The 6 Best Restaurants In Vauxhall - London - The Infatuation

"Adulis is a spacious, homely, dinner-only Eritrean spot on Brixton Road. Not only is it a casual place to get a weeknight dinner, but it’s so filling that you’ll probably end up with a goody bag for later. Save yourself the angst of deciding between everything on their lengthy menu and go for one of the platters. Our go-to is the veg and meat platter. It’s got a nice mix of vegetarian options from a comforting hamili stew, to a peppery zighni that we’re very into. All served on a satellite dish-sized injera, it makes for a deeply satisfying meal." - rianne shlebak

Our Favourite Black-Owned Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"A typical Eritrean meal waits until all members of the family are seated before breaking injera. And at Adulis—an Eritrean restaurant in Vauxhall that’s over 25 years-old—togetherness is in every single bite. The casual spot is a place for gathering and sharing—splitting sour, tangy injera and scooping zighni (a heartily spicy beef stew) or hamili (a garlicky vegetarian spinach stew) that’s both comforting and refreshing. Bring a team—you’ll need the stomachs—or bring your most indecisive friend and watch them fully relax when you order the veg and meat platter for the table." - team infatuation

Delicious food! I was walking by the Parisian Neighbourhood and there Weren’t different restaurants to go to. So when I saw the restaurant, I was really glad because they have different plates that I’ve never heard of and also vegetarian choices to do. I really think that is a great opportunity for those who always want to find food to experience for the first time. Plus, The service of the restaurant is really good, They are very synthetic and gentle. I’m glad I met this restaurant! The price is good and the quality, too. Beat an African food that is really delicious to eat! This dish in the photo is like a mix of some plates that the restaurants have. Just perfect!

6 stars out of 5. We were not familiar with this kitchen but it exceeded our expectations. The service was very personal, super friendly. The food was delicious. We had samosas for starters, both veggie and the one with meat were very good. So much flavour. We had GoredGored, Adulis mix and Tumtumo. All very well seasoned, not too spicy.

While wandering through Paris, we stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try, as Parisian cuisine hadn’t quite worked out for us. It was our first time trying Eritrean food. The place itself is unremarkable in terms of interior, but the staff is incredibly friendly. At 5:30 PM, we were the only customers, and we ordered a traditional dish recommended by the waiter. The portions were huge, and the food was delicious! For two people, plus two juices, the total was 41 euros. Highly recommend visiting!

We'd never had Eritrean food before but were very familiar with Ethiopian food. This was perhaps the best we've ever had, nicely seasoned and prepared. Friendly folks, quick service, awesome food. Got a veggie sampler for two (gluten free and vegan), more than enough food, good price. Should we find ourselves back in Paris we will definitely go back!

A nice little restaurant with great food. The owner is very friendly. He kindly introduced the country, culture and food to us. It's our first Eritrean food experience and the food was beyond our expectations.

We discovered this hidden gem on our way exploring vegan restaurants! I rarely have African cuisine and it is surprisingly impressive! I would definitely take my friends or family to this place by any chance. We appreciate a friendly staff who is a patient gentleman answering our questions about unfamiliar ingredients and how we are supposed to have meals as locals!🥰💝

I have long dreamed of trying Eritrean cuisine, because in my native Bulgaria there is no such restaurant, unfortunately. Today 19.12.2024.around 5 pm, my friend and I visited this interesting place, where we were greeted warmly and friendly. We were the only guests at that time. There was pleasant music from this region of Africa. We were treated to extremely delicious salads and dishes. For two people, two salads, two dishes, a glass of wine and one juice, we paid less than 58 euros. The place is not visible from afar, but this is precisely the charm of such restaurants. I highly recommend it to anyone who, like us, comes from a country with not such a wide variety of world cuisine, but has always dreamed of trying delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere.

This was my favorite dinner in Paris! The food is delicious. I really loved the shiro and the tibsi, which were beautifully seasoned and full of flavor. The sambusa was also a great appetizer. On a side note I love how many veggies there are, since I haven’t seen a single vegetable in Paris before then. 🥬🥗 This restaurant is a great option for the health-minded, or those looking for vegetarian options. Finally, the owner is very friendly too!!
