me through an episode on Netflix on street food. The show featured Adobo's food truck and since I was headed to Denver for the weekend, I decided to come check them out! When I arrived, I did not find the food truck but found a brick & mortar location instead. I asked about the food truck but apparently it was out at an event. So we got seated by a booth near the front of the restaurant. The server managed the floor as well as the bar and was really friendly. After multiple attempts to swat flies out of the way while checking out the menu (the flies were attracted to the plants surrounding the booth), we requested to move to the high chairs/tables in front of the bar. It was much better! The food at Adobo is a mixture of Mexican with Filipino influences. We started off with the lumpia egg rolls which I was really looking forward to. They are not your typical lumpia. These are long/skinny and when you bite into it, the meat is a tubular shape and falls/hangs out. The meat tasted a bit funny, it was my least favorite dish. The Pancit Noodles was very thin rice noodles. I think my friend was expecting a bit thicker but had good flavors. I would say the rest of the dishes was pretty good including the Loco Loco, Veggie fried rice and my favorite, the Grandma's Chicken Adobo. If you're into asian fusion food, this is a good spot to stop at.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and had outstanding service and amazing food! The lumpia and margaritas were especially delightful!

Yelp
I really loved the flavors here at Adobo! Go on a Tuesday for reduced prices on tacos and more taco flavors! They have some gluten free labels that I really appreciated- I just wish they would extend the markets to the appetizers and tacos as well so you don't have to ask. The fries and chips are gluten free, but do have a shared fryer. From what I can tell all the tacos are gluten free. Starting with the drinks I loved the N.A. pink drink, it was so refreshing and not too sweet. It is guava juice and carbonated water. They have some of the best vegetarian green chili fries with queso that I have had. The leftovers were even delicious! These are a must for an appetizer. For a group I would absolutely get the sampler to try all the goods! The pancit was a little oily and dry but I did enjoy the cabbage and flavors of the noodles. The papi chili taco was immaculate and In the future I would reorder. I would love to see them offer homemade hot sauces or salsas for the tacos. Overall this is a unique and flavorful experience, and a must try in Denver for vegetarians and meat lovers. I love that they smoke all their meats and smoke potatoes and cabbage for vegetarians too!

Yelp
It's a simple no frills environment, which for me makes it comfortable to have a meal that tastes like home cooking. We were welcomed as if we were walking into a friend of a friends house (it was our first time here) - acknowledged as soon as we walked in. They were two people that were working the front of the bar/restaurant were very attentive. Menus were brought and drink orders were taken within less than a minute of us sitting down. Thanks to Yelp/Yelp users, I was able to take a look at the menu and photos of food. I knew that I wanted Filipino food and the pictures helped me and my brother to decide what we were going to order. We started with lumpia, that were slightly different than my family's but they were equally delicious! My brother had a pork belly taco- crispy tender pork belly! I ordered Grandma's chicken adobo and asked for an extra egg to be added (yes, I added an egg, per my Yelp profile, egg is my favorite food). It was absolutely wonderfully hot (temperature) and flavorful. It comforted me and made me think of great family memories. This dish, as described in the menu, Chicken Thigh (boneless!) simmered in Tamari, Vinegar, Garlic, Ginger & Onions. Served over Jasmine Rice with Fried Egg, Green Onions, Sesame - GF. My brother order the Filipino breakfast which per the menu consisted of - Two Fried Eggs, Garlic Fried Rice (A Delicious Filipino Favorite), Longanisa Sausage (A Filipino Sausage - sweet and savory) and Fresh Tomato. It looked soooooooo good!!! While we waited the chef gave us two tasting spoons with brisket barbacoa - as a complimentary starter. It was delicious and a great preview of what you would get on taco Tuesday. For dessert we had Ube ice cream and flan! So good!!!! A nice way to finish a delicious meal! I was so impressed and intrigued by this unassuming establishment that touted their award winning business. I read the owner's story later that evening on their website https://adobodenver.com/about Please take the time to try it. We drove about an hour and I was not disappointed. An amazing story - Amazing Food. I want to return to Colorado for a few reasons and this is one of them. Please support the restaurant or their food truck!!

Yelp
We ended up finding this place totally by chance after the restaurant we'd planned on going to had a 45-minute wait, I was way too hungry for that. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and told to pick any seat we liked. Staff was super friendly and really made our experience that much better. We kicked things off with the pork belly bites, which came out super fast and were unbelievably tender, coated in an delicious sauce. Then we got a surprise sample of the Lechon--Filipino-style roasted pork belly--and holy smokes, it was incredible. They served it with three dipping sauces: a Jalapeño Vinegar (pretty sure that's what it was), Mango Habanero, and a Sweet and Spicy one. I couldn't stop dunking my bites in that Jalapeño Vinegar. So good, so crunchy, so tasty. For my main course, I went with the smothered burrito "Christmas style" (both red and green chile) with asada. Honestly, it's one of the best burritos I've had in recent memory--the red sauce was amazing, the green chile was packed with flavor, and the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend got the Spicy Pinoy Bowl, and she loved it just as much, especially the perfectly cooked egg and delicious chicken. We also tried the Mule with Calamansi, which was crazy good--really refreshing and flavorful. The inside of the restaurant felt cozy and was nicely decorated, though it was a bit chilly inside (but that's bound to happen when it's like 15 degrees outside). All in all, we had an awesome experience. It just goes to show that Bob Ross was right about happy little accidents. We'll definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Had the chance to finally check out the restaurant location of Adobo after trying the food truck a couple of times at some local breweries. We got the lumpia egg rolls, a complimentary soup spoon with green chile, fried sweet potato and cotija, the adobo, lechon kawali plate, mango marg and calamansi mule. The flan was to die for, legitimately one of the best I've ever had. Everything was stellar. Growing up in a Filipino household many of these dishes were a staple and served monthly if not weekly. Adobo has hit the nail on the head with just enough small tweaks from original recipes to create beautiful fusion dishes that still remind me of home. Keep killing it y'all, I'll be back p.s. you're gonna wanna check out their Taco Tuesday specials

Jim M.

Yelp
Adobo always serves very delicious food and drinks with super friendly service. Be sure to try their pork belly dishes, tacos, and limeade drinks.

Yelp
Not easy to spot on Federal but worth the trip. I've been two weekends in a row now and aiming for a third. The first time the owner gave us a great orientation and a history of the restaurant. The second time we had an equally lovely attentive waiter. Everything I have had has been 5 stars. Cholula butter chicken wings. You can order by the wing. Juicy, plump, and perfectly crispy. They don't skimp on sauce and some of the best I've had anywhere. Also, wing Wednesday is .75 a wing. Lumpia. Great presentation and flavor. Green Chile fries. These are Master level fries. The green Chile is flavorful And they have somehow figured out the secret formula to drowning the fries in Chile without losing their crispy texture. No soggy fries there. Adobo nachos. Some of the best nachos I've had. House made chips, dresses well so that every nacho gets attention My son had the burrito and said it was really good. Note that it is huge not just in thickness but in length as well (That's what she said) My husband had the carnitas green Chile plate with fried potatoes, a fried egg, beans and tortilla. I tried it and agreed with him that it was pretty damn solid. The lot may be a little bit tricky to get into but please give this well deserving place a chance to earn your business. The service and ambiance are great and the food is top notch!!

Maddie S.

Yelp
Great tacos! We tried the encarnacion (pork belly), Baja fish, brisket birria, smoked carnitas, and chicken birria The pork belly and smoked carnitas tacos were the standouts.

Yelp
Have you ever wondered what chefs were before they became chefs? I recently had the opportunity to chat with Chef Baggao and learn about his incredible journey before Adobo which opened in March of 2022. A former finance guy, his life took a turn after a motorcycle accident left him with a brain injury. The road to recovery was tough, but he eventually found his passion for cooking and has since opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant after starting out with a food truck. His focus now is his business and being a father to his daughter Olivia. He incorporates his grandma's recipes into his menu, adding his own unique twist. From classic Pansit to flavorful Lumpia, and an amazing Pork Belly plate, Adobo has it all. His New Mexico influences are also evident, with Taco Tuesday and festive decor. And don't miss out on their delicious Ube Colada and Calamansi Mule cocktails made by their Award-Winning Bartender of the year Dylan. And did you know they were featured on Netflix's Fresh, Fried, and Crispy? Check out the Denver episode! If you haven't been - go now!
google avatar

R T.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I was here in Oct, visiting from out of town. Along with my sis and nephew, we had to get to this place as we heard the lumpia was the best (spoiler alert: it is!). Everything was great, but I would have to say the standouts were: Ube Colada cocktail (who dreamed up this treasure?), the sampler appetizer (you get lumpia with this!) and the pork belly (aka "lechon") entree. We loved the contemporary blend of Filipino and New Mexican flavors. No doubt we will be back again!

McCall J.

Yelp
Best Loco Moco in Denver! The foodand atmosphere were incredible and the weekly deals are hard to beat!
google avatar

Jodie M.

Yelp
As a transplant from the Philippines, I'm so glad that there's a restaurant in Denver that serves Filipino Mexican food! There's not a whole lot in Denver that does so definitely add Adobo to your list if you want to sample Filipino cuisine. I recommend ordering the lumpia (a staple in the Philippines)-- it's fried spring rolls! I love the generous serving of the pork in the lumpia :) Another sure hit, which I can vouch and will come back for is the Chicken Adobo Rice Bowl!! Makes me miss the adobo served back home! The tacos didn't wow me that much - I tried the OG carnitas and pork belly. Maybe try other tacos and the burritos? The server did say the papi chile tacos is one of their best sellers. I will have to come back for that and order another chicken adobo rice bowl.

Todd F.

Yelp
Great gem in a city filled with options. The menu offers a unique blend of fusion dishes that will satisfy your curiosity and your appetite. Must try the deviled eggs and the Rice Bowls are delicious. The service is excellent and you'll feel like you're right at home.

Yelp
Best service I have had in a long time. Food was amazing. Enjoyed the Colorado, New Mexico and Philippine influence.

Jose N.

Yelp
I have gone twice and both times they had a "skeleton" crew and instead of seating us and at least have water the woman just says thank you for waiting without giving us a chance to say anything. Will not try a third time.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Our waitress was such a good sport. She was literally the only front of house staff on a Thursday night. Obviously service was slow but we gave her some grace. The food was flavorless, the margaritas were small and also lacked any sort of flavor. The chips were very stale/hard and the queso was watery and tasteless. On my way out I stopped by the bathroom which smelled like raw sewage
google avatar

Shelby R.

Yelp
It was just ok. Went in this afternoon, not busy at all. Service was ok. Seems like they had one person working front and bar and another working kitchen. Best thing was the crispy wings-but the sauces/flavors seemed like they are just bottled. We got the green chile and pork belly tacos. Good smoke flavor but bland. A fair amount of meat on each taco but the flavors just didn't work for me. It was just ok.

Kaitlynn W.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in Denver, food truck is somehow even better. Wings, green chili cheese fries, carnitas tacos, and chicken bowl are top choices of ours.
google avatar

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
We got takeout from here for the first time and it was amazing. The queso was so good and there was a good amount included. Everything was really good flavors and this might be my new favorite spot. The churros did not disappoint. The staff here is so nice and will definitely come back.
google avatar

Cherilynn C.

Yelp
As a filipino transplant, I am so thankful to have found Adobo. They are a fusion of flavors that you will not be disappointed with. Their award winning carnitias tacos are award winning for a reason. Hard to find carnitas that are not dry. The pork is flavorful with a lime fig jam that compliments them perfectly. I am not a fan of sweet and you would think that the jam would make it too sweet but it pairs perfectly. The green chili has a unique smokey flavor and a spiciness that can easily knock you on your ass but not too spicy that you can't taste the flavors. I also had their adobo bowl which is a fusion of the original classic filipino dish. The fusion does not veer far off to the original native flavors and is still a comforting to a filipino transplant that often misses dishes of home. Must try is all I have to say!
google avatar

Kristine R.

Yelp
Despite being severely short staffed, our waiter gave us good vibes. Thank you! The moco loco dish was very salty and seasoned with straight soy sauce. My boys were happy with their traditional Filipino breakfast dishes! Thank you!

Sarah R.

Yelp
I ordered the smothered burrito. It was huge and delicious! The owner is a sweet guy that has mixed his Filipino heritage with his New Mexico upbringing, so bring on the green chili! Support small business owner's
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
This place is interesting and I actually really enjoy the BOGO deal on Thursdays. Albeit I'm confused as to what the actual burger and bowl bogo is as a burger isn't even on the menu and the multiple rice bowls apparently depending on when and who you ask only one bowl is included? Really wish they could clarify the menu items. I regret ordering the fries and how off menu items are difficult to understand pricing

Mackenzie W.

Yelp
Amazing tacos and even better service! Andy was so helpful, friendly, and personable. Will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
Food is phenomenal, buuuuuut I've been here several times and every time, like clock work, it takes 45+ exorbitant minutes to get the (wrong) order. It's a delicious wrong order, but the service is seriously the slowest. Bangin' food, but the service is a Lèse-majesté.

Yelp
I've known about the Adobo food truck for quite awhile so I got excited when the brick and mortar opened about 10 minutes from my house! My husband and I split an order of Lumpia (suggested by our waitress), 6 for $6 wings (Wednesday's is wings night), chips and queso, and their taco mixed plate. The standout for me was the taco mixed plate... the Chicken Adobo was marinated perfectly, the Smoked Carnitas was delicious though a bit on the greasy side, and the pork belly was cooked to perfection. My only other complaint is I feel like they need either bigger tortillas or they need to double up on their current sized ones because the single tortilla couldn't stand up to the generous portions they put in their tacos.

Yelp
Literally amazing. My husband and I wanted to try some local Filipino food, and while we thought it would be good, it BLEW US AWAY! Their house made hot sauce was bright and spicy but not too hot, and the chicken adobo taco with the pineapple was fresh and the flavors complimented each other perfectly. The wing breading was thin and crispy, and I'm not exaggerating when I say these were the best wings I've ever had. Our waitress was kind, and had great recommendations for us. The 70s and 80s music made the energy of the restaurant come together so nicely, and there was even a pool table. We would definitely come here again, and we hope to do so in the near future.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a couple of years. I was excited to see Chicken Adobo on the menu, a dish that takes me back to my Filipino grandfather in the kitchen preparing this for us. The thought of it made my mouth water. It stopped watering once I ate it. It was flavorless. Quite disappointing. The lumpia was very good, fried to perfection. The Pancit was not traditional, but it was good. Complex flavors, noodles were cooked just right. Had the Smoked Carnitas taco. Sometimes you just need to forego the tortillas and just eat the taco filling, and this was one of those times. Crunchy, soft, a little spice, a little sweet, it was fantastic. I want to give a higher rating, but that Adobo will not allow me to do so. Service was very good.

Yelp
Incredible food with very unique flavors. I've been a few times and always enjoyed everything. Tonight, I went on Taco Tuesday and not only was every taco was its own incredible dish, the pricing was fantastic. I can't believe how affordable it was. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
1. Lumpia were good 2. chiccarones look like the store bought kind, nothing special. 3. wings - dry 4. adobo rice bowl - now I have never had the Filipino version and the whole reason why I went here was for this - to me, it was a disappointment. The rice was very gingery and sour. Service was good. He was the only one working the bar and waiting tables but he was fast and efficient. Ambiance - although the exterior was very catchy but the inside does need a deep clean. The restaurant looks filthy as Cobb Webb were forming on and around the windows. Table we sat at was sticky. Silverwares and metal plates all have water spots. I can tolerate the mediocre foods, but the Cobb webs + dirty silverware and plates were surely gross to look at while eating my meal. Undoubtedly, this may have also contributed to making the mediocre foods even less enjoyable. 2 stars for foods and ambiance but plus 1 star for the service.

Yelp
I have passed by this place on countless occasions, thinking "gotta give them a try." Fast forward about a year, and finally making the realization that it's the same brick and mortar as the food truck I've ordered from several times already around Denver (Yeah, I'm not always quick on the uptake). Went in one weekend afternoon recently and had simply awesome food. My street tacos were ginormous and the vegetarian fare my friend ordered was delicious. Nick was our server that day, and was not just a great server, he was a tremendous ambassador for Adobo. This dude deserves a raise! Seriously: if you haven't, give 'em a try. I'll bet you're glad you did!!

Yelp
I ordered our food on our way home from the Dr.s last night and I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was ordering. I'm born and raised Colorado, I have grown up on Mexican food both my mom's homemade tortillas and enchiladas to the various Mexican restaurants in and around Denver over the years. The girl who took my order was pleasant and friendly. My boyfriend ordered a ground beef smothered burrito for dinner but it came with steak instead. Steak that tasted like it had been under the heat lamp for far too long and the mixture of flavors was terrible. I tried a bite. He could only eat 3 bites and had to push it away. Which I am happy he did because later on he had the worst stomach ache until he finally went to bed! Was literally sick to his stomach. I ordered a relleno divorciados. I don't know what was under all those beans but to me it tasted like the bottom of a pan mix of burnt meat and burnt black beans. I had this taste left on my tongue that I needed to brush my teeth in order to get rid of. The saving grace was the street tacos they had on Tuesdays as a special. Those tasted amazing! However, the dessert sopapillas were like boards they were so hard and untasting instead of light and fluffy. I was so disappointed. It wasn't a cheap dinner and the fact that we ate only the street tacos and everything else went in the trash made me feel even worse than the food did . Literally threw 50 dollars away. Just thought I should warn others.

Yelp
The hubs and I wanted to give this a try and the pieces fell into place this last weekend. We had tix to an event so got this to go. Both of us went with the classic chicken adobo rice bowl. Both of us were really impressed with the flavors and neither of us could finish our respective bowls because the portion was hearty. Customer service was great and our to go had our name and a little heart next ti it which I thought was a really sweet touch.

Yelp
I went in to treat myself for mother's day, looking forward to not cooking and longing for a traditional filipino meal. I was so disappointed that I wished O had stayed home and prepared these dishes myself. I realize I was hoping for a specific brand of soul food that cannot be achieved with what seemed to be no filipinos in the kitchen. The rice was undercooked. Epic fail, so sorry:( The adobo was neither tender nor dry, kinda so-so in texture, same as the flavor. If it had been marinated, I could not tell. The cocktail menu looked fantastic. But I'm not drinking alcohol at the moment, so I got the pink drink with guava and passionfruit. This would have been lovely, if only the mason jar it was served in wasn't packed to the max with ice cubes. I thought the atmosphere would be fun for an open mic or small performance. There is a pool table. I guess if I were drinking alcohol, I would check it out for that. Big disappointment:(!!

Yelp
Incredibly delicious and unique cuising. Latin-Asian fusion with New Mexican flare. Make sure to get the Super Sampler to try some of their best apps. Taco tuesday deals are insane, too. $2 4-7pm every tuesday! The happy hour is also great and goes Tues-Fri 4-7pm. $1 off every single item on the menu. Do not sleep on this place. I crave their carnitas every week!

Yelp
I wish I took a picture because this was the BIGGEST burrito I've ever seen! Loved the taste of the green chili and had to make sure to breathe between breaths. They had a great deal on Sunday too for $1 wings, so had a few of them as well. Don't forget the green chili fries either! The place was large and was shocked to find it completely empty. Service was good too!
