"Although kids will love this museum’s three-floor soft jungle gym (where they can slide, climb, and jump through a model digestive system) and the child-size firemen’s truck and ambulance, adults will get a kick out of it, too. There are exciting, interactive exhibits where you can learn about astronomy, biology, physics, weather, technology, energy, sound, and creativity. Plus, Adventure Science Center is home to the renowned Sudekum Planetarium and is located five minutes from downtown Nashville with a breathtaking view of the city. "

Our new favorite spot in Nashville! It was our first time here, and we absolutely fell in love. We live in Huntsville, AL, and usually come to Nashville for the zoo-but this place might become our new go-to. Our three-year-old had a blast! Even though she’s still a bit young to grasp everything, she loved experimenting and interacting with all the exhibits. You could almost see the wheels turning in her little head! It’s a fantastic place to learn through play-with exhibits on physics, science, the human body, space, music, and more. The science demonstration, with fire as the theme, was a definite highlight. There’s also a craft room and even a designated area for younger ones like our 10-month-old crawler to safely explore. Overall, such a fun and enriching experience for the whole family!

The Adventure Science Center was a great place to come and learn and play with some fun exhibits. While I feel like there is a lot of wasted space and more could be squeezed in here, there is a a good bit of entertaining areas that you'll enjoy roaming around and seeing. From generating power from hand cranks, to learning how much you'd weigh on different planets, to learning about the body and its functions, and even seeing some dinosaur bones, this place had a little of everything. On top of that, it was clean, not too crowded and everything was easy to find. We did purchase tickets to the planetarium and had a great 30 minute show. It was a very informative session and the projector/doom were amazing and very HD quality. Overall, a fun little place to brings kids to learn about science and spend some time. It also has a nice little jungle gym area in the center and you can even go to the roof and see the city from the windows in the top dome. Very cool!

Google
Kids had a blast, definitely more geared towards older kids, even though they do have a little room for early exploration. Older kids have a chance to understand it better. Space, energy, the human body, and how it works. It's still a fantastic place for a home field trip

Google
My 9yr old had a blast. He didn't know what to do first. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is because there were multiple things that didn't work. I do understand that there are times when things break, but there were multiple things. Also there were some things that just didn't work for us based on the instructions. The thing wasn't broken, but the instructions didn't allow us to do the thing. It was still a good trip and my son loved it. We did the planetarium and it was a good show.

The perfect escape from the summer heat (or a rainy day)! There are exhibits for all ages to enjoy and the climbing tower is a great place to burn some toddler energy! Take the elevator to the third floor and climb to the top for a beautiful view of the city. There’s a food court with a Subway and frozen yogurt shop if you’re looking to get lunch or a snack.

🌟✨ We Got a First Look! ✨🌟 We had the amazing opportunity to experience the VIP Preview of the Adventure Science Center’s brand-new Early Exploration space — designed just for little ones ages 5 and under! From colorful, hands-on exhibits to imaginative play zones, this space is a dream come true for curious minds and busy little hands. 🎨🔍🛝 🎥 Check out the highlights from our visit — our toddlers had an absolute blast exploring, learning, and laughing their way through science and fun! If you have little explorers of your own, this is a must-visit spot in Nashville! 📍 Open soon to the public — visit AdventureSci.org for more information.

Google
Absolutely amazing place! Everything that a science center should be. Planetarium included. Tons of activities for the kids, as well as a great learning experience for adults. If you live in Nashville and have not been here you are definitely missing out. We take our kids here every chance we get. If you visit and love it, we would recommend getting the season passes, as it is cheaper in the end. Put the phone on hold. Pack a lunch, or hit the cafeteria. Bring family, friends, and acquaintances alike. There's no doubt that everyone will love it.

Google
It was very entertaining for children and adults alike. I would very much recommend. The subway was not overpriced and the little mochi shop in the back the children loved it! The exhibits very scholarly and all ages could learn something! The science show was the group's/ my favorite!

Yelp
I don't think I truly experienced the value of the museum until I had a young child. This is honestly one of the best options for an indoor, rainy day activity on the weekend within the city. Often I have some neighboring events in Berry Hill or Chestnut Hill, so my partner will take our toddler here. There's plenty of parking, especially if you go in right as the museum opens on the weekend. With this strategy (of either arriving right on time or a few minutes before), we don't wait in line with a membership. There is a highly interactive play area for younger kids right in the middle of the museum, underneath the colorful indoor playground that extends two floors above. We spend most of our time on these two features, but our kid also really loves anything interactive here: the digestive system with foam balls as food you can toss into a mechanical mouth, build-your-own vehicles to learn about acceleration, and anything dinosaur related peppered throughout the building. For a young child, this is absolutely engaging and entertaining. I've head they have quite a few planetarium guided tours for adults as well during weekday evenings that have been a hit with my former colleagues. Highly recommend for young families on rainy days.

Yelp
When I first moved to Nashville, I was always curious about "that building that looks like the original Power Rangers Command Center"...and located just south of downtown, that building is the Adventure Science Center which turned out to be a family-focused, kid inspired, educational and interactive spot. Weirdly while families are the main audience here, I have been to a few events and experiences sans kids over the past few years from events to shows, but I have also brought my young nephews here for an afternoon of fun as well. My latest experience here was via the Sudekum Planetarium for a James Hood experiential showing of Beautifica. This was not my first time in the planetarium, so I was excited to get back in the seats and stare at the ceiling while sinking in my chair! When there are not scheduled experiences or shows in the planetarium, you can catch educational recordings as part of the standard center experience. Outside of the planetarium, there are two floors full of interactive and educational stations and exhibits. Everything is rooted in education, so it is really cool to learn the "behind the scenes" details about how so many things work. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is never an issue, as the staff stay on top of all areas from the parking lot to the exhibits and restrooms. Conditionally, some of the stations could use some TLC, and other areas could use a bit of updating. Parking is plentiful, even on event evenings. A few spots at the front, but most of time you will have to be in the lot across the street, which has easy access via crosswalk and stairs/ramp. Pricing is a bit of surprise with general admission set at $18 per kiddo and $22 per adult. And in the case of special events, such as Beautifica, tickets for just that start well above $30. Worth it for the experience and what they are offering for the littles, but sticker shock for sure. Overall, Adventure Science Center is a cool spot and I will continue to support however possible.

Yelp
The visit here I found to be very informational and interactive on some parts. Fun to experiment with and I thought the prices to be fairly worth it for the general admission. There's much to see here. Space, human body, animals, there's tons of variety on the three floors here. The third floor is just two things though but stilll fairly educational if you are looking for that. Oh yes, the show too. That was also good and a must-see as told on the ticket admission. Gnarly place! Great for family and school trips.
google avatar

Mirko P.

Yelp
A very nice place to spend time with grandchildren. Educational environment with a lot of activities to learn using games as a foundation. Generally it's a very busy place, specially over the weekends. Having a membership is paying for a long ride. Interacting with other children also improving social skills. It's a place to visit.

Yelp
Such a well laid out Science Center. We have been to several across the country and this was one of the best! Everything is spread out nicely so even though there were lots of people there, it didn't feel cramped and there was plenty to do without waiting in a line! Also, plenty of bathrooms throughout the facility which is always great with little ones! Very clean and all the staff was super sweet. The planetarium movies are a MUST if you are going! Definitely worth it! I was by myself with a 3 and 6 year old boys and had no troubles getting around and it kept their attention the whole time!

C L.

Yelp
The place was fun and engaging--my kids absolutely loved it! I have a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old, and it was a hit with both of them. The price was very reasonable, and what really stood out were the extra amenities. Their favorite was the 4D rollercoaster ride--it added an exciting touch to the whole experience.

Yelp
The Adventure Science Center was very informative! I took my son & niece...they did not want to leave!

Yelp
I am from St.Louis so our science center is free and I wasn't sure what to expect since I had to pay BUT it was amazing and I would probably pay more. Free parking, so many activities, multi levels and so much more! We love this place and will definitely be back when we come back to Tennessee
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for a great spot to host a fun, special event? Add the Adventure Science Center to the list! Who knew? I took my children here when they were little, but received an invitation to a private event held here and was pleasantly surprised by all that was offered. It was ample space, tons of activities, food and drink installations, artists, DJs - swag tables. You name it! Definitely had a good time and would recommend a visit for the little ones too!!

Yelp
What a fun, family-friendly spot! This is a great, hands-on option if you're looking for a place to bring visiting family or friends with children. My niece and nephew (both under 5-years-old) really enjoyed themselves, as did the rest of our group. The entry prices initially seem bit steep ($18 for kids ages 2-12, $22 for adults), but if you end up spending a few hours here, you'll get your money's worth. I'm also happy to support them as a local non-profit. There are several wonderful exhibits - our favorite was BodyQuest! I also love the beekeeping display on the third floor. We didn't get to check out the planetarium this time around, but I definitely want to next visit. I also love that they offer an adults-only night this summer called Camp Way Late. I'm grateful to have such a cool activity for all ages available in Nashville, and I would happily recommend the Adventure Science Center to locals and tourists alike.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
It looks way smaller on the inside than outside. The planetarium was cool The price for entry was 22 bucks. I didn't think it was worth it.
google avatar

Adriana K.

Yelp
Such a great time! My 5 year old was enthralled by the music exhibit, particularly the one where you could pretend to play instruments. He also loved the human body exhibit and adventure tower. We thought the fossil and bee keeper exhibits would be bigger, but they were still interesting. The innovation garage was fun, but I feel like he'd have enjoyed it more if he was just a little older. We were also running out of time by the time we entered, so we didn't stay long. We visited on a Friday and my only wish was that they stayed open longer than 3pm. We definitely could have stayed longer.
google avatar

Clarrisa N.

Yelp
A great spot for indoor fun with kids. Nothing for the tiny tots but a lot of hands on for the other kids. They have an indoor jungle Jim to help let off some energy and a place to eat that has a subway and yogurt spot. I highly recommend to add a "movie" , we chose "To worlds beyond". The theater has a screen that shows the film from the ceiling along with reclined seating. Lots of parking available. Stroller friendly. Place was clean.
google avatar

Criselda C.

Yelp
I went ahead and got a membership. This Fall, my kiddo enjoyed The Hive exhibit and we visited the bees almost weekly. They also have a frozen yogurt station which is a nice quick snack in between activities and exhibits.
google avatar

Beth H.

Yelp
Came here for our little ones fourth birthday and she had the most amazing time ever. There are so many different hands on activities and things to see. We got here around 1:30 and we stayed until closing. We were able to visit the planetarium and for the most part we made our way through the entire science center some areas we could've stayed a little longer, but we most definitely will be back. The hand zone science experiment made it worthwhile. This place is perfect for a family outing, school field trips and even a first date.
google avatar

Eric D.

Yelp
I felt like a kid again... the exhibits here are such a blast. My niece and nephew had such a good time and walked away with huge smiles on their faces! I really enjoyed the space exhibit, being able to see the scale of all the different planets was fascinating. This probably a two or three hour experience depending on how long you spend in each area. There's a food court with a subway in case you get hungry, but you can also bring snacks in for the kiddos. Be sure to have the kids checkout the jungle gym on the top floor, it's a lot of fun. You'll most likely have to park across the street and walk over, unless you get super lucky, so bundle up if it's cold out. There's so much to love about this place and I'm glad Nashville has something like it.
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
Fun place to beat the heat for a good few hours. All hands on. $22 for adults and $18 for children. Under 2 are free. We spent almost 3 hours here just playing with everything.
google avatar

Juvie C.

Yelp
About a 20 minute car ride from the Gaylord Resort and Spa and about 10 minutes outside of downtown. Only about 1/4 the size of the Houston Children's Museum, so were somewhat disappointed. Also some of the displays were not working and we were told they were pretty old. They did have live science experiments (during our visit they were showing liquid nitrogen) and live animal interactions, which were cool. May not return, but was good to visit during our trip to Nashville. PRO PARENT TIP: AAA Members get a discount! They will also hold car seats, boosters, etc. at the front desk for you while you meander through the museum.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
We got here 50 minutes before closing. The lady at the front desk offered us half off prices if we wanted to explore. I thought that was very nice of her. My kids enjoyed the astronomy exhibits and the playground. They're a little young to appreciate the body quest exhibit and they weren't veery interested in the sound exhibit. I wanted to check out the Infinium Room but it was closed.
google avatar

Veronica M.

Yelp
So this place have been here for a while now. I came here a long time ago, too long to remember details of it . This is an awesome place to bring the whole family for a field trip and let the kid inside come out. We came here yesterday as part of my son's birthday activities and we ended up getting the year membership! I'm so excited to bring him here as much as possible throughout the year. Just the playground alone is worth it for him. He got so excited when he was able to just run free! It's big enough for parents to go inside and play with the kids. They have different sections of learning experience that we really enjoyed. My son was so tickled by the fart sound where they show you and teach you about the digestive system. They had a big T-Rex that was his favorite. It moves and makes some noises. He was like "wow". They have so many things that we didn't have time for all so we are glad we go the membership. They give each child a gift from the gift shop on their birthdays so I'm excited to come here for our daughter's birthday too. She enjoyed all the bright colors and kids running around. She so wanted to be the one running too. They definitely need to fix and upgrade a few of their features and exhibits but for the most part everything work and we had a great experience. Ps: Adam rocks!
google avatar

Maggie B.

Yelp
I was so disappointed by our trip here. This will be the first and last time we go to the science center. I expected more of a museum/learning center, but it felt more like a noisy play place/arcade. The atmosphere was so loud and chaotic, at one point my preschooler needed me to pick him because he was so overstimulated. Our kids liked the space display and the music center, but a lot of the interactive computer experiences weren't working. They need to work out the glitches. Also, the climbing center shown on google reviews no longer exists, which disappointed our kids. The staff was very friendly, but in the end my oldest said out of nowhere "It was fun, but I didn't really learn anything." So, won't be going again.
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
If you have kids and love science/learning, I highly recommend the Adventure Science Center. The center is super fun and educational with hands-on learning opportunities. They cover a wide range of topics including space, the human body, sound, and physics.
google avatar

Dana N.

Yelp
This place is awesome! So many great exhibit areas. We loved the area all about human body, the play area on the top floor, the space ' planets and best of all the climbing excursion area was the best and last thing we did. Great rainy day place to go!
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Great place for kids! They have plenty of parking available. If you live or frequent Nashville, I highly suggest purchasing a membership which are a reasonable price. I bring my toddler here about twice a month, and she always loves it. My only critique is that some of the exhibits are worn down (especially the human body exhibit). They host different events every now and then which is nice. The staff is very friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to entertain the kids!
google avatar

Blake M.

Yelp
When the option to go back to camp for a night presents itself you gotta take it. The event was so much fun, the planetarium show and song writing gave it a true camp feel. Turnip green being set up and doing a leather working class so you got to take home a craft , top tier camp quality. I really enjoyed getting to go through this place as an adult , since at least once a year in elementary school we came here. I think going forward if they should have their alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks named differently.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited the Adventure Science Center on Friday afternoon as a group of four (three adults and one child) and it was such a cool experience. We purchased the tickets online 2 hours before arriving for 11 AM. They were flexible with the time, as we arrived a few minutes after 11 AM and were still able to come in. I think that they base it on capacity limits vs. being strict on the time you arrive, which I appreciated coming from Metro Atlanta, GA. There were a few field trips there during our visit, which was cool for us because it gave my son other kids to play with during his exploration time. Once inside, I could see that there were three floors of science-related entertainment and exhibits for toddler, preschool and elementary aged kids. The middle of the interior structure was set up like a large playground with slides and things to touch and climb on/in. The third floor portion of it had rope for climbing up high. I also liked that they had interactive virtual games. I had fun and learned a few things too. We did not purchase any add ons, but enjoyed the free 11:45 AM Live Science Show! It was very fun and interactive and the host did an amazing job keeping the kids engaged for the duration of the show while ensuring safety. I recommend visiting this Adventure Science Center if visiting Nashville with kids (age 3-9). They have toddler areas as well and a Subway restaurant with frozen yogurt options on the second floor which makes for an easy lunch.
google avatar

Joshua T.

Yelp
So this was our first time here and I am not sure what I was expecting from the name "science center" but I was not expecting it to be almost as bad as a Chuck E' Cheese or a kid zone where kids run free and lick windows. Although there was educational value where the other two places don't have any, the amount of unsupervised, undisciplined, obnoxious children running around like chickens with their heads cut off made the environment almost unbearable. Parents and chaperons (school groups) were failing to supervise the kids and keep them from acting insane. Some exhibits were non functioning, out of order, or missing parts that make them work properly. Even if Covid was a non-issue, I feel as if I would want to wash my kids hands at least 5 times after leaving. That thought that kids are germ magnets makes it worse when they are all sticking their hands on the "blood flow" water. Overall, there's potential, but changes need to be made.
google avatar

Susan Y.

Yelp
So much cooler in person thank it looks online. We really enjoyed the live science demonstration and were pleasantly surprised to find a subway inside to eat lunch. This was the absolute perfect place to take kids between three and ten years old. Some of the exhibits weren't quite working right and some of the "doctor" stuff was completely missing but will will still probably revisit in the future.
google avatar

Steph G.

Yelp
A pretty decent find... a mere mile from my house so we were able to walk. My daughter is 15 months, figured we should check it out. Super interactive, educational, and engaging exhibits for the wee ones. Prob better suited for 3+ but they did have this awesome infinity room with lights and mirrors- she loveeeeeed it. They also have a toddler play space- which is only so so. Their body exhibit was good- stairs to climb, colorful displayed, buttons to lush, running water exhibits etc. would totally have gotten a membership if my gal was a little older. Def a great place to visit especially on a rainy day!
google avatar

Kimmy S.

Yelp
Very fun pace for both kids and adults! My son really enjoyed the spending the day here. We came here on a Sunday and stayed for about 4 hours. Basically open to close. There were a lot of hands on activities here and lots of useful education for kids and even adults. This place is not as big as I thought it would be but big enough for my 4 year old. He particularly love building the cars and launching them, along with the music area and body quest. Actually he enjoyed everything here so no complaints. I thought admission was a bit pricy and of course the gift shop is overpriced. We ended up spending a little over 100$ on food, admission, and gift shop souvenirs. Staff was friendly and it's free parking which is a plus. Super close to downtown. About 5 mins away.

Yelp
I've been here many times as a child, and this was my first time going as a parent with my two year old. Me and my husband took him for a day out, and he was mind blown the entire time we were there! We were there for two hours, and I'm not even sure we covered half of it. It's informational, and extremely safe to let your kid have a bit of space to explore and learn. it's well priced, not expensive at all, and a load of fun! Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
Sad seeing so many bad reviews just because they enforce their mask policy. We had an amazing time here. I did at first feel it was overpriced but once we got inside and saw all the fun cool exhibits I quickly changed my mind. The planetarium show of video filmed inside the space station was amazing, and the moon walk exhibit was fun for even an adult like myself who did it so the youngest could do it again. We had a lot of fun facts to talk about on our way home. I do feel for people who wish they'd make exceptions for autistic children on the mask policy as the 6 year old is on the spectrum as well and needs lots of extra reminding to keep his on and was bummed that he couldn't go back into the planetarium show after it gave him a bit of a sensory overload but I can't fault a business for being one of the rare ones who try to strictly enforce a mask policy. It would be odd if a science museum completely ignored the science on the spread of covid.
google avatar

Christie B.

Yelp
This is a fun day to spend time exploring science with your kids. Lots of interactive fun and the planetarium is very cool!
google avatar

MaryLinda W.

Yelp
While visiting my husband's grandson (and his parents!), they used their membership to bring us here. Our 14-month old grandson enjoys the 5 and under room as well as climbing up the steps to the planetarium! Due to our grandson's young age, he is limited to what he can do so we didn't take full advantage of everything here. We look forward to returning as he gets bigger.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
This was a fun stop not only for kiddos but adults too. My husband and I had just as much fun interacting with the exhibits as my 4 and 16yo did! The Universe, Physics, The Body, Light and Sound... they pack these exhibits in and keep them extremely interactive. We had a ton of fun in the lights/video area before we escaped over to the Body.... full of gross bodily function facts but perfect for an educational visit. The small food court upstairs houses a frozen yogurt area and a subway. I slammed a lemonade because no food/drink is allowed out in the main area, it was good and economical! Lots of healthy snacks for kiddos. We did not check out the gift shop but we did have to climb all over the HUGE jungle gym in the middle of the building, 3 or 4 stories tall! Your going kid could easily get lost in here so I'd recommend going in with them. There's also a station with a wristband and opportunity to write your name/number in case your kiddo gets lost- and it's free! Overall, it was a fun hour visit. We had reciprocal passes with our local museum (we were visiting Nashville) so remember to take advantage of this perk if it applies to you!
google avatar

Allison C.

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun and really creates a hands on experience for science. The price is totally worth it, so if you're in the area make some time to go. The building is massive with activities covering 3 floors (the 3rd shouldn't really count as it's an open space with views of Nashville). While there is a lot to do, I feel like they could have even more activities as there was quite a bit of emptiness to some parts of the museum. My daughter loved the VR activities, especially the moonwalk, but be prepared to wait 30 minutes + for a 60 second walk. There is a food court on the second floor with subway and a frozen yogurt shop, both clean and delicious. Restrooms are easily found and for the most part super clean, especially with SO many school groups visiting.
google avatar

Terrence L.

Yelp
The science center is a great place for kids to explore the world we live in. There is almost always a field trip happening there! Even if your an adult, it's a good place to go and learn! The planetarium I'd extra but it was such a cool experience! If we lived closer, I would probably get a membership for my boys!
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
Great family place in Nashville. Activities for a wide range. Reasonable price. Did not try the cafeteria or check it out.

Yelp
Wow! We could have spent all day here. There is so much to learn about and discover, and there is something for all ages. Adventure Science Center isn't the biggest museum we've ever been to, but it's three stories and has so many fun and educational exhibits, so it feels a lot larger. We got in for free because of the ASTC Travel Passport. We are members of our state museum, so this allows us to visit select other museums for free that are 90 miles away from us. So if you are a member of a science or history museum, check your membership benefits -- you might be able to visit for free, too. My kids both said that their favorite part of the museum was this little dark room that you walk into that makes you feel like you're walking in space. They went in five times! There is also an exhibit where you can walk on the moon. And this was just in the space area. In another area, we shot later beams at germs, threw balls in a circulatory system, climbed up a tower to a window above the museum roof, put our hands through a tornado, walked through a giant brain, and a lot more. My kids were running around like crazy people, just going from one exhibit to the next, having so much fun. When it's time to eat, you can head to the second floor, where there is a eating area with a Subway restaurant, or you can eat your own food (that's what we did). The bathrooms are well equipped for young children: there are step stools by the sinks to make hand-washing easier, as well as little toilets that are low to the ground. This is a very kid-friendly museum.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
This place is really cool. There is so much to do for children here. We had a great time but it was crazy busy! Idk how people didn't lose their child here. Recommend trying to come when it isn't too busy.

Yelp
Good but not great. This place desperately needs updating. Most interactive displays were either not working or falling apart. The Sudekum Planetarium showed "Space Explorers ISS experience". It showed the crew at the space station. The entire show was filmed inside the space station as crew talked about daily duties. The only problem was, they talked but we didn't get to see how most of these things looked. For example; a crew member talked about her first time getting into her bed and the challenges of getting in and out to use the bathroom at night. This is the sort of thing most people would be interested in seeing. Especially children. See how different it is to get in and out of bed is relatable. The families with small children left the movie early as they seemed bored. IMO, To get children in 2021 excited about space exploration, how the body works or understanding sound waves, displays have to be updated & explained for all levels.

Yelp
We loved it here! I think we stayed about 3 or 4 hours. Make time for the planetarium, the kids loved it. We brought our lunch but there is a little snack area that looked yummy.

Yelp
My daughter (nearly 2 years old) and nephew (just over 2 years old) had a fabulous time at Adventure Science Center during our recent visit. So many hands-on exhibits that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Definitely recommend getting there early (they open at 9:00am each day) if you want to try to avoid the crowds! The only complaint I have is that the admission price is slightly steep for adults, but that is to be expected for places like this. Look forward to visiting in the future, as some of my family members purchased a family membership.

Yelp
Lots of hands on activities for kids to explore. Some were not working. Overall a typical children's museum. However, if you have kids over third grade, your kids may get bored. Definitely gears for early elementary age. My kids thought it was a bit too young for them. They are 10 and 12. Some reviews comment on ill behaved children. This is a reflection on parents NOT the science center. Not the staff's job to parent children. Unfortunately, that is a side effect of all children's museums.

Yelp
This was a really fun stop for our family and 3 kiddos while we were in Nashville. There's something fun for all ages. It's educational and fun at the same time. They open really early which is an awesome bonus for people trying to squeeze in as much activity in one day while vacationing as they can like us. The cost wasn't too bad either. We spent about 2 hours there although we definitely could have spent more if it weren't for our cranky infant. The exhibits are really interactive so the kids got into it a lot. There is even a play area for 5 year Olds and under so that if they need to do a little more low key activities they can. All my kids loved it!

Yelp
This place was horrible. Coming from St. Louis where the Science Center is free and also really nice and caters to all ages, adults included...I found this to be unaccpetable. Paying $15 for exhibits that don't function and look like they haven't been updated since the late 80's was crazy. I even heard a little kid ask if they could leave. This place is geared more towards the 5 and under crowd. Maybe if you live there you've developed a history with it and enjoy it but I can't see how. The parking is absolutley ludacris. If you cant park by the building you have to park about 1/2 a mile down and walk. NOT FUN! They get 1 star just because the bathrooms were clean and even though I didn't eat there they have a Subway. TOURISTS BEWARE!!!! Save your money and go elsewhere!

Yelp
The planetarium offers laser shows in the evenings and it's one of the more fun, neat experiences in Nashville, as a resident. The incredible lasers move to popular songs while the stars spin behind the light show. Well worth a visit to check out!

Yelp
I absolutely love this science museum. There are so many fun and interesting exhibits and they have a few rides too. My favorite part was the planetarium and watching the night sky show. I learned a lot about the stars and constellations and would definitely come again. This is great to take kids, go on a date, or even go solo. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place gets points for following science and enforcing mask rules during a pandemic, but otherwise I'm thoroughly underwhelmed. We've lived here for more than a decade and 85% of so hasn't changed or been updated at all in that time. It's expensive to get in and everything looks cool from 10 feet away, but once you get up close it quickly becomes clear it's broken or isn't supposed to really do anything, or the thing it is supposed to do is super lame, even to a young child. We come every few years because the kids don't remember last time and it's enough to keep them busy for a few hours. Nashville lacks indoor kid-friendly activities, especially that are safe during a pandemic, but it would be a total waste of time and money to get a membership. Bottom line, if you're visiting or you need something to get the kids out of the house on a rainy day, it's probably worth it to go once. I wouldn't choose to come back, but I get overruled, so we come every few years.
