We were traveling from out of town and decided to stop at Adriana’s for lunch and I’m so happy we did! The staff is so friendly and treat you like you’ve known them for years. The food was of course delicious as well. My spouse got the Italian Beef and subbed the regular bread for garlic cheese bread (HIGHLY recommend doing this!). I got the Joe with a side of pasta salad. This a cute sandwich shop and we definitely recommend going for a delicious lunch!

I thought I’d order a light soup and salad today for a lower carb option. This is my third visit here. Far exceeded my expectations! Very flavorful food every time! Plus the staff are so sweet and very welcoming. Amazing experience each time!

Best place on the hill. What a great family run business. It’s our go to place for their specials and excellent salads, pasta and sandwiches. My go to is always Nana’s favorite but you can’t go wrong with any of it. Love this place!

I have heard many reviews about the meatball sandwich here. Three Lawyers raved about it, t.v. stations do stories on the place etc. So, thought I'd give it a try. Service was great. Especially the lady at the pickup window. But, food was a huge letdown. I got the famous meatball sandwich and a side of potato salad. Potato salad is delicious but way overpriced. Sandwich is fair priced but so average to below average in flavor. The sauce barely has any flavor. Same for meat patties, not meatballs. Which Im fine with that. I asked myself more than once, "THIS is the sandwich they all rave about?". My bottom line is that it was a flavorless sandwich. I tried half. Gave the other half away. Now on to somewhere else for some flavor.

Came in for lunch with my boyfriend. I was expecting a long wait with how long the line was but it moved very quickly. And the sweet woman at the order station made the wait worth it. And our food was ready very quickly after placing our order. This is easily the most delicious sandwich and salad I’ve ever had. I’m pretty sure I ordered the BLT.

WOW what a lucky find. As an Italian from Boston, I did not expect to find such a good sandwich shop in St.Louis. The menu was loaded with great options, I could hardly decide. I got the veggie sandwich and it was amazing, the garlic bread was my fave. The pasta sauce was sweet and flavorful. They dose their salad in oil & vinegar & spices which make it excellent. The staff was quick and super friendly. There was plenty of seating to accommodate the Saturday afternoon crowd. The cannoli was crispy and cute too. I only wish I was local so I could come back for more!

AFriend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint!! The food was amazing.Each one of us tried something different, the meatball sandwich, the sub sandwich. The mary, the soup and salad, the olive salad, the mediterranean pasta salad, prepared to perfection,, the cannolis and the ooie gooey butter cake was amazing if you're wanting something different instead of the traditional fast food, this is the place to go...The folks at Adriana's are awsome people, so friendly 😀 made us feel right at 🏡 home.. took home some dressing... can't wait to go again!!

Adriana's on the Hill is the real deal. This is a place that you will not leave hungry. Sandwiches portions are huge. Italians love feeding people and this shows. Every day there is a Special's Board which should not be missed. Just a heads up, the soups here are always broth based and delicious. My favorite order of all time here is the 1/2 Gorgonzola Beef Dip and the 1/2 Adriana's Salad. Other standouts for are The Mambo Siciliano, The Carlo, The Meatball, Caponata, and Olive Salad. I have been going there since I was a little kid and will continue to visit Adriana's for as long as I can see. You can't go wrong with eating on the hill. There are so many great choices, however, Adriana's is one of the best. The friendly staff will make your sandwich to order. It is definitely worth the visit.

My friend had not been to Adriana's before so we planned a lunch date for a random Friday and made it happen. When we arrived around 11:30, the line was not too long, but by the time we made it to order, it was filling up. Ordering is simple to do at the counter and then you can fill your cup with a drink and wait for them to call your number when the food is ready. We grabbed a seat at one of the last tables available inside and within a few minutes, our food was ready! We reached ordered a whole sandwich because the plan was to eat 1/2 for lunch and the rest for dinner. The bread is so fresh and good I love how they really do pile in the meats and veggies so that you know you are getting a filling sandwich. After eating, we asked one of the workers to grab us some to-go boxes and then we packed our leftovers and were on our way. The line at this point was out the door, so it's safe to say that this spot is truly one of a kind and everyone loves it as much as I do.

First time trying Adriana's but it had been on our list for a while. We went mid-afternoon on a Saturday and it was busy with most tables occupied and a steady stream of customers. Noise levels were moderate for the size of the crowd. Nonetheless, the line moved quickly. We got our order in and found a table. In short time, 10-15 minutes, my name was called so I grabbed our sandwiches. She got the Beef and Philly, I got the meatball sandwich. She's picky and had never tried cream cheese on her sandwich before but she really liked her sandwich and the bread. I got the meatball and it was very tasty also. I appreciated how they flattened the meatballs a bit to make the sandwich easier to eat. Good marinara and bread too. Staff were super friendly, patient and helpful. It was an overall great experience. We'll be back again soon.

Oh my! That's really good! These were the 1st words my husband said after biting into his Meatball Sandwich and my Adriana's Salad/Italian Salsiccia sandwich combo. And I agreed! Based on the crowded restaurant and more coming we picked the right place for lunch today. Friendly staff - fresh food. What's not to like?! Glad we managed to find a spot outside to enjoy our lunch and weather.

Fantastic Italian restaurant. Lunch was great Try the Gorgonzola Beef which is outstanding; the beef is tender and delicious with great bread and the au jous for dipping. I'm interested in try a red sauce item next visit.

The menu features a large selection of hot and cold sandwiches, all on that famous Hill bread, salads and there's even a couple of homemade soups each day. I got a Half and Half, which was more than enough food for lunch, and added a cup of soup. It was a potato herb soup which sounded interesting. The half meatball sub was so good and Adriana's salad was a great accompaniment but that soup was next level. Service was so friendly and helpful, just really kind people serving really good food.

Adriana's is a bright little sandwich shop on the hill and just like most of the hill restraunts is full of Italian goodness. I had Mary's beef sandwich and it was huge! They give you a lot of food so split one with your date. Maybe get the garlic bread too and just accept you might not be able to eat it all. Make a day of it by grabbing lunch here and then hit up the botanical garden.

I was visiting family from St. Louis and everyone said I had to try this place! I was warned it can get busy during peak times with no seating and a line out the door. I decided to go for lunch on a Tuesday and tried to beat the crowd. I decided to do carryout as it was already pretty crowded. There were about 8 people in front of me when I stepped in line. Everything is ordered at the front and you are given a number they call out when it's ready. Choosing what to get was hard- but I decided to get the Half & Half special to try two things. I did a sandwich and salad. The Mary's special (roast beef on garlic cheese bread) and Adriana's salad. The lady helping at the front was really prompt and nice! It didn't take me long to get back to enjoy my food and wow did it blow my expectations! The salad dressing was really flavorful and went well with all of the toppings. The sandwich- although simple- packed a ton of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. The garlic cheese bread complimented the roast beef well. I want to come back here and try more things! Overall experience 5/5.

Great little spot. We were visiting St. Louis for a couple of days and this came up as a popular sandwich shop. We each got their half-and-half meal and chose a soup and a sandwich. I did their Italian tuna which was unique and very good. Great menu overall. People in and out the whole time. Lots of regulars. The guy helping bus the tables was very good. So was the bread of course.

Great family owned deli serving great food and great service! The Italian bread is fresh and amazing and sandwiches are made like you expect! Loaded with meat and flavor. Not like the chains who skimp and charge ridiculous prices! Here you get a real hero and good prices!! Definitely a must hit!

I can't believe I just tried this Hill staple! The service is amazing. I told them it was my first time in, and they immediately told me 3 things to pick from- I love when service can give good recommendations! I went with the special that day, the meatball sub on garlic bread. Oh. My. Marinara. It was perfect. I actually think it was better than my Italian dad's (but I'll never tell him)! I didn't even get any sides, just a large sandwich so I could have it for lunch again the next day, and I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to come back and try more.

We had to wait in line for just less than 10 minutes, but it gave us a chance to look at all of the menu options and decide what we wanted. It was definitely worth the wait! Our food came out hot and fresh (there was always a line while we were there, which is always a good sign). House salads as a side were good-sized, with fresh, crisp lettuce and vegetables and homemade house vinaigrette. Lots of meats and our toppings on fresh bread - yum! It is no surprise that this is the highest-rated lunch on The Hill - and I agree 100%. I highly recommend and I will be back.

This is a true GOAT in St. Louis for superior Italian subs, pasta, salads and "Hill charm." I don't frequent this place as much as I should and I am reminded of that fact every time. Lunch time was busy on a Thursday with about 10 people in line. Took about 10 minutes to put my order in and another 10 or so to receive it. This is one of those places where you walk in and think you're not gonna get a seat, but by time you put your order in, there is always a table available! Order at the counter. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Here is what we were ordered: - Meatball sub with onions and peppers: 5/5 this was absolutely spot on what I was looking for! The meatballs were scrumptious, the sauce was nice and tangy, cheese was cheesy, and the peppers and onions were a nice touch. - Adriana' salad: 5/5 this is truly one of the better Italian salads that I've had in St. Louis. Excellent dressing, tasty toppings, and overall very fresh. - Pasta lunch special topped with salsiccia sausage, potato salad: (4/5) decent sausage, awesome suga style sauce, tasty potato salad. The place was packed with plenty of seating, albeit tight. Lots of tables outside with large umbrellas.

My all time favorite sandwich shop on The Hill. The Italian beef with gorganzola and au jus is my go to order. There is a reason the line is out the door most days.

How have I lived in St. Louis for 10 years and never eaten here?! Delicious! Line was out the door, definitely a popular spot on the Hill.

I lived in St Louis for 3 years, moved two states away in 2020, and I still think about the Teresa sandwich from Adriana's on a regular basis. Luckily I still do business in St Louis a few times a year, so I get my fix on occasion. Last time, Adriana's was legitimately my first stop when I got in town. The ladies working are always so incredibly sweet and helpful. The place feels like a cozy little sandwich shop. I adore the plaid tablecloths. My only complaint is the hours. They're only open for lunch and also closed on Mondays (which is usually when I come into town.) But that's okay. I'll leave work early, make special trips, scale mountains and rough terrain --if it means I get my precious Teresa. The gooey butter cookies are amazing too!

Service is so welcoming and amazing even though you order up at the counter. This is one of the places on The Hill that you have to go and experience. Food here is just so good and a STL classic. Nothing fancy inside but that is part of the whole process. The Italian salad and Hot Roast Beef is the best way to go here but don't take it from me, go and find your own way as there are multiple ways to please your tast buds here!!

Nice ambiance in a simple, cheerful environment. I wanted to try their beef sandwich and selected Mary's Special along with a side salad with house dressing. The beef was great; juicy & tender. I wasn't crazy about the bread; not bad just not as satisfying as other sandwich breads I've enjoyed in the area. The side salad was a perfect accompaniment. The line was short when I arrived but the restaurant was close to capacity. Line moved quickly and tables opened up and were cleaned off just as quickly. Adriana's is clearly popular and I'll be back to try other selections.

Today was my first time visiting. The sandwich is packed with meat, the garlic cheese bread is toasted to perfection. I ordered a side of Au Jus as well. I didn't really need it. The pasta side was for my three year old, he ate it all and wanted more. 10/10, I'd definitely revisit. I went around 230 on a sat so the place was packed. It's indoor and outdoor seating. Adriana's has a family home sort of feeling. The sandwiches are some of the best in all of saint louis, but the rest of the menu should be explored as well. I've been going here for lunch for a long time and the staff has always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. My go to sandwich is the Mary's special with au jus

This was my first time visiting Adriana's after hearing a lot of great things about it! I'm a big sandwich fan, and knew I had to try this place out when I was in the neighborhood. I was originally planning to get the meatball sub but the daily special (Hank the Tank) looked too good to pass up so I ordered that instead. The staff were very friendly and helpful with my choice as well, and the interior is very cozy with some tables and window seating. After tax the sandwich cost around $17, but it was SO big and very flavorful! The sauce complemented the meatballs and bread perfectly. I ate half of the sandwich for lunch and will plan to eat the rest for dinner. Great place and I can see why it's a beloved stable in the neighborhood! Will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches sometime soon :)

I always love coming to this place! The Theresa sandwich is my favorite... love the dressing on it. I love how it is family owned and operated- the lady at the cash register is always so friendly!

I have been by this place many times, but never tried. A family owned place that is quaint, yet quite busy. I went with the Italian sausage sandwich. It was good and the sausage was excellent. For the amount of bread to the sandwich, I would like the red sauce to have (more) of a punch, to balance better against the bread. There are all sorts of sandwich and entree oriole at this place. I could see other items on other tables....and I can tell, they have to be great. I'll definitely be back to this place...

Adriana's has the best pizza in St. Louis. Absolutely no contest. It's the usual Friday Special, the Sicilian Slice. The standard configuration is a four cheese blend. It's so good, no other toppings are necessary. I don't think you can get it any other way, at least on Fridays. Once or twice a year they might have a Meatball Slice Special on a Wednesday. Same thing with some sliced meatballs added. I've been tempted to take some samples and have them run through a mass spectrometer to try and tease out the non-obvious ingredients. I just don't have the willpower to be around a bit of the stuff for as long as that would take without eating it. Fantastic, friendly service as always. Charming Sicilian decor and ambiance.

This little authentic Italian sandwich shop on "the Hill" came with a local recommendation and it did not disappoint. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas and street parking. We got half and half with mambo siciliano and olive salad, another one with Clair and Adriana's salad and fresh pasta with red sauce and a side of meatballs. The sandwiches were super flavorful and fresh but really the best thing I had there was the pasta and meatballs. It was a simple marinara sauce packed with flavor and the meatball was super tender. I definitely will get the meatball sandwich with some gardiniera next time but really I don't think there's a bad option on the menu. I really had a hard time narrowing it down. I would highly recommend checking out the Hill on your next visit to St Louis and stop in for a quick bite here. You won't regret it.

Adriana's On The Hill is one of the top contenders in the ongoing debate over the best sandwich in St. Louis. Their Carlo and Italian Tuna sandwiches are particularly popular, as is their delicious homemade soup and zesty Olive Salad. It's hard to pick just one place, but Adriana's is definitely one of the top spots on my list. Their roast beef sandwiches are a must-try! The place gets very busy, so be prepared to wait, but the food is definitely worth the wait.

Where do I start? This place is tucked away on a little street corner smack dab in the middle of the best Italian neighborhood in the Midwest! This little eatery boasts a stacked menu and every one of the items delivers! It's my personal goal to have everything on the menu ... and I live well over an hour away. Definitely my go-to lunch spot in The Lou. Ps ... start with the Grace and a side of pasta. You can leave your thank you's in comments!

My husband and I are doing a Summer STL Sandwich City tour and this was our first stop. It's also in first out of the 10 other places we have tried so far. The bread... the sauces... mouth watering! Busy but still easy to sit and enjoy. We got to share a table and chat with others enjoying their sandwiches. Our favorite so far and will keep coming back!!

I like the sandwiches although I do think they should have size options. The sandwiches are way too large for one person. I think the sandwiches are above average, I talk to a lot of people who really love them though. If you're looking for a sandwich, I would put this on the recommendation list. You just may want to bring a friend to help you finish the other half.

Adriana's is an absolute MUST if you're looking for a fast and DELICIOUS lunch option. They've got so much to choose from and the ingredients are so incredibly fresh! The Ragu was so bright and sweet and comforting...I had to go back and ask for a quart size deli container to take home. Yes, you can take the comfort to Adriana's home with you. The atmosphere is so welcoming and there's plenty of tables so you can sit and enjoy your lunch. The staff is so sweet and friendly. I cannot wait to go back again to try the house salad and dive into the sandwich menu because how could you not??!

I have visited Adriana's several times and each time I am always rewarded with a great sandwich and salad. I love the lunch combos that they offer, this way you get to try a little of both! I went for the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad which was amazing. I tried the Gorgonzola Beef sandwich which didn't disappoint. The warm roast beef piled high with Gorgonzola and Italian blue cheese on top of the beef. It becomes warm and soft. The flavor was so good. Then house salad is always yummy, something so simple but the vinaigrette takes it to the next level. Great food and can't wait to go again.

Ah, so many wonderful things to say about Adriana's and the people that work there. The food is amazing ! I had the tuna salad. It was enough to feed a family of five . It was so good with an oil based to make it take absolutely incredible. The team that works behind the counter are incredible. It's a must visit for lunch .

The Vibe Went in on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. Line was kinds long and the place was bustling, but moved relatively quick. Felt like a classic mom and pop neighborhood shop. You could tell the owners cared about the food from the minute you stepped in. When I got to the staff were nice and accommodating despite being super busy. The food I got the half and half with Italian Salsicca sandwich/Adriana's salad. The bread on the sandwich was super soft and toasty. The marinara on the sub had just the zest you are looking for. Tasty peppers, onions and sausage filled the sandwich. Was a top tier Italian sub overall. Only change I'd make is a bit more spice and a bit less marinara. But the sauce was so good I didn't mind. The vinegarette really makes the salad. Ham and salami was a great touch in there. Solid salad overall. Conclusion Great lunch spot tucked away on the hill. There's a good reason it's crowded on the weekends. Would come back.

My boyfriend took me to Adrianna's and I LOVED IT! The bread is amazing I love the sesame seeds on it and the roast beef is super good. They had amazing service with how busy they were and I was able to say hi Adrianna and meet her, she is my aunts best friend and I was super excited to be able to meet her and say hi! Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend people to it!

Nothing fancy, but they make some of the best sandwiches you will ever eat. Will 100% return the next time we are in St Louis.

So, I got sucked into this place that I haven't been in in years by their FB lunch post. The lunch special, "Hank the Tank"(@$15.95) drew me in. Giant pepperoni, giant meatballs, and ground sausage on garlic cheese bread, coated in their house marinara. GTHO...HUGE! I could only eat half, and was gorged afterwards. I only wish that I had asked for sliced onion and maybe banana peppers/ jalapeños on it. Delicious-

My favorite Italian sandwich shop on "The Hill", a historic section of St.Louis known for persons of Italian descent, great ready to eat Italian food as well as provisions for your larder. This restaurant serves pasta, salads and Antipasto too but is particularly known for their delicious and imaginative sandwiches. All are served on daily freshly baked bread and are what is known as Submarine Sandwiches. I've gotten several different choices but my favorite is the Sunny Veggie. It's made with Artichoke hearts, lettuce, tomato, onions and bell peppers on garlic cheese bread, served with or without vinaigrette. My spouse loves the Meatball but also gets the Clare sometimes and if you're eating meat, I suggest the Gorgonzola Beef. Sandwiches come alone or order half with a side as a combo. Be prepared to wait because everything is made to order by staff who are friendly but serving customers in house first and to go orders second. It is well worth the time because the food is real and plentiful. On Saturdays, the line is out the door. Whenever someone is visiting, we always take them here. Frequently, we take the food home and even after an hour drive, it's still tasty. Sandwiches are between 12-14 inches for a whole and usually can't be consumed in 1 sitting. Cost for 3 sandwiches, about $38- but a lot of food ! Try them ! Old school vibe, the focus is on the food and service.
