Decided to make the long walk out from the old city, and it was a bit far, but the views were incredible. You're not far outside of the city, but you're immediately darting between pockets of jungle, rural town, and civilization proper. The flora, fauna, and views of the mountain are all spectacular. For the food itself, I ordered the obanzai, which included a number of small dishes featuring their homemade tofu, tempeh, soy sauce, miso, natto, and a mix of seasonal vegetables with a bowl of rice. Also ordered their mango enzyme juice, which was so good I went back for a glass of the strawberry. I will say that this is the most expensive meal I've had in Chiang Mai, but the quality and ambience justify the price. I don't know if I'll make it back in the short time I've got left in Chiang Mai, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for someone looking for a unique experience and a break from the endless curries and stir fries in the city.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, and the food! We had the weekend set menu and the katsu curry, and we would recommend both! The fermented tea and raw cake were also great and made our meal even more special.

Exceptional. Big fan. Was here in 2021, and just had to come back as soon as I can. So much care is put into the food. Everything tastes amazing. I find the dishes and seasoning refreshing creative as well. The fresh tofu was amazing.

Generally speaking, the food is of very high quality. The setting is designed in a Japanese style. In accordance with the norms of Japanese cuisine, each dish is prepared with great care. There is not a lot of space available at the restaurant. The environment is clean and comfortable to be in. Even though the portion sizes of each dish are fair, some people who consume a lot of food could find them to be too small. Because of the great quality of the food, the price of the cuisine is fairly high; however, it is well worth the money being spent. Perhaps you won't be able to consume it on a daily basis. The service at the restaurant is very courteous and of high quality.

Absolutely delicious food. The tofu, miso soup udon and enzyme juice were some of the best we’ve ever had. Friendly owner and staff!

The hot dishes were excellent, and the tofu was truly outstanding. Unfortunately, the raw cake was served still frozen, making it too hard to enjoy. I even asked for a knife, but none was available and asked me to wait. Honestly, I would rather they not serve the cake at all than risk such a disappointing experience. For a restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide, I expected more consistency.

If you go to Chiang Mai, do not miss this small gem. The food are so fresh and lovely. Everything about this humble, cozy shop is pure magical. Highly recommended and I will definitely come again.

Cozy, laid-back, and healthy. This place is a breath of fresh air tucked away from the city noise. Highly recommended for a quiet, delicious meal.
