Adriana Hotel | Best places to stay in the Dalmatian Islands

"Overlooking the wooden fishing boats in Hvar’s pretty harbour, just a two-minute walk from the main square, the Adriana is funky and fun. Appealing to the young and young-at-heart, its light and airy minimalist interiors open onto sea-view terraces. The ground-floor Val Marina restaurant serves a generous buffet breakfast, followed by brunch, then grilled fish or steaks at dinner. Up top, the Sensori Spa has a covered 25m saltwater swimming pool, and does sauna and beauty treatments, and massages in open-air cabanas. Also on the roof, The Top is a small cocktail bar serving drinks and light summery lunches. " - Jane Foster

A beautiful hotel with views from both the restaurant terrace and top bar that take your breath away. Our lovely, clean room wasn't massive but big enough, with a view of the fortress and partial view of the harbour, so it was lovely and quiet. The breakfasts were very good as were our evening meals (we ate there all three nights). Seafood sharing platter was so good we had it twice. The concierge collects your bags from the ferry on arrival, and then puts them in the queue for the ferry when leaving whilst you sit and wait, which is just perfect.

What an amazing location! What an amazing experience! What amazing food!|We can’t say enough about the Adrianna hotel. We had a room on the top floor. The view was spectacular. The room was well-appointed and the shower was incredible. The staff was attentive and cordial. One perk that we appreciated was having our luggage brought to and from the ferry. This is one hotel you want to stay in.

We spent seven days at the Adriana, in a suite facing the harbor. It was magical! To be able to throw open our windows and listen to the sounds of the water, boats and people enjoying their vacation on Hvar was something special. We opted for a more luxurious suite (as it was our honeymoon) and it was money well spent! Some may think that it may not have been value for money but you only honeymoon once (hopefully :) ).|The hotel staff were faultless from the outset, picking up our luggage at the ferry to the front desk welcoming us with Prosecco at check-in. Although we arrived quite early, we only had to wait an hour for our room to be ready. To be able to enter our room before noon was a bonus indeed!|The hotel's facilities were impeccable. My wife took advantage of the spa and said it exceeded her expectations. She is still raving about the facial to received there! Even though the infinity pool was indoor it actually made for a more refreshing experience, after spending time out on the sun loungers. What seemed a little odd turned out to be just what was needed.|We only ate breakfast at the restaurant, so cannot speak to the lunch or dinner experience, but we enjoyed our breakfast buffet. I think that by the end of 7 days, we were ready to opt for something different to eat, but for a week it was perfectly fine.|All in all, the hotel was a great destination in and of itself, and a great base for exploring Hvar. A truly wonderful experience.

We loved it here and wish we had stayed longer! Lovely rooms, the ground floor terrace was a great touch considering we had no balcony. Breakfast was amazing with lots of options. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Service can be a bit slow if you arrive past 9:30am, before then is great. Dinner was tasty too. Location is perfect and views spectacular. The pool and sunbathing facilities are lovely. A wonderful place to unwind. The hot tub was empty when we went to visit and could really only fit one or two people in but this didn’t bother us. A drink on the rooftop bar is a great place to relax or socialise. We did this a few times before and after dinner. Service attentive. Massage prices are extreme which was a bit disappointing as an avid ‘spa goer’ but this isn’t a service you have to use. Highly recommend a stay at the Adriana if travelling to Hvar island!

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, so spacious & very clean. The ambience of the hotel itself is incredible - beautiful spaces to hang out. There is a rooftop bar with pool, restaurant & bar with an amazing view of the city. The waterfront area for breakfast each morning was such a treat. The spa that is included is fabulous. The staff is so kind and helpful and treat you like you are VIP. Ivan, Carla, Nina, & Nicola made our stay so much more enjoyable. Great location as well. We wished we had more than 3 days here!

Overall, a nice day. However, I did not like the bathroom layout and I ran into the glass shower door in the middle of the night…ouch. I also didn’t like how the blow dryer was fixed in a closet not within the bathroom. Gym was small and basic but totally fine. Indoor pool was nice even though we didn’t get a chance to use it. Great location. Breakfast was fine though they didn’t change it up very much and they seemed be short staffed. Dinner at the restaurant was very good. The staff were very kind.

Our stay at Adriana was incredible! Great location and fantastic service - they offer bag assistance to and from the ferry. Check-in was a pleasure, very smooth and were able to give us early access to room. Nikolaus & Antonio were so helpful & sweet, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress-free & that we were well taken care of. The included breakfast was delicious and the views from the room did not disappoint! Would stay here again and again.
